The authors offer a "first" summary of Teilhard's thoughts on love, a central element in his evolutionary spirituality, presented in accessible language for the ordinary reader. They explore the implications of Teilhard's evolutionary perspective on love as it affects friendships, marriages, parent-child relationships, and teams (larger groups).
I walked into reading this already knowing a little about Teilhard--his background as a paleontologist and Jesuit priest is fascinating. I got to learn more about his expansive philosophies about love and its concentric applications, his thoughts on potential of loving thoughts and acts (whether they are rooted in a religious tradition or not) to add to this larger, dynamic, cosmic good--all of which made for an enjoyable and meaningful read.

Eight kinds of love. Love as energy. These interpreters of the great mind Teilhard de Chardin are very provocative and I enjoyed perusing this book, though not really reading it word for word. Keen ideas.
