Everyone just stop for one bleeping minute so we can all get real with each other. Being a mom is some tough $#!†. You're constantly wearing questionable substances that make you ask, "is this chocolate or ... oh, crap ..." and your purse is merely a receptacle for three-week-old snacks and broken crayons. Let's be honest ... even when we're doing this “mom” thing right, we're somehow doing it completely wrong. Pardon us while we dust off our collective Mother of the Year trophy and proudly present you with an epic anthology of #MOMFAILS. *Stories inspired by real life (unless you’re a cop, then it’s all complete fiction). Names and situations have been changed to protect the guilty (and by guilty, we mean the moms). Because motherhood is a battlefield and we're all just trying to survive by any means necessary. Featuring this amazing lineup: A.M. Willard, BL Berry, Brooklyn Taylor, Carina Adams, Claudia Burgoa, Crystal Burnette, Dylan Allen, Faith Andrews, Gia Riley, J.A. DeRouen, Kate Anslinger, Kennedy Ryan, Leddy Harper, LK Collins, Mariah Dietz, Marie James, Piper Rayne, Riann C. A group of 24 authors came together to produce an amusing collection of short stories inspired by real life situations about being mom, the things that can go wrong and the fun we have along the way. #MomFail
HOW SPOILED IS ROTTEN by Stephanie Rose is the story I was most looking forward to read. It's an insight into the aspirations of wanting to be a mom, the best mom ever, and how that can be tough at times. Things don't always turn out the way you think, the best-of-intended actions can give the wrong outcome, but actually, that's ok and sometimes you just need to laugh and this story made me smile with its ironies and relatable insight into the daily life of mommy and child.
This anthology of shorts is great when you need a little light something to read in-between longer novels and when you fancy an amusing look at the reality of life.
Advance copy provided for my honest review thoughts *
Anthologies aren't my thing yet when I saw the cover of this book and the title, I could not help but be curious. Nothing and I mean nothing can caught a reader's interest aside from romance, taboo.. etc...etc.. than a title with #MomFail in it. Let's face it, it's the reality and you know for a fact it will definitely interest you. It caught my attention and I'm not a mother yet so that's a plus and..... 24 awesome authors!! Holy-Freaking-Wow! Feels like I won in the sweepstakes!!
So, I had the honor of reading Return Policy by Leddy Harper. Gahd! This is that moment when I wanted to throw my reader not because I was soooo frustrated but because I want more! I feel like I was being teased BIG TIME! Good thing I can't afford another reader so I just shouted MORE instead of throwing it. This is another version of Leddy. Whoop! It's clear enough she had so much fun writing this short story and it's seeping through the pages, which in turn affects me in so many ways. I felt connected to it. I was laughing so hard I feel like I was nuts. It's hilarity was genuine and I feel like her heroine is me. I can relate to her and yet, I'm not a mother. Her character portrayal just felt so real and alive! Honestly, I can't think of ketchup and cookies without associating it with Return Policy!
A perfect short read! Just when I needed a good laugh, Return Policy came to my rescue!! Great job Leddy!!!
We all have those #Momfail moments in life where we'd like to turn back the clock or crawl in a hole and die. Embarrassing, pleasedontletthisbereal moments where you would give ANYTHING to erase what your children have heard, witnessed, or experienced.
Having just finished Your Mom Does What? by Faith Andrews, I swear I laughed and died if mortification at the same time.
Meet Jessa, romance writer extraordinaire, mom to two adorable daughters. Having a failed marriage behind her, she writes romance under a pen name and every day she struggles with her doubts--is she doing a good job as a parent? Is she making them happy?
I don't want to give away any details as this is a short, must-read story, but I will tell you this. Faith's humor and #Momfail story is sure to have you holding your sides and feeling her character's mortification as if you lived it yourself.
Such a fun, awesome story!! ------------- Just finished How Spoiled is Rotten? By Stephanie Rose and wow I remember those days LOL.
When you're a busy working mom, it's so easy to feel overworked and like you're never giving any task 100%. Pressures of being at every school function, making dinner, doing laundry--the chores never end. But making time for your son is your top priority. Fitting alone time with your spouse, not so much.
This is a hilarious tale of the ultimate embarrassing mom moment.
Stephanie threw in lots of humor and you'll experience many laugh out loud moments!!
Instead of reviewing each of these 24 hilariously laughable mom-coms included in the #MomFail anthology I am going to review it as a whole because there wasn't a single dull moment in the entire book. Each story was uniquely original and mapped out some of the funniest experiences in a Mother's day to day life.
Even though I am a twenty-two year old single woman with no children of my own I couldn't help but find each one of these stories relatable. Whether you are a mother or not you will love each of these stories!
#MomFail is an amazing anthology of short stories featuring 24 authors and I was lucky enough to read How Spoiled is Rotten by Stephanie Rose.
This short story was heartfelt, 1 million percent relatable, and freaking hilarious! Seriously, I'm convinced that the author and I are living parallel lives on different coasts. She perfectly described so many of the emotions and challenges parents face in the day to day game of parenthood survival. Are we being sensitive to our children's needs? Are we giving in more than we should? How do we balance work and parenthood? How do we make time to nurture the relationship with our spouse? These are ALL questions I have (and continue to) ask on my parenting journey. I loved the overall message of Stephanie's story. It reminded me that we don't need to win any parenting awards or get showered with accolades for our perfection. We simply need to love with our whole heart.
*I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*
I am not going to review a certain author and such from this this anthology. Because I loved this anthology as a whole. Each story in this book is hilarious..
My favorite line out of this whole book is "You are going to hell on a short bus." I literally died laughing with each and every story. This is the best anthology I have ever read.
#MomFail is an anthology of 24 stories from different authors. Each story is a short quick read. I was even able to read one whole story while playing hide and seek before I was found. With anthologies I usually skip around and most of the time I don't read all of the stories. With this one I read it front to back and loved it. There are some stories that will have you laughing and some that will have to cringing. It reminded me that we are not perfect and that's ok. There were definitely a couple stories that I could related a bit to and I was like shoot I did that, I guess I'm not alone. I loved this whole anthology but if I had to pick a favorite it would What's That Smell? by Shari J Ryan.
This review is for A Day in my Chaotic Life by Claudia Burgoa. Sometimes life is just out of control. It's not all is cracked up to be. It's a mess. It's a hundred kids running around and losing track of everything! In this short and funny story we see what's it's like to be a mom amid the chaos and that sometimes it gets to be crazy! And we forget things. But in the end it's ok. And all we need is just a little laugh about it!
This review is for How Spoiled is Rotten by Stephanie Rose. Kids, they have a way of getting us to do pretty much anything they want.... putting out that bottom lip and making it tremble and definitely making us feel guilty. But guess what, who cares? They may embarrass you at school with a paper or never let you get down and dirty anymore. But st the end of the day you're a mom and you love your little guy or girl. And that's all that matters! ❤️
This review is for Afternoon Delight by BL Berry. Life as you know it is over when kids arrive. The deed is planned, interrupted, and interrupted again. But it's life and it's fun and funny. At the end of the day you are mom and dad. You'll get your adult time. But it's hilarious and fun to hang out with your kiddos! And to see what adventures they themselves can get into while your in the laundry room!
This review is for The Professor and the Doofus by J.A. Derouen. Oh goodness!!! The professor and company! Gotta love it! I laughed out loud while reading! And learned some things too! Like how to never cut fingernails too short! But through it all, something I've learned with each story. You're a mom and you love your kid. At the end of the day that's all that matters! And the professor and his mom definitely have it right!
This review is for Your Mom Does What? By Faith Andrews. Ohhhh goodness!!! Talk about a good laugh. Poor Julie and poor Jessa!! But hilarious none the same! And even with the bit story we have some humor between Lila and Julie too! Short, funny, and a hole lotta steamy with some LOL moments!! It may be cringeworthy in places but it definitely put a smile on my face!
This review is for Battery Operated by Stephie Walls. Ok I'm not going to lie, reading the title I thought this was going in a waaaayyyy different direction!!! But then I literally laughed out loud when we met Roley!! That dang animal! I tell you! I couldn't stop laughing while enjoying watching mom and daughter interact with this stuffed toy. Just, so funny! I didn't want it to end!
I received a copy in exchange of reviewing how spoiled is rotten and you know what?
These short mom stories are simply hilarious!! I've never laughed so much in my life honestly! I wished they were longer because reading about them, it's simply amazing!
It's a laugh a minute, totally relatable Mommy Diaries. The fact that they're based on some true events makes it even more funnier. The daily tasks and struggles that mommies face is so truthfully recounted. There's stories of every kind, from boob milking to annoying toy gifts, to accidentally stealing a child to diaper disaster to cock blocking kids and kids stealing sex toys. It's a hilarious pot poured of Mommies Funniest Home Stories ! I LOVED and laughed out loud throughout Makes me feel like im an Imperfectly Perfect mom. Kids don't come with a manual and Parenting is hard !! children, while being absolutely adorable and funny, are really little Assholes underneath it all. And frankly, I'm kissed that nobody warned me about them Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Let's us moms not be so harsh on ourselves and be judgemental I figured , as long as I didn't raise him to be a judgemental, hypocritical asshole, then I could call this whole mom thing a success So 24 cheers to awesome Moms , ALL round the world. 5 Gigglesnort Stars #BookBistroBlogApproved Follow us on FB - https://www.facebook.com/groups/BookB... I read three stories from this book and let me tell you they were absolutely hilarious, I'm still laughing.
First up is Faith Andrews " Your mom does what? " Oh man Faith is a comedic genius, I had tears rolling down my face reading Jessa, Lila and Julie's short mom fail. While the story is short the comedy and emotions are full. Jessa's busy hectic life as a single divorcee mom of two leads to some embarrassingly hilarious mistakes that you don't want to miss.
Next up is BL Berry's Afternoon Delight This! This story is every parents real life story, it happens to us all with even just one child, add in triplets and parents trying to get some one on one action and it turns into laugh out loud funny. I loved these characters and can't wait to see more of them in Birthquake!
Last but not least is Stephanie Rose's How spoiled is rotten? While this story had lots of funny moments it also had the biggest emotion that parents feel and its GUILT.. parenting is never easy but the guilt tends to eat us alive and makes us give in to things we swear we wouldn't.. this story shows both sides of the table and makes you feel the hard truths of parenting. Definitely a full of emotion short read but still with laughs.

Review of I win by Dylan Allen.
It was a short, fun, light summer read. Even though I never been married or have any kids, I could still relate to the character in the story. I think the things the author went through could happen to me because I would handle certain things the same way. I also loved the "I don't care" attitude. There will always be people judging and at a certain time in your life you need to put those opinions aside. I think Dylan Allen has many funny stories to tell, and I am really curious to what else she has been through. I can't wait to read the other short stories in #MomFail.
This book is hilarious. I was afraid I was going to wake up the baby laughing. Definitely a good book. As a mom of 2 I could relate to a few of the momfails.
Alright. I laughed. Like really hard. This mother of three is me - only i have one daughter and my sister has no children yet. But i know lack of sleep. Coffee dependence. Forgetting where the basic of things are. And the permanent bruising on my forehead from the constant face palms after witnessing the countless cringe worthy things my daughter does that i'm afraid to find out if i did the same to my parents at her age. Having only read A Day In My Chaotic Life by CLaudia Burgoa from the #MOM Fail Anthology, i can only imagine what the rest of the short stories look like and i look forward to finding out!
OMG!!! I really enjoyed reading these little stories.
Have you ever needed reassurance that what you are doing or have done as a mom is totally acceptable in today's world? Need that little boost in your stressed out life that what you are doing, isnt the first time some Mom has done exactly what you are going through? Like that time you gave medicine to your children so you can make the 10 hour road trip with out blowing a gasket, been at the playground when your little one comes up and tells you some little boy just told you to take your panties off and she did, ever had your little one overhear your huband and you talking about the great time it was last night as your husband took you in a new position...To then have your child repeat that Daddy had a hard C*ck... Then to have your little one come up to you and wipe their boogers all over your nice new shirt...
These stories are EPIC! They had me laughing out loud so much. What a great bunch of quick fun reads!!!
5Stars! Comic gold! Hilarious laugh out loud funny MomCom! This is my reality people and I'm so glad I'm not alone! This short story is just perfect from beginning to end with some true life details and one heart stopping moment of panic....it's the perfect storm for an epic #MomFail moment!
Review for Sex Weeks by Piper Rayne
Another 5Star review! Another hilarious and laugh out loud funny MomCom! The stories couldn't be more different but the theme is perfection! I can't get enough, it's like seriously bits and pieces of my life in these pages but it's so much more funny when it's happening to someone else! I don't feel like such a #MomFail myself when reading because we've all been there and done that to one degree or another...The desperation, embarassment, moments of feeling lost, followed by love, laughter, and self preservation are felt by all! I loved it!
Review for Battery Operated by Stephie Walls
5 Stars of spectacular! You have no idea the empathy I feel for this story! I've totally been there and done that...I died laughing over this #MomFail and the guilt and desperation and extreme lengths we are willing to suffer through to keep our sanity...so glad I'm not alone!
Review for Sweary Mom by Carina Adams
Again 5 Stars! Pure entertainment! I have come to the realization that I am Sweary Mom! This one had me snorting in laughter and recalling my own moments of epic #MomFail moments with cussing! So funny and so easily imagined as if I was experiencing it...I love everything about this anthology!
How Spoiled is Rotten by Stephanie Rose- Hahaha, The end made me bust a laugh. It makes you think... the darnedest things kids will say. It just funny how differently kids take view on things... or more like how completely right they are. ;)
The Professor and the Doofus by JA Derouen- A hilarious laugh out loud mom tale. The professor sounds like an amazing kid who definitely lives up to his name. Its crazy how real life this is and how much I myself can relate to it.
Your Mom Does What? by Faith Andrews- Ahh, I absolutely adored this one, I loved how Faith twisted into an actual little romance like story. Another funny tale but I'm sure embarrassing as all get out for both. Sometimes we wonder if something like this really will scar our kid for life. Loved it.
I haven't read all the stories, so I will not write a full review. I expected a few more fiction stories. But a few really made me laugh out loud. They are just a little too short to keep me engaged. I think if I were a new mom I really would have loved it more, I read mom-coms like crazy then.
Oh my!!! These stories were hilarious but being a mom myself I've had these moments myself. Looking back on them all I can do is laugh. These stories are amazing and I'm glad these authors shared their stories with everyone
This review is for Disconnected by Teresa Michaels. I absolutely loved this short and cute, snort-giggle inducing story! I could easily imagine just about everything that happened in this story happening to me. So relatable! I adored this story and I can't wait to read the others!
Originally I was going to review each author's short story individually but realized that would make my review extremely long so I will just highlight a few but please know that I enjoyed every story contributed to this anthology.
BL Berry's Afternoon Delight ~ I woke up to find this gem on my kindle early this morning and had to dive right in, even before having that all important first cup of coffee I need to face the day. I didn't think it was possible to laugh so hard so early in the morning, or to nod my head in agreement with Tara's early musings. As my head wanted to explode from the 2 and a half glasses of wine remnants from last night I found myself foregoing the Advil and getting down on my knees praising Ms. Berry for putting all my thoughts on paper (screen?) on how hard it is to get some loving after children enter our lives. Thank you for getting my day off to a great start! Stephanie Rose's How Spoiled is Rotten? ~ Stephanie hit the nail on the head with this story! My son hasn't even started kindergarten yet and I'm getting the phone calls to volunteer for this or man the table for that. The #momguilt is already strong and I know that I tend to spoil my son with small toys, sometimes for my own benefit of quietness, others just because I can't resist his dimples! Faith Andrews' Your Mom Does What? ~ Talk about a laugh a minute! This story was had me cracking up and pitying Jessa as she dealt with a preteen and a "spicy" flashdrive. J.A. Derouen's The Professor and the Doofus ~ O.M.G. This story was so good. It was great how even when we try our best to care for our children we can still fail or mess up. This story also reminded me that when we do mess up our babies still look up to us, and remind us that even though we're not perfect to them we are everything. There's so much we teach our children but they tend to teach us even more.
"For the Moms with stains on their clothes, puke in their hair, and love in their hearts...this one is for you."
With a dedication like that, what mom wouldn't WANT to read this? Of course with this being an anthology, I'm gonna do my review a little different. I will post a little something about each story. I honestly can't wait to see what these mom's have to say. I can't wait to see, if they are just as much of a hot mess as I am. :)
Watch Me Tip- I hate to say, something along these lines has happened to me too. It was definitely funny, not at the time of course. Lol
Okayest Mom Ever- Pahahaha!! All of that was just awesome!
What's That Smell?- I've never had to fly, much less with a baby, so I don't know how this would be. But oh man was it one stinky situation.
Afternoon Delight- "Miles...I am your father!" Kmsl!! Oh my goodness, I would of died!!
Return Policy- Oh my holy hell!! "the return policy was unclear in regards to toddlers.” I just couldn't with this one.
The Professor and the Doofus- I love hearing the stories of the Professor and his antics. I can always count on him and his mother to make me laugh.
A Day in My Chaotic Life- Holy hell that was crazy! I probably would of wanted to smoke a joint for the first time, if that was my life.
I Win- hahaha! "Nobody died, right?"
Battery Operated- "I was going to hell...with my sister...on the short bus without wine." Oh my word!!! Super funny when it's others, but absolute hell when it's you.
Your Mom Does What?- "My kids never come out the way I sent them in- runway models at seven in the morning, escaped convicts by three." So fricking funny!
Want a Hug?- Every parents worst fear. At least I know it's one of mine. Haha
Rock Bottom- "For years, I gave it my all, but I've long since waved a white flag surrendering to the fact that a perfect mother is the equivalent of finding a unicorn." A-FRICKING-MEN! This one had tears rolling down my face because I was laughing so hard.
Sugar, Honey, & Iced Tea- I think I found my new favorite thing to say. And I won't have to feel bad about it either. ;)
Sex Weeks- Those six weeks were the longest. In all honesty I wouldn't know, because I didn't wait. Lol Just like I don't know what it's like to be a step-mom. But Lord was that pure craziness.
Road Trip- Oh-my-lanta! Not only #MomFail #TechnologyFail
How Spoiled is Rotten?- Awe...super sweet and super true. As long as your children know you love them, it doesn't matter how many times you mess up.
#ThrowbackThursday- Ok, well now I want more. I want to know what happens next. Where did things go? Did they go anywheres? And total props for the LuLaRoe, I love them! And I want to be this mom, I thought she was cool! Haha
Sweary Mom- Holy fudging crap!!! That was funny as H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS!!!
Disconnected- "We need to celebrate the chaos, not let it take us over." And a whole bunch of chaos in one darn day. Lol
Seven's a Crowd- Well OK then. I would of lost my mind!
Just Another Day at the Park- Just saying...OH H-E-L-L NAH!!! I would beat me a kid.
Flight to Hell- KMFSL!! OH MY GOODNESS!! THAT WAS AWESOME!! Wait, I'm sorry I didn't mean to laugh. Oh wait, yeah I did. Even though it was horrible and I probably would of killed someone, it was still fricking hilarious!
Winging It- This!!! This is my life. Except no boys, and the husband is home.
I laughed, I cried because I was laughing so much, I cringed, and I felt bad, but above all, I felt relief. I am so glad I'm not the only one who loses my shiznit daily. Who raises her voice. Who wants to both beat and love on her kids. And who wouldn't trade it or the little terrorists we call our kids, in for anything. Our love for the little buggers far out weigh the bad. Thank goodness for that! As a mother of four girls, I don't know how I do it some days, but we make do.
This is definitely a book to make the mama's feel better. To make them laugh and realize, they are not alone.
Watch Me Tip by AM Willard 4 out of 5 stars I could relate to several things in this laugh out loud story. I've definitely been there with the car seat tip over. It's the most horrifying thing in the world while it is happening and you feel like the worst mom ever, but you can't help but laugh as you look back on it (years) later. I've also been there with the leaky boobs in the middle of the store because there is a crying baby nearby. So embarrassing!
Okayest Mom Ever by Gia Riley 4 out of 5 stars Okay, so I will admit that Hunter's reaction to MomFail#3 would have most definitely been the same reaction that my husband would have. Ugh. Men! Right? haha This is something else that you just can't help but laugh when looking back on it.
Afternoon Delight by BL Berry 5 out of 5 stars I could totally relate to Tara and Cameron with trying to plan alone time together. That's such a hard thing to do when you have small kids and it doesn't really get any easier as they get older either. I'm looking forward to meeting Henley and Jeff in Birthquake! This is sure to be a laugh out loud book, just like this story was.
Return Policy by Leddy Harper 4 out of 5 stars Oh my goodness, this story was absolutely hilarious! I've totally been there with the walking through the store or other public place with a questionable substance on your clothes. The situation the mom in this story ended up in would have been so scary but funny at the same time! I couldn't even imagine.
The Professor and the Doofus by JA DeRouen 5 out of 5 stars I really loved this story. I totally agree with the fact that our children are the professors and we are the students. We have absolutely no idea what we're doing as we go into this parenting thing, but our kids teach us along the way. ;) Also, great and heart-warming lesson by the Professor! I just want to be me, too.
Your Mom Does What? by Faith Andrews 5 out of 5 stars Oh my goodness, I laughed so hard while reading this story. It was absolutely hilarious. Jessa found herself in an absolutely humiliating situation but at least it all turned out okay in the end. ;) Oh, and I completely agree...bribery works every single time!
How Spoiled is Rotten? by Stephanie Rose 5 out of 5 stars I loved this story so much! It's just a reminder that no matter how much we feel like we are failing at this parenting thing, the one thing (and the most important thing) that we are all doing right is that we love our kids with all our heart and just want what's best for them! <3
Title: #MomFail Author: various Genre: comedy Overall rating: 3/5
Although the idea for this was pretty strong and immediately gripped me, I actually found reading it a little bit of a slog. The best was, by far, Shari J. Ryan's What's That Smell?, which tickled me to the core and made my afternoon covert reading at the office somewhat challenging. Other highlights included Piper Rayne, Teresa Michaels and T.L. Swan, but the others, for me, just faded into the background a little.
As with any anthology, it's great to find a handful of new authors you've never come across before, and to have the opportunity to read some of their work before diving into a full-length release.
Where this anthology went wrong is its decision to use so many authors, and such a limited word count. The authors could have been halved and the word limit doubled, and I would have enjoyed this so much more, the ability to have actual stories woven rather than little snapshots, which often felt like they were trying a little too hard to be funny. Similarly, they tended to cover the same subject matter (there's only so many times one can lament the loss of their sex life, or giggle over a chance encounter interrupted by a sprog, without it getting a little same-y).
A great premise which unfortunately doesn't live up to its potential.
I had the pleasure of Beta reading Disconnected by Teresa Michaels, a short story which is in this anthology. It is a very fast read and very funny. Most of it I spent picturing myself because the situations are very realistic in the typical moms life. Needing to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, this mom takes her husband and sons on a vacation where no interference from the outside world is allowed. This makes for a very relaxing time but was is worth it when she discovers all she missed ??? I can't wait to read the other stories and recommend it for everyone who likes to laugh, not just moms.
I reviewed both Afternoon Delight by BL Berry and The Professor and the Doofus by JA Derouen. 100% relatable stories for all moms or anyone who's been with children often, plus laughs, because if you can't laugh at yourself every once in a while then you're doing life wrong.
In Afternoon Delight we attempt the quickie...you know, that 5 min window when you try to connect with your significant other only to have it fail and fail miserably?
In The Professor and the Doofus we get advice through life lessons and ultimately acceptance that this is me and I'm just gonna love you the best I can...even if I cut your nails too short ;)
All in all it's always nice to know none of us are perfect and yes, it's likely someone has done something as dumb as you have and guess what, our kids survived :)
Title: #MomFail Author: Various Authors Genre: Humor, Real Life, Comedy Series or Standalone: Standalone Anthology Rating: ★★★★★
Review
This book was, and is, the best choice I’ve made this summer! It was just what I needed with the lull I’ve had of late when it comes to reading romances of any kind.
It’s also a book that I can’t say enough, deserves to be seen and read by the moms of the world. All the mom’s. I guarantee that at some point throughout this wonderfully funny anthology, you are going to see yourself, or some other mom you know, in the pages. You’re going to find at least one story here where the laughter just flows and you’ve got absolutely no control over it.
I thought about reviewing each story here as I read them but honestly, I couldn’t find one story I found issue with or I skimmed over, so therefore, they’re all getting the same five-star treatment here.
So many times, we as mothers, for one reason or another feel as though we’re going about things in this motherhood journey all wrong. We feel alone. Lost at sea without a preserver, and this book, and the authors in it, remind us that guess what? We aren’t alone. All good mothers drop the ball and “screw up” or even for the sake of the book title, “fail” and it doesn’t make us any less of the awesome women and mothers that we are.
So, if you’re looking for a book that celebrates motherhood just as much as it does our ability to be human, with a tremendous number of laughs along the way, pick this up.
I’m hoping that you like me, won’t regret it.
Fantastic work ladies! Hope to see more of these in the future!
My thanks to the author and all others involved in letting me read an ARC of this story before official release.
I had the pleasure of reading a preview of the upcoming release called #MOMFAIL (24 authors of 24 mom-com stories) when I received an advanced copy of Road Trip by LL Collins. Road Trip is a quick read about a mom - 3 boys - bluetooth - and melatonin. My favorite line is "I'd teach them to be responsible later. Suck it, Sanctimommies." If this short story is an indication of the level of stories that will be in this anthology, we are in for a hilarious treat. I cannot wait.
An amazing collection of stories by extremely talented authors. A lot of these authors are new to me, and I will update this review as I read more.
This review is for Road Trip by LL Collins - it was freaking hilarious and so relatable. Hey, admit it....we have all done things to our kids to benefit ourselves; so if that makes us failures as parents - so be it!!!!
Thank you Ms. Collins for putting this story out there and helping us feel better about our "transgressions" as parents!!!!!!!
