A heartbreaking, beautiful story. That will make you loose hours in a day. One that you definitely need tissues for. Highly recommend
Initially I really loved this book - I liked Grace the main character and felt that she had a bit of Eleanor Oliphant about her - however as the story went on it seemed to be a familiar read and I was wondering for ages if I’d read it before however it only dawned on me at the end that it is so similar to Grace After Henry by Eithne Shortall - even to the point where two of the main characters were also called Grace and Henry and that the plot had parallels and so I felt robbed!
That aside it was an easy read - the characters were believable even Ms Morris who completely irritated me at the beginning but who I ended up falling in love with.
If it wasn’t for the Grace After Henry similarities I would have scored it higher.
I'd rather give this a 2.5. I couldn't keep up with who was who and who related to who. It felt there was too much detail. I think my mistake was reading 2/3 similar books in one short period.
