I only read the first chapter to know what happened after the end of Wrong Side of Heaven.
And, I don't think my opinion will change, since I didn't like how the situation unfolded here.
So, I'll pass.

This was far from the ending that I was anticipating, but it was the kind of ending that this story needed...

Only moments after devouring Wrong Side of Heaven, book one in the Broken Wings Duet, I just knew that The Edge of Heaven was going to destroy me when I finally managed to get my hands on a copy. Let me just say that is exactly what happened and I am still left processing my feelings hours after finishing. My heart was ripped right out of my chest and torn to shreds by Gia Riley's emotionally captivating words. I am still emotionally drained by the intense journey this story took me on and I am not ready nor willing to let these characters go. Although I know the story has come to an end there is still a part of me that wants more of these characters!

The Edge of Heaven will consume your soul and leave you crumpled up in the corner with that gut-wrenching feeling of pain in the pit of your stomach. This story will take readers on a rollercoaster of twists and turns AND I can't forget to mention the abundance of tears and heartache you will experience. This is the kind of story that will test your limits readers, but TRUST me when I say that this WILL be one of the best books you will ever read!

Gia Riley gave the phrase, “Started With A Bang” a new meaning.

From the beginning, I sat at the end of my seat, waiting to see which shoe will fall off next.

Both Book 1 - “Wrong Side Of Heaven” and Book 2 - “The Edge of Heaven” left me emotionally drained.

I struggle emotionally to the very end. I surprised myself with the person I fell in love with. So many turns and twist that I didn’t see coming.

Loving someone is never easy. Sometimes, the right thing is not what our heart will follow. At the end you have to follow the path that is best for you.

I enjoyed both books, I hope you give them a chance.

The Edge of Heaven by Author Gia Riley is book two in the Broken Wings Duet. It is a coming-of-age romance, mixed with a form of a hybrid love triangle, and a splash of the forbidden.

“...sometimes, we had to get knocked down lower than we’d ever been in order to appreciate the possibility of more. I had another chance to pick and choose which piece of myself to bring along with me, and then I’d leave the rest behind. It wouldn’t be easy, but this time, I wanted to rise higher than ever before.”

When I finished the first book in this series, I felt like I had literally hit a wall. I knew it was coming, but I went running, eyes open, straight into it.

“The future can’t wash away the past, no matter how hard you try to scrub away the memories. I am who I am. I’m Winnie Dawes, trailer trash.”

In The Edge of Heaven, Author Gia Riley gives us a novel that slays our hearts, entices our insatiable need for the untouchable, and moves us in ways that only her words can. We are reintroduced to Winnie, Trey, and Jasper. Their affections are still being weighed in the balance, leaving us in constant wonder of which way they will tip.

“You deserve to be more than a secret.”

I was scared. I was so unsure of the story direction and expected to feel solid footing much sooner than I did; this was not a negative to the story, but definitely drove the level of anticipation to its highest peak. I could not control my emotional outbursts throughout this novel. I chose a side...finally. And I felt like a spoiled child, pitching fits of tears and screams, consumed by character actions and outcomes.

“...for the first time in her life, she’s alive. She jumped from the edge of heaven and into forever.”

I was not at all expecting the end that Author Gia Riley gave us. The hope and promise of a future that I sensed at the end of this novel was one that came by way of character maturity and acceptance of the inevitable. I would still love to get more of this storyline in the future, as I feel like there will be so much more to these characters’ lives than where we ended, and I’ve had such a difficult time letting them go.

“...choose to believe.”

Gia Riley has followed up “Wrong Side Of Heaven” book 1 with book 2 “The Edge of Heaven” and I have to say I am left completely and emotionally drained. I am not sure what to think. I started feeling one way and ended up feeling another way. Ms. Riley has a way of drawing you into the characters’, of having you feeling exactly how they feel, of meshing you into the characters’ lives in such a way that you never want the story to end yet you root for one outcome, when another takes place. This story is one that is not , in my opinion, a HEA but more of a HFN ending. I struggle emotionally with how the book ended. I am ok with who Winnie ends up with but I guess I would have liked more of an ending that what occurred. Winnie’s journey is emotional, angst ridden and filled with pain. The reader is taken on an emotional rollercoaster ride- I was not at all expecting the end that Ms. Riley gave us. I will say the author took the reader on such a journey, on Winnie’s journey and what a journey it was. I do hope the author will give us a novella with Winnie down the road for I do not feel her story is done yet. When reading this phenomenal story, you will understand what I mean. Ms. Riley has such a way with words and with a storyline that she immediately draws the readers in. I hated when the story ended for she drew me into Winnie, Trey and Jasper’s story. This was one of my favorite duets I have read of late. I do hope we get to see more of Winnie down the road.

I had so many expectations of what I thought would happen and what I wanted to happen in this second book, after the ending of book one I was quite anxious.

The one character I always routed for was Winnie, she needs someone on her side fighting for her, protecting her and above all loving her unconditionally. I know who I want that to be and I’m sure you’ll have your own favourite. This is a very unconventional love story but for me the real story was Winnie realising her worth.

At times this story totally devastated me, the intensity of the story builds through the authors words. It’s not a feel good book but at the end I felt content with Winnie’s choices. Did I get the ending I wanted I’m really not sure, get the book and see what you think.

Gia Riley took everything you thought you knew, thought would happen, and expected from this story and put it in a box and ran it over with a semi. Hopes and dreams- gone. Beliefs and expectations- decimated. But what she gives you in return is far more beautiful than everything you thought you wanted. Trust me. You say you wanted it but the actual resolution is far more fulfilling on a personal level than anything else could have been.

Don't get me wrong, I totally have a favorite. I had a perfect fantasy picked out. I plotted the entire book before I even picked it up. I knew exactly what I wanted. But what I want isn't what happened and I actual have a bigger smile and a more profound respect for all parties. Does that mean I won't cry on my pillow- um no. I totally will but this story isn't an end. It's a beginning.

After the deeply poignant intensity of Wrong Side of Heaven, I was expecting something completely earth-shattering and fantastically therapeutic. While this book was quite an addictive read and kept me completely engrossed from the first page, it didn’t quite live up to the enormity of its predecessor. I was shocked by how completely different the book from what I expected.

The Edge of Heaven is the second book in Gia Riley’s Broken Wings duet. This book CAN NOT be read as a standalone; it literally picks up right in the middle of the story, and you need the first part of Winnie’s story to make sense of the second. The Edge of Heaven is written in triple first-person perspective, narrated by Winnie, Jasper, and Trey.

As I said, I was wholly engrossed in the final episode of Winnie’s story from the beginning; from waiting to see what the shot Jasper heard in the final second of Wrong Side of Heaven, to figuring out what the future held for Winnie and her suitors, I was all in. The plot moved quite quickly, through tons of situations from horrifying to awkward to devastating and everything in between. I appreciated that Ms. Riley gave Winnie a shot at a normal life, even if Winnie wouldn’t accept that she deserved it.

Winnie is easily one of the most heartbreaking characters I’ve read in some time. Perhaps it’s because we’re with only ambiguous clues as to what all has been done to her without her permission or because the only person she’s ever been able to count on continually left her in a dreadful situation for his own selfish reasons, most likely was because she didn’t believe she was worth more than any of that. Whatever the reason, even when she was highly frustrating my heart and soul ached for the little girl who had been broken and decimated by life.

I honestly have no idea how I feel about her relationships with Jasper and Trey. I went back and forth through both books and am still trying to figure out who she needed more, who deserved her love. They were both infuriating and wonderful in equal measure. In the end, I think the way Ms. Riley ended this story was exactly what Winnie needed, even if it wasn’t necessarily what I wanted or expected. The fact she gave her character the ending perfect for her garners my love and respect for her writing; it’s a line not all authors will toe.

I always have – and always will – need the healing arc of the character to be a big part of the story, and it was lacking for me. I know I’m not the norm for this, and most people just want the intrigue and romance, but my biggest wish for The Edge of Heaven would be for her journey to learning to be enough for herself and live would have been more than a couple epilogue-style chapters at the end. That fight for mental health is important, and I would have loved to have seen it be the focal point of this book.

The Broken Wings duet is my first experience with Gia Riley’s writing, and let me tell you; I’m a fan. Her writing style, while it did take a little getting used to as the timeline is more fluid than a lot of other romance authors’, was captivating and clever. She was able to wring emotions out of me like a rag and kept my heart pumping with the action and intrigue she wove into this story. I will definitely be checking out her backlist and watching for her future releases.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

The Edge of Heaven is the second book in the Broken Wings Duet. You must read Wrong Side of Heaven before reading this one or you are going to be so lost it's not even funny.

When I said I would kill for her, I meant it. When I said I would die for her, I meant that too. But protection comes with a price and so does my life. I can't hold her. I can't speak to her. I can't even see her. The most important piece of my life is gone. I had everything. I had Winnie. And just like that, my unconditional love vanished. Picking up the pieces is impossible. There's no easy way to fall out of love. But, that is exactly what I have to do.

I you have read Wrong Side of Heaven you know the biggest part of the story of Winnie, Jasper and Trey. Now you know there has to be a choice on Winnie's part though if you have read the first book and through most of this book you knew which way Winnie was going. Now I in ways was all for that choice. I mean who doesn't want the character to ride off into the sunset with the man she loves. However since I finished this book I didn't dive right into writing this review I thought about this book hard and I have to say I am happier with the ending of this book than I would have been with the riding off in the sunset ending. This is not a pretty book and Winnie's life just makes you want to go grab her up and bring her home with you and give her a better life. There are parts where my heart absolutely shatter, I got so mad I about threw my kindle and of course I had those moments where I bounced back and forth between what I wanted to happen. I don't want to say much about his book as I am terrified I will give something away. However I will say that Gia Riley has given us the story of a girl who should be so broken by the cards that she was dealt, through not fault of her own, and should have given up so many times I can not even count them. However if that said I think we ended up with a story about life and how the worst can bring out the best and that you just have to hang on and be willing to see the beauty of some of the things that are around you and grab onto them and hold on for dear life. I hope ya'll give this duet a chance. It is one that I loved and I am sure that I will read it again and again as the years go by.

If I thought the first book in this duet was intense then I don't know what word to use to describe The Edge of Heaven. Heavy, emotional, freeing- I'll start with those. I'm so glad this picked up right where the first book left off because I just had to know what happened- and to whom. I think my heart started pounding as soon as I cracked the cover.

I really liked the different view points of each character this was told in. Everyone got their side of the story told- Jasper, Winner and Trey. All of their lives were so intertwined that anything else wouldn't have made this book what it was. And I was rooting for all of them but most of all Winnie.

With every page I read, the lump in my throat got thicker and thicker. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. I knew something big, life changing was coming. I had no idea what and I wasn't quite prepared for the turn things took.

Gia Riley knocked this duet out of the (trailer) park. There were times I was physically rubbing my chest because the emotions were just too strong. And Winnie- I'm going to take a moment for her because even with her confused mind and tender heart she had a backbone of steel. The things she stared down, battled and won had me sighing with joy. I love the way this ended but didn't really and still left me feeling content with the way things played out.

I'd like to apologize for this late posting as my family and I were and still are going through some rough patch. The last couple of weeks were tough, and I just want to ask for your understanding. Thank you.

***
You must read the first book, THE WRONG SIDE OF HEAVEN before proceeding.
***

This is the continuation of Winnie, Trey and Jasper's story.

To tell ya'll the truth, I was so worried about what the outcome of this story would be. What happens now to Winnie?Would she end-up with Trey? Would she end-up with Jasper? Would she end-up with someone else? Would she get better? There were a lot of questions that went through my mind.

I wasn't a huge fan of Winnie's in the first book, and I'm still not a fan of hers in this one.... It was so obvious from the very beginning that she needed help to sort out her messed-up childhood and even through-out her teenage life. A plain counselor wouldn't do. I wasn't able to relate to her but I can't blame her entirely for being who she is... she just needed someone not to give up on her, to guide her and make her see her full potential as a person...

aaand, there are a lot I wanted to say about Trey and Jasper as well but I'm afraid I would giveaway too much...

If you're a fan of angsty reads, this is the book to pick-up next.

I was NOT expecting this conclusion. Story picks up from the tragedy in Book 1 that left me gasping. That is resolved pretty quickly and then Book 2 just continues with Winnie’s journey.

You see so much happen to her some good some bad. It’s a love story and then again it isn’t. They are moments when I wanted to shake all characters in the book. This is one hard review to write because I don’t want to spoil and give away what happens. All I know is that I wasn’t expecting that ending and that there is still more to this story.

This book deals with serious issues and my heart went out to these characters. This is one to be read while drinking a bottle of wine because a glass is not sufficient for all the feels related to this book.

Gia Riley came into my life by chance, but choice will keep her as one of my favorite authors.

The Edge of Heaven was a beautiful, heartwrenching conclusion to the Broken Wings Duet. After reading Wrong Side of Heaven, I thought I had the storyline all worked out in my mind and my heart as to where I wanted to see Winnie in terms of Jasper and Trey. Gia took me on a journey that had me changing my feelings and thoughts throughout. At times I was like "No Winnie, no!!" and I would stop and think to myself that she is just a girl, a 17 year old girl who was dealt a terrible hand in life.

By the end of The Edge of Heaven, it wasn't about Jasper or Trey to me anymore but instead I was rooting for Winnie, the newly turned 18 year old girl whole found her way into my heart.

The Edge of Heaven is a continuation of Winnie's story. She struggled to find her self worth, and make more for herself. Unfortunately she was in the wrong place, at the wrong time. Her life changed instantly. She fought hard for the one she loved. Jasper was her true friend. He cared for her when everyone else didn't. Ultimately, Winnie needed to lose herself in order to find herself. This book takes you through a crazy rollercoaster of emotions. Sometimes you need to lose everything, and everyone to reinvent, and truly love yourself. I loved this book from start to finish!

The Edge of Heaven is book two in the Broken Wings Duet. It can not be read as a standalone, you must read Wrong Side of Heaven first. After reading the first one I really wasn't sure what to expect. In the beginning, my heart was in my throat, I wasn't sure if someone was going to die. This one is an emotionally read. I was on edge reading most of it and I couldn't read fast enough. The ending was surprising for me. I actually read the ending a couple of times to process it and I'm still not fully sure it has all sank it yet.

Heartfelt.
Gut-wrenching.
Emotionally draining.
Gia Riley picked up right where Wrong Side of Heaven left off and brought me to my knees once again. The Edge of Heaven has so many deep twists and turns.
The ending was not what I expected, but I'm not disappointed with the book in the slightest. Once again, Gia Riley has brought me an amazing book with amazing characters.

didn't care for as much as the first

where in the first I was intrigued the second one became a drag to me. And I am Sorry this is my personal opinion because with this I ended up hating the main character and the end felt like it didn't conclude as in the ending wasn't enough, I understand where the character needed that conclusion but maybe an extended epilogue would mend the prolonging of this story that could have ended in one book.

The duet is now complete, and I am still reeling. The Edge of Heaven by Gia Riley is the conclusion to her Broken Wings duet. This was such an emotional and heartbreaking journey. The characters will consume you and the story will captivate you from the beginning to end.

What an unconventional but captivating story. How would it all end? The first book left us hanging. Now we see how the story continues. Winnie in the middle of her own personal tragedy with two men by her side. This is still very much Winnie’s story. Her journey. There were so many twists and turns. I want to talk about them all, but this is a story that needs to be experienced and let me tell you, it is worth it.

I loved how much Winnie grew. She was truly amazing, she just had to find herself. The Edge of Heaven was so heartbreaking and that ending was so unexpected. But the story was captivating, and I could not turn the pages quick enough.

Oh my gosh ALL the feelings! I really wasn’t sure how this was gonna turn out. I’m happy it did the way it did, even if it really hurt. I’m so emotional right now I can’t right a proper review but STUNNING story. I found myself relating to Winnie in a lot of ways, so it made it that much more impactful. Amazing writing.

Gia Riley follows the Wrong Side of Heaven with an equally dark and emotional story in the Edge of Heaven. We pick up where the Wrong side of heaven left us and it is a emotional ride.

Trey’s love and devotion to Winnie comes with a price and boy does he pay it to keep her safe. You also see the obsession Trey is for Winnie. She equate someone who has been there for her throughout her life to love that is beyond what you would feel for a family member or friend. Winnie goes to unbelievable lengths to be with Trey and how nothing in her mind will stop her. She hurts people along the way and in some ways becomes very selfish. How she treats Jasper in this book will really get to you. That boy loves her with everything he is and does everything to help her. He sees how her feelings for Trey are a negative for her and how it will lead to a dark path and tries to stop it but in the end is harmed and hurt both physically and emotionally.

Trey is the one I can’t quite figure out. He loves and protects Winnie and wants a better life and yet he is stuck where he is. What I love the most about Trey is he is determined to keep Winnie from going down the same path he did. He does pay a price for his love and protection in many many ways especially at the end.

Winnie is not a bad person but has had it hard. She is smart but stubborn. She doesn’t trust easily and when she does it is fickle at times. Jasper was the first after Trey to come into her heart and she called him a friend. But when she goes to the home, things change. Dray comes into the picture and Jasper is not as important. No matter how much Jasper sacrifices for her, he is really set aside by Winnie. This is where I get upset with her for Jasper is a great, kind, caring guy who she at times uses. She tosses him aside at one point instead of believing him because he doesn’t understand her situation like one she just met and is now a friend. And yet when she needs to feel safe it is Jasper she asks. Poor kid goes through the seesaw of emotions with Winnie.

What is heartbreaking is how Winnie almost ruins her whole life for her obsession. She does things she normally wouldn’t because she is pushed over the edge and now just wants Trey. Jasper sees that this will hurt her forever and does all he can to stop it even causing the spiral of Trey (not his intention for all he wanted to do was protect Winnie). Here is where Winnie’s life hits a crossroads and uphill battle. In the end, Winnie fights but the cost to get where she is at the end is a death of her old life and old Winnie and embracing the idea of who she is and what she deserves and letting Jasper and Cindy in. Learning to trust and give chances but also forgiveness and to let go of Trey even if she doesn’t want to. Trey wasn’t a bad guy just in a bad place and not always good for Winnie.

The story is heartbreaking, heartwarming and sends you on an emotional turmoil. You cry and smile and get hope but also despair. There are triggers in the book so if you have any this may not be for you. The writing sucks you into the vortex that is Winnie’s life and has you rooting for her and Jasper. I say Jasper because you can’t help but love him and want him with Winnie. With Winnie you love her but also get upset with her because of how she treats Jasper and at times everyone. But you do understand what she is going through and see that she is spiralling and obsessed with Trey. she gets a one track mind and it leads her to almost certain destruction. A very powerful story that resonates with you and knocks you off your feet. The ending is just wonderful

Wow!! My heart had been through the wringer and back in the handful of days I have read this diet. And I wouldn’t change the journey for anything!!!! I just, I have no words!! This crazy journey and this amazing journey!! Oh my goodness!!

Winnie, that poor sweet girl! She’s still in the ride of her life. One that has so many twists and turns that I wasn’t sure I could keep up! But she’s not alone, she has the help of Jasper and the mysterious man in leather! And a new group of people with a friend in an unexpected place. This book will have you flipping pages so fast you won’t be able to do anything but sit and read. I almost didn’t go to bed last night because I was addicted and needed to know what was going to happen.

There are twists and turns, there are tears and heartbreak. But there is a strong girl who no matter what life throws at her who still keeps on trucking. And that? That is the most important part of this book at all. Winnie is strong, she is amazing, and she is one heck of a kick butt woman and character!!

I started reading this book as soon as I had finished the first book! I was looking forward to seeing what was going to happen next for the characters! I'm really happy that I waited for this book to release before I read the first book too! I also wasn't really sure what could happen in this book because again the synopsis is vague and doesn't give anything away! After reading, I can say that this book did go in a different direction to what I was expecting, but I did like the direction that the author took it in because she helped the main female character a lot! The plot also developed at a nice pace and it kept me wanting to read on and find out what was going to happen next! There were again a few tense scenes, which added bit of action and suspense to the plot! The love triangle was also back in this book and it developed a lot! Things happened that changed the love triangle and it did leave me kinda disappointed lol! The characters were again amazing and made this book even better! Winnie was the main female character, and in this book I felt like she had grown a lot, but was still only seventeen! Winnie was also more secure in this book and wasn't living in a trailer park or surrounded by bad people! This made me really happy for her because she deserved to be brought up in a safe place! Winnie didn't see it that way though, which did make me sad! She was going through a lot though! Jasper was again the main male character and love interest of Winnie! I still loved Jasper in this book and I was still on his team when it came to the love triangle lol! Jasper was there for Winnie as much as he could be and I believe that he didn't do what Winnie thought he did! Trey was another main male character and love interest of Winnie! I was happy that Trey was in this book more than he was the first book! It meant that I was able to connect with him more and get in his head more! There was also something about Trey that I didn't quite trust, but I could see that he cared about Winnie! This book was written from Winnie, Jasper and Trey's point of views, which made me really happy because the first book was mainly written from Winnie and Jasper's point of views! The three different point of views allowed me to connect and understand all the characters more and they allowed for more things to happen in the plot too, especially as the all characters spent some time apart! I'm also kinda sad that this duet is now finished! I have had mixed feelings about it lol, but it was very well-written and had a few surprises in it! The ending of this book was also left at the perfect place, even though Winnie didn't end up with who I wanted her to lol! I can't wait to check out this author's other books! The cover for this book is also seriously hot! It could technically have either Jasper or Trey on it, but I would say that it's probably Trey! It suits the book and the cover for the first book too!

This is the follow up book and carries on after Wrong Side of Heaven (book 1) that ended in a cliffhanger. If you haven’t read book one, I strongly recommend that you read it first.

Caught between Trey and Jasper, Winnie’s heart is confused. For someone so young, she has gone through so much pain and isolation. Making her presence inconspicuous from her peers to avoid emotional connection, everything she does is calculated, but at the same time is hasty and careless when it comes to Trey. You sometimes forget that she is only seventeen so she’s bound to make mistakes because of her emotional baggage and deep seated insecurities. “Because, sometimes, we had to get knocked down lower than we’d ever been in order to appreciate the possibility of more. I had another chance to pick and choose which piece of myself to bring along with me, and then I’d leave the rest behind.”

Who will she choose in the end? Will it be Trey, a much older guy who was also her late dad’s best friend, who has been there to protect her since day one but keeps his distance because of his dubious connections with the underworld? Or will she choose Jasper, the guy she met these last few months but gradually gained her trust, became her best friend and saved her from spiralling down? Both men love her deeply, unconditionally. Then you have Alex/Dray the guy she connects with at the Sunshine Place for troubled teens.

This is a very well written follow up book of a duet with a tight and fast paced plot. It’s fascinating to watch Winnie’s growth:  from her psychological issues, the effect of the abuse she experienced from Tess, the trauma she underwent at the ending of book 1 and finally realised that the one person she least expected to stand by her is the one that gives her a chance for a brighter future and healing. “If I’ve learned anything on this crazy journey called life, it’s that heaven isn’t a destination. It’s a feeling of contentment that sets your soul free”. This book made me sad because of what Winnie went through, mad because of how she coped with pain and glad she has strength of character to deal with the tragic circumstances in her young life. This book has one of the best endings for a love triangle in my opinion. Highly recommended!

The Broken Wings Duet was my first reading experience with author Gia Riley. I’m choosy when it comes to reading angst, so I was taking a leap of faith when I agreed to tackle the Wrong Side of Heaven, followed by The Edge of Heaven.

The books center on Winnie Dawes, a seventeen-year-old girl, who battles every day to survive. She fights for what few things belong to her and she has no one she can trust. A mysterious yet protective stranger moves into the trailer across from Winnie’s at just the same time she makes her first real friend, Jasper.

Although they recognize each other from school, Winnie’s friendship with Jasper is established when they end up working at the same place. He is kind, compassionate, and loyal. He offers Winnie nourishment, comfort, and safety whenever she needs it. But it’s the secretive neighbor across the way who captures her heart. What follows is a gripping and emotional love triangle between the three that put me on the edge of my seat.

I read the Wrong Side of Heaven last month, while flying home after a book signing, and loved it. Then real life interfered with my ability to sit down and compose my review. I felt awful for being late with it, but then within a few chapters of beginning The Edge of Heaven last week, it became clear that this was meant to be.

The Wrong Side of Heaven was an incredible read, ensuring that I would move on to the second book. The Edge of Heaven picked up right where the first book left off, and just when I thought the story couldn’t get any better, it exploded on me. By the time I devoured the opening chapters of the second book, I knew I was dealing with a 5-star series.

The Broken Wings Duet is not for the faint of heart. All of the characters are struggling with personal demons, some of which are more evil than others. Despite the tragedy, there is an unmistakable surge of hope that buzzes beneath the surface. This hint of anticipation keeps both the reader and the characters moving forward, in search of the elusive light at the end of the tunnel.

If you’re interested in learning what happens when the paths of these fascinating characters converge, I eagerly recommend this pair of books. This duet is for those looking for something mature, edgy, and suspenseful in their next read.

Anxious doesn't even cover the way I was waiting for this book. I mean, I know that a book written by this lady is freaking amazing and heartfelt and this one wouldn't be an exception. The reason that made me feel like this was because this book was the conclusion for Wrong Side of Heaven and Dayum I had so many questions.
Gia Riley is amazing and her books shows just that. Her writing is simple and intense, heartfelt and beautiful with so much feelings behind each chapter.
The Edge of Heaven is her latest release and it's the second book from the Broken Wings Duet. Like I said in the beginning, this book is not a standalone therefor you need to read Wrong Side of Heaven first.
This book continues to explore Winnie's story.
And what a story this was. Her struggles, her believes, her fights. This girl is a fighter and a survivor.
Let me just say that I'm a mess. I'm broken. My heart hurts as well as my head. This book was my undoing.
The plot is superb, very well written, super engaging and intense. Each chapter was more intense then the last. Each word got stuck in my heart and I felt I couldn't breathe, it felt like I was riding the most bumpy rollercoaster ride of my life.
There were parts of the story that I was scared to keep reading, I didn't wanted to see. Odd right? But when you read this book you'll see why.
I don't know what more I can say... I'm broken beyond repair. I didn't wanted this book to end. I wanted to keep following these characters, I wanted to get into the book and hold them.
Gia you nailed it. This duet is freaking amazing and I wanted to keep reading non stop. I can't let them go. You broken me but I loved every single minute of it. Thank you.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
