I read this as an ARC read.
This is the second book in "A Miami Lust" Series. It was as attention grabbing as the first.
Mateo is a jaded man who doesn't think he will ever find love. He's surrounded by women at the club he co owns with his brothers. They just don't do anything for him. He meets the woman, who was suppose to interview for the semdressed job earlier in the day, later in the evening and he is blown away by her. The electricity between them is instant.
Cassee Moore. She is a recent college graduate. She is aspiring fashion designer. She meets Mateo and is flustered, shy, and yet she is stubborn and never backs down from a challenge.
I don't want to give too much away.
This book is as well written as the first and keeps you engaged.

Mateo's story is another delightful and steamy hit from CM Lally. Mateo is such an honest to goodness all around nice guy and Cassee is an endearing and innocent southern girl. Together they make such a cute couple. I loved the way they could laugh and be themselves around each other. C.M. Lally's books are always an adventure and I can't wait to read about Dante, the next Solis brother!

This is such a fun story between the strip club owner and a fashion designer of 'unmentionables'; super sexy & steamy!!! I highly recommend this book!!

Books are an important part of my life, it's my escape. I have authors that I absolutely consume any and all stories they write and CM Lally is definitely one. She has brought another fabulous book to us in Stroke (A Miami Lust Novella, Book 2)
This book was for me a much more enjoyable read than Book 1 because it was such a tender love story. This book caught my attention in the first chapter and held me in suspense through the Epilogue. Whew, I was beginning to wonder about that boy!
Cassee Moore is in Miami to deal with her grandparents will/belongings and their retirement condo after their untimely death and decides she needs to seek employment since she has no idea how long the process will take. So she is set to interview at The Glass Slipper for a seamstress job.
Mateo Solis is co-owner of The Glass Slipper with his 2 brothers and one of his duties as a manager is to oversee the costume repairs for the dancers. The club has found itself with a seamstress to repair the dancers costumes and his prospective interview seems to be missing the person he made the appointment with.
The chemistry between Cassee and Mateo is sizzling hot on both sides and they quickly find themselves involved in an affair that is nothing short of insta love until she asks him to do something he simply can't bring himself to do and that is to bring her into the dark filthy life that revolves around The Glass Slipper, or so he feels because of the illicit actions of his father.
Mateo would rather walk away from the woman of his dreams than to drag her into such a dirty world. Will he be able to let her go and can he live without her in his life?

Stroke, the second book in the Miami lust series, all about the strip club owning brothers who thought love was a myth considering their not so humble upbringings, one by one though with their father figure behind bars these Strip Club Owning bros are getting hit by cupids arrow when they least expect it.
This sweet heat novella is about brother Mateo, hardened by the life of being around naked women all day; he isn't into the stripper scene. When a woman descends the steps of the club her beauty knocks him off kilter, mistaking her for a dancer- she is there for the job of the seamstress!
Right away he knows this charmed southern women Cassee is more than meets the eye, the feels he has for her are a lot to handle- especially right away! She is in Miami to settle her grandparent's estate before deciding her next move, Mateo is breaking the sound barrier with the moves he is making with her- is it all too much?
Swoon-worthy, sweetness throughout, saddled with insecurities and emotional baggage this drama filled read was a page turner!

Well Miss Lally has definitely done it again!
Cassee is a shy, innocent lady looking for her first real job, so applies to be the prop/outfit designer and repairer at The Glass Stripper! She is late for her interview and Mateo thinks she is interviewing for a dancers job! How embarrassing for both of them, or so you would think!
Mat takes Cassee home with the boxes of items that need to be repaired, and they realise that they like each other ALOT! Things go great between them and they spend so much time together, until Cassee asks for something that Mateo just cannot give her and he storms out of her apartment. Both are stubborn and refuse to contact the other, they rarely speak when they see each at the club unless they have to!
Mateo goes to see his father and from that moment things change inside of him, he has to go and see Cassee, and try to win her back, he surprises Cassee by turning up in the last place she expects to see him, but can she forgive him and start over?

I didn't mean to finish the book in one night, since I started it at 10:30, but I wasn't able to put it down. I really enjoyed the characters and how well the fit each other. My only issue is that I didn't want the story to end and I love/hate that feeling.
Mateo wants to find love. He has never shied away from that, but he doesn't want someone from work. He wants someone that will love him and challenge him.
Cassee needs a job while she clears out her grandparents' condo. She is dealing with their loss and trying to figure out the plans for her future. She takes a temporary job at Mateo's club while she figures everything out. Sparks fly when they meet and an instant connect is made.
When doubts arise and fear pulls them apart, will they be able to get back together or will the fear keep them apart.
I really loved this story and I hope that you give it a chance. This is the second story in the series, but you don't need to read the first to enjoy this one. I can't wait for the next book.

Ms. Lally delivered on her second installment of the Solis Brothers. Mat is the middle brother and he struggles with falling in love because of what he witnessed between his parents as a child. From the first two books I think perhaps he is the most introspective of the brothers. It is a really struggle for him wanting a love like his mother described but feeling like he is not a good man because he has his father's DNA. Cassee is just a breath of fresh air. She is in Miami due to the loss of loved ones. While she is now alone she is embracing her future and what lies ahead. When she meets Mat and falls for him that means trying to figure out what she means to him and where she fits. Both of these characters are well written. You can feel Mat's struggle and can't help feel for him. With Cassee the reader can just feel the possibilities for these two if only they can get it right.
I am enjoying this series and can't wait to see what Dante has in store for him. I think his fall will perhaps be the hardest.

Review: This is a sweet story between Mateo and Cassee. It’s a world-win romance between the two. Cassee is a recent fashion grad student. Mateo hires her as a seamstress for his night club to repair costumes. They quickly develop a strong relationship and fall in love. Mateo loves Cassee’s innocence, but when she asks him to take her to his private room at the club, Mateo freaks out and leaves Cassee because he’s afraid of tainting her pure heart. In the meantime, Cassee wins a major fashion contest and goes to NY to have one of her designs in the Fashion Show.

Well I got all wrapped up in this lovely story. Mateo is really a nice guy, one of those men you meet once in a life time. He works with his brothers at their own club but this doesn’t forbid him to find real love. At the club he will meet this naïve girl who has applied for a job as a seamstress. It is definitely a mutual love at first sight but Mateo keeps having doubts because he thinks she is too good for him. So how will things go? I apologize for not giving away further hints because this book is absolutely sweet and amazing. As I said before it is like a beautiful gift all wrapped up and the surprise is even more appealing.

I have to say I love reading a book where the man wants to find love, that's what we get in this book. Mateo wants to find the person he is meant to love, even if he doesn't think it will happen for him....until he meets Cassee. She is beautiful and shy and the sparks fly between them. I love that she is the perfect mix of good girl with some bad girl mixed in. This book was a quick read with likable characters, a book that had you both laughing and crying. A book that had me rooting for them until the end. Job well done.

Attraction at first sight!
Mateo and Cassee's attraction to each other is immediate. Mateo calls himself jaded but he hasn't quite given up on finding the love of a 'genuine' woman. In comes Cassee with her sexy southern drawl and while she embarrasses easily, she rises to challenges.
This is a fun sexy quick read. The story flows right along to a happy ending for all. Can't wait to read about the Solis brother. Thank you Ms. Lally for another great book to enjoy.

Fell in love with Mateo from the first chapter he's so passionate faithful made me laugh with his weird antics and things he said that while I was reading people thought I lost my mind cause I was laughing and going awe and ohh no he didn't the fact that I live in the country now makes cassee's accent more adorable since I listen to it a lot.. Awesome job cyndi can't wait for the final brother Dante solis to fall or for his man part to die trying...

Love these brothers!
This is book 2 in the series and it was just as good as the first. Mateo is book boyfriend material and even if Cassie is a little insecure, she's also fun and driven. It was interesting that this book took place in the same time line as the first one. It kept my mind working, I liked that. I voluntarily read this book, and left an honest review.

I volunteered to read an ARC in order to provide an honest review. Mateo ( I love that name, btw) really is the sweetheart of the Solis brothers. Casee was just the type of woman he was looking for but being a bone-headed man, he found a way to screw it up. Fortunately cooler heads and hearts prevailed.

This is my first book by CM Lally and I am hooked!! Mateo and Cassee's story is extremely hot and the steamy love scenes, wow!! This novella gives you everything you could need from a story and then some. I am looking forward to the next story!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

In the second installment of the tales of the Solis brothers, the reader learns more about Mateo. Wanting to fall in love, but with the kind of woman who reminds him of his mom, Mateo is starting to think it will never happen. In walks the southern belle Cassee and his soulmate has been found. But will his family baggage keep him from his happily ever after, will his life as a strip club owner tarnish Cassee's good girl qualities? This was an awesome read, with wonderful down to earth characters that you immediately fall in love with. The emotions that Mateo brings to the story make you want to hug him through the pages. This quick read should not be missed. I highly recommend this book.

This quick read is the second novella in the Miami Lust series featuring the middle Solis brother. I absolutely loved this book! Beautifully written with well developed characters and a great story line. Ms. Lally has a way with words that is fresh and all her own. The romance between the two main characters - Mateo and Cassee - was sweet and sexy. I devoured this book and can't wait for the next novella in the series.
