A homicide detective and his Miami vice partner must take action before this winter buries them.
Miami, Florida. 1982. Metro-Dade Homicide Detective Scott Maverick is tailing a suspect with possible connections to the Russian mob.
After he uncovers their plot to carve out a chunk of the city’s drug game with a new product, Miami Winter, Scott must partner up with a Vice detective to bust the case wide open.
But when they discover the true meaning behind the name Miami Winter, Scott finds himself caught up in a war with a rival nation. How far is Scott willing to go to stop this new threat, and stop World War III?
This hard-hitting crime thriller drops two of Miami’s finest in a firestorm of chaos, inspired by classic 80s action movies and police procedurals.
Brian Manning grew up in Las Vegas, loving comic books, Sci-Fi Movies/TV, video games, ninja/samurai stuff, cartoons, and any other kind of "pop culture" media a kid could get their hands on in the 80s. He started to enjoy and appreciate reading after graduating from High School. Mostly genre fiction, with the majority of it being science fiction. Immersed in the world of RPGs and comics, he has been drawing and writing for most of his life. Only recently has he started writing full-length fiction novels.

This was not bad but it was not up to the Manning brothers standard of excellence. There was little background and character development. The way they brought the story seemed forced and confusing to have two separate sections of the Police work together on a case with only two men working the case didn’t work for me and without support from higher up when they think it could involve National Security. Come on you guys are way better than that.
This was one exciting roller coaster ride!! These two don't have to go very far to get in trouble and I mean trouble up to their eyeballs😂 this was a great read and I'll have to read the next book!
Miami Vice meets Lethal Weapon in this Action Thriller straight of the 80s!!!
I enjoyed this immensely. I knew what I was getting into since I’m familiar with the Manning brothers work, but I enjoyed every second of this homage to the over the top buddy-cop action movies of my Millennial youth.
Now I wish I could rent this movie from a Blockbuster video.
Great work! Looking forward to reading Nuclear Winter.
