Well now… I think I loved it!

Ryan and Daniel have always shared quite the unconventional relationship—which, at this point, they still haven’t really defined as a “relationship,” but rather, more a BDSM-fuelled, mutually beneficial arrangement—yet, I was still seriously hesitant at the idea of them spending the night with a third, and what that would mean for them as a couple who clearly feel a lot more for each other than they’ve verbally acknowledged… yet.

Here, in this eighth instalment, Daniel has a naughty fantasy he’s dying to play out, where Ryan shares him for a night with a stranger. Understandably, he’s nervous about bringing it up, mostly because he feels guilty, because he knows if the roles were reversed and Ryan asked for the same thing, Daniel would be hurt and jealous and feel like he wasn’t enough.

But, as we all know at this point, months into their relationship-arrangement, Ryan is an open-minded guy and a bit of a kinky bastard, who often seems to know more about what Daniel wants and needs than Daniel knows himself. So, it comes as no surprise to anyone (but Daniel, apparently) that Ryan is fucking down with this idea—which is really more about showing Daniel off and wrecking him deliciously, under Ryan’s heated gaze and controlled command.

Turns out voyeurism and objectification get Daniel hot, and what gets Daniel hot gets Ryan hot. And, so, Ryan orchestrates an evening, away from home, with a “stranger” that will blow Daniel’s mind and satisfy all of their mutual desires.

Usually, when author’s add a third to established couple romances, I majorly baulk. I’m not a fan of reading about couples who add a third, whether permanently or for the night, and that’s just a personal preference in my romance reading. But Eradani made this work for me in only the way a select few authors have managed in recent years, providing context and understanding, and developing these characters so well by this point, that this extension of their “scenes” together felt not only natural but inevitable.

It also helped that in a few scant pages, she also endeared me to this random stranger—in a way, allowing us, the readers, to experience the steamy dalliance through his experience as an outsider looking in. He understood very quickly how intense Ryan and Daniel’s connection was and he understood his temporary role in this dynamic; no lines were crossed, that I often fear will be crossed in scenes of this nature, and instead, I was able to enjoy the scene like Daniel did—in awe and in rapture, and not overthinking a single thing and just enjoying it for what it was.

In truth, I stalled this serial for FOUR YEARS because I was internally dreading this instalment. But now I’m here and now I’ve read it, it was way too hot to hate, and it didn’t, in the moment, feel wrong in any way for this couple and their particular dynamic, which I find myself enjoying more and more.

5 stars and much more Caught in between Tamryn Eradani

Ryan is so highly aware of Daniel's needs is just overwhelming. It seems he knows more about his needs than Daniel himself...
And he knows just why Daniel wants certain things....he wants it for Ryan and them only. Carefully Daniel's boundaries are moved.....at the right pace...
I can't explain how happy I am with both men and their growing feelings.
Daniel is already lovable but Ryan....God I just adore him. He is the anchor in this picture he is the one to light the pressure in the room. He is the sunshine and the center in Daniel's (and my) life...when I read of Ryan in combination with the word 'fond' my heart starts racing and my eyes blurry...

It's all written in an amazingly captivating way.....all very dedicated, full of compassion, sensitive and seducing and also rational....all this together brings it for me on an empathically high level that it's a breathe of totally contentment.....
It's good from every angle. It's.....i dare.....word of truth.....perfect.

Waiting impatiently for part 9 I want a private word to Daniel: don't you dare to doubt!

Yup, I liked this episode too! This was one of the steamier ones, but also had grounding discussions about jealousy. It's those 'relationship reality' elements of the story which make me enjoy the writing and this series in particular. I definitively want to read more by the author outside of this series.

A ScatteredThoughtsandRogueWords Review. This review can also be found here.

Daniel wants to be overwhelmed and he wants to know how it will be if they add a third. But thinking about that particular scenario has him overwhelmed in a completely different way. Will Daniel be able to pose his quandary to Ryan and most importantly what will be Ryan's response?

Wow, considering how much I was dreading this one, it was pretty amazing. In fact, it might be one of the very best of this series.

I know I made a lot of hue and cry in my last review about how things were all of a sudden moving too fast mostly because I didn't think Ryan and Daniel were ready for this. But what this story unquestionably proves is that they are ready, they are comfortable enough in their relationship with each other that they can bring in a third for a night of fun.

I loved how the scene was set up. It was delicious. The setup for the scene and scene itself had to be pretty spot on considering my thoughts on the whole affair but I am glad to say that my apprehensions are unfounded.

But my absolute favourite thing about this book was that the whole storyline was an amazing way to showcase how far Daniel had come along in their relationship because all of a sudden his motivations have changed. Instead of wanting to do what Ryan tells him to do because it makes him happy he now wants to do things Ryan tells him to do because it makes Ryan happy. This was something I never expected would come forward in this particular storyline but seeing how amazingly it was incorporated, made me question how I hadn't ventured down this particular avenue. Also seeing their relationship at such a turning point really helps contrast Daniel's feelings very well.

Now I can't wait for the next one because as Daniel points out all this just proves how far along Daniel is in their relationship but where exactly is Ryan in their relationship and I truly can't wait to have that question finally answered.

Cover Art by Natasha Snow. I love Natasha Snow's covers they are exquisite but this particular one doesn't only go very well with the theme for the covers but fits the storyline perfectly, like to the point that the cover seems like a scene from the book.

4.5 Hearts

So when the idea of this book came up, of them moving forward this way I was worried because it didn't seem like Daniel would want to share Ryan and I was right. He doesn't want to share Ryan, he wants Ryan to share him and Ryan absolutely is on board with the idea.

Once again I am going to keep the review short as this is a serial installment and therefore short on pages.

Caught in Between shows the amazing character growth in Daniel and the amount of confidence Ryan has given him with their relationship. It’s not as if Daniel is shy in bed or never voiced what he wants but this side, this exploration is new and it’s sexy as hell.

For Daniel to fantasize about a one night threesome with Ryan calling the shots isn’t out of the norm but it comes to bug him with wanting and guilt. He knows if Ryan were to propose they take a third Daniel would feel as if he weren’t enough for Ryan and he doesn’t want to lose Ryan. But when he finally gives up and tells Ryan what he wants, he’s mildly shocked that Ryan instantly agrees. He shouldn’t have been. From the beginning Ryan has always known what Daniel wants without Daniel having to be vocal about it. That’s what I adore about these two when they are together, the nonverbal communication is so intimate and sensual it give me goosebumps at how well they work together.
You think I don’t want to watch someone else make a mess of you and then watch as you pull yourself back together for me? Because you know if I arrange for someone else to join us, then you won’t be giving either of us sloppy seconds. If you want two cocks, then you better be ready to give them both the attention they deserve.

I like how Ryan sets up the Daniel to meet the third and I have to say I LOVED who it was to the point I want more of him. Not more of him with Ryan and Daniel though I wouldn’t be opposed to that, I just clicked with him as a character and wouldn’t mind exploring him a bit more.

I am curious as always where, not when, the serial will end with Ryan and Daniel. They are headed in the direction of a kinky HEA but what I would love before it all ends is to just once, get Ryan’s POV. I know we get a lot of him through Daniel and I love how he sees Daniel but a man with so much control who can demand so much control just with his voice needs to tell me a few things.

Kinks explored in this book: D/s, consensual objectification (kinda), threesomes, exhibitionism.

Out of all the books, this was the one that felt out of step for me. The idea of Daniel and Ryan having a threesome didn’t make much sense to me. This was back when I read the blurbs while pre-ordering them.

As the series went on, however, I realized that it could probably work. Once I read it, though, I was like OOOOOOH. And also >:D

For Daniel, having a third person into their bed was an extension of their relationship. Yes, he’s excited by the idea of having sex with someone else but that is a distant second to how turned on he feels about exhibitionism. In this case, he is really into the idea of being shown like Ryan’s most prized possession. The book is pretty solid.

Another thing that made this a really fun read was seeing Daniel and Ryan setting up the threesome, finding that one person who would be game and understand the scene, etc. After all, there are certain things that Daniel won’t do no matter how much he is into the idea.

The actual threesome is hot and loving. There’s a particular tenderness between Daniel and Ryan. The PWP worked 1,000%

TL;DR: A cool menage story that is a total PWP with an extra layer of romance because that is Daniel and Ryan. I dug how the book went about separating the difference between the fantasy and the reality for the couple.

Sensual. That’s the first word that comes to mind when I think about this installment in the series. And it’s my favorite one so far. The eroticism in this one is off the charts, and it’s amplified by the deep, intense, amazing connection Daniel and Ryan have. It may seem a little strange that in the story where they add a temporary third, Daniel and Ryan are the closest they’ve been. But believe me when I tell you that the way Ryan understands Daniel, giving him what he needs and wants, and what Ryan gets out of it too, is just wholly amazing. I absolutely love these guys, the way everything between them is building while Daniel, in particular, keeps learning about himself.

This may be the best one yet....and considering I'm not massive fan of menages I'm surprising myself by writing those words. This was super hot and I fell in love with Ryan and Daniel just a little bit more. Similarly to lots of other reviews I would be happy to read a story about Brett too!

Smoking, steaming, sizzling hot! 4.5* Always wanting more!  Bring on Book 9!
This author leaves the reader always wanting more, much as Ryan leaves Daniel always wanting more and to better, more completely understand what Ryan wants.  In a perfect world, Daniel would be surrounded by Ryan, front and back.  He would be enveloped and Ryan has an idea, once again, how to give Daniel what he needs.

I'm not a fan of a series read, in general, yet  I can't let this one go.  From the very beginning I wanted more, much like Daniel; Daniel of the rigid, structured life.  Daniel who takes great pride in his self-control until Ryan, his colleague turned master and lover takes over.  Somehow, Ryan has the unique ability to understand Daniel's needs for control and to be controlled and continues to provide that and more.

I think TE has officially outdone herself with the hotness in this installment! Daniel and Ryan are constantly moving their relationship forward and testing Daniels boundaries to see how far he is willing to go in the name of pleasure and see how willing he is to please Ryan. This book hits a new level and their chemistry is off the charts.

This is book eight in the series and they absolutely have to be read in order. They are complete stories in each book but they are a continuation of each other. They are quite short and a nice quick (and dirty) little read. The way this series has been divided up really works and has you eagerly waiting to find out what the pair are going to get up to next.

Daniel has been tying himself in knots, knowing what he'd like to try next but fearing that Ryan will be unhappy with his suggestion. He has already come so far. He has a crazy level of OCD and his life is very regimented but he has let Ryan into his life and the penny has finally dropped that they are more than just co-workers and sexual partners who scene together. They've been away for the weekend together, Ryan knows him inside and out so where can they go next? What they have together works on every level. Now Daniel wants to try an evening with a third person in their bed - an apparent stranger. Unsurprisingly, Ryan is more than happy with this and so they embark on this latest adventure.

I've enjoyed this whole series but this is my favourite by far. I just love these guys. Ryan's levelheadedness and Daniels quirks make them a perfect couple. They have such a sexy level of kink which thankfully isn't in the slightest bit sleazy. I'll be sad when we get to the end of their sexual antics.

Daniel has a fantasy. And he feels excited, and scared, and guilty for it. Guilt is not something Daniel lets himself feel—he knows himself, and he knows his body, and he long ago accepted that. But the guilt is new, and it has Ryan written all over it. Not that Ryan is the cause of it, per se, but it is about something Daniel isn’t sure that Ryan will agree to. Or understand Daniel’s motivations in wanting it.
The problem isn’t Daniel wanting to throw another person into their mix; it’s that he wants a third in only a very small set of possibilities. He doesn’t want to share Ryan, but he wants Ryan to share him, and the idea is selfish enough Daniel’s too ashamed to even float it in conversation.

Unfortunately, the shame doesn’t stop him from wanting.
You have to understand, with this installment, this is something that Daniel wants to do FOR Ryan. This is a boundary he never thought he could push, or even entertain. Daniel really wants to be everything to Ryan, to know down in his bones that he is who Ryan thinks about and obsesses over even when Ryan is out with other people. Ryan is a sociable man, Daniel is not, and that leaves Daniel feeling insecure on some elemental level. But his trust in Ryan is becoming absolute when it comes to their scenes, and Daniel has always had a wish to be completely overwhelmed—and he thinks having two masters will do that. Once again, Ryan has Daniel all figured out, and he knows one of Daniel’s kinks is being perfect. What better way to show your Dom you are perfect than by letting him share you and still control the scene?
“Oh,” Ryan agrees. His eyes are dark, as he looks Daniel over, like he’s thinking about it right now. “You think I don’t want to watch someone else make a mess of you and then watch as you pull yourself back together for me? Because you know if I arrange for someone else to join us, then you won’t be giving either of us sloppy seconds. If you want two cocks, then you better be ready to give them both the attention they deserve.”

In other words, he will have to be perfect for Ryan, even if it is someone else’s cock in his body. I have to say, I loved Brett. He’s so scrumptious a character, and I am really hoping he might get his own book someday; he was that well written of a secondary character. Brett fulfills the role of third in the scene, holds his own, and still supports the premise that it’s all about Daniel and Ryan. And frankly, what Ryan sets up for Daniel? Oh, holy hell. Whew.

This series is all about Daniel and his boundaries, and this book certainly shattered one of those. So, where do these two go from here? I can’t wait to find out!

This, the eight instalments of the series, raise the heat level to its maximus. It was really unexpected. I couldn’t picture Daniel wanting and doing some of the things that happened in the book but it was all a great surprise.

There was a thing that made me struggle a little bit with the book, I don’t like ménages. It was a little difficult for me to enjoy that particular scene, but it wasn’t as hard as I expected. I might have issues with it, but the rest of the book compensate the little struggle I had. The events that lead to the sexual encounter were something I really liked.

I loved little details that show growth in their relationship, like spontaneous kisses that I don’t remember seen before. They are still being a little slower than I would like to, but I’m enjoying the steps they are giving. I also loved the way Ryan knows Daniel. I wouldn’t think Daniel knows Ryan as much as Ryan does him but it still shows the great connection they share.

There is a new character that is very intriguing. I wouldn’t mind to know more about him in the future. Overall it was a great chapter of this series. I had a great time reading it.

I was completely ready to dislike Daniel and Ryan bringing in a third for their scene. I'm not going to lie, but I was a little angry and disappointed, but I know why and it made sense. Well, since I've loved all of the previous parts, I told myself to get over it and just read it! Yes, I loved it and who Ryan picked for their third. Can he have his own book? I absolutely want to read more about him! The next part cannot come fast enough!

4.5 stars. I know I reviewed this when I read it but apparently it disappeared. Daniel and Ryan add (or rather Ryan does) a third to their relationship. I usually don't like MMM at all, but with Ryan in charge it was good.
