Yes I really enjoy reading this story because they are part of a series, but each book in the series can be read as a standalone book. Loving Quinn The Lone Wolf Defenders Book 2 takes place in New York City 'New York. The setting is perfect, can you imagine the wolves running businesses in the city and working for some of the local businesses. They even have lots of room to run when they are furry, and a fantastic building to live in for when they are not. Believe me you won't be put off that this is book the second book in the Lone Wolf Defenders series, because I have read all of Alicia Montgomery ’s books and I have enjoyed them all. The characters are fascinating, this book is Quinn Martin and Selena Merlin story. Quinn is a lone wolf Shifter with gorgeous blue eyes, devilish good looks and charisma who is type who can melt any woman he wants panties off. Selena is a curvy, sassy, redhead that's almost a witch,this puts her at the bottom rung of her coven hierarchy. I loved the main characters, these two are hot together! This story has humor, hot steamy with Lycan action and sexy scenes. I like that it's a great escapism with a HEA. I like the fact that Alicia Montgomery writes very entertaining werewolf stories. I can always count on her books for some sexy Werewolves action and of course the story is slightly predictable. But Alicia is gifted with the world she creates, her characters are fantastic, they can make you laugh out loud and change your mood to a happy one. I highly recommend this book if you need to smile. This is a great book to read.

Not a lone wolf anymore.
Quinn and Selena’s story was entertaining.
I did think the obvious suspect overlook was ridiculous. He supposedly worked and obsessed about her safety and did not think the number one suspect with connections was not worth looking into?
Besides that loved the back and forth. And her Merlin uncle
was great.
Wished he had done a big reveal at the party. Felt like it was a let down. Was waiting for her powers to come when she had courage to stand up for herself or when she became pregnant.

This was such an enjoyable read.
Quinn has had a hard life. I really can't understand how he can be so full of life, but he is.
Serena is the sexy little librarian that has captured his eye and his heart along their journey to discovering what's really important.
Between trying to stay alive and family drama these two manage to fall in love, but are they really True Mates?

I absolutely loved this book! This is the second book in the series and it's connected to the True Mates book but it is a stand alone novel. You can start with this one without issues but you won't necessarily know all the ins and outs with the rest of the characters but you won't really feel like you are missing something. I love getting to catch up with the other characters and they were blended in well. We mainly get to see Quinn and Selena, along with Quinn's family. I loved the characters and the story. Quinn has been the playboy out of the group and he doesn't quite know what to do with what he feels for Selena. They both have some things going on and go into this not expecting it to become what it does. I love their banter they have but it does create a miscommunication with their relationship. Neither wants to be the only one that has feelings and so both deny it, even though they both do. I liked the flow of the story and the way that it built. There is some action in the story but not as much as ones in the past. This didn't bother me in the least as it fit the situation and the characters. The sex is explicit and blends well. I was thoroughly entertained while reading this story and can't wait for the next one.

Fun & Enjoyable Story.
I admit I was surprised that I enjoyed it so much since I'm not really into the player/virgin trope. Overall, the story was well written and the characters were well suited for one another. The tension between Quinn and Selena wasn’t too over the top or drawn out excessively. I enjoyed their back-and-forth banter.
A couple things were telegraphed early in the story which is why I rated it 4 stars instead of 5. I’ll try to explain without spoilers. I pretty much figured out how Selena’s secret would play out. I also predicted the storyline with Quinn’s family. Maybe I’ve just read too many stories or watched too many soap operas. That said, it didn't ruin the story for me.
Loved seeing Meredith and her smart mouth in the story. Loved the interactions with Evie and Conner. I'm looking forward to reading the next story with Connor and Evie. It’s about time those two get together 😊

Selena is born from a generations of witches but her powers has not manifested. She was bullied during her teenage years for having no powers. She works at the New York Public Library where she earns enough money. Suddenly, Quinn comes to the library and he insists that she should eat lunch with him.
Quinn works at the Lone Wolf Security as a hacker and he deals with the computer stuff. He loves to annoy Selena whenever she is around the office to have lunch with her friend. He is not looking for any relationship because he was raised by a single mom and his father left them.
Selena is avoiding her father's calls since he wants to know if she accepts the offer to marry a warlock. They treated her differently for not having any magic which is why her father insists that she should make a decision about her engagement.
Quinn decides to find his father whom he learns that he is a congressman. Then, he heads to Selena's apartment which leads them to kissing and he knows that she wants him Since then, he is hanging out with Selena which seems to made his wolf happy whenever she is around.
Selena tells Quinn that they should only have one night. She knows that he is not into for a relationship and he agreed that it would not happen again. She cannot stop thinking about how handsome he is but she that Quinn will be tired of her and he will move on to another woman. However, they encounter an incident and someone plans to hurt them. Then, he decides that she should stay in his apartment to keep her safe. Can he have another chance with his mate? Or will she fight against fate?
The story has a good plot and plot twist is good. I like the banter between the characters and they have a great chemistry. I enjoyed reading the book and I love that Selena and Quinn have a HEA ending

Loving Quinn and this SERIES!!!
So after reading All For Connor book 3; checked my incredible back log of books to be read and found Loving Quinn!! Whoo Hoo! Loved this one!!! Again such strong characters and the great writing kept me deep in the story! I believe I have a new favorite author to read! LoL. Again I would Highly Recommend this book for anyone who enjoys shifter stories!! Definitely worth your reading time! I have two more in my backlog from this author; will be reading those next!!!

Book 2 is Quinn and Selena's story. Quinn was the resident Tec geek. He spends a lot of time trying to track the families of the lone wolves stolen as children, to try and get their lives back, as well as doing regular security work. Selena was from a long line of witches but was without any powers, she was also best friends and roomie to Lone Wolves secretary Evie, which is now they met. Really enjoying this series, dam good, well written storylines, shame only 1 more book........................

I voluntarily received an ARC copy of this book for review. I have to say Alicia Montgomery has done it once again. I love how the characters and settings of the story just drag you into the middle of it. Selena and Quinn get off to a rocky start when Sir Quinn, bad boy, opens his mouth and always seems to stick his foot in it when it comes to Selena. Great read, with a great HEA. Must read. Oh and prepare to laugh too, Quinn is really something.

I loved learning about the sexy and hot Quinn.
I loved catching up with the Lone Wolf's and the New York Clan. Quinn and Selena have a great banner between the two of them in the beginning. So they just can't ignore the sparks and feelings between them. There is plenty of hot, passionate sex from these two. This was another great storyline in the Lone Wolf series. I can't wait to learn about Connor next.

My Opinion
This was such a silly book. They were hot one mind cold the next. All of their problems could have been solved with one conversation. The the heroine needed a backbone. How are you going to be bullied your whole life and do nothing about it? She was a doormat. I hate stupid books were misunderstandings go on for long times and no one communicates. This could have been a great story but it isn't. I can not recommended this book

Love this addition to series. Kept me interested from start to finish. Hot alpha male,strong "almost" witch,great chemistry between Quinn and Selena,family drama to overcome,lots of funny moments,hot sexy moments as well as ups and downs between the couple. I am looking forward to Connor and Evie's book

Really Enjoyed Quinn's Story
At some places I wondered who I felted sorriest for Quinn or Sabrina. Their story will make you laugh, worry, and then rejoice for the wonderful HEA ending. Can't wait for Connor's story. More fun with the 3 brothers and sister and all their mates ,friends and extended family.

Outstanding
Alicia Montgomery just keeps me motivates me in reading more and more. I just love her Series and I'm liking how she's keeping with the True Mate Series and telling each of the Characters stories.

Good characters
I like the writing, characters, and plot. I generally like the author's books. Be aware that the book completes the love story and a battle against the villain but to totally complete the fight against the villain you have to read the series.

Don't hate the player
Quinn is a great example of the reformed rake. He's the player you love to hate. It was too much fun watching him fall for Selena, and her falling for him, telling themselves it's just once more.

loved the characters
These characters were exactly what the author said they would be. Again lots of laughs with some mystery. Just wish the wicked step sister got more of what they were due. Loved all the hints for the next book. Can’t wait to see which way it goes.
