To Catch a Prince

Rate this book
A power has risen in the lands, a dark shadow no one seems to understand. As the newest Enchantress, Talia knows her duty lies in finding it.
But she’s failed the bonds of blood once, looking away as her sister was continuously abused; she can’t leave while she can be of use to her. Especially since she may never come back.

Vincent, the playful, bashful Prince of the Dragon Realm, knows a thing or two about concealing a dark secret behind pretty smiles; he can tell the frighteningly powerful Talia is hiding something, and he fully intends to find out what.

Waiting with baited breath

I absolutely loved this book. I waited patiently for over six months to get it and I'm so sad ours over. I'm flabbergasted that book three isn't a sure thing. May please please finish the series I need to know what happens to elza and aleria. I'm waiting and hoping that you finish the series

Can be read as a standalone, but reading the previous book makes this more enjoyable.

To Catch a Prince is about Xandrie's sister, Talia.

Talia is a powerful enchantress, and her duty is to help people in need. But first she needs to find Xandrie in the kingdom of dragons and possibly save her if she is in trouble. If you've read the first book, then you'll know that Talia comes just in time.... for Xandrie's wedding with the dragon king.

This book follows Talia's journey on becoming an enchantress, and the new trouble that is brewing in their world. I'm a little disappointed because I was hoping for some big magical moment where she just blows up the enemies, but nothing like that happened. The romance was all good and fun, but it felt like the purpose of this book was just to setup the next story.

sneaky start to a story!

I thought that I had forgotten most of the first story ,as was reading the first chapters, before I realised this was the other sister from the last of the first stories ending! So now I was getting that these adventures were going on at the same time as Alexandria 's in the first story! then this story caught up with the first story,as she blew open the door during the wedding, where the first ended. Now we have all three sisters in the story as it continues with many twists and turns, finding the shadow of the first Enchantress, who is becoming increasingly tired of keeping her Light half in the world happy! she gives a great warning that has all of the Dragon people deciding on how to save there world or leaving it! many partner connections are made during this story and the background and past stories they share bring a lot of insight into the story!!! one of those that is hard to put down!

What an enjoyable read!
Each sister was even better here - we got to know them a lot better. Aleria and Talia surprised me with their personalities.
Vincent was also an interesting case.
Greatly enjoyed.

Still enjoyable, not focused on characters love though

The first book had to build the world and introduce the characters and this one picked up where the last left off. We get bits fondue last for our couple and see how they fall for each other. My big takeaway is that this was about building to the rest of the story and how this couple is going to help the rest of the realm in the next book. Did enjoy the banter between them and looking forward to the 3rd sister's book after To Take a Rogue.

Really enjoyed this book

I have waited patiently for the second book of this series and I'm very happy with the results. Getting to know more about Vincent who we meet in book one was a nice treat and meeting Talia the enchantress was very entertaining. We find out more about Xandries' family and how they all felt about each other. Very enjoyable read and can't wait for Demelza's story.

I love this series

This has family love, intrigue, a lusty dragon shifter, and a great set up for two more characters. I love the dragon bond.

Looking forward to more happy couples and the climax of how the world will end..or not.

The second in the series while it could be read as standalone I definitely recommend you read the first to get the full effect. This one was just as good as the first or even better if that’s possible!. Vincent has a sadder story which makes him question Talia at first. Definitely worth five starts the only thing now is im so ready for the next one!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an arc of this book.

NEED THE NEXT ONE

Any fantasy romance fan would love this book. Also any fan of wit, humor, and an amazing storyline would this book. Start from the first one and continue on to this one. It’s refreshing to see each book focus on a specific couple but continue the overarching storyline.

This book was leagues better than the first one.
The romance felt far more real, the action more defined, and honestly everything was better.
If you read the first one and weren't sure about continuing, DO IT. So so much better. I still have critics of course but it was ten times the writing of the first one.

This book focuses on Talia and Vincent and they are immediately much more interesting characters than Xandrie and Rhey. You will care so much more about everything happening in this book. The book also made me so much more interested in Aleria. She and Damion are who I desperately want to know more about.

I'm so proud that May Sage made so many improvements. I don't know if she spent more time on this book or had more editing done, but I'm impressed and feel excited to read the rest of this series.

I totally love this series

But you should read this series in order . To understand what is going on. This book is about Talia the sister who was sent to the big city to hone her craft of mage better. When she gets back she finds out what happened to her sister. Talks finds out that she is more powerful than she thought, she is a sorceress. Talia goes to find her sister (who is story is in book 1)She meets Vincent who also has problems of shifting , you will need to read the book for the reason. Any way there is something breaking the wards that were set many years ago keeping the lands safe. These wards keep out evil such as orcs. But get book first you can also get a sample of the books if unsure .

Amazing Book! MUST have

I read the entire book in one sitting. It was so captivating that I found it impossible to put down. The characters are well developed and brought to life brilliantly. I found myself enthralled by the vivid scenes and conflict between good and evil, though interestingly the good has shadow and evil is mixed with light. What will the outcome be....... I'm anxious to read the next installment and find out, as I'm sure the sentiment will be shared by anyone smart enough to read these incredible books!!

What a fantastic fantasy world!

The is book 2 in the series, and let me tell you, I'm captivated! I can't put the book down, the story and world is beautifully written where you think, see, feel and breath every written word! Great story line, great characters and when is it going to become a major motion picture? I can really see this story being made into a movie. It will put "Lord Of The Rings" to shame due to the sexiness portrayed here, the love scenes and passion are amazing! As you have probably already guessed, I highly recommend it!

More erotica than fantasy

I was so confused at the beginning of the book that I almost gave up. I think even if the author wanted the books to be standalone, she still assumed readers would read book one first. The plot of book one didn't attract me at all.
It was more of an erotica and as always these I don't expect the plot to make sense because all the characters care about is sex. This one was carefully crafted though. The book was enjoyable if you are not looking for fantasy but erotica.

I would recommend reading the previous book first otherwise things may be a bit confusing.

I did enjoy this book more than the first. It had more depth and development.

The whole series seems to be happening at the same time. Like the beginning of the next book kinda starts during the current book. The books are very connected and it will just make more sense if you read them in order.

Very curious about the third book so can't wait to start reading!

There was some spice but like the previous book it was very little maybe one or two short scenes.

No trigger warning i can think of🤔

This book was good. This is about Talia and Vincent. The story line was great and you can see where the series is going to go. Talia knows there is another enchantress who is not so good and she has to face her down. Vincent knows Talia is his mate, his dragon has come to life, but really has to do a lot to convince Talia to stay there with him. It moved along very nicely. Will look forward to another book in this series. Recommend.

Sisters, magic and romance.

Sisters - the ties that bind them are strengthened by their magical gifts. I devoured the first two books in this series and cannot wait for the next. The plots are interesting and imaginative. And, though a Fantasy genre, not too simplistic when dealing with romance. Happy ending but not necessarily for ever after - which makes me impatient for the next book! I will read everything May Sage writes!

This series is growing in me

I started this series with misgivings. Book 1 was a bit trite and I was not sure I wanted to read any more, but the story was a good one . This book is so much better and I hope the next will be another good one. I found that the characters were better articulated and I liked Vincent and Talia. But what is really holding me in the story is the intrigue in the shadows.

It was a cute book. It flowed well and was easy to read. The characters were engaging. The plot was pretty flimsy though, because not much really happened. Here’s this amazing one of a kind enchantress, and she didn’t DO anything significant practically the whole book (the beginning didn’t really count since it was in the previous book too). It definitely felt like just an ‘in between’ story in terms of the plot line - just a set up for books to come.

Love this series.

Love this series, can't wait till the next one. The story of three sisters, their forgotten heritage and their future purpose leaves you guessing and wanting more. My mind is whirling with possible scenarios, plots, and schemes. Eagerly awaiting the third installment to see where the sisters adventures will lead.

Okay

May Sage's book always move fast. They are on the border of a novel and a novella. Too long to be a novella, but too short to be a novel to a true book lover.

I did not like how she recapped from the previous book. I understand that she needed to tell the back story of the ,Ian character, but I believe it took up 40-50% of the book.

Love the Age of Gold Series

It is a five because I did not stop reading once I started. This story flowed. The chemistry between Talia and Vincent is fun and adds humor to this 2nd installment of the Age of Gold Series. Join in reading these books so May Sage will add more books to the series.

Great continuation!

This was a good story. Talia was a lot of fun and adorable; Vincent was cool and sweet. I appreciate how their stories went back a little further in the beginning and then caught up to where we left off in Book 1 *you should read before this one.
I look forward to reading book 3!

A Dragon and an Enchantress!✨😍🐲💘
A Little Off Topic?😕
To Catch a Princ: Age of Gold, Book 2

I found this storyline a bit too choppy. It arrived where it needed to, in the end, but I wasn't really to sure what the point of the journey was!😳 It's a shame as these were two exciting and powerful characters. What was unearthed was absolutely essential to the remaining story.💥🌟

More adventure and more calamity loomed ahead for the newly chosen Enchantress,
Talia Astria, and everyone in her world if the mysteries weren't solved soon and the Shadow spirit wasn't appeased to its satisfaction. This gripping story was fast paced with many exciting and terrifying development. Don't Miss It. Great Read!!!!!

After reading about Xandrie & Rhey in the first installment, I really didn't expect to like Talia as much as I did. I knew I will like her - I didn't expect to love her. but she is really super cool. Even Aleria is cooler in this book than the first one :-)

Dragons

I like how book 1 and book 2 connect. Interesting plot with good vs evil. The author continues to show the connection between the sisters and the dragons. Please continue with the story line about aether and shadow.
