Todd Rigney is most unwell indeed. But I already knew that. And he reminded me in the introduction. Sick, mean, disgusting, inventive, and often hilarious stories for those who want to shove their moral compass down the garbage disposal.

Absurd and hilarious short story collection
It's not Todd Rigney's best work but they are still pretty good stories. None of them are longer than 3 or 4 pages. The majority of them are drenched in mutilated penises, fecal matter, blood, guts, and semen. Only one story about a son whose mother books up with a poltergeist excludes the gore and pornography element. I enjoyed the stories even though some of them entered the world of outright absurdity. Looking to read more from this author after reading this short story collection, Found, and MRTH.

December 27, 2023Algunos tenían propuestas bastante interesantes y otros me pareció que dependían mucho de la asquerosidad y no desarrollaban una mitología propia que valiera la pena. Me alegro de haberlo leído, me inspiró esto de las ficciones flash, de lo grotesco bite-sized.
