From the million seller author comes a gripping psychological thriller.
A successful businesswoman, Tamara enjoys her champagne lifestyle to the full. At least, that is the front she displays to the world. As well as being lonely, she's running out of money. A promising new member of staff brings the injection of fresh blood needed to win the contract that will turn things around.
Working for Tamara is a perfect ruse for Esther. But, along with fake references and qualifications, she also has a plan for revenge. Sensing Tamara's vulnerability, Esther uses their acquaintance as a way of getting close to someone who hurt her in the past.
Tamara is keeping things secret. Esther has a dark side she is trying to hide. For both of them, lying is a habit. But when mistakes begin to catch up with Esther, and people start dying, Tamara realises she's chosen the wrong person to trust as a friend.

OK, it’s happened to me twice this month. I gave 3.5 stars to two of my very favorite authors. Both times I have been in the vast minority of reviewers, thankfully. I want my favorite authors to do well, as I want to keep reading their stuff till I die.
So what happened here? My biggest issue is that I failed to connect with any of the characters in She Did It. That’s a deal breaker for me—having no one to passionately root for. Tamara was OK, and I basically cheered for her, but not with all my heart. Sorry Tamara. Sorry Mel. Then there was the shifting timeline with three different time periods. I found that flow busting in this particular story. Also, the Kerrigan case the police were working on just didn’t grab me. The guy who was killed was a criminal. I didn’t really care about him. There was also not enough time devoted to this thread for me to bond with DC Carley Evans and DI Max Stanway, though I saw some potential in Carley as a possible lead character in a future book.
And geez, Esther was a real piece of work. Most readers will love her, but I’m saving myself for someone nicer.
Now there are definitely some fine things about She Did It. I was really interested in the inside look of the workings of a publishing house and its PR firm. That was great and I applaud Ms. Sherratt for giving that to us. The storyline is a good one. In addition, there are some nice twists, and I really liked the ending. And look at that beautiful cover (and not a backwards woman in sight)! The title is also a grabber.
The ratings for She Did It are fantastic so far. My outlier review is a little fish in a big pond. Now if you don’t mind a devious main character and don’t depend on needing a character to absolutely adore, then I recommend this book to you. There is plenty of story to get your teeth into and I feel certain you will enjoy it. Sorry Mel, you know how I feel about you, and I will still be reading all your books!
This authors books has always been a fabulous read. Not once can I say I've not been entertained. With this latest release I can honestly say the same thing.
I have learnt a new word too! Slalomed. I googled to see what this meant. A great word I'll be sure to use.
The story is a great story with a strong plot full of revenge. But although that is the main aim of the story line the thick surrounding details and characters surrounding all of this makes you wonder about things.
I couldn't help but sympathise with Esther. And often felt guilty that I did.
Tamara had her share of problems from the past too, she stepped up to begin making a life for herself.
It's a watertight story/plot that leads you openly along the way clearly leading the reader by the hand to get the full benefit of all its beauty that would stir anyone's juices who love a good crime, thriller, lies and secrets kind of read like I do.
It's also funny that my Twitter name is "suedidit" which made me laugh . I assure you, it wasn't me though!
This book centres round it's two main characters, Esther and Tamara. The women come from completely different backgrounds but as the story unfolds, we find they have more in common than we think. Tamara has just started a PR business and Esther is working for her on a trial basis. They are working together to promote and launch a novel for Dulston publishing.
I loved this book and how it unfolded. The twists just kept coming. I was pulled into the storyline from the first few pages. Another fantastic novel from Mel Sherratt and I do recommend this book.
I have to start by wishing Mel a very happy publication day!! Though she has written many books I’ve only read two, the books in the Eden Berrishford series and I’ve not read any of her psychological thrillers before, and boy have I been missing out! While her other books are more dark and gritty, this one was still dark, albeit in a different manner but there was still a very strong sinister vibe and twists and turns aplenty.
The story focuses on two women, Tamara and Esther who at first glance seem worlds apart, but upon further inspection they may have more in common than meets the eye. Both have secrets in their pasts that they would like to keep quiet and both have a history of instability, making me constantly question who was reliable or if either of them even were?! The lies and betrayals run deep with these two and they both seemed to have hidden agendas that weren’t revealed until the end.
True to Sherratt’s usual form this opens with a tense scene then flips to three months prior and it also occasionally flashes to the present day. This is fairly fast paced and kept me on my toes throughout as I tried to piece together the past events as well as try to connect them to what was happening currently. Sherratt has the unique ability to create characters that are memorable but also believable, the scenarios she conjures up are scary because you can actually imagine them happening, there is a realism to her writing style that is riveting.
I feel like I’ve said enough in terms of the plot, but if you like psychological thrillers you will enjoy this one. That sense of uneasiness and dread is felt throughout, the various plot threads come together in a stunning way and the ending had the exact type of chill that I adore in a great book!
I’m a huge fan of Mel Sherratt’s and love her style of writing, She Did It is very much a psychological thriller and errs away from the “grit lit” I’m used to reading by this author, but OMG I’m not going to beat about the bush and it’s going to sound cliched but this is definitely her best book yet. She Did It has all the elements I look for in a psychological thriller, unreliable characters, a plot that messes with the head, and a constant sense of intrigue and malice that keeps the reader on their toes.
From the beginning I became very suspicious of the two main characters Tamara and Esther, different as chalk and cheese they come together to launch and promote a novel for Dulston publishing. It soon becomes apparent Esther is using the work as a ploy to get close to someone who hurt her in the past. On first appearances both women appear vulnerable and fragile, their friendship appears to thrive, unfortunately it’s a friendship based on lies and manipulation, never a good thing in my opinion. Whilst reading She Did It I couldn’t help but thinking there was something sinister a foot and I questioned which of the two women were the more reliable, although at time I must admit I was convinced neither were to be trusted.
Like any good psychological thriller this isn’t a fast paced read, instead the author spends the time enticing the reader with her unreliable characters and slow revealing plot, I found myself constantly wondering where the plot was leading but Mel Sherratt plays her cards close to her chest and reveals just enough to maintain the suspense throughout this gripping book. She Did it is a tale of lies, deceit and misdirection, a constant sense of foreboding makes this an impossible book to put down. Would I recommend this book? You bet I would and I’m already waiting for Mel Sherratt’s next book with baited breath.
She Did It by Mel Sherratt Blurb A successful businesswoman, Tamara enjoys her champagne lifestyle to the full. At least, that is the front she displays to the world. As well as being lonely, she’s running out of money. A promising new member of staff brings the injection of fresh blood needed to win the contract that will turn things around.
Working for Tamara is a perfect ruse for Esther. But, along with fake references and qualifications, she also has a plan for revenge. Sensing Tamara’s vulnerability, Esther uses their acquaintance as a way of getting close to someone who hurt her in the past.
Tamara is keeping things secret. Esther has a dark side she is trying to hide. For both of them, lying is a habit. But when mistakes begin to catch up with them, and people start dying, which one will realise she chose the wrong person to trust as a friend? My Thoughts The blurb says everything. I couldn’t possibly add to that. All I can say is this book is a great psychological thriller with strong characters and tremendous writing. My favourite character is Esther. Yes, she’s off the scale completely, but she had me thoroughly entertained, wicked but wonderful. Once you find out her background, you become to realise why she is the way she is, and why she has her plan. I coasted through this and I found it much more readable than some other psychological thrillers that I’ve read. The author combines grit, compassion and some wicked humour and with shortish chapters, it’s a hard one to leave alone once you start. Highly Recommended!!
Mel Sherratt has done it again. An absolutely riveting read which had me turning the pages long into the night. I loved Mel's last psychological thriller but this is her best yet. The relationship between Tamara and Esther is full of twists and turns and you feel like a voyeur as you watch it develop in the most unpredictable way. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a dark twisty turny read. You won't be able to put it down.
Mel Sherratt is one of my favourite authors, I have read every single one of her books and I am a huge fan of her Estate series – so when she asked me if I wanted an ARC of SHE DID IT – OMFG, I was bouncing off the walls with excitement!
The author leaves the comfort of Staffordshire/the Midlands and heads for the Big Smoke in this novel. Set in London, the reader is met with lies, deceit, revenge, secrets, manipulation, anger, fear, mistrust, and the child-like need for validation/approval. What’s that you say? Sounds like a psychological thriller? Oh yeah – and what a mind f*ck it was! 😳
I was pulled into this novel from page one, with a #killerhook that messed with my mind and had me asking – WTAF just happened!? I loved how Mel Sherrat incorporated the world of books, publicity and bloggers into the storyline! There were two strands of the story which initially seemed miles apart but eventually come together perfectly. The story is told mainly from two points of view: Tamara and Esther – both being unreliable narrators which left my head reeling! There was a great build up in terms of pace and the pages were riddled with suspense- It didn’t take me long to finish this book because, well…I could not put the bloody thing down!
One of Mel Sherratt’s strong points are her characters. Whether you love them or hate them, this writer takes the time to develop and nuture each one so you really feel like you know them. Esther is manipulative, devious and determined to reach her goal, no matter the cost. She has a way of masking these qualities and at times it is hard to distinguish whether she was being devious or genuine! Most awesome! We learn she is chaotic and damaged and someone you definitely would not want to cross. I still felt I wanted to know more about Esther – like there was something missing to tie up certain aspects of the story – we learn some, but maybe my background in the criminal justice system had me asking too many questions…
Tamara is the poor little rich girl, except she’s not. She wants to make something of herself without hand-outs, to prove to her parents and others than she is skillful, smart and more than a pampered princess! Her downfall may well be her trusting nature, but she has her own secrets. Her lack of confidence and gullible side opens her up to be an easy target – but is she really? …you’ll have to read the book to find out!
DC Carley Evans, James and Danny were a few of the other supporting characters that piqued my interest. Each one had a key bit to the story which was drip fed to the reader in a tantalising tease of a way. Most awesome!
So, the question is: would I recommend this book? Erm…you bet your sweet arse, I would! A riveting, compelling read that will leave you questioning what you think you know, She Did It is the perfect psychological thriller to curl up with! Im a big fan of this authors books so was very excited when I saw she had a new stand alone novel coming out.
Tamara we are lead to believe that she is one of those spoilt rich kids who always has mummy and daddy to fall back on if things don’t work out. As we go along though I really liked Tamara. She is determined to make something of herself without anyone’s help. Right from the go I wanted to tell her to keep clear of Esther. Even though Tamara has secrets of her own, my gut instinct was she was one of the nice guys.
Esther, I am still at a loss with my feelings for her. She definitely isn’t who she appears to be and it’s obvious she has been dealt a tough hand in life. At some points I was infuriated for the injustice that life was dealing her but then on the other hand she is quite cold and calculated also.
She Did It was a dark and thrilling ride that I didn’t want to get off. The tension that builds throughout had me rushing through the pages of which the author made sure with the twists and turns she threw at me. I lapped them up and couldn’t get enough.
The queen of thrills and chills has done it again!
My thanks to the author for an advanced readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.
What a brilliant opening scene! My conclusion from the first couple of sentences were totally wrong and all I could think at the end of the first couple of pages was well nothing else is getting done until I read the next couple of chapters and find out what the hell just happened. Anyway I missed lunch and all of a sudden was at the end of the book. I just couldn’t find that spot to put it down, well I didn’t want to really as I was well and truly in that zone! Everything you do these days people ask for references, from renting a house to applying for a new job but it does make you wonder how many times these companies actually follow them up and don’t just go on gut instinct, can’t be bothered and simply haven’t got time. We all like to think we are good judges of character and so did Tamara. To the outside world Tamara was the success that her family expected to be, the truth was she was failing big style and need a quick fix with a big client to boost her crumbling mojo. It was a no brainer to Tamara to employ Esther. Esther wasn’t just bursting with enthusiasm that fizzled, Esther brought fresh ideas into play that hadn’t been used before. Tamara was a big fish and Esther just smiled and reeled her in. Then it was time to go after the ultimate prize. Now neither of these woman had not been really honest but bejesus I just kept getting flashes of that opening scene and wondered how things were going to get there! Which of these two was going to be that woman? Mel Sherratt had again set me up for an intense day of reading about her characters that have a multitude of different agendas to get what they want no matter what the cost. The difference though is treading on people’s toes to get what you desire or adding to the body count that is already started. One thing is for sure I was in their minds and seeing their own logic and justice and it was a place of torment. Just brilliant reading! I wish to thank the author for an ARC of this book which I have reviewed honestly.
I am a massive fan of Mel Sherratt especially the estate series. So you can imagine my excitement when I found out Mel was bringing out a standalone and it being a psychological thriller….happy days.
First of all I have to say that I love the cover and the title it has buy me written all over it.
She Did It tells a story about Tamara who is a successful business woman and Esther who lands herself a job working for her but they are both very different people. Which we learn has the story unfolds both of them having secrets.
I love the fact that the story is set in the publishing world talking about bloggers and book publishing which of course I can totally relate to. People that don't know how it works will certainly get an understanding when they read this. Mel sherratt certainly knows her stuff and I should think so to after selling a million books! Massive congratulations from me Mel.
Grabbing my attention right from the start Mel has produced another brilliant unputdownable story which takes the reader on one hell of a gripping ride keeping me guessing until the very end. Which I highly recommend giving it 4 stars.
Thank you to Mel Sherratt for a copy in exchange for a honest and unbiased review.
I’ve read pretty much all of Mel Sherratts books now! I love the way she captures those realistically gritty city settings and it was intriguing for me to find out that the city setting for She Did It moved from her usual Stoke on Trent to further down south in London. But thankfully it worked perfectly and although a standalone, there was still that darkly sinister and threatening criminal element to the plot that her fans have come to know and love.
Watching Over You, Mel’s last standalone is actually my favourite of all of her books…..well IT WAS!!! I devoured She Did It within a matter of hours, in a high state of anxiety for pretty much all of that time as I followed the story of these two very different women. When Tamara employs Esther as a temp at her home based PR company we come to realise very quickly that Esther has an ulterior motive for getting close to Tamara. She has lied to get the position as a way of inveigling someone Tamara is trying to do business with but who and why? And more importantly WHAT WILL SHE DO WHEN SHE DOES?! The opening few paragraphs really throw the reader an horrific insight into what lies ahead for one of our characters and from that moment on I was hooked! And as the tension slowly built up, I felt like a rabbit caught in headlights, desperate to escape from the drama unfolding but unable to tear my eyes away from what I was reading.
I loved the way Mel has used the world of publishing and book promotion as the back drop here. It’s a fascinating insight and probably the first time I’ve seen the role that book bloggers play in that process used within a fictional account of how publicists plan their campaigns. Working in such close proximity with each other, I found the women characters started to slowly reveal far more of themselves to each other than they had perhaps wanted to and it was their gradual process of discovery that chilled me to the bone. Both women had secrets, both were lying so I felt misdirected by their motives for forming the unexpected friendship that went unexpectedly beyond their business alliance.
Overall, I absolutely loved She Did It and it’s themes of friendship, obsession and revenge. So I am very happy to highly recommend it to fans both old and new!
Hello book lovers Mel Sherratt has delivered her latest book, She Did It, which is not only a brilliant psychological thriller but also is also set in the world of book publicity, and yes the trusty book blogger gets more than one mention!
Tamara is the classic poor little rich girl. Despite on the surface having all the connections and the family money she feels a bit of a failure especially as her three siblings have done what was expected of them, settled down to a good career or motherhood. Not Tamara, she has just launched her own PR firm and is knuckling down to win a contract to deliver the PR for a new debut novelist. But she has too many tasks to complete and advertises for an assistant.
Esther’s moment is here, she attends the interview and gets the job. She’s soon ensconced in Tamara’s dining room helping her pull together her presentation to win the contract. A contract that is badly needed as Tamara, despite her nice clothes, is living a pretty much hand to mouth existence unwilling to go to her parents and beg for money.
Both of the main characters have secrets and neither are quite what they appear but at the beginning they forge a relationship albeit with an obvious power imbalance and a more shadowy version which tips the power in the other direction. Mel Sherratt has really got a feel for her characters and even though it is obvious quite soon who we should be wary of, there is just enough detail to stop this developing into full-blown dislike. Instead I spent much of this book hoping that the journey I feared we were on would be re-routed.
With a very British outing to the races, expensive dresses and a book launch mixed in with dangerous weapons and drugs, this really was a story of two very different lives brought together to produce a thrilling read.
I have to admit I’ve drawn back from overly dramatic psychological thrillers lately but this is up there with the best in the ‘ooh I just can’t put this down’ so mesmerised by the power-struggle disguised as friendship and awaiting the awful events that were obviously on route to the devastating train-wreck which was going to occur. Quite what twists and turns we would hurtle around on the way was impossible to predict (I had to squint through one eye to read most of them).
The narrative of the book does shift backwards and forwards with both main characters detailing not only their plans but their past to reveal more about them. As I said earlier, this isn’t a book where the reader looks on with amazement while fundamentally dislikeable characters wreak destruction, there was far more subtlety to She Did It which added a layer of integrity to the storyline.
If you want one of those compulsive reads that so many of us are addicted to, I suggest you pick up a copy of this book and enjoy the journey!
There is some amount of comfort when you pick up the book of an author you already know and love. You know, if nothing else, that you are going to be served up a good story; well written with good, solid, rounded characters that you can get behind.
With She Did It, Mel Sherratt serves up a stonkingly huge slice of comfort pie and tops it off with a whole dollop of cream. And sprinkles. From the very first page I was drawn into this book and I feasted on all it had to offer – unreliable narrators, intriguing storyline and a deep buried secret which led to some disturbing and occasionally violen revelations.
Tamara is a woman trying to launch a new PR business. Her main aim is to land a major publishing house as her first big client, but in order to do so she needs help. Enter Esther, a woman almost too good to be true. Beautiful and elegant she is everything Tamara is looking for. Or is she? While their friendship seems to blossom, neither woman is being entirely honest with the other. And the secrets they keep could see everything Tamara has worked for come crashing down around her – with deadly consequences.
This was a truly intriguing read for me. There is a kind of feeling of the unreliable narrator about the book, told from both Esther and Tamara’s points of view, as it is clear neither woman is telling the whole truth. But as deceptive as Esther is, and it is made apparent from the off that she isn’t all she is purporting to be, she is still not entirely honest, with her full motivation kept hidden from the reader until nearly the end. And when it is revealed… prepare to be shocked. You will think you know – hints are dropped throughout – but nothing can quite prepare you for the truth. It is cruel, and it is uncomfortable, but it also feel authentic and unforced. Not a shock for shocks sake.
Tamara is an entirely different character. She appears open, amiable. Altogether too trusting of her new friend and employee. Even when she sees the warning signs, she still accepts Esther’s explanations and you would think her naive. And yet you still cannot trust all that she says and feels. She has a past too, a secret which will make you question her integrity and perhaps her sanity too – something the story hinges upon.
All of the characters and the setting, largely around Tamara and Esther’s marketing ploys in preparation for the release of an brand new novel, a subject the author undoubtedly knows well, feel authentic and well fleshed out. You get a good sense of what makes each person tick, and yet Mel Sherratt also manages to create an element of mistrust among each of them. The two personalities of Esther are so distinct, so beautifully written, that she seemelessly flicks between the two, making the reader, much like Tamara, wonder if the change really occured at all.
The tension in this book may be slow building, but the promise of discovery keeps you perched on the edge of your seat from start to finish. That said, you never quite know what Esther is likely to do next and that intrigue will keep you turning the pages into the small hours.
She Did It… She certainly flipping did. If you like a book full of secrets, manipulation and a woman hell bent on revenge, then look no further as Mel Sherratt knocks this one out of the park. A really engrossing read. Loved it.
#KillerHook opening alert! Right from the start, I knew that there was something very wrong and oh so very bad going to happen in #SheDidIt and OMG so much blood in that prologue was the killer hook opening for me!
Tamara and Esther come together as Tamara seeks someone to give her failing business the boost that it needs, while Esther has clearly been seeking someone to help her in her quest for revenge. Two women – both with something to hide, both of them liars and together they provide a chilling psychological thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat!
Loved the references to the publishing world and marketing campaigns for the launch of the book as well as the shout out to bloggers involvement in the process.
As characters it was extremely difficult to warm to either woman, they are unreliable narrators and both using each other for their own means, however, as the plot develops you begin to see what lies behind the insecurities and lies and the vulnerability that has left them damaged but can they be repaired?
The very sense of ordinariness about #SheDidIt is what makes it so chilling, how often do we accept and invite people into our lives and open up to them; when do we know when we are being manipulated or a true friendship?
Stick with the changing timelines and the unseemingly unconnected crimes, it all ties up into a twisted and brilliant conclusion that makes perfect sense.
#SheDidIt is A delightfully twisted web of lies and deceit that will trap you in the pages and leave you screaming for just one more chapter before you put it down!
I really enjoyed this book ! Many twists and it was easy to become engrossed with the dynamics of the 2 main female characters . An excellent study on how past experiences can and often do predict future behaviour ! The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because some of the sentences were a bit repetitive and could have done with a bit tighter editing .
I was drawn in by the title and tag line (fabulous) and really loved that it was set in and around the world of a budding PR firm and gave us a glimpse into the world of publishing.
I'm sure that I will be in the minority, as there are already lots of rave reviews around for 'She Did It' but the characters didn't fully engage me, I felt that some were perhaps a little cliched and others just a little too unbelievable and that the different timelines didn't quite flow for me as a reader. The pace and plot really were engaging and I needed to keep reading to the end, some lovely twists!!
Eh. This book was really hard to follow at times because it jumped around chronologically so much. Usually, I can connect with a character on some level but I had difficulty connecting with Tamara or Esther. Both were victims; one set on revenge, the other with such a lack of confidence, it was almost eye-roll worthy at times. There was no "finding of oneself" with either of these women, which was quite depressing. The only strong female character in the book was DC Carly, and even she needed most of her direction from Max. Lastly, Gaby's stance on the whole situation completely pissed me off and totally ruined the book for me.
I am a big Mel Sherratt fan, especially her Allie Shenton series. When I received a copy of her newest release She Did It, I was looking forward to reading a standalone. Tamara and Esther are two very different characters, however they both have secrets they are hiding. When Esther turns up with fake references to work for Tamara, Tamara is grateful that she has finally found someone she can rely on. Esther in turn plays her part and on the surface looks to be supporting Tamara at a time when her business really needs the boost.
Esther was a more engaging character for me and although it was clear she was extremely devious and had an evil streak she was incredibly engaging. Tamara less so and at tims I found her a little bland in comparison and at times naive. However after the halfway point my attitude changed somewhat and I realised I didn't really know what either woman was capable of or why.
As the story progressed the plot thickened but elements of the past started to make an appearance and pretty soon everything just started unravelling. It was an easy book to get pulled in to and I certainly feel like this is a slight move away from her normal books and this falls more into the Psychological Thriller genre for me. It was certainly a good read and one that I think her fans will enjoy. I still remain a stout Shenton fan and am really looking forward to the next book in tthe series.
I’ve not been disappointed by Mel Sherratt’s novels to date so when she announced she was writing a psychological thriller, I was rather excited. I love psychological thrillers; they’re my favourite kind of crime fiction. Has Mel Sherratt pulled off the side step from her usual gritty crime novels into psychological thrillers? Well I can tell you she has done it with bells on! I loved this book from the very start with the opening sequence capturing my attention and not letting it go to the final words talking of revenge!
I really felt for Tamara; she’s trying to prove herself for how she is not who her parents are. She wants to stand on her own two feet and be a modern independent woman, not the woman her parents expect her to be. It’s not easy proving yourself.
Now Esther is someone I really didn’t take to when she first came along. She’s a girl with secrets and a hidden agenda and the more I read, the more I found out. Mel Sherratt has a way drip feeding tit bits of information but not the full story. Plenty to make me keep turning the pages at a rapid pace!!
As with her other novels, Ms Sherratt has cast an element of darkness in her writing and for a psychological thriller this is a must! I would love to see more psychological thrillers from the keyboard of Ms Sherratt!!
Huge thanks to Mel Sherratt for my advanced copy of She Did It!
Firstly I feel privileged to be one of the first to read this book. Thank you Mel. Slightly different to her usual style, this being more of a psychological thriller. I loved her other book in this genre, Watching Over You, too. For me, one of the bonuses of this author’s writing is the way she makes me feel like I know everyone already. Like I’ve known them all my life. There’s no confusion about who’s who, no looking back and wondering where I’d seen the name before. I liked both the main characters of Tamara and Esther but both had skeletons in the closet and were liars. I liked this aspect, and was wondering if they would come unstuck…I’ll leave it there as I don’t want to give anything away plotwise. There is a contrast between them, where they live, their schooling, their clothes. I loved the little clothes boutique they visited. I liked the storyline about publishing and book promotion, really very interesting #shedidit It got quite nail-biting in the end and I had to make myself breathe. I’ve been looking at my desk paperweight from a different angle too. It had me turning the pages that's for sure. Cold and calculating, it had me gripped. This is a sure fire winner, I loved it. Thoroughly recommended by me. #shedidit Mel Sherratt is one of my favourite authors. I’ve enjoyed everything she has written and thoroughly recommend her books. There’s no denying that I’m a big fan of Mel Sherratt and her alter-ego Marcie Steele #TeamSherratt Thanks to Mel Sherratt for my review copy in exchange for an honest review.
Gotta admit I rounded up to 3. This is my first time reading this author and something about it just wasn’t for me. I honestly didn’t feel anything for any of the characters, and was just waiting for it to be over (I’m sorry). The plot is good, and maybe it’s just the mood I’m in, but I found it just meh
Heading straight on to my #sleepstealer list, She Did It is a must read for any fans of true psychological thrillers - this will get inside your head and have you freaked out by the ending!
Mel Sherratt is in outstanding form with this pacy, page turning thriller. It had all the thrills and chills to keep you needing to find out how it ended.
No wonder Mel Sherratt has sold a million books! SHE DID IT delivers clever plotting, complex characters and multiple twists and turns. This author's many fans are in for an absolute treat with this one!
