Citrine, the last unmated gemstone dragon and mentor to the metal dragons, has finally gotten his story!
Citrine Vanderguard has searched tirelessly for his mate. And now, hundreds of miles later, he's found her. She's on the brink of mating someone she can't possibly love, all for the sake of responsibility. So he does the only thing he can to win over the curvy, confident woman that makes the dragon inside him roar with approval: challenge the jerk that would be her mate to a fight for her hand.
Robbie can't believe her eyes when Citrine, her former coworker in Seattle who she felt an irresistible attraction to, shows up on her doorstep out of nowhere. What's more, he's here to challenge her fiancé. But in spite of the audacious overture, the tall, muscular man with dark brown hair and amber eyes that are warm like a sunset still has the same effect on her body and heart.
As time ticks by leading up to the fight that will determine her destiny, subtle attraction blazes into pure fire. Though Citrine knows he'll do anything for Robbie, she will have to make the ultimate choice between familial responsibility and personal happiness. And whispers of a big, bad wolf in the mountains of Robbie's home may be more than just a fairy tale.
Citrine is the fourth book in the Date-A-Dragon series! It contains ridiculously hot dragons, steamy romance, and strong, curvy women. Enjoy!
Terry is the author of over forty bestselling shifter romances. She spends her spare time dreaming of dragons, playing with her pets, and watching sunsets from her home in the mountains alongside her husband (who she suspects would make a great bear shifter). She loves the wild outdoors, her fans, all readers, and getting lost in a great book.

Citrine finally finds his mate! I wondered if he would get his happily ever after. Robbie is a kick ass woman but she is very different at home, weighed down by heavy responsibilities. Citrine has to work hard to show to her that her destiny does not have to be determined by others. The next series looks amazing too.
I loved Citrine and Robbie's story. Two strong, passionate, and loyal individuals finally reveal their feelings for each other to find a HEA. Citrine had been so focused on helping the other dragons find their mates that he never thought he'd have a mate of his own. After spending time with the Date-A-Dragon crew, Robbie realizes she must return home to her pack. Burdened by pack responsibilities as the Alpha female, she's resigned to a loveless, arranged mating with a local pack's alpha. But when Citrine realizes Robbie is his mate, he tracks her to her hometown to win her affections. Confronted by the alpha she's supposed to mate, Citrine challenges the alpha to a fight to win Robbie's hand.
Citrine and Robbie are explosive together. And, the tease of what's to come has me completely intrigued. I can't wait for the next advantages with Ms. Bolryder's dragons.
This is one of the best out of the whole series. I always liked Robbie from the other books. She doesn't disappoint. Citrine realizes how much he loves her after she leaves in a previous book. He finds her and defends his love against Bryson, a big bully.
The last book in the series, and we go back to one of the gem dragons. I was waiting for this since the awakened dragons series. Citrine is supposed to be this super strong dragon, and he goes after his mate, who turns out to be an alpha wolf. I keep getting confused because the other shifters don't recognize the dragons, and even if they are a different kind of dragon, they still are dragons. Robbie looks very different in this book from what we saw of her in previous books, and I liked her more before, when she was more badass, and less martyr. Still, Citrine was one of my favorites, and I'm happy he finally got his mate.
This one was a little different from previous books and it gives us a different perspective on the shifter's world and their rules. I liked the dynamics of the town, in this series, we had different examples of shifter's towns, and I liked this one the best. Still, I feel like I need to read more of the series to really understand what's going on.
Citrine used to the easiest going and dependable of the dragons. He never lost his cool until Robbie the Date-A-Dragon manager left them with only a note. Citrine went a little nuts and helps destroy hi house. Now he is looking for Robbie but the oracle has collared him to help him control his feelings. In his search he has learned that Robbie is a rare alpha female werewolf and she is promised as a mate to a neighboring Alpha. Citrine knows that Robbie is his mate and he will do what it takes to claim her. He has finally tracked down Robbie's pack and interrupts mating celebration planning. Citrine immediately challenges the other alpha to an alpha mating challenge. Robbie isn't happy with her promised mate and had left her pack to get away from him for a while. However her promised mate is demanding their mating. Even though she doesn't want to mate him, she has to for the good of her pack. Her pack is smaller and could easily be destroyed by the larger pack. Only the mating agreement has kept them safe. When Citrine shows up and challenges to mate her, She is angry and confused. She knows her duty even though Citrine tempts her plus she never knew he felt more than friendship. Now that the challenge has been made, now she is worried. Her promised mate is one of the most feared alphas in the state and Citrine is...well she doesn't know what Citrine is because he is keeping it a secret. This is a great story and I loved how love made Citrine go a little crazy. I'm glad that Robbie may get a chance to avoid a horrible mate. I also enjoyed the little hints of upcoming books near the end of the book. I voluntarily read a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
And of course if won't be easy for him, because she is an Alpha female wolf who is already technically betrothed! I have loved watching Citrine and Robbie in the first 2 Date-a-Dragon books. Now we get to see what happens after the cliffhanger from Silver (book 2). Citrine has always been so calm and in control, but now his mate is being threatened by a bullying Alpha male to whom her parents had betrothed Robbie long ago and he will do whatever he has to in order to keep her safe, even fight in an Alpha challenge.
This story is a great ending for this series, while giving us a peek at the next dragon shifter series. I can't wait! In the meantime, if you have been reading the dragon series, get this book and savor it. If you haven't, then I would read all the dragon series and spinoffs in order (most of which are available in boxed sets, thank you for that, Terry Bolryder!). This is the best order to read them: Double Dragons, Tiger Protectors, the Awakened Dragons, Rent-a-Dragon, and finally this one Date-a-Dragon. If you like shifter stories with action, good character development, a decent plot some funny and some steamy scenes, then you should like this. Try the first one and enjoy!
OMG! I have waited since the Awaken Dragons series. Believe me it was worth the wait. I think this is my favorite story. In this story Citrine has left Date-A-Dragon to find Robbie. It is hard to not give away spoilers, but here goes. Citrine is the sun dragon and has come in search of Robbie. He know sooner arrives than he finds himself jumping a fence, knocking on Robbie's door and issuing an alpha challenge. Robbie has returned home to be mated to an alpha she dislikes. She is doing it to save her pack. As one of the few alpha female wolves she has an alpha power. What hers is no one knows. Bryson is aa bully and a wolf shifter who Robbie was pledged to. He has to accept the alpha challenge. Will the collar he now wears hinder his ability to win the challenge? Will Bryon win or will his temper get the better of him. Will Robbie's secret power come to light? This is definitely a 5 star story. "I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy without pressure to do so."
Finally we have the story of Citrine, the Sun Dragon. Despite being mild-mannered and gentle, he has a way of angering the mighty oracle, so now he has a collar on, too. He is looking for his alpha female wolf shifter mate in the wolf country and ends up in an alpha challenge with an another powerful wolf. This is Citrine and his mate's wonderful, sweet, hot love story about overcoming great and unexpected difficulties and balancing love and responsibilities. But Citrine is indeed the most powerful of dragons! Be ready to be entertained! Oh, and I really love all the covers in this series, the men are beautiful and handsome and I totally love that their colors and dragons are shown. In the end of this story comes a very surprising revelation which leads to the next two series, the Awakened Sea Dragons Series and the Dragon Guard of Drakkaris Series.
Citrine, our quiet, controlled, calm dragon. You read about him in many of the other books. He's secretive, he's a precious gem dragon who helps the other dragons. He's trusted deeply by the Oracle. Up until the end of book 2-3 or so you know little of him. Then, Robbie leaves suddenly. This sets off Citrine. He finally realizes she, Robbie, us his mate, and he's out of time in them slowly building their relationship. In this book, Citrine challenges Bryson, Robbie's fiancée ( she's reluctant to have him, he's pushy ). Citrine and Robbie draw ever closer, while soon Citrine and Bryson soon will duel. Can a wolf shifter beat a dragon? Oh my the ending is perfect.... I see more dragons!!!!! ( squuueeeee !!!!!!)
I knew this last book in the Date-A-Dragon series was going to be Epic but I just didn't know how Epic it was going to be some many things more things have been answered but now I have even more questions that need answers to them. I'm happy that Robbie and Citrine fell more in love with each other mated. I didn't like how the Bryson and his packed bullied Robbie's pack before and after the engagement was known, also how they treated Citrine,Robbie and her pack after he challenged to be mated to Robbie. The wonderful alpha powers that Robbie and Bryson had were cool even though Bryson was a bully and dangerous. I love Citrine's powers!!!I just love him and his friends plus all their mates and hopefully the ones that are still toncome after this!!!!
I really wish I could give this book more than 5 stars.
Citrine is the last gemstone dragon and his story was well worth the wait (even though Aegis/Emerald is my all time favorite dragon and he does get an honorable mention in this book😁). Citrine has always been the level-headed dragon throughout the last three dragon series (Gem, Rent-a-Dragon, and Date-a-Dragon) and definitely more of a pacifist and now that the author has revealed his true power, it is totally understandable. Citrine's alpha personality is tempered by what he is and it makes him the most understanding and caring of the recent dragons. Robbie, being a rare alpha female wolf-shifter, takes her responsibilities to the point of self sacrfice.
I was so excited to get this book that I read it straight through and didn't stop. Even with as many dragon books as the author has written, she always tells a unique story. There is plenty of action, as Citrine faces off against Robbie's obnoxious finance's pack (and as Citrine and Robbie take their physical attraction to the foregone conclusion). I loved how the author introduced the new set of dragons and revealed the truth about Mercury (I have hopes that Mercury may be swayed to the Oracle's side even though he doesn't seem to have the redeeming qualities that Aegis had).
I will drop everything when this author puts out a new dragon book and I have never been disappointed. Hunky dragons, fantastic powers, and strong women make for some awesome "me time" reading. I received a copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed this book. I also have Kindle Unlimited and want to thank the author for offering her books on the program. I also purchase her books (though I do prefer to purchase them in sets). Grab a copy and prepare to be drawn into a fantastic world.
I guess i'm in the minority here. When i read this it reminded me of Acheron's book in the Dark hunter series. The reason it reminded me of that is because in Acheron's book and Citrine's book i had that same feeling that the FLI or female love interest is not good enough for the MLI or male love interest. Throughout these dragon series I've always like Citrine and i just don't think Robbie was good enough or deserving of him. Not to mention i got sick and tired of Robbie's duty shit. She ruined this book for me. I'm disappointed in her character. And to be honest i didn't like her at all, didn't connect with her, and overall got sick of her. I'm sad to say that this is the first book ever by this author that i was disappointed by and did not like. I also want to add that the Robbie in the previous date-a-dragon books is not the Robbie that is in this book. I'm rating this book 2.75 stars. P.S. i am excited for the upcoming sea dragon series....that we had a hint of at the end of this read.
Citrine was the lead dragon of the Date-A-Dragon Firm. The other dragons found their mates. Robbie, the office manager, suddenly left for parts unknown without saying goodbye. For weeks, Citron was very unsettled and finally came to the conclusion that Robbie was his mate. So, he said goodbye to look for her. Finally, he found her making wedding arrangements. He challenged Bryson from the other wolf clan. He just knew she was his mate. To find out what happens next, you'll need to read this wonderful book. The storyline is interesting, the characters are complex and complete. and there are enough twists and turns to keep the reader's interest. I definitely recommend this book. Enjoy!
Terry Bolryder always writes a winner. When Robbie left Date-A-Dragon, Citrine realized that she was his mate and just had to find her to give her a chance to accept him as her mate. When he gets to her home he finds her fiancé, Bryson, alpha of the neighboring wolf pack, there and issues an alpha challenge. In the short time until the challenge match, Citrine woos Bobbie, wanting to give her the opportunity to get to know him better and for him to show her how he feels. Bobbie was resigned to being mated only to help her pack and realizes that perhaps she can have what she wants instead, a bonus is her parents are on the couple’s side. This is a delightful romance and the last in this series. I’m sorry to see it end but looking forward to more books by Terry Bolryder.
The long awaited book for Citrine is finally here and it was definitely worth the wait! After Robbie leaves Date-A-Dragon for places unknown, Citrine is beside himself with the need to search for her. With the appearance of his new volatile mood, the oracle collars him to corral his dragon. When he finds her in her small hometown resigned to mate the alpha male of the neighboring pack in order to protect her pack, Citrine must convince Robbie that she is his mate and he can help keep her pack safe. Oh how awesome it was to see calm and collected Citrine loose his temper and become possessive and protective over Robbie. I'm also incredibly glad that this isn't the end of the dragon stories and I can't wait to see what happens next!!
Citrine has been the genteel, calm, reliable Dragon throughout the Rent a Dragon and Date a Dragon series. His understated powers and interest in gardening and nature have resulted in him being underestimated. But no more. When his true mate, Robbie, abandons him and the Date a Dragon business, he realizes he must fight for her. We enter the world of wolf shifters and, like Citrine, discover a whole new world. This story is as different from the other Dragon books as Citrine is from the other dragons. This is a revealing read as we discover the power Citrine has been concealing just may be the most important of all. And , of course, that true mates will conquer in the end.
Citrine is mentor to the metal dragons and last unmated dragon of the group. Unknown to all, he has found his mate in Robbie, human female ( or so they thought ) in charge of helping Citrine with the business side of the Date-A-dragon agency. He has been focused on helping the other dragons find their mates and keep putting off his feelings for her but forging a friendship in the meantime. However his world turns upside down when Robbie leaves unexpectedly without saying goodbye or any way to contact her. And here we see the level headed, calm and restrained dragon get eclipsed by a panicked dragon determined to get his fated mate back. There is a fantastic twist to the story. Highly recommended
Citrine was managing the dragons the best he could. Be needed someone else to help.
Robbie was a perfect choice. A no nonsense type, who could handle "dragons". Citrine was too nice at times, having he around was making sense. The pesky dragon, Mercury was in disguise as a human woman. Poor Adrien was the target. Robbie kicked butt, kicking the door off it's hinges. She fled, just leaving a note. Citrine, finding this out: was pissed. He went go find her. Leaving the alone door a short period. Only opening a gap for Mercury to attack again. Then realizing it was something else about her, he had to find her. But, the Oracle collared him! His new mission, finding Robbie.
Terry Bolryder you did again . You didn't disappointed your fans. I've been waiting for Citrine book and it's the "bum diggy bum ". Love it . Now I'm sad that I finished reading it . I can wait to see what you have for us . I would recommend this book . I don't like being a spoiler so I'll not be described nor read the book to you . But I guarantee you will love it . Thank you Terry 🙌💞💖😜😍😍
As a reader if Terry Bolryder I have been waiting for Citrine's story. As the most reserved and controlled dragon I was hoping his story would be an uncontrollable ride. As always this story was exactly what I was looking for sweet, steamy, alpha male, and a mate to match. Citrine and Robbie are the perfect match she has her pack to protect and he has waited forever to put himself first. I loved this book and so will you. They have much to overcome before they're be together and the journey is half the fun.
Even though this book is part of the Date-A-Dragon's series, Citrine is a gem Dragon!
I've been waiting for Citrine's book to come out since last year!! So glad to finally get to read his story and I loved reading about his trials and triumphs over the threat to his mate! I'm recommending that everyone get this book and the while series, so that you can all read these delightful books over and over again!!! They are that electric to read!!!
Citrine is a gem dragon but was included with this the metal dragons. His mate, Robbie is a wolf. They are in her home town because she has been engaged to the alpha of the neighboring pack since she was little. Citrine knows that she is his mate, so he alpha challenges the competition. Bryson is the other alpha and he is mean and vindictive. Him and his pack threaten the whole town because he feels that Robbie belongs to him. Read to find out what happens during the challenge. We also get a sneak peek at what is to come in the next book.
Citrine and Robbie's story was very interesting. Citrine showed his determined and not so layed back side. Not only did he surprise Robbie, but he surprised me, the reader. Robbie, is an alpha shifter who is truly stuck in the middle. She must do her duty for her clan, but sacrificing the possibility of better things is killing her. And then serious Citrine knocks on her doorstep. Holy Moly...he makes things very interesting for her, her family and her town. This was very good.
I now am curious about Mercury and the blonde, blue eyed new characters.
As usual I am highly pleased with this authors books. I loved Citrine and out of all the books this was the most anticipated for me. I loved this series so much that I downloaded this book and refused to read it for days because I didn't want it to end. But the temptation was too much and I wanted to know what happened to Robbie. I'm glad these two got their happy ending and I can't wait to read the next series. I love the fact that the writer puts in little sneak peeks. I highly recommend this book and all of this authors books. You will not be disappointed.
I loved Citrine and Robbie!! Citrine is not like the other dragons, being always so cool and collected. He grows and cares for plants instead of fighting... but that all changes as he fights for his future with his mate!! I loved his compassion and understanding and how strong he was at the same time. AND I am SO excited that there will be more dragons book!! (I won't spoil it and says who gets books next ;) )
Since his first appearance in the "Awakened Dragons" series, I have waited patiently for Citrine to have his own story. He has helped so many of the other dragons with their mates and deserved his own. Finally Citrine's book is here and it does not disappoint! While this book wraps up the "Date-A-Dragon" series, there are hints in it about the next series. I can't wait.
*I received an Advance Readers Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
I am totally impressed with the creativeness of Citrine’s story! I have Robbie so subdued and resigned to what she believed was her fate felt so awkward compared to her personality prior to returning home. Love the progressive steps taken to reach their HEA! If the amazing story of these two weren't enough, the teaser intro into what is to come both with the oracle and then the emergence…..I am so addicted! Thank you yet again for these amazing characters and their tales!
