I really enjoyed reading Roommates by Skye Faun. I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters. The story only has the occasion leap where you go well that was fast or that was glossed over but not enough to distract from how much I enjoyed the story. *I voluntarily am reviewing an Advanced Reader Copy of this book that I received through Shifted Sheets Book Promotions.*
When I first picked this up, I liked Tim from the beginning. When you meet Byron, he's not the typical jock and he's protective of Tim, but some of his choices don't make sense. He obviously has friend who are gay and he's attracted to men, but he forces himself to have sex with women to keep up his football persona.
Tim on the other hand is confident in who he is, and although shy, tries to fit in by asking Byron to take him to a frat party. The connection between Tim and Byron deepen, but the next morning Byron freaks out.
There is a lot of internal dialogue in this book where I would've liked to see more interaction between the two. I liked the ending, but I could've used more of a getting to know them apart from long bits of narrative.
A quick and cute friends to lovers story that I really enjoyed.Byron and Tim are wonderfully endearing characters who become really good friends as roommates in college. I really like watching their relationship transition from friends to lovers. But can Byron, the supposedly heterosexual jock, accept that he is gay and accept his relationship with Tim. This was kinda meh for me. Tim and Byron are roommates. Tim is out; Byron says he's straight but he's really gay. Tim develops a crush on Byron and we learn Byron's really gay. Given this premise, I expected more angst, drama about the relationship. Instead, Byron hooks up with Tim and then treats him like crap.
There's an HEA but its so naive that I didn't like it. Very rose-colored look at having a crush on your roommate
Roommates is sweet story with likable characters and some chuckles throughout. The angst is pretty low and the pacing is good. The drawback was that there was nothing to set it apart from other college roommate romances, which made it predictable and a little too reminiscent of other books that I've read.
MM. Tim and Byron are college freshman and roommates. Tim is out, but shy and never been with anyone. Byron is afraid if who he is and living for his father. A quick, typical college first-time gay read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Beautifully written, poetic story about two college freshmen. One is openly gay and a virgin, the other is closeted. Some evaluation leads the closeted guy to embrace his true identity. Typo: inconsistent plurals. Sometimes r's, sometimes rs.
Roommates by Skye Faun. Second book by this author and still not disappointed. Wonderful storyline! Great characters! Read it straight through. Couldn't put it down. Would love to read more about Tim and Byron! I'm voluntarily reviewing an arc copy of this book that I received through Shifted Sheets Promotions.
I actually didn't finish this story. It was available for free, so I started but it just didn't suck me in. There was nothing particularly bad about it, I was just a bit bored.

This is a sweet and hot mm romance. Even though it's a short story, the characters are complex and enjoyable. They're quite opposites, but both are struggeling and fumbling to find their way together. The storyling is engrossing and well written.
