Thanks to a new backer, Heather and her family have decided to move to Key West, Florida, to open another Donut Delights shop. Unfortunately, another murder in there town may put a stop to their new plans. If they do move, will they be able to finally get the goods on an old nemesis before they leave town? This book has left me excitedly awaiting the next book in the series to see how everything plays out.

This book is a quick read with good twists but editing and proofing are still an issue.. Heather, Amy & Ryan must determine if the new business partner, Rudolph Rodney, is a killer as the evidence indicates. Are the Shepards moving or have the plans been adverted. Read to find out. Looking forward to the next installment. I was provided a copy of this book and the opinions are my own.
Well, Rudolph Rodney is some hot water in this book. That always spells trouble when Heather is looking to enter into business with the man. There is one thing, however, I'm not sure hoe she's going to expand with a new investor while already having one. I guess it could be set up as a different legal entity... I'm not a business person so I'm not sure how that would work.
I did enjoy the book, up until Lyle was part of it again, but then again we can't seem to get rid of Lyle Clarke, even though Kate seems to have disappeared. I want Clarke to either be stuck in jail by the time Heather moves or never spoken about again.
I did enjoyed Amy much more in this book than the previous book. She seems to have finally understood what is going on. Heather is a business woman and she has to do what is best for the business.
Heather Shepherd, owner of Donut Delights and certified private investigator and her family are moving forward on plans to open a second Donut Delights in Key West, Florida. But then the chief investor behind the second store Rudolph Rodney is accused of murdering a waitress. Was Heather wrong in her trusting this man? Rudolph proclaims innocence. Now Detective Ryan along with the two private investigators, Heather and Amy must prove him guilty or innocent. Another innovative plot written by the author. The donut of the week is the Peach Cobler donut. This is book # 57 in the Donut Hole Mystery series. It can be read as a stand alone. An enjoyable read!!! I volunteered to read Peach Cobler Murder. Thanks to the author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.
Peach Cobler Murder is the 57th installment in Susan Gillard’s Donut Hole Cozy Mystery series and is a quick, easy, fun, and clean read but editing and proofing are still an issue.
When a local waitress, Mindy Montrose, is found murdered in her home, all the evidence points to Rudolph Rodney. This case is extremely troublesome for Heather because Rudolph is the investor who wants her to open a second Donut Delights in Key West, Florida.

So in book 57 it looks like Heather, Ryan, and Lilly are preparing to move to Key West. But before they go they have to solve one last case and this time it could derail their move to Florida. Reading this book was kind of slow for me but then there are so many twists and turns and once again decide story, that included Roadkill Rodney. However at the end of the book you kind of had a cliffhanger that had to do with one of our private investigators.
I'm not sure if this is the last book in The Donut Hole series but it was definitely one of the better books I have read in a long time.
While preparing for a big move and expanding the business, Heather, Ryan, and Amy find themselves investigating another murder. This time the prime suspect is Heather's new investor. Could the Shepherd's future plans be in jeopardy?
With every new story, Susan Gillard gives her readers a clean, quick and entertaining read. I look forward to a new chapter in Heather's life.
I requested and received an Advance Reader Copy of this book. My review is voluntary and the opinions my own.
Heather and her family is getting ready to move Key West but unfortunately her backer and is now accused of murder. This book has a lot of twists and turns and it's fun to figure out who actually was the murder. The characters are still wonderful to read about and I surely will continue to read the Author's books.
One of my all time favorite series. Love reading about Heather, Ryan, Lil's, Aimee, and the rest of the gang. I cannot wait to find out what's in store for them and their future.
Another great read by Susan Gillard. I love being able to follow Heather, Ryan, Lilly and the gang through their life. I am anxious and worried about the move of the characters but I am ready for the change.
Once a gain Susan Gillard has given her readers an excellent read that involves lies, murder, humor, and some good times with her familiar, friends , and, of course, donuts! Looking forward to the next installment of Donut hole cozy mysteries.
Once again I have enjoyed how even when it was decided to go to Florida, it still might have all fell apart. Then maybe others are going to Florida well I will just have to wait for the next delicious donut
Heather has told her staff about her move to Key West to open another Donut Delights. A waitress in town is murdered and Rudolph Rodney has been arrested for the crime. Did he really kill someone!? Guess Heather won't be moving as her investor is not to be trusted and in jail! Another fun, fast paced story to keep you guessing.
