Grim destruction threatens the Terran Alliance unless Kira and crew can restore the balance of power...
Colonel Grimm continues his mad pursuit of war against his own people. Kira, Thor and crew race against time to find Colonel Grimm and defeat him before he can deploy his Supernova weapon against the Terran Alliance.
The only trouble is that no one knows where Grimm hides. His coup was well staged, and elaborately executed. His followers are loyal. In a desperate attempt to track him down and end the rebellion Kira and Thor must travel to Jaantu 7, the galaxy's most infamous prison, and locate the only two humanoids that know where he could be.
Kira and Thor must now battle their growing love for one another against the dangers they face. Will they successfully infiltrate Jaantu 7, or will they fail and watch Grimm take all that they hold dear?
This is the third book in the best-selling Far Hope Series and contains mature themes intended for 18+ audiences
Captain Kira and her crew are now free people with the price on their heads gone. They aren't out of trouble. Colonel Grim is trying to take over the universe and get his revenge on Kira and Thor. It is pretty clear that Grim has the doomsday weapon that can cause a sun to go supernova. Right now the Terran Alliance has stopped his advance so the next step is to find Grim's hideout and take him and his weapon out. Kira and the admiral figure out he is hiding out in a destroyed enemies base but no one has record where that base used to be. Grim has two former associates who might be able to take them there but they are locked up in a prison the Alliance has no authority in. The best plan is for the admiral to reinstate the bounty on Kira, Thor and Dr. D. They will get arrested and taken to Jaantu 7 prison. While there, they will find Grim's old associates and the rest of Kira's crew will break them out of the most infamous prison in the galaxy. Sounds easy, but not really. The prisoners rule the prison by mob rule and only strongest survive. This installment has lots of action and violence. There is also tender emotions and humor. I love this series and can't wait for the next installment. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
Once again Ms. James writes a gut grabbing high octane thrill a minute continuation of the Far Hope series! We again follow Thor, Kira and the rest of our intrepid hero's as they try and save their world! Full of menacing and merciless mercenary's sent to stop them and the riveting romance that color the pages with amazing edginess Ms. James keeps you on the edge of your seat with death defying acts of valor. Grimm's pitiless and revenge fueled orders for their capture and death draws you page after page into a world that is full of danger and unforgiveness and you gasp, claw and scream wanting more!! Amazing book! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Another good story in the Far hope series. This time Kira, Thor and the rest of the gang are back with a lot of action and running around trying to save the world from Colonel Grimm and his latest plan to take over everything. This time the gang is asked to make a great sacrifice to stop one of Grimm's plans. Of course something goes wrong and Kira and Thor must fight for their lives. I received a free copy ad my honest review is that the story was well written as usual, full of action and fight scenes, and addicting as I had to see how everyone would get out of this problem. Plus there were a few funny scenes scattered throughout the book that were a blast.
I received an ARC edition of this book from the author.
You need to read the previous books in the series for this one to make sense.
This book I felt more of the romance than I did in the previous books, though I still get more romance out of the secondary characters than I do with Kira and Thor. Bron and Alaria are absolutely adorable together and Vinnie adds a real humor to the whole team. I also really want to give Dario a hug (a purely platonic, friendly hug). The middle of the story did have some points that dragged for me, but overall I found it to be a solid addition to the story arc.
The ending is definitely the lead-up to the next book in the series.
We're starting to get more heavily into the scifi plot now that the relationships are essentially established in the story line. We've added some interesting new characters and the book reads more like a scifi novel than a romance. It's appreciated to see the depth grow, but the novella serialization of these makes it hard to keep in mind what happened in the last one when the next one comes out, as they aren't self contained stories.
A good sci-fi with extra poorly written short stories
Supernova is a fun 4 star story. Unfortunately it is paired with a couple of weak short stories that need editing, plots, and just plain better writing. Someone is trying to explore other genres and getting an audience. Most of the rest are lousy stories with no logical place with the first book. There's erotic romance, vampire, shapeshifters, billionaire boss, billionaire baby stories tacked on. What a waste.
A very exciting and action packed third book to the series. The crew of the Curio are back and just when they thought they were free of the law, they get thrown back in. A few new characters join the story and bring more humor with them. Now if they can stop Grimm from making the sun go supernova.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. This book had lots going for it. The story continues to be a hard to put down read! There is action, love, laughter, twists, aliens and a crazy man! It is well written and each book is better than the last. Another great read!
Action, adventure, humor, smoldering attraction and twists and turns that will keep you guessing. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
A very well written excellent book. I couldn't put it down. Lots of action and energy. I recommend it. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
I recieved a free advance copy for a review. I love this series. It has actoin humour and love all in one. The book keeps you entertained and i just could not put it down. This is a must read!!!
This series is really good. In this installment Kira and Thor end up locked up in the infamous Jaantu 7 superprison. The sad part is, they got arrested on purpose! They are hoping to find out from a couple of inmates where Grimm may be hiding out. Unfortunately, it is not going to be as easy to get out as it what to get in. They are depending on the rest of their crew to come up with a prison break plan and get them all out.
Join the crew of the Curio as they try to get into, stay out of, and break people out of, jail!
I was given an ARC of this book. My review is voluntary.
