Well huh. I'm apparently in the minority but I only liked it. I like this author, but, I well, I didn't much care for Luther. Actually I really can't place where I started not loving this book but it was at the beginning. But to mention again, I usually really love her books but this was just off for me. Maybe cause it took to long for Ginger to get her man & for Luther to come clean, but it was just meh for me. I'm sure some of you will love it.

"I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own."

In Clusterf*ck Ash Harlow returns to the tiny town of Waitapu in time for Darcy and Oliver's wedding. Her best friend Ginger is her maid of honor and Ginger's long-time crush, Oliver's business partner, Luther is the best man. For a while it appears that this is the night her "Luther" fantasies will come. True, he does make it clear that it will only be a one night hook-up, but still! Unfortunately, Ginger's fantasy remains unfulfilled when Luther discovers her virgin status. To make matters worse, a few days later Luther approaches her to be the live-in nanny to Rachel, a 5 year old he is guardian for. Ginger accepts the temporary position with trepidation. Even with the temptation of living under the same roof Luther, Ginger, and Rachel quickly settle in. Before they even realize it, they have become a happy little family. But Luther is keeping a secret that could destroy everything.

Ginger is one of the most likable characters imaginable. She puts others (mostly her mother) in front of her own wants and desires. She has a wonderful energy, is a loyal, caring friend, and is a bright girl. She has a streak of insecurity that is endearing. You can't help but wish for her happiness. Luther is brilliant and ruthless. He's a protective, loyal friend. He's also a brusque, grumpy man. This all changes around a little 5 year old princess. Rachel brings out the warm and fuzzy side of Luther. This is a new Luther that forgets to scowl; I like my Luther very much.

There is little suspense in this book, the secret is obvious from the beginning. What does create the tension is waiting to see how it will all play out. This little family is adorable and Luther's secrets definitely risk their future happiness. He risks their chance to ever become a real family. Forgiveness will be hard, if not impossible. Trust will be shattered. Hopefully a full confession can salvage the relationship. Entertaining read for these lazy summer afternoons!

Ginger has lusted after Luther for five years. They grew up in Waitapu, New Zealand (along with Oliver, the H of Crave: Addicted to you, my favourite romance if 2017). You don’t need to read Crave to enjoy this book, but you should because it is So. Damn. Awesome.

The story begins with Luther and Ginger attending the wedding of the respective best friends, and are paired as best man and maid of honour together. Luther has spent the last five years lusting after Ginger, which he has masked with a grumpy, scowling visage. But the wedding loosens inhibitions and Luther convinces himself that maybe he can have Ginger for just one night, and kill the crush she has on him. Instead, Ginger finds hope that she can peel away the layers and find the Luther she sometimes glimpses.

Ginger knows about how Luther is loyal is to the people who mean something to him. What she doesn’t know is the extent to which Luther has protected and smoothed aspects of her life. I don’t want to put any spoilers here, because you need to experience The Feels the way Ms Harlow intended.

This book is exquisitely written. There is an unravelling of events that is paralleled by the unravelling of Luther’s resolve to want, but not have, Ginger. And Ginger can see beyond the pushing; he’s not rejecting her, so she continues peeling and unraveling to find the heart of the matter. This is the way to slowly build a solid, loving relationship. This book captured my heart because of the loving, compassionate way the characters behave during a sensitive time. They need to rise above the clusterf*ck to get to the destination. I loved their journey.

This book is also fun, and funny. The overheard masturbation fantasy. Cock brain. The virginity clause. This is a book to savour.

I received an Advance Review Copy of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it. And then I bought it, because it is so awesome.

Anything But A Clusterf*ck

Clusterf*ck is the third story by Ash Harlow about the development of a relationship between at least one member of a group of friends who reside in the small seaside town of Waitapu, New Zealand. It tells the story of the relationship between Luther, a third generation Waitapu lawyer, and Ginger, another Waitapu native who is multitalented, but still searching for her niche, having been stuck in the town after high school by her needy and manipulative mother. Although extremely attracted to each other, only Ginger desires to act on the attraction while Luther tends to attempt to keep Ginger at arm's length. When bachelor Luther turns out to be the guardian of a 4 year old child, named Rachel, who will be coming to live with him, he determines that the best person to act as Rachel's temporary live-in nanny (until he can find an appropriate professional replacement) is Ginger. Yet there is a connection that Luther has been sworn to secrecy to protect.

Ash Harlow develops this story and the characters of its primary protagonists beautifully. Her descriptions of the town and its inhabitants are painstakingly detailed and vivid, allowing the reader to come to know and appreciate them for all their strengths and flaws. She injects just the right amount of emotion, intrigue and heat in just the right places.

Possibly what I appreciated most about my choice to read this book was the bonus inclusion of the two previous stories (I did mention that this was the third), Crave and Stellar Love, which tell the stories of the relationships between Darcy and Oliver and Stella and Reuben, who are all part of the Waitapu experience portrayed in this book. I read all three before writing this review and, without any doubt, my review of this story was equally influenced by the other two.

Clusterf*ck may have been my first book choice of a story penned by Ash Harlow. It most certainly won't be my last.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Virginia (Ginger) Hough and Luther Angstrom. Luther has wanted Virginia for years now but a promise he made 5 years ago has kept them apart. The more he acts like a jerk to her the easier he believes it will be to keep that line in place. However the line is being blurred and not because of something she did per se. More of the fact that he isn't sure he can keep up this act much longer. However when he needs her as a nanny he knows she is the right woman to ask. He wonders though if it wasn't for that promise would she be the right woman for both him and this little girl?

Ginger has had a crush on Luther since she first laid eyes on him. She knows he doesn't want anything to do with her. That being said it has done nothing to quelch her longing for him. So though she knows she should stay away from him she knows she can't when there is a little girl involved. She wonders though being this close to Luther will it bring them closer or will it be the final nail in the coffin she has built up in her mind?

This is a great book about loyalty and love and finding out sometimes where the line or promises to others divide those two. There are many twists in this book that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I want to tell you so much more about this book but don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Another great read by Ash Harlow and this time it's Ginger (Darcy's friend) and Luther (Oliver's best friend). These two have had a secret crush on each other for years and now it's Oliver and Darcy's wedding and they happen to be best man and maid of honour. What starts as an innocent dance between the two when it's the bridal party's turn, their proximity to each other takes all their self control. Problem is Luther has always acted like he hates Ginger giving her scowls all the time to keep his distance and to deter her, but that night he lets his true feelings shine through and Ginger plays along. But the night doesn't end like how either had expected and when he needs a favor from her regarding a little girl, she can't deny him in all things. Unfortunately due to a promise he made years ago...they may be done before they even start.
WOW WOW WOW what a read with steamy scenes that will make you swoon and sigh but not only that watching Luther transform as he tries to fight his attraction and feelings for Ginger and Ginger giving as good as he gets with her comebacks and surprising him many times with her indifferent attitude when he was expecting a meltdown. With a promise that you don't find out the details till near the end, a cute 5 year old that will melt your heart and two people with chemistry and sparks that ignite the pages....could NOT put the book down.

Another 5 star winner from Ash Harlow. This author has a talent for wtiting lovable, quirky, witty characters within an emotional, suspenseful tale.

I full on adored Virginia, Luther and Rachel. The chemistry between Ginger and Luther was palpable and angst filled. But thankfully we don't have to wait too long for them to start failing the fight against their attraction. We know there's a big secret and I had some guesses but I wasn't able to figure it out. The author slowly unveils clues that keep you intrigued and dying to know. When the the mystery was revealed my love for Luther soared even more. But it was both beautiful and heartbreaking and it made me tear up. Rachel is an absolute doll and adds such a sweet and unique element to the story.

This is a perfectly crafted story of 'forbidden' love due to secrets, promises and past connections between two people that are so drawn to each other, it's inevitable. Luther and Ginger fall hard and fast despite their fight. There's laughter, angst, frustration, excitement, mystery and super hot sexy times. Luther is a alpha fixer and Ginger is fiercely independent. The push and pull is fantastic.

Ash Harlow has become a favorite for delivering sexy love stories with a twist of mystery in a dream location- New Zealand. I immensely enjoyed this read and highly recommend it.

Oh WOW. Where do I start? This book is tremendous. It encapsulates drama, secrets, humour, flaws in people, caring, possessiveness, protectiveness, devotion, lust [plenty of lust], hot, steamy scenes that will make you turn on a fan/air con, riveting characters, great secondary characters, fantastic writing and a storyline that will surprise you and keep you turning page after page till you reach the end of the story. At that point, I just wanted to read it again as it was such a "draw" to me. Why was Luther always watching her when he thought she wasn't looking? Why did he always avoid her if possible? Virginia, Ginger, is a strong minded woman who has been attracted to Luther for over 5 years but won't give her the time of day, yet she continues to hope that he will look at her with love in his eyes. These and The Secret you will find out when you read this book. Not if, but WHEN as you won't want to miss this roller coaster of a story that is so well written by Ash Harlow.I was surprised when with the twist in the story due to The Secret which I really liked as so many romance books do tend to have a "formula" for a book but this was definitely something different. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and recommend it without reservation. I received an ARC of this book but voluntarily leave my review here. I'm now looking forward to reading more books by her :)

I think I like this book more then the last book and that's hard to do. Ginger has always had a crush on Luther but, he never gave her the time of day. He always acted like he didn't even like her as a friend. When actually he always had feelings for her. But he had a secret....a big secret and he just couldn't go back on a promise he made.

It was always easy to keep his distance until his best friend and Ginger's best friend got together and got married. Luther was the best man and Ginger was the maid of honor. Something clicked that night when he saw her all dressed up and beautiful. He ended up taking her home that night. He made sure to let her know this was a one time thing and once the sun came up they would go back to the way they have always been. However, when he finds out something he cannot go through with it.

He then needs her help a week or so later and has to explain some things to her. Then offers her a job as a live-in nanny. How will Luther and Ginger live under the same roof when they can't seem to get the other out of their minds.

This was such a well written, smoking hot book. And the twist towards the end....not sure how but, I totally saw that coming.

Luther is my new book boyfriend!!! Love him!

We first met Ginger and Luther in "Crave" (which you don't need to read to "get" this story - but you should because it is a great read!) and now we get their story. The plot is very intriguing. Ginger has secretly wanted Luther...forever. You can tell Luther has a thing for Ginger, but why has he been so jerky toward her? Now, with his hot/cold attitude, sexual innuendos, etc, poor Ginger doesn't know what to think!
Luther can't keep himself out of Ginger's life any longer. He wants more. But he has been keeping some big secrets, and not his secrets to share. But the secrets could threaten and possible chance he has with Ginger.
Ash does a great job of taking you on the journey through Luther and Ginger's tangled relationship. You can feel their longing for love and each other and the struggles they go through to do the right thing and to knock down barriers in between.
I did think the end was a little rushed (especially the part with Ginger's mother), but, I did like the epilogues to help sum things up.
Overall, a great read once again by Ash

I was already half-in love with Luther from the previous book, Crave, where he was a secondary character. You don't have to have read that story (this is a standalone), but if you did then you've already seen Luther and Ginger dancing around their feelings for each other. He's a total alpha-hole on the outside but it's covering up a sweet, gooey center that has Ginger's name tattooed on it.

In this amazing book we get all the feels, all the complications that make true love worth fighting for, all the secrets laid bare, and all their hopes and dreams come true by the HEA. Such a great story. Ash Harlow really knows how to construct the plot and propel it along with amazing dialogue and explosive chemistry. You'll be drawn into this story immediately and it'll hold you captive all the way to the end. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book, but bought a copy as well because it's That Good.

This is my first Ash Harlow book and I have to say I wasn't disappointed! Romance, laughter, tears, well done hot sex scenes, and a dust of suspense.

Virginia, or Ginger as everyone calls her, has crushed on Luther for years. It doesn't seem to matter how she acts around him, he always shrugs her off and acts like she's nothing more than a nuisance. Then fate, or their friends, throw them together at a wedding. By the end of the night, they are leaving together.

Luther has his reasons for keeping Ginger at arm's length. A promise he'd made five years ago helps remind him why he doesn't act on the attraction between them. But somehow, Ginger is slowly breaking down his defenses and he isn't sure how much longer he can fight it. If he can't, he knows the truth will come out and she may hate him forever.

I loved finding out where the story was headed. The big ah-ha! moment where everything made sense was perfect. This won't be my last Harlow book and I recommend this one!

Ginger has been in love with Luther practically forever but for some reason it seems he can't stand to be around her. Unbeknownst to her, the only thing holding him back from Ginger is his iron will and a promise he made long ago. But Luther's resolve is weakening. He and Ginger are getting closer and closer until the only thing standing between them is the secret that is about to blow wide open, a secret she may never forgive him for.

Wow! Once again Ash Harlow has wrapped me up and held me captive with this steamy romantic drama. This is the third book with intermingled characters so I immediately felt a part of this little world in Waitapu. I felt very connected to the characters. Luther is a very dominant character but Ginger doesn't hold back from him. The steamy stuff is very hot and sensual. The story is intense and well-written with a beautiful epilogue. I loved this book.

When I read Crave and Luther was introduced as a secondary character, I just knew he had to have his own book. He just jumped off the page as such a forceful character so I was thrilled to see that the very talented Ash Harlow agreed! Clusterf*ck is such a powerful story. From the very beginning, you know there are secrets that Luther is hiding. Little by little, clues emerge that hint at what those secrets are. The attraction between Luther and Ginger is scorching hot and the steamy scenes are tastefully written.

But this isn't just a love story. It's a story about family, a story about acceptance, and a story about healing. This is a story that will pull at your emotions. You will cry as the secrets Luther has had to keep for five years are finally revealed. And you will cry again at the books emotional ending, but they'll be good tears.

This is the story of Luther and Virginia (Ginger). They have both been lusting after each other for years. But a secret and a promise made has kept them from being together. Until the night of both of their best friends wedding. where they are paired up as best man and bridesmaid. They finally hookup for a onenight stand. But that not how their story ends, that's just the beginning. Their story gets more complicated when a little girl comes to live with him and he asks Ginger to be his nanny until he can find some permanent. They get closer and develop more feelings for each other and push each others boundaries. Until it all comes crashing down, when a secret long buried comes to light...
I enjoyed reading this story by Ash Harlow and look forward to reading more in the future. I would recommend this book to friends.

Again....OMG this one is a brilliantly complex and emotional tale spun by Ash that you will want to read as you are transported back into the world of 'Crave' and we bear witness to Darcy and Oliver's wedding with Luther and Ginger, this books H and h, as wedding participants. Of course, things never run smooth in any of Ash's books and the love these two fight begins to blossom until several big revelations begin to unravel the easy relationship these two develop.

Will they have a HEA?

You REALLY need to read this book. Of course this is stand alone and can be enjoyed as such but you will love it so much more if you have read Crave and Stella Love which is currently also included in this release - it's a win, win for me!

There is Ginger who is the maid of honor for her best friend and then there is Luther who is best friend's with the groom and his best man. When the two end up hooking up the night of the wedding, Luther is adamant that it is only for the night. A night that was electric. When he needs help a little over a week later, he some explaining to do and wants Ginger to be his live-in nanny. Can they live under the same roof? Will it be more than one night? Will the attraction blossom into some hot steamy scenes? You will need to read the book to find out.

This is book is nothing short of amazing! As good as Crave was (and it was so good) I do think that Clusterf*ck is even better! It has so much content to it: humor, sizzling attraction and steamy scenes, drama and so, so much more. Characters that you will absolutely fall in love with, and root for them all the way thru until the end. I could go on and on, it was so good! Although you totally should read Crave, because it is just so good, you can still read Clusterf*ck as a standalone with a sweet HEA and not be disappointed at all!

Really enjoyed this book, got a little way into it and realised I should have read Crave first, so left this and went and read Crave and then realised part way through I should have started with Stellar! (Will read Stellar after this one) pity the books weren't marked as a series so you knew where to start as I only read this one because I had been sent the link in email, anyway back to the book, I really enjoyed it 😊 Sort of guessed the storyline after reading Crave but still loved it, was a little bit disappointed with the ending being very short, would've been perfect with another chapter but are we going to get Cole and Dec's books? 😉🤞🤞🤞 and then get a catch up on these first ones 😊

Luther has been attracted to Ginger for years, but has had to hold back due to a promise he made years ago. Virginia is trying to escape her mother's overbearing personality and trying to overcome her crush on Luther. One secret can tear them apart. Will Luther give into his attraction? Will Ginger run or accept the truth when the secret is revealed?

Definitely a steamy read. There were times when I wanted to ring Luther's neck with his back in forth, but started to understand and admire him as more of the truth was revealed. For being raised by her mother, I thought that Ginger was actually rather strong. You can't help your heart! Great book!

Interesting storyline

I really felt like I was late to the party and missed several chapters of the story. The book kind of jumped into the middle of a scene with Ginger and Luther already having known each other for years, but we were never given any of that history. Perhaps that was part of the previous books with recurring characters, but as this is a standalone, it just completely felt like content was missing. I rather liked the characters but in addition to feeling like something was missing, there was little to no backstory on any of them so it was hard to get to know them. The storyline was interesting however, and the writing was good.

Ginger and Luther have both been circling each other for years. The attraction is very intense but he keeps his distance. He also keeps secrets. The wedding of friends really draws them together and pushes all those buttons.

I enjoyed the story and the characters. The author really develops the characters and you keeps your interest with the surprises that you get as the story continues. While the characters were part of another book, it is really easy to jump into the story and fully enjoy it if you are new to them.

I voluntarily received an ARC for an honest review. I adored this book! Luther and Ginger have a very tempestuous relationship due to promises made by Luther. Regardless, Ginger has harbored a crush on him for years. They run in the same circles, so they see each other often. When circumstances in Luther's life change, he looks to Ginger for help. He moves her in to become his nanny. As they grow closer, secrets become harder to keep. Will it all fall apart? I loved Luther and Ginger's story. The title is appropriate to describe the book. Great writing, very steamy scenes. Very enjoyable.

I've never read an Ash Harlow book I didn't love and this is no exception! Ash weaves a story that keeps the reader captivated from start to finish. Luther and Ginger are well written, complex characters that I have never wanted to see together more. The story flows beautifully, you feel the passion these two have for one another, but also the pain from keeping those feeling tamped down. I love Ms. Harlow giving us a glimpse into the lives of characters from previous books, as well. Great job!!

Very well written story, that kept my interest through out the whole story. It had a nice steady pace to keep it going.
Luther and Ginger have great chemistry and they can heat up the pages. They characters were likable.
The secret gets revealed and I was like about time. I kept thinking bad things, and wanted to bop Luther over the head a couple of times.
I loved the story and hope to keep reading from the author.

have been waiting on Luther and Ginger since I read Crave!!! I was not disappointed at all. I loved him and Ginger. Ms. Harlow took his story and weaved a magical ride. This book is an awesome, awesome read!!! It is so emotionally complex, yet sweet and sexy. Ms. Harlow writes an exciting story, revealing secrets while at the same time creating a romance story rife with frustration, anticipation & heat. The banter between Luther & Ginger is entertaining, as well as their internal monologues.

This is the first Ash Harlow book I've read, and I definitely have to read some more.

Luther does like Ginger though, a lot but due to a secret he's kept he can't act on his feelings for her. When their best friend's get together there thrown together even more.
Luther finally gives into temptation but only for one night...... What could the fallout possibly be????
