A brother, the police detective, and his sister, the tv detective work together to solve murders. She is mostly the brains and he is the badge to get them access to the suspects. No hauling people in for questioning, just questioning where they find the person ‘til one clue gives it away at the end. The last story is about a 75 year old widow of a detective and her police detective daughter solving the death of an old family friend. They are good clean reads that you can introduce your teenagers to for female role models and the last one shows that older people can still have lives with purpose.
I was really looking forward to reading some short stories, those times when you just want a good read and not have to allot major hours. Quite quickly it seemed like the author had a fixed outline for mysteries, rather like pick from column 1, column 2, column 3. I could anticipate what the next sequence of events was going to be, the characters just stood looking at each other and just chattered. So disappointed 😞.

I can’t wait to read more by Meredith Potts.
I enjoyed reading all the books in the series. The writing was easy to read and down to earth. And the mysteries could have happened anywhere. I also appreciated the fact that the author concentrated on the people not on using violence to make a point.
