This series is paced way too sedately. Government forces close in our hero, but Luca and his friend seem too nonplussed to do much about it beyond burying their heads in the sand. Luca discovers a secret about the graineliers, and his friend finds a resistance movement, but none of this did anything to elevate my pulse or interest.

Also, at this point in the series it is becoming distracting and disconcerting that their are no adult female characters with speaking parts. I overlook that fault in the creator's other series, 1 Ten Count 1 , since that is a gay romance with a very small cast, but I can see no reason to exclude women here. Maybe that is rectified in future volumes, but I won't be around to see it, as this is just too dull to continue reading.

There’s nothing really special about this story, and the characters’ apathy just makes me more disinterested than engaged. Given the wait for volume 3, I probably will not continue on unless it’s through the library.

... This series has been better than I expected. Which isn't to say it's particularly good, but it's surprisingly enjoyable on some level (like reading a doujinshi about characters you already know - otherwise they're too flat to stand on their own). Some of the concepts seemed novel, which was another unexpected surprise.

I absolutely love the univers and its very easy to get into it! The storytelling is smooth and its not to fast and pressed which is perfect for me because you have time to built a sort of connection with this univers.
I WILL READ THE NEXT VOLUME!!!!

Ah, the plot thickens.

Quite a few things happened in this volume. The graineliers find out Luca is a seed carrier and is taken away by them, which leads to him finding out what kind of carrier he is and that the graineliers are no what they appear.

Meanwhile, Abel, wanting to save Luca from an unknown fate, winds up befriending a member of Insecte, a shadow group full of anti-graineliers who want to bring down their organization. And the only way for them to do that is to become carriers themselves. Therefore, if Abel wants to join them, he may have to become a carrier as well.

While I’m glad the plot is moving along, it is still not clear exactly why the graineliers are so bad, so I hope that gets addressed in the next volume.

Lucas & Abel are now stuck working on the construction of a new plant research facility. The Government think there is carriers hidden there and put some herbicide in the worker’s water to trap them. Lucas, with two other men are send to Grainelier Headquarters since they refuse to drink the water.

Abel is brought to Insecte office, an anti-grainelier force. He has a chance to become a carrier and rescue Lucas, but the survival rate of the human swallowing seed is extremely low.

The story slowly starts to develop. The two friends are now separated and who know how long it will take before they are back together again. I like it, but it is a little bit on the slow side.

The second volume kicked off the story properly and I enjoyed it more than the first. Luca is still so closed off that we don't really get to know anything about him but at least Abel gets some chance for character development as he learns what Graineliers really are doing. It was also nice to get to read more lore about the seeds and power they hold.

The premise might feel a bit odd but I think it's growing (pun intended!) into an interesting story. Art is beautiful and everybody looks so graceful but also quite similar to each other. Especially the blond guys.

So far this series has a pretty straightforward government-vs-rebellion plotline, but the plant-human hybrid and powers are promising and intriguing.

I really like the covers for the chapters, which mostly show the characters doing normal life stuff that has nothing to do with the plot, like grocery shopping.

The plot thickens.

This serie is a proof that Rihito can write beyond bl.I'm obsessed with this series and its characters.I'm suffering because I need more chapters and this series only release a volume once every two years.*cry myself to sleep*

Luca is discovered to be a seed Carrier and taken away by the Graineliers.

3.5 stars Luca and Abel are both sweethearts - a little clueless, but friends to the end. I wish the story would move along a bit more with less exposition and more action.

The world-building in this series is super interesting, but somehow the way it’s executed is very slow and boring. I don’t think I’ll be continuing.

*chants "sad plant boy! sad plant boy!" repeatedly*

Anyway! I apparently forgot a character from the first one (Hugues), so I'll probably go reread that one and this one before I go to book 3. I'm intensely interested in this, it is up my alley and the art is great. (I am super tired and this is all of a review I can manage right now.)

After Luca and Abel are government-ordered to report to work on the construction of a seed manufacturing and research facility, the two are separated shortly after it is discovered that Luca has ingested an illegal seed with unknown, potential power. Even though the story moved at a rapid pace, it was very enjoyable due to the story being incredibly unique. Great volume.
