About the author

I am a happily married mother of three (two boys and one girl). I live in a very small town in Alabama. Never lived anywhere else. I’ve been writing since my early twenties, but I couldn’t seem to finish a book. I’ve started self-publishing with the encouragement from my mom. Without her encouragement, I don’t think I would’ve done it. She always supported me and writing is something I’ve always enjoyed doing. As long as I enjoy it, I’ll continue to do it. I’ve learned already that I can’t please everyone. Not all reviews will be good, not all reviews will be bad. I’m the one that has to be happy with my work.

I get my inspiration from life experiences, movies, television, other authors, and music. Music is definitely a big influence on my writing. I can hear a song and it can inspire an entire book for me. I listen to it while I’m driving or before I start writing and it keeps me inspired. I like to put music in my books, even if it’s just one song the characters listen to or hear at some point. Sometimes music has gotten me through the really tough times in my life and that’s why it inspires me.

I like to write fast-paced, steamy romance reads. I like for my males to be alpha-males and my heroines to be strong, but both need to have one weakness- each other. I am an avid reader. I absolutely love romance books!

This is book 2 of the Raven MC series. It's stated that you can read this as a standalone but I highly suggest you don't attempt that. I read the first book but even I felt lost for a while reading this since I read that several months ago. This is a more intense MC than what Im used to reading. There is a lot of death and one particular scene that made it hard for me to continue reading. I forced myself to push through and am glad I did. I loved how everything played out between Lincoln and Sully. It's pretty sad but I was also rooting for a certain death to happen and the author didn't disappoint. I will say even though I had to push through certain parts I still found this book to enjoyable. If your used to reading MC that isn't mild then I think you'd love this book.

Okay, I've been looking forward to reading Lincoln's Choice for a very long time and I'm so glad that I wasn't disappointed. JL Leslie manages to suck you into the world of Lincoln, Sully, and the seedy underbelly of the Ryker motorcycle club in a story that will have you biting your nails and sitting on the edge of your seat.

Lincoln and Sully may not be innocent. They might have their hands dirty from the sins of the club. but one thing you can guarantee? They make you crave their dark story. It's intense, it's fast paced, it's full of secrets that beg to be revealed, and the romance is H-O-T!!!

This book is filled with characters you seriously love to hate, twists and turns that will turn you into a nail biter, and an unusual, but enthralling love story for the ages. I'm a sucker for a great MC and this one is by far one of my favorites!

I enjoyed this book but at times got a bit list with the characters. Mostly it was clear but at others confusing. Once I got in the swing of thing the read was great with plenty of twists and turns. Although it's an MC book I think it's loosely based of them an more about the main sets of characters so anyone who doesn't really like MC books could read this with no problem. It's not to violent or in your face toucher so easy for most to read. The characters themselves were interesting and you read to the end yo see what happens yo them but it wasn't the intense ending I was expecting, it was actually quite simple.

Definetly a must read! I don't even know where to start with this one. Both Sully and Lincoln are dark characters with secrets but when their darkness mixes it becomes light. I was on the edge this whole book. Can't wait to see what J.L. Leslie has in store for me next!

If you loved Raiden's Choice then you will love this book. I loved meeting Lincoln and Sully. In reading this my heart broke few times for Lincoln but it mended itself as I continued reading. This book is above amazing and I can't wait to read more.

Lincoln's Choice is the sequel to Raiden's Choice; it continues the story after the death of Cal Harrison in the previous book.

Lincoln is the hero of the book and Sully, the heroine. Both are fantastic characters and I really enjoyed reading about them. My heart broke for Lincoln on more than one occasion but it also beat faster with some of the descriptions of him. Yummy is all I can say.

The storyline is intriguing and not predictable at all. As for the villain I wanted to kill him for his first appeareance. So the sign of a good book then LOL.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review but really recommend this book and series. Hot guys on motorcycles with lots of suspense, violence and romance. What more could you want.

Loved, LOVED, LOVED this book. Had me on the edge of my seat the entire way through. I fell in love with Sully and Lincoln despite their crimes. At times I became so upset, I wanted to through my iPad. But, I had to keep reading-I couldn't not keep reading. These characters are perfect in their imperfections. J.L. Leslie's writing pulls you in, wraps you up, and takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. This is my first book of Leslie's, I am anxious to read book one in this series and those to come in the future. A definite must read!

This is one dirty rough biker book! I loved this one. It's on the darker side and has a lot of the rando women game. Sometimes I really want that, and today I totally did. This is the 2nd of the series and I was so glad I got picked for an ARC. Wonderful addition, excited for more soon. Great job!!

Read this book as an ARC for an honest review. This is Lincoln and Sully's story. Lincoln had been thru some horrible stuf in jail and Sully was trying to find her sister. There is a lot of heavy stuff going on in this book, drugs, prostitution, human trafficking, and blood and death. This is more blood thirsty than some MC books I have read.

Linc and Sully are sexy, and we know they are falling in love, before they can even admit it to themselves, and we root for their HEA almost from the beginning....but sometimes relationships started with secrets and lies can’t surpass those obstacles....❤️🌼🔥

I volunteered to read this ARC in return for an honest review. This is the second book in the series. I loved Lincoln and Sully's story. Their love didn't come easy, but they fought hard for it. I was emotionally invested from the first chapter, to the last. My heart was beating so fast and I couldn't put it down. The book flowed so smoothly and I had no idea how it would end. So if you like sexy, motorcycle riding, guys with tattoos, you will love this book. I highly recommend that you read this, you won't be disappointed.

This is Lincoln's story! We met Lincoln in JL Leslie's first MC Ravens book Raiden's Choice. He is Luka's little brother and a member of Luka's rival motorcycle club the Rykers. They are supposed to be a club based on family and loyalty but Lincole begins to believe he may have been set up by then president Cal. Lincoln steps in as the possible leader of this club when their president Cal dies in Raiden's Choice, but is Lincoln cut out for this lifestyle. Even he begins to question whether he is. He's definitely a leader that is respected among the other club members but he starts to become suspicious of a lot of activities going on, especially when Cal's father arrives and decides he's the leader of the club. Thad is even more brutal than his son and rules with a violent and brutal hand, even towards the women and one in particular, Sully. However, there is an attraction between Lincoln and Sully that neither one can deny and Thad has no power over what is growing stronger between them.
Sully was Cal's old lady and now that Thad is in town, he claims her as his. She has her own secrets and is working to solve the disappearance of her sister and whether it's related to the Rykers.
This book definitely has some dark elements that may be disturbing to some, including rape and human trafficking and definitely violence occurring within the club but all of the scenes were done tastefully and were part of the story. Luka and Raiden become a part of this story as Lincoln realizes family is blood. I didn't quite feel the sizzle between Lincoln and Sully but the sex was hot and I definitely developed a little crush on Lincoln. The story moves at a great pace with lots of twists and turns and the end reveals there's another book to come.

That pretty much sums up the Rykers! Lincoln has allowed his lack of trust to alienate him from his brother who is a member of the rival MC Ravens. The ending of Raiden's Choice lays the foundation of Lincoln's Choice. The Rykers are trying to rebuild after losing Cal their president.

Sully being Cal's old lady seems to be trying to find her place in the new makeup of the MC but she is a strong and independent woman who holds her own- kinda. Lincoln and Sully share an intense passion and can't seem to fight it when they are together. I liked their chemistry but didn't feel the great love connection I did with Luca and Raiden. The Rykers are much more dangerous bunch and maybe their drama pulled me away from the love connection.

When Thad, Cal's dad, shows up he instantly takes over and made me hate him. His tight hold on the dealings of the MC create nothing but havoc; Lincoln and Sully must rely on one another to mentally survive.

Lincoln's Choice was a darker and more violent book than Raiden's Choice- that didn't bother me at all. I found it very intriguing and while I hated many things Sully either done or was forced to do you could identify with her inner struggle. Lincoln has his own demons to fight and can't figure out who to trust or what to do about it. Their journey is scary, intense and even a little grotesque. There were twists and turns that had me on edge, but the ending was worth that journey.

The second book in this series, Lincoln's Choice is raw and gritty and will take you on one hell of a ride. The Ryker's MC are facing an uncertain future following the death of their president. If we thought Cal was bad, he's got nothing on his replacement. A truly twisted man, and quite delusional, he wastes no time in asserting his authority over the Club.

I tried hard not to like Lincoln, our main man, who after all is a man who does terrible things in the name of his club, but I failed. Despite some of the awful acts he commits I still felt great sympathy for him. Loyalty to the Club comes before everything. He's damaged and slightly broken and at times self preservation is the motivation for his actions. I was just hoping he'd come to his senses before it was too late.

Sully is a great character. Strong and independent, she does what she needs to do in order to fit in with the MC lifestyle. She's definitely got grit. She has her own secrets and motives for being with the Club which become apparent as the story progresses.

Whilst this is not the darkest book I have read it does contain more violence than Raiden's Choice but I personally wasn't put off by that at all. Fantastic twists and turns will keep you guessing as to what's coming next. A great read I definitely recommend.

I received an ARC for an honest review. Wow, just WOW, this book is not your typical MC biker romance in the style of today's bad boy meets tough girl redemption story. This is a raw, gritty, tear your guts out dark and realistic telling of MC life, similar to SoA. I hadn't read the first book in the series, so I floundered a bit in the very beginning, but JL does a great job bringing the reader up to speed without bogging you down with unnecessary facts or making you feel like you need a character index to understand the plot. Lincoln is hurting, from the loss of his club prez, Cal, but also from the believed betrayal by his brother, Luka. Sully, the Old Lady of Cal becomes Lincoln's respite from the horrors that are happening around him with changes within the club (Thad, Cal's father, claims the presidency and Sully as his own), as well as attacks between the other biker gangs in the area, the Ravens and the Drycos. However, we learn early that Sully has her own secrets that can and will become deadly, as well as the truths and lies that lead to Luka going to the Ravens while Lincoln was brutalized by his own club. You need to read this story, but be forewarned, it is not easy to read!

'Lincoln's Choice' by J.L. Leslie is Book Two in the "A Ravens MC Novel" series. This is the story of Lincoln and Sully. I have read the previous book 'Raiden's Choice' but feel you would enjoy this book better if you do too but with that said ...you can make it a standalone choice if you choose to do so.
This is a little Darker of a Romance then some books by Ms. Leslie I have read but overall still very enjoyable.
Lincoln has some past issue which have left him where he doesn't trust people. There are a lot of issue that this book deal with that makes it such a Darker Romance. It is also very suspenseful story. Sully is trying to find her way too after being the girlfriend of the former MC Club leader. But when sparks start to fly between Lincoln and Sully it adds another layer to their lives.
Overall exciting Read.

A well written dark and raw romance story. It is the second book in the series Ravens MC but it can be read as a standalone. I however would recommend reading the previous book first. I like that there are updates on the characters from the from book - Raidens choice.
This story has drama, action, violence, passion, romance and some twists that are unsuspected. I like the way it is written to get the aspects of a MC Club in the story. You are caught from the first chapter because of the way the author uses the words and style in which the story is written.
Despite of the cruel and bad things Lincoln does you can only find him likeable. He has a character that will make you want to help him get better. He is broken and he has to have one help him come away from his dark thoughts. Sully is a very strong woman, that tries very hard to fit into the MC club. She also has secrets. Can the overcome all of this without destroying each other? Or get hurt?
If you are into books, where a lot happens, then this is one for you.

This is the first book I read in the series and I liked Lincoln's and Sully's story. This book is full of heavy stuff it deals with deaths, drugs, human trafficking, blood galore, twists and a love story thrown in. I enjoyed the story line and love the characters. It took a minute to push through the beginning, but once the plot starting moving things went really well. Definitely would recommend reading the first book to get a better understanding of who the characters are and what they do. the amount of character detail lends itself well to future books too and more stories. Not so much of a typical MC book - this one reminds me more of mafia style reads?
really enjoyed the book and how Sully and Lincolns characters grew throughout the story. Would have liked a more full or more dramatic ending but its an HEA and so I enjoyed it anyway !

I'd recommend this book for sure - its a good book that will draw you in for a quick fulfilling read!

Gifted a copy and writing voluntary review

Lincoln's Choice is about some choices Lincoln has to make. Where should his loyalties lie when he has been lied to and betrayed by both his blood and his MC? Who does he trust to protect himself and those he loves? Lincoln's attraction to Sully the previous president of the Rykers old lady becomes his biggest Supporter but does she have her own agenda? The story has twists that will surprise the reader while also pulling you in to be shocked again.

I didn't read the first book in the series but didn't feel as if I was completely lost by not have read it. I do believe it would have clarified some details from the beginning that took me a bit to understand.

This is definitely not a read for a sensitive reader! It is a bit darker than the first book as it delves into a lot more of the darker deeds that biker gangs get themselves mixed up with. This story is filled with unexpected twists and turns that leave you gobsmacked! I loved this story and I loved all the wicked surprises the author has placed inside the pages. There were stages I felt physically ill as I pictured some of the nasty things that happen and at the same time I couldn't stop myself from reading. There is not a single dull moment in this book and absolutely worth the read if you love stories with angst, anticipation, extreme hotness, not to mention all the soul crushing revelations that are revealed. Well done to the author and thank you for sharing your crazy mind with us!

Lincoln's Choice is book two of the Raven MC Series and another amazing book. Lincoln and Sully are good for each other and bad for each other at the same time but is their love strong enough to get them an HEA? Lincoln's Choice has everything a great MC Club book needs drama, danger, criminals, action, bikers, suspense, romance and twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages. This is definitely one of my top 5 MC books right along with Raiden's Choice. This author writes great stories that pack a punch and leaves the reader wanting more. I can't wait to read more books by this author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

It would seem that Lincoln and Sully are in a no win situation. They are both doing things they hate. Living a life not meant for them.

Thad is the guy you love to hate. He is despicable and cruel. Everything the club doesn't need.

There is a great balance of power and angst in their story.
