When librarian Stevie Price goes out with some friends on New Year's Eve, she never expects to come home on the back of a motorcycle with four sexy demons who claim they're her new protectors. And she DEFINITELY doesn't expect to be hunted by a crazed she-devil named Luci who wants her dead. But she's not going down without a fight. Now, if she can just stop herself from falling in love with Damon, Lachlan, Matteo AND Rex? Maybe she's got a chance in hell of surviving this mess...
WARNING: This is book one in a two book series and ends in a cliffhanger to be resolved in Her Demon Harem, Book Two, due out October, 2017 and available for pre-order now!
Okey, first of all, the book wasn't bad, it was pretty okey actually. I'm just not sure it's my kind of book, because a lot of things simply did not do it for me.
So, while celebrating her 21st birthday, Stevie started feeling funny. She had this need she couldn't quite describe. She practically launched herself at some guy, kissing him until someone dragged her away. It was then she saw that the guy wasn't really moving anymore. And dragging her away from him was some bulky stranger, who promptly put her on the back of his friend's bike and drove her away.
The first part of the story was pretty intriguing, to say the least. I liked where things were heading, until the guys revealed the fucked up reality of Stivie's life that was called Luci. I absolutely do not understand that line. Why does this Luci behave the way she does? Who is she, anyway? And I did not like the lack of information given on the demon world. I like my details and I need the story to give me as many of those as possible. If not, then we're going to have a problem. Here I was completely blind. We were told some of the demons' powers, but not if there was some kind of a limit to them. And does this mean that they can all do the same thing? They said that Stivie has not yet came into her powers, but when is she supposed to and how can you tell? And, most importantly, what kinds of demons are the guys? Or is there only one kind? Why wasn't it explained! Also, everything happened so quickly in the story. Some things the characters made did not make sense to me. Like, Luci saw Stivie in a dream, so they need to immediately change her appearance. But can't Luci just visit her in a dream again and see how she looks? What's the point? I don't get it. And the ending did not work for me at all. Every decision made after Lucy's appearance at their home I consider a stupid one and don't even won't to mention any of them, because it's bound to make me worked up.
So, all in all, I think quite a few people may like the story. It was really okey. There were just too many things that either did not work for me, or made me bristle. I don't think I'll read the next one.
Luci has just found out that she isn't human. On top of that she has four protectors that are going to do everything they can to keep her from dying.
But that may come at a harder price then they all originally thought.
This book had a lot of potential. I liked almost the whole book. I thought it had good characters, and was a very interesting story.
But when it got to the end, I just got really frustrated with the direction the book took, and what happened. It felt like the guys gave her up and didn't really care much about her. It was beyond frustrating, and didn't make sense either.
So, I don't think I really liked this one overall, and I won't be reading more in this series.
I felt extremely betrayed by the Heros especially knowing what Luci spends her days doing - or I should say knowing "who" Luci spends her day doing.
I'll read book 2 till it's confirmed exactly what they were doing during the separation. If they've been feeding her sexually then peace, I'm out BUT if by some miracle they haven't crossed that line then I'll continue. However, I'm not optimistic 😐😕
I was so ecstatic that there are more books on this genre that just came out, but it seems like the new ones are not coming up on par with what was previously out there. I do make sure that I keep an open mind when reading these new books, but it really was just a meh book. I liked the concept of the plot and the world building. The character building was just okay for me. It fell into the 'everything is super and awesome' vibe or probably known as insta-connection. The main character just did not do it for me. When faced with an impending fight or trial, one would think that her main focus would be to improve herself. Unfortunately, she just did not rise up to the challenge and that brought the whole book down for me.
It was an okay read. I liked the aspect of the story it just didn’t follow through on the execution. I liked our main character Stevie enough. I felt that she took the news well just a little too fast. Hey you’re a succubus and we are your sexy demons protectors. Homegirl really didn’t ask too many questions.
I loved the guys, they were great! They were all different and the author made it easy to tell them apart. All of them had different personalities and it showed. My only question is where can I sign up to get four demon protectors of my own?
Some things I didn’t like about the books was that there were so many questions unanswered. How did Luci get to be the last succubus standing? What are all the powers that Stevie has? Why train so hard to teach her how to defend herself if you weren’t even going let that happen? I’m still trying to get some stuff figured out.
I felt that book went downhill towards the end. All the decisions she made were really irritating me. I don’t know if I want to read the next book because of her terrible decisions, hers and the guys. Overall it okay and very high on the smut scale.
This was a quick and easy read. It wasn't the most original but it was easy and fairly enjoyable.
The main character is Stevie, a normal shy girl who is going out on a night out for her birthday. When she comes into some strange powers she never knew she had, she finds out from the demon's who take her under their wing that she's a succubus. And that she's in trouble as there's someone who wants her boys even more than her.
The secondary characters are the four boys in her harem.
The storyline is not the most original but it doesn't really have to be as it is so easy to read. The pacing is good ending on a great cliffhanger. I look forward to reading the next book in the series when it is released.
Eh. Great world-building and overall world/story idea, but was lacking in areas other than it not feeling entirely cohesive. Also, I don't like cliffhangers, but I especially hated this one - don't know that I'll be reading the next book.
One of those thirst romances with some plot, I have no idea why I keep making myself read bad romances just to rate badly every single one of em, I guess I like it. The plot is not completely a trash bin, the process though, bad.
She is a succubus who came off age and four demon protectors come to her rescue because some crazy succubi queen or whatever annihilates every existing succubus. They dared to go on baby and love basics from the very first day, and the female character (Stevie) gets intimate with one of them during the first night of their stay in some sort of a safe house, in the pool. On the second day, guess what? she doesn't want to lose them.
Another thing that made it absolutely even more ridiculous is that those four demons were especially hand-picked for her to want them in a sexual way, because she needs to feed on their souls or spirits during intimate intercourse or whatever it is, isn't so well explained in the book anyway ( by who? no one knows, some succubus society we have no idea about), if that's not love then excuse me, I don't know what is and the funniest thing yet is that they are the strongest among demon protectors, they are the best protection demon detail and not only that but they have the same taste in women, and she happens to be of their taste, how many coincidences does that make ? I LOST COUNT!
Also, the ending, the four demons were absolute jerks and decided to go without a fight but I get it, they wanted to protect her so she goes and does the dumbest thing, she looks for a spell or whatever potion mind you that makes succubus on the dark web as if that's that easy and MAKES HER FRIEND A SUCCUBUS TO BEAT THE OTHER BAD SUCCUBUS; I am giving it 1 star for the writing and the minor references of harry potter, that's it!

If you are looking for a reverse harem that doesn't hold back, and gets right into the action then give this book a try. The world of Succubi and demons kept me completely absorbed in this book.
I felt like this book just zoomed right into the action. I hope that after this series we might get a spin off on Luci to see just exactly why she is the way she is. Why is it that she wants to rid the world of all other Succubi exactly? What drove Luci to become this way?
Stevie and her harem were so easy to fall in love with. Stevie is thrown into this whole new world and while being thrown into this world she has four completely supportive men that are willing to do whatever it takes to keep her alive and well. While these men will do anything for her they also prepare her for a lot of stuff coming her way, and train her to use her abilities in the process. If she doesn't learn how to use her abilities she may not be able to defeat the evil that comes her way. This book has equal parts of action and romance all in one, and in my opinion was totally worth reading.
While this book does kind of rush into Stevie's story it does leave room for possible spin offs so that we might find out other characters stories. I look forward to reading the conclusion of Stevie's and her harems story, and hope that her bestie also might get a story of her own.
I found this book completely satisfying and would recommend this book for readers 18 and up because of the paranormal romance aspects that involve some steamy scenes.
I was not sure what to expect when I first started reading this but I was mot prepared for the awesomeness that is this book
Stevie is a nerd who loves nothing better than a good book or an episode of Buffy the vampire slayer. Her 21at birthday and she is expecting to watch a Buffy marathon with her besties, but they have other ideas and take her to a club.
It is also New Year's Eve, at midnight a gorgeous guy follows her out to the garden in he hopes of having a midnight kiss, he gets more than he bargains for when it goes a it wrong
Stevie is then kidnapped by some big men on bikes and her world as she knows it will never be the same again.
With awesome characters and a great storyline I could not put the book down. There is action adventure suspense humour romance and a twist i did not see coming. I highly recommend this book and am waiting excitedly for book two
The first half of this story was seriously off the charts good. We got a lot of humor. There were actual friends/sidekicks, which this author doesn't normally do. The first encounter was the hottest she has ever written even though they didn't go well the way. My main complaint was the so tstl decision that she made and even more unbelievable that the guys let her do it. In what world does a succubus who has not yet reached her peak or can't even hurt a fly... literally, ever think to win against a 1,000 year d succubus? She obviously cared nothing for the guys to put them in that kind of danger. So this character suddenly became a selfish, stupid child in my mind and just ruined the second ha lf of the book. They could have gotten that same ending in another way, without ruining the main character. Easily actually. So yeah, pretty disappointed. It's worth reading if you can handle a tstl character.
I loved the idea of a geeky librarian turned succubus. That part of the story line was adorable and brilliant. Shy, awkward and doubting of her own sexuality and then thrown into a new life. My issues were with the ending.
Spoilers ahead: Self sacrifice? Really? These 4 yahoos who elected themselves her guardians are going to trust the queen of backstabbing to hold to her word? They abandon her, knowing her discomfort about her new lifestyle needs and leaving her with no one to protect her if queen hateful decides to do a takesbacksie on her less than stellar word. It wasn't romantic. Not to me. Yeah they trained her to fight but other than her bday she has never fed from a human before. And knowing how she feels about that they leave her anyways?
I had heard such good reviews from my book groups about this one so I had high hopes. I did enjoy most of the book. The ending felt rushed to me and then the very end cheesed me off. Maybe with Brie at her side the 2nd book will correct the issues I have. Because Brie is a no holds barred, mouthy chick who will give the guys the earful they need to hear in case our MC doesn't.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own. This was a very intriguing and interesting read. I wasn't feeling Stevie very much though. When faced with impending fight or flight situation I was expecting a little bit more from her. You would think that her main focus would be to improve herself unfortunately, she just didn't rise up to the challenge which was a huge disappointment. Even with all that I'm still looking forward to reading the next book in the series. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read.

Stevie got an unexpected present for her 21st birthday the discovery she is a succubus and now has four hot demon protectors. With a side kicker that the “Succubus Queen” wanted her dead and she would have to leave her home and her loved ones or risk them being killed. So with her new demon protectors, Lach, Matteo, Damon and Rex they head to their massive house to plot strategy and figure out how to outwit the Queen.
Stevie in her regular life is a librarian with a couple of close friends but pretty much living a low-key life style. Now she has four very hot men that have her body in hyper drive sexually. She is struggling with how to not appear so wanton with her body’s hyper aroused state with four willing hot men at her disposal. While trying to figure out how things work with four men she is also learning how to defend herself from an imminent attack.
Lach, Matteo, Damon and Rex are all super protective and very much eager to indulge themselves in Stevie’s sexual appetites and desires. They are a very close knit group of men, sharing the desire to protect their new charge as well as each other. They work seamlessly together and willingly train and educate Stevie to the new world that she has just discovered.
The writing style has a young feel to it. The characters while young had a certain level of maturity to them. One thing that was drug out a little long was the war that Stevie kept having about being with the four guys. It was explained to her as to why there were four and that they were all cool with sharing her she just kept belaboring it. She has to feed not just sexually from them but energy wise so the constant “how can I want all four of them” blah blah got a bit wearing after a bit.
The characters all meshed pretty well, some of the plot was a little loose. I mean she’s not even twenty-one and she has a house she’s living in by herself on a librarian’s salary? The author also would threw in some inane chatter at times when Stevie would break the fourth wall and had a convo with the audience. The flipping back and forth at times was a little too banterish. Her friends don’t take much convincing that there are supernatural things out in the world? There is also a computer nerd that surprise has access to the Dark Web and is able to get them info with a few keyboard clicks? If you remove the sex parts or kept them more superficial this could pass for a young teen reader book. The sex is the only thing that puts it into a more adult read. I gave it four stars mostly due to how well the guys interacted with each other and that Stevie had a back bone.
OMG! A very steamy paranormal romance with 4 take me home anytime protectors
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this story. It may only be the first part, but it was engaging, had a depth to the storyline and characters that is hardly ever found in a paranormal romance. I believe this is because the author focused on a limited amount of characters, so that by the end of the book, they all felt like friends (well all except Luci).
I tried to think of one thing I would change about the first part. The only thing that came to mind was more information / history on succubi and/or "Queen" Luci and why she was so intent to kill the herione. This may have added a little to the first part, but by keeping the detail minimal, it should really add to the second part. Also, it is stated in several places that the first part ends in a cliff hanger. While it doesn't end with a HEA, to me it felt like a very organic place to stop, so it became almost a chance to regroup, catch your breathe, for the herione to recoup or whatever she needs to before we start the second part.
Speaking of which, I need to warn you that I found this story grabbed me from the beginning. I had to continue reading as much as I could, no matter how much my back hurt, as soon as I was able, I found myself going right back to read some more. I would read the second part right now if I could, no matter how sad that sounds.
I also would consider this to be more of a steamy romance book, and not an erotic one. There is still some detail, but not what I expected with this being about succubi, just enough to demonstrate the emotion between the Hs and h, including chemistry and love. There is also adult language, violence, weapons, etc., so if any of these topics are offensive to you, then this may not be the right book for you.
I tried to be very careful and not provide any type of spoiler or twist. I hope that this helps you understand some of the elements found with the first part and that you enjoy this story as much as I did.
I volunteered to leave a honest review of an ARC received from the author and Booksprout.
Reverse Harem. About Time! The gals get all the guys. I love it! Yep, Stevie, quiet librarian, suddenly lays one on a guy she doesn't even like. What the heck? Some people think it's legal to drink when you turn 21. Stevie gets a whole other freedom. She's a succubus. Suddenly her kiss is broken by one of four motorcycle hotties who take her with them. She's about to learn a whole new definition for a demon and so are you. It's not all fun though. Along with the guys and all that means comes a nasty enemy. A whole new life with a whole lot of changes good and bad. Can she get through it? Who is stronger? I love who she goes to for help, however, you'll have to read it to find out. And it is a good one. This has another part and I need answers. I'm gonna be patient but I'm for sure gonna get the next one. Great price and fun read. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
Meet Stevie, newly succubus/ librarian. She goes out on New Years Eve aka her Bday and suddenly she is in trouble. 4 strange men come to her aid and tell her that she is not only a succubus and that her touch can kill humans but also that they are there to protect her and are her guardians. Meet the sexy demon boys, Damon, Matteo, Lachlan, and Rex. They are supposed to help Stevie by teaching her about her powers and keep her safe from the succubus queen. ****Spoiler alert**** the person they are protecting Stevie from is none other than the Queen Succubus aka her sister. After Stevie finally comes to terms with her new life and the men in it the drama happens and the book ends on a major cliff hanger.----
Recommend this book to anyone who loves reading RH and Paranormal. This book has few new twists that keep it different than your normal RH pnr and the steam is HOTTTT!!!
It's Stevie's 21st birthday and her friends are going to show her a good time even if it kills her... (And it just might) Stevie and her friends go out to celebrate her birthday and her life changes for... Well that is the question is it for the better? She has four men to love her and protect her. But she found out she is a succubus and some one by the name Luci wants to kill her... This quiet Librarians life is going to blow up!.. Now she is has to fight for her life...
I enjoyed this book.. warning this is and 2 book series with no HEA... But book 2 does... I have read mmf (ect) books were there is to much sex and not enough romance.. well this book has ROMANCE... It is well written, characters well defined... I would recommend this book to readers 18 and above... I mean come on read the cover it is self-explanatory... Lol...
So our heroine goes out for her birthday, almost kills someone by kissing them, wakes up looking completely different than she did the day before, and there are four large scary men in her house. But they're also hot, so it's totally cool you should run off with them and barely question it. Oh and since you believe that there is some crazy demon wanting to kill you, you should also totally relax and go skinny dipping with aforementioned guys.
This was just so over the top ridiculous. And yes I know it is a reverse harem story about demons, but the story still should flow and make sense. The heroine who's name I cannot recall is one of those "ok I've been aware of these events for 5 seconds so now I make the decisions and you all need to listen" and the guys are "oh my gosh you're so brave and not like any other girls we meet" . I just did not care for this at all.
I love fantasy & reverse harems but this book left me feeling like there’s plot holes.
And I have to say I was so disappointed in the writer for writing that when She came into her daemon sex powers (her physical appearance changed to make her the stereotypical ideal body, she got skinnier, more toned & her boobs grew!🤦♀️) I once read a book by a male author who did the exact same thing when the female protagonist came into her power and I switched to just female writers. To have a female writer feel like the female character couldn’t be a sex daemon without having bigger boobs just sets women back a few hundred years!
The guys are all sweet and sacrifice themselves for her safety but when she goes on the dark web to learn how to make someone like herself just seems to easy
A funny and sexy read. Stevie turns into a succubus on her 21st birthday and all of a sudden not only changes physically, but has 4 sexy demon protectors. Of course, the evil succubus queen doesn’t want any competition so Lach, Damon, Rex and Matty teach her the ways of how to be a succubus and how to protect herself. But before you can say avada kedavra, evil queen comes for Stevie and the guys she’s grown to love sacrifice themselves for her protection. Of course Stevie isn’t one to sit back and let some self proclaimed queen enslave her men. Stevie and friends are going all Harry Potter in the House to get her guys back.
I really tried with this one but there were just too many inconsistencies throughout the book; too many things did not make sense. I found myself skipping through way too much for a book that is less than 200 pages. You wake up to a house filled with men you think kidnapped you and you ask them “what are you doing here?” Honestly? 🙄 That first reaction right there says it all for me. I get that this is fantasy and all but that doesn’t mean the characters shouldn’t have any substance or in anyway be relatable. I doubt I would recommend this book to anyone; this just wasn’t my speed at all.
Let me get this straight... There is a succubus who has dibbed the entire world and kills every succubus on the planet. What?!? And what kind of succubus can guard/watch/oversee an entire planet? How can she get everywhere in any amount of time? How can she know when and where there are other succubi (succubuses?/succubusus?)?
Stevie the new succubus is sent protectors that she instantly wants to instantly mate/bond with because they are hot and sexy. Someone knew to send protectors to Stevie the moment she transitioned but no one bothered to let Stevie know about any of this ahead of time. There are a lot of plot holes with this book.
