New school, new town; it was nothing new to Luna. Her senior year showed promise, until she discovered that a part of her past, long forgotten, waited in River Falls. She should have left her past alone, but the nightmares wouldn’t stop, and they were starting to appear when she was awake. On the run from her walking nightmare, Luna realizes that the grove of fireflies behind her house carried a secret darker than her shrouded past, leading her into a labyrinth of deadly creatures with no end in sight and only her new friend Lucas to guide her. Her one hope for salvation was the city on the other side.

It was way too slow and extremely repetitive, the only thing that kept me reading was the overall idea of the plot. There were multiple spelling mistakes and punctuation errors throughout. Not to mention the little to no detail regarding the biggest ideas in the book. I would only read the second one to figure out why half of what happened took place. However I don’t think I could get through another due to the repetitive nature (it was extremely annoying reading virtually the same sentence over and over again in multiple different situations). Overall this book left me very confused and upset as I was excited to know some of the backstory. The second star is for the overall idea as it’s cool but could’ve been executed in a much better way.
