Cyrus

Family. Brotherhood. Music. Women.

That was pretty much my life. And it was one I was happy with too. Until I came across her- the one woman I knew I had no right to put my hands on, the woman who I still felt such a connection with that, even though I knew I had to keep my hands - and other body parts - to myself, I wanted to be in her life.
So I became her friend.
Except, this sweet, shy, bookworm was making being honorable a hell of a lot harder than I expected.

Reese

Family. Books.

To be perfectly honest, that was pretty much all my life was about. And I was happy with that. I lived a thousand lives. I saw and felt things in stories I never could have otherwise.
Besides, real life was never as good as books.
Until I came across him.
He was leading man material if I ever saw it.
You know, just not for me.
He made that perfectly clear.
We were going to be friends.
Friends.
That was it.
Except, maybe that simply wasn’t enough…

ღ I absolutely love reading anything that written by Jessica Gadizala , But I also know that , I’m super late to the party, so I won’t post a long review 😈😈

Reese, had two big brothers (Paine & Enzo). And those big brothers each used to run the local Third Street gang. Which meant that everyone around who was anybody in the criminal underbelly that was Navesink Bank, knew that Reese and Kenzi were off-limits.
Reese is a shy librarian with her nose always in a book.

Cyrus was the charming guy with the beard and guitar, and yes Cyrus is a Henchmen’s. oh, can’t forget insatiable woman-chaser

Cyrus didn't know what it was about her, what the pull was. So what if she was pretty? Pretty was a dime a dozen thing. Reese, the girl I wanted but couldn't put my damn hands on.

Cyrus actually had some surprising layers. Reese she had of course romantic side … when they were together, they were amazing. When they were apart, they were in hell!

This was sweet & slow building romance where the hero truly understands the heroine & all her quirks. What's not to love about that? It’s been while since I read this book & I feared that I wasn’t going to enjoy it as much the 2nd time around , honestly the 1st time I read this book I only gave it 4 stars , I believe due to the fact that I don't do the beard thing, is one factor & 2nd was we kinda got the build up on the Cyrus & his brother Reeve, dark side. Yes occasionally I like my men somewhat dark! So according to the reading order there's only two or three books ahead of Reese's book so I won't give up completely that dark side of with the brothers & yes of course I’ll also try my best to stay of course with the reading order, oh k maybe I’ll promise

On to the next book, I believe the fixer is up next Navesink Bank Universe

📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion+ Also I wouldn’t never discourage anyone from reading this book.

Happy Reading --- Enjoy ……. Paulette Review

Cyrus was the PERFECT book boyfriend. Not even kidding, this man was swoon worthy to the max and the best boyfriend a bookworm could ask for. He took Reese to a book signing and let her lead him around for hours while he carried her books for her, and he always let her rant and rave about the books she was reading.

Where is my Cyrus???

I really enjoyed Cyrus and Reese. Their development as a couple was stellar. I attribute that to the fact that the conflict with the MC was not used as the main means of progressing the story between them. The characters were allowed to grow outside of said conflict. It was almost as if they were in a bubble.

I like the contrast in the MCs’ personalities and backgrounds. They complimented one another well. They had really good chemistry and the pacing on the intimacy felt true to them and what they were trying to achieve.

The plot was ok. There were still a lot of questions and I don’t feel the overall arc moved very far in this book but I wasn’t turned off by it. All in all a solid addition to the series.

Safety: No others for either. No rape or abuse. They used protection.

It's Reese's story so I stopped reading the other book I was reading to get into this one! :)

This was a great read! You know the books when the hero has some serious feelings for the heroine but they're not together because he doesn't feel he's good enough, etc, so he goes and screws every other woman nearby?? This so doesn't happen in this book!!! Yes, Cyrus is a true ladies man, but the minute he sets eyes on Reese, it's like no other woman exists for him. Yes, he decides they should only be friends, and for the first time, Reese finally builds a true connection with someone other than her family. What I liked though is when he pulls away and ignores her for weeks (all because he freaked out about just how important she is to him and he doesn't know whether he can handle it or not), he knows he needs to make a grand gesture when he gets his head outta his arse, and it's one that is incredibly important and meaningful to Reese. But I also loved that she called him on it, saying that his 'grand gesture' isn't an apology and demands more...which he is more than happy to do. His apology is genuine and heartfelt, and although I wanted her to be stubborn and difficult (just because I think that's how I personally would be! lol), the fact she demanded a real apology from him was out of character for her and took some guts for her to do.

I thought these two were awesome together :) And the epilogue that showed how they are in future made me smile huge! Cyrus was a different kind of hero to the ones I've read lately. Why? Because he SHOWS his woman just how much she means to him. He shows her in everything he does that she is the most important person in his world and that he loves her. My only issue (which is why I couldn't rate it 5 stars ) was

And of course, there are more tidbits on some side characters that make you want their stories, too...so I'm looking to reading more :)

I’m a big fan of JG’s writing, I read almost all her books.

I adore how she writes a badass or/and strong heroines, and maybe that’s why I can’t quite cope with her sweet/soft female protagonists. Also because all her male characters (especially in this series) are “bad” boys with colorful manwhore past. I have less problems with pairing such men with badass women, who can deal with all this BS sexiness…

I was desperately looking for something I could like in this male protagonist. He wasn’t with any OW after he met the heroine (but he clearly admired their looks/hotness + many details about his sexual past); he tried to learn how to fit into the h’s world and started to read – it was sweet, but it seemed somehow forced to me.

Before I whine for another 10 lines, I make it short -> I didn’t like male protagonist, not a bit.

She was ok, but I prefer the girls/women like her sister from my favorite book by this author 14 Weeks
This heroine was sweet and soft and she read a lot -> it’s always a good sign, as long as the reader can clearly separate fiction from real life.
Bad boy idolization in romance and believing in it may cause a woman huge disappointment/broken heart/VD in real life.

Just saying…

3.5*

This one was super sweet. As you would expect from Cyrus’s book. He’s the lovable charmer of the group.
Reese is the shy and quiet librarian living her life through books.

This was cute, sweet and adorable. Now it’s Edison whom suspect will be less so.

Although the story didn't have me on the edge of my seat this time, there's no doubt (at all) that the breathtaking
sex scenes were outstanding. Oh. My God...just beautiful.

Pure romance and so sweet!
After reading so many angsty, save the drama for your mama books lately, I really appreciated this simply beautiful love story. Usually reading a J.G. book I'm swept away and consumed mostly by the hero, but this is the first heroine I've read that reminds me of me. I could so relate to her in every way!
Cyrus did sweep me off my feet though! ; )
This is one series I'd be ecstatic about going on for many more books to come!

Loved it! ❤❤❤❤

A slow building romance where the hero truly understands the heroine and all her quirks. What's not to love? He brings coffee, books, and plays the guitar while still being a bad boy biker!

3-3.25 stars. This was an okay read for me. This is Cyrus and Reese's story. Reese is an extremely shy, awkward librarian. She lives in her head most of the time in her world of books. In an effort to "get out more", she occasionally makes herself go out in public to work on being around people more. One night, she goes to an open mic night at a coffee shop and meets Cyrus. Cyrus is interested in her right away because of her looks, but he sees how shy she is upon first conversation and he immediately friend zones her. He thinks that she is too good to be with him, a Henchman MC brother and a manwhore. He knows that she is not his normal one night stand type. So they become friends. Cyrus helps her come out of her shell a little bit and they have friend dates where they go out for ice cream and coffee. They become good friends which leads to more. Cyrus decides it's worth it to take a risk on a relationship with Reese. There is a little family drama, a little MC drama, some sweet and sexy times and they get their HEA.

I liked Cyrus. He is very charming and sweet. Reese was an okay character to me. She is a huge reader and there are lots of familiar book loving elements, like going to a book convention, etc. I liked that aspect of her personality (although some of the book elements were OTT cheesy). But she was so very socially awkward and shy. She had a hard time holding a conversation. Reese did not come off like someone who had previous relationships at all. I just didn't see what Cyrus saw in her. I felt like they were a very mismatched couple. I did not feel the chemistry between them at all.
I did like the story, the writing and the ongoing MC club storyline. There is very little relationship angst, which was good too.

Overall, this was not my favorite book by this author, but I do still enjoy her work. I will continue with this series because it has so many different characters and storylines. Even if one book in the series is not my favorite, the next one may be. I am intrigued about Cyrus's siblings stories too.

Cyrus has to be one of my favorite Henchmen books. I loved it. By love I mean it was classic Jessica Gadzillia with fantastic smutty scenes.
Cyrus knew a good woman when he saw one. Even though he was captivated by Reese, he friend-zoned her because she was too good for him. Nice guy (for a gun runner) right? He was smart to top it off. He knew Reese had hang ups and he focused on making her feel beautiful.
Reese. I have been waiting for her story. My favorite bookworm dropped cameos right and left. Her story was worth the wait. She gave her all and didn't hold back. She forgave. She found love.
Reading the slowish burn for these two was surprising. It made sense as the characters developed. They complemented one another and became better individually as a result of their friendship. Then, BAM! A sweet read indeed.
Navesink Bank and the areas connected to it keep growing and growing. I haven't invested this much time in books that are so linked. The characters are just amazing and the different series mesh and intertwine. This is why I love Jessica Gadziala. I'm not sure if definitively world building would be what this is, but that is what it is to me. Present day on Earth...
* Additional props to J.G. for using a character to point out that their sister hated it when people said "seen" when they were supposed to say "saw." With the exception of reading over my shoulder, that is my number one pet peeve. I f*cking hate it. :-)

I'm completely melted!

Holy blue balls, that was feckin amazing! That was probably, no, it was totally, the best ending I've read. It was not sappy, it was not open-ended, it fit these two like a moleskin glove. (I totally don't know what that is, but always assumed high quality) ;)

I love the dark and gritty, Wolf was always my favorite, but for the lighter stuff, this wins hands down. I liked how Cyrus was an unofficial part of the girls club and that he started out friends, that was very respectful and deserved. I know how long every one has anticipated Reese's story, and he was the best choice.

I would love to know how this author came upon her love for the mc genre and other crime type / romance stories, as they always seem so real and I love her book world!

Barrett coming soon? Hint...hint...

This was one awesome book. Loved the romance between Cy and Reese. Not a fast paced romance but a slow one where they start as friends. Cy is the perfect boyfriend who adores Reese and her quirky habits. We also see some of the previous characters of Henchmen and their interactions.
I recommend this book to everyone who like Kristen Ashley, Lani lynn vale. I love all works of Jessica Gadziala and can't wait to read her upcoming books.

I was so excited to get Cyrus' and Reese's story! I fell in love with Cyrus and swooned at how sweet he was and with how deeply he cared about Reese. Every girl deserves a guy who will go out of his way to make her happy. We deserve the big gestures and Cyrus handled them perfectly. Reese may be quiet and shy but she opened up to those important to her and it was charming watching she and Cyrus together.

I'm looking forward to reading more about these amazing characters in the world of Navesink Bank.

"3,5 Sweet Cyrus Stars:

This was such a sweet story! And I know its about a Henchmen member, but Cyrus was amazing! It's the only drama free and violence free book of this series (I think) and I really liked that! It was about a hot guy falling in love with the nerd librarian! Yeahhh I know pretty hot and sweet too!

Cyrus and Reese were so damn cute! They were so opposite but at the same time so perfect for each other! They started as friends, but let's be serious here would that stop them from pursuing more..??? Didn't think so! ;p

And so the fun begins...

My Girl got her happy ever after.

I must say that out of all Jessica's leading ladies I have always related the most to Reese. So I had imagined what her story and man would be like, but my mind just did not do it justice. This book was just so perfect for me. Reese is so amazing inside and out. As a fellow bookaholic I cherish that part of her. Cyrus was seriously the best choice for her. He just got her. I mean really got her. I cried happy tears when he took her out of town. To see him so content and happy to be able to do something so cool for Reese was the sweetest thing. Reese was so happy and that just made me so happy for her. I honestly went through so many emotions reading this. I am so sad it is over, but so happy to have been able to experience it. I can seriously never thank Jessica enough for her ability to write these amazing stories. I am forever waiting on my next fix. If you have not jumped aboard the Jessica Universe you are missing out. I highly recommend reading any and all her books. You will fall in love with her characters. Can't wait to see what to see what you write next Jessica ❤❤❤

Quick(ish) Review

This is more of an anomaly in this OG Henchmen series, very sweet and cute, with a socially awkward FMC and a ladies man of a MMC, little conflict and just a hint of the upcoming issues in the overarching storyline. Basically, if you like the WTFery of the earlier books, this probably isn’t your cuppa. I, otoh, enjoyed it even with the slightly problematic descriptions of the heroine and her family in general (though I’m not sure when this came out so I’m cutting it a little slack with the “exotic” comments, still could be better). After my issues with the middle section of this series, I’m just cherry picking my way to the end and I’m not sad I read this.

This will be my first review I've ever written. I'm just not articulate enough to brave the world of reviewing books, but I just had to say how much I loved this book! I started reading Jessica Gaziala's books back in May and devoured her books (I'm ashamed to say I have not read the Green series, Stars Landing or the Surrogates). Something about this book just resonated with me. I loved Reese and I loved how Cyrus was with her! From all the review I've been reading, there are so many of us like Reese, would rather be in the book world than in the real world, but maybe its not so bad out there :)
Anyway, I just had to say how much I loved this book and may need to re-think on starting those other 3 series I haven't gotten to yet. Thank you Jessica for getting out these books so quickly!! Its so painful waiting months to years to read a book from a favorite author!!

So perfect!

Who would have thought a biker and a bookworm could be one of the cutest, sweetest and best couples of Jessica's Navesink Bank universe? Reese and Cyrus are the real deal. And Cyrus is the guy that all is girls who are bookworms dream of. Someone who supports your love of books. Someone who encourages your love of books and someone who isn't threatened by your love of books.
Cyrus isn't an over the top Alpha, but he didn't need to be. That's not who Reese needed. Instead Cyrus is laid back (but knows what he wants) and treats Reese like the queen she is.
Jessica Gadziala knocked it out of the park again with this book. I think this couple will go down as one of my absolute favorites out of all her books. I wish I had more than 5 stars to give because this book was perfect and amazing in every way.

5 Happy Ever After Stars

I know I say this after ever Jessica Gadziala but this was totally my favourite! Reese is my girl... She works in a library - I work in a library! This book was amazing, not like all the other Henchmen books, it was sweet and beautiful story that I read in one sitting and I on't do that often, that pesky thing called life normally gets in the way.

Cyrus is the right amount of Alpha male and Reese is the perfect leading lady. She comes off shy at the start but then you realize she's not wilting flower she can take on her own!

I highly recommend picking this book up and reading it. If your a Susan Elizabeth Phillips or Kristen Ashley fan this will be for you.

Cyrus and Reece were just pure goals!!! The fact that this badass MC Henchman fell for the shy bookworm was just amazing. I loved this story so so much. I have been obessed with Reece since reading her siblings' stories and now finally getting her book where her perfect match is the larger than life Cyrus was just brilliant. 4 stars! ~Ratula

Cyrus is book 9 in The Henchmen series and I'm still loving it. Although this one was definitely the lightest of them all. There is a situation that is brewing, we had the tragedy with Summer's dad, V and the Abruzzo's are back. None of this really touched Cyrus and Reese, their story was really sweet. Cyrus the man-whore was such a caring, loving and thoughtful man. Reese the book worm was absolutely adorable especially when she lost herself in her book worlds. While the are definitely an unlikely couple they fit perfectly. Up next is Edison, I can't wait.

I do believe this might be one of my favorites from this author. I love that once Cyrus met her, he wasn't with anyone else. I love that once they got together, that was it, no separations. They were separated for 5 weeks while they were just friends. Perfect read.

This is one of THE LIGHTEST and SWEETEST book by Gadziala. Also one of my personal favorites because I wasnt expecting such a cute story.
I loved Cyrus since previous installments, and I somehow knew there wasnt going to be a middle-ground for him: he was going to be brought to his knees either by the toughest of chicks or by the sweetest. Im sooo happy the author went with the latter.
I was totally into Reese because (ehem!), to be honest, I saw a lot of myself in her, not the shyness, per say (I talk a mile a minute with new people if given the chance) but the bookworm-ish. So me! Therefore, I loved the fact that she got her HEA with her very own biker book boyfriend.
And the fact that we still have more to go and plotholes to fill makes me giddy!!! Cant wait!!!

Another amazing book by Jessica

I discovered Jessica's books a couple months ago, and have since devoured nearly all of her books. But Cyrus? I didn't devour. I soared through the clouds when reading this book in one big happy daze. I have never read a more swoon worthy man then Cyrus. I connected with Reece the instant I started the book. I haven't been this in love with a book in so long. I was literally smiling like a school girl throughout the whole book.
