From best-selling author, Taylor Hart, comes a modern day love story between a semi-broken, Country music singer and a reporter who's trying to live her life for everybody else.
Their friendship is complicated but love--and a motorcycle ride--just might find a way.
Texas Waters, bad boy of country music likes doing things when he wants and how he wants. He doesn't appreciate his boss forcing him to do an up-close and personal article with The New York Times. Nor does he appreciate the hot-shot reporter who shows up at his door, demanding his time in the middle of a tight recording deadline.
Headstrong and determined, Liberty Wright only wants one thing--to cover the refugee crisis in Nigeria. Too bad her editor at the New York Times, who also happens to be her mother, won't let her go to the conference unless she gets the dirt on Texas Waters. She hates being forced to travel to the sticks to do a puff piece on some arrogant singer almost as much as she hates country music!
When Texas fires Liberty for not knowing any of his songs, she never imagined she'd fall off a ski lift and Texas would be the one to save her. And she certainly never imagined he'd take her back to his house and give her a second chance.
As Liberty gets to know the man behind the music, she discovers she just might be interested in Texas Waters for more than just an article. After a bold decision to follow her dreams puts Liberty in grave danger and Texas scrambles to save her, Liberty is left with a choice--live her life the way her mother has always wanted her to ... or trust 'The Lone Star Groom.'

A note from the author:
Thanks for visiting my Goodreads page.
I wanted to tell something meaningful about myself, but let's start with the important stuff--I love swoon-worthy heroes. The kind of heroes that are strong and would take a bullet for you, but also want to open your door and listen to you pour out your heart.
What else? I grew up moving. If you’ve read my books, you won’t be surprised by this. I have a lot of moving themes through my books centered around characters experiencing pain from someone moving.
It was hard. But, I believe there’s always a seed of good that comes out of everything hard, so I think the best thing that came from it was that I learned to love books.
And I had to learn a lot of mad skills on friend making. It gave me a love of people…good people, compassionate people. Interesting people of all kinds.
What else about me? I am a mother and wife! I have four amazing boys that are like little ninjas running around. I love them so much and I’m so grateful for my amazing husband who doesn’t get intimidated by all the billionaire men in my life.
I have a fierce love of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for Him and for the healing and forgiveness I’ve gotten to experience in my life. This is a theme in many of my books.
I love being an American. I am so proud of the men and women that support and preserve our freedom. This is another theme you will find in my books.
I am so grateful for my fans and for the support and love you all show me! Don’t stop reading!
This was such a fun romance to read, but the added depth was wonderfully unexpected.
I really liked our two main characters, Liberty and Texas. Each has their own difficulties and things they have kept bottled up inside. Pushed together by both of their bosses to have Liberty write an article about Texas, the last thing either wants to do is spend time together.
They come from completely different worlds, but I thought they worked so well at truly seeing beneath the surface of each other and being able to help the other get through difficult things. Texas was a great swoon-worthy hero, and the added danger to this plot added to his character.
Definitely another great clean romance- excited to read more by the author!
I really enjoy Taylor Hart as a writer. She writes uplifting, clean and engaging stories. I'm not a super huge fan of the cheesy titles or the disconnect between cover and character description, but its insignificant enough to not deter me as a reader.
This story did leave me shocked at the turn of events, not the usual norm for a story of this genre. It was interesting for sure, though was tied up very quickly and a little unrealistically. ]
Liberty & Texas are from 2 different worlds & trying to get along. Opposites attract, but a fiance & a mother keep getting in their way. Texas rescues her in more ways than one! The chemistry & feelings are magical between these two.
The story is about Texas and Liberty. He as a famous country singer and she is a reporter to get the scoop on him. He does not like reporter and she does not like country music. As they get to know she other and sparks flies, they realize that they have lots in common. Good story. Had a hard time putting the book down until I finished it.
Loved this book on so many levels. The family lives of both main characters are fractured, they have so much inter turmoil with their relationship and with their families. When you add in the kidnapping of women for human trafficking it's just not a book you can put down.
. . . Hello heavenly readers, I bring you the review of this author that I liked a lot although it was not remarkable to me. I liked the main characters and their personalities, very different but at the same time very similar. Liberty is a young reporter with very high aspirations about her job who reluctantly agrees to do a story on a very talented but reserved musician about his personal life. The two dislike each other at first glance but then begin to get along better. Needless to say, the plot is one of romance, with no bawdy scenes except for the intense kissing and physical attraction on both sides. It has good dialogue between the main characters and unique elements at the end of the story that make it appealing even though it suddenly seems implausible. If you like instant love, character growth, music and the occasional action scene, this is the read for you.
Texas country star falls in love with Liberty Bell east coast reporter.
Loved being back in Jackson again. Texas and Liberty story was very fast paced couldn't put it down. Liberty and Texas had quite the first meeting. They didn't really like each other at first. She didn't even like his music. But she got under his skin and he started writing songs about her. Their love grew from there. They were so right for each other. He became her Country Cowboy Hero rolled into one. Loved that Montana from Country Groom was in it for a little bit too. Liberty came to love his music singing with him at Montana home and joining him at a concert.I'm going back to reading Cooper story.
She came to get the dirt on him. After serving in the armed forces, Texas Waters is now the bad boy in country music. When Liberty gets the assignment to get the dirt on Texas, she refuses. She doesn’t know country music and she wants to cover a human trafficking conference instead. When she is told by her editor, who is also her mother, that she must do the article on Texas to possibly be allowed to cover the conference, she agrees. She figures it will be in and out quick, down, and dirty. However, when she is injured, forcing her to slow down and really see the man behind the image, things begin to change. And when she unwittingly places herself in danger, he maybe her only hope.
I enjoy the clean Billionaire romances, for the most part, but I don't go into them expecting anything more than amusing fluff. This one is better than average.
Liberty and Texas are both accomplished and messed up at the same time but in different ways. The way they clash & yet also complement each other is both fun and touching. The healing they bring to each other's lives makes the HEA so satisfying.
Clean romance level: a lot of flirting and a few intense kisses
A character as big as the Lone Star State with baggage just as large but incredible character and integrity as well, just has to be named Texas. Liberty is going through life doing what is expected of her despite that inner voice telling her to make a difference. What happens when the Lone Star Cowboy and the Liberty Bell collide? The 4th of July and fireworks. Lots of fireworks!
I really enjoyed this cute story of Liberty and Texas, it was cute and sweet. Liberty is sent by her mom who is also her Editor to write a story on Texas a Country Music Singer. Liberty and Texas don't get off to the best start.
I loved the bantering, I loved the setting of the book, I loved the romance it was also fast paced, clean and fun.
It is hard to believe a famous singer can be real and human like Texas!
I wad glad to find a book that I totally enjoyed reading and did not want to put down, so I do hope other avid readers who also love music will enjoy this book as much ad I did. I am sorry that I am not a great writer that it looked like the female in this book was....
The perfect opposite attract story. Brought up rough Texas and quintessential rich girl, Libery, at first glance look a bit cliché but you definitely have to look below the surface with these two. Texas needs Liberty to smooth the rough spots and Liberty needs Texas to shake things up, to help her be her best self. Fasten your seatbelts for this one.
This is just my opinion, but I think this book os Taylor Hart's best writing. It moves along, the pages sizzle even with nothing explicit (I won't read that kind of book anyhow) and full of charm. A great read !
Taylor Hart is one of my favorite authors and this book did not disappoint. Wow, the chemistry between Texas and Liberty was over the top! I love the story line and the fact that her books are always tender, clean yet still at the same time full of passion and drama!
I have mixed feelings about this book. There was LOTS of angst. There also was lots of growth in the characters and it was interesting to see their changes of heart. The characters were great. It dealt with some tough subjects-child abuse and human trafficking. All in all, I really liked it.
Two lost souls find each other but angst, fear, anger and much more get in the way. Each dealing with all that on different paths that look like will never come together. Or will they? Well written without a lot of superfluous verbage.
Loved the story except for the over use of the term "facial hair". Also, the author or editor needs to learn the difference between then and than. Other than those issues, it was an enjoyable read.
I have never been so caught up in a story. Texas, the emotionally wounded country singer and Liberty, the emotionally frozen reporter find healing together as they fall in love.
This story was one I could not put down until I finished it. A story with love, tears, laughter, and suspense all in a few hours of time. This book is worth another read.
I love this book. It has great characters who struggle with very deep issues and feelings. The setting is fun. The rescue is tense and exciting. And I love that the romance is clean and has a happy ending. This is a very enjoyable book!
A fair read. Too much time spent in Wyoming. The names texas and Montana for characters is a poor choice. The last three chapters the action is fast and somewhat unbelievable. A happy ending.
