I love books. I love the feel of them, the smell of them. I love to sit in used book stores and just take in the atmosphere, it's somewhere that makes me happy. I love to collect book, read them, and even write them. Basically, I LOVE books!

Wow. An interesting book. The vampire story was entertaining and fun. The poems are powerful and so full of pain. The whole book felt like I was reading someone's private journal. It almost made me feel guilty like I was invading the author's privacy.

There are many misspelled words and grammar mistakes. But that works for the book if a private journal feel is what you are going for. One mistake I just have to point out as it made me laugh so hard. It is on page 28 and it says a drunk was trying to get the bathroom to throw up! (Not get TO the bathroom, as it should say, but trying to get the bathroom itself to throw up.) Can't help laughing as that image is hilarious to me!

Now back to serious. I like this book because it really expresses some strong emotions. I think it can help people who are going through hard times as it makes it very plain that they are not alone. Everyone feels terrible sometimes. And, even if life is particularly difficult, everyone has an imagination to escape into when needed. Meaning the vampire story.

A Glimpse of What's to Come

I picked this book for the soul purpose of seeing the potential in an author's first work. I wasn't disapointed. The peoms really did not pull me in, but the short story's if Shadow did. I liked the final little twist.
