It’s the first of the month and that means Reza is coming.
Jonny and Charlie Keen got themselves in financial trouble. Well, that was Jonny’s fault. But sweet Charlie has a way to keep them in the apartment they love. And despite how terrible it may seem, it’s still a better option than the two of them stumbling back to her parent’s Kansas farm and telling them what a failure Jonny is.
She’ll submit to Reza, their landlord’s son. Jonny will watch as another man takes care of his woman in every way she needs. It’s the first of the month and this is the way it is now.
KT Morrison writes stories about women who cheat and loving relationships that go too far—couples who open a mysterious door, then struggle to get it closed as trouble pushes through the threshold.
When slacker/dreamer Johnny can't make the rent, his sweet, quiet wife lets herself be used by Reza, their landlord's son, and his friend Demetrius. Believable, hard sex and great writing with lots of nicely-observed detail and good character work make this book. unusual and enjoyable in the genre. As the despicable Reza forces Charlie and Johnny to become a reluctant hotwife/cuckold pair. Beautifully dirty.
I was thinking 4 stars because it's short, but fuck it. When it's good it's good.
The writing is surprisingly strong, didn't expect that for "this kind of book". Really, really strong. Made me feel like I was there, if you know what I mean.
Nice opening to a series of short novellas. Reza, landlord of Charlie and Jonny who provides them with shelter and a little cash for a monthly favor. A favor they seem to have mixed emotions about.
