Doctor's Orders
Hospital porter Aaron Miller isn’t expecting a very exciting birthday. I thought this was a sweet story when I read it a few years ago and I'm glad I gave it a go in audio. The narrator, Mitchell Pet, does a nice job with the characters. He brings them to life and I enjoyed the emotion he infuses into the scenes.
Established couple on a romantic getaway, exploring a few new toys... well written and a lot of fun.

Wasn't this book a pleasant little surprise. I'm not sure how this ended up in my wishlist. But the price was good and the narrator sounded good in the sample so I went for it. And... Well... Lets be real.. This narrator could have been reading the phone book and I would have happily purchased it. His voice is so pleasing he definitely was a good choice for this book. I swear he has a Gerard Butler type sound to his voice. Yummmyy..
And If you want a book that is basically all sex with a little bit of story thrown in this is it. you've picked the right book.
The two men. Aaron and Blake have been together a decade. There wasn't a whole lot of character development, or backstory on their relationship but I don't think it was really needed for this short book. Even after being together for so long they still like to meet up for hot sex in empty random rooms at the hospital where they work. They get some time off work to go away on vacation for Aarons birthday. That pretty much sums up the entire story of the book.. Every Single Other Thing is SEX. I had Zero clue that there was a BDSM aspect in this book before getting into it, but it does, and this book is Dirty and Hot. And made even hotter by the narration.
And If you want a book that is basically all sex with a little bit of story thrown in this is it. you've picked the right book.

Audiobook review
What a little gem of a story. Blake and Aaron play in the bedroom rather than 24/7, so this glimpse into their busy life was perfect. Aaron wasn't really expecting to celebrate his birthday their working schedules made it difficult to be together, so being pulled into a cupboard by his Doctor boyfriend Blake started the story off in the perfect way. I loved how Lucy Felthouse conveyed the depth of their relationship so quickly at the start and established the nature of their D/S relationship as well. The games they played on their weekend away were hot and fun.
I've never listened anything narrated by Peter Revel-Walsh before. I admit his accent took me awhile to settle into but once I had he was perfect for these two British lads. My view of the narration is that the story was read me rather than performed, which was fine. I had no difficulty identifying who was speaking in this style and I think it suited the story. Overall I think it's perfect if you want to listen to a short steamy feel good story.

Sweet and Kinky, 3 1/2 Stars
I read/listened to this story with whispersync.
This is romantic erotica... I expected hot and kinky. And Lucy Felthouse doesn't disappoint. There is bdsm, mostly mainstream fare between a loving couple. I'm trying to avoid spoilers but there is one noticeable exception which amped up the play.
What was a surprise, and a happy surprise at that, was that I enjoyed the characters' softer and tender moments just as much. I liked that this story revolved around an established couple. The caring, and the trust, were believable and present even during the sexy scenes. It was also enjoyable not to have manufactured drama...
As for the audiobook, I hadn't listened to this narrator before and he did a good job and enhanced the story. There was no hesitancy during the sex scenes and that accent just amped up the heat! If you're not sure about accents, give the sample a listen before you pass on this. You might find yourself liking what you hear - I know I did.
Overall, this was steamy read/listen. It is a solid 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. It was a fun way to spend an hour and a half. While I might not listen to it repeatedly, it was definitely an enjoyable listen.

The most memorable sing to me was when Blake came back from being out all day and brought Aaron a couple of new toys. Aaron was not expecting any of that and was a bit surprised and nervous about the entire situation.
I think the narrator Peter Revel-Walsh brought the story alive. Most narrator's when they are having to do two points of view or more. All the characters 10 to sound alike. However Aaron and Blake sounded like two different characters and I really appreciated that.
I really enjoyed the story because it shows that even though two people have to demanding careers they still make time for one another. Also I have to say I really enjoy Lucy Felthouse's books. Always makes me want to have that type of significant other who is just a bit kinky and also a bit sweet and caring. She always writes boyfriend goals when it comes to her characters.

Hot doctors, Yes Please!
Had me at hot doctors, lost me in the middle, but then went out with a bang!
This story is about a pair of hot medical professionals who are over-worked and can't get the alone time they so badly desire. Blake Colville is a doctor, no specialty specified, while his partner Aaron Miller is a hospital porter. (To be honest, I had never heard of that title so I had to look it up. It's a job title only in the UK. It's basically the errand runners for the nurses or physicians that essentially fills the gaps.) Even though the two live together, they are often on opposite schedules cutting into their quality time. Blake plans a hot weekend away for Aaron's birthday so they can catch up on all they have been missing without interruption. That's when things get really hot!
These boy are really into the kink. It starts off mild and moves into things I've never even heard of before. That’s where they lost me. It takes you out of the story if you have to stop to look up stuff. The stuff I had to look up was way past the common paddles and handcuffs. It was also past my level of interest. I know it's about mutual pleasure and the act of submitting is part of that pleasure, but I would have had to use my safe word, sorry.
Thankfully that is not what it ended on. The story brought us on back to the love they share for each other and closed out with a romantic interlude to leave you all warm fuzzy! So despite the little part in the middle, it was overall a great story!
The narrator was Peter Revel-Walsh. His voice is pleasant and enjoyable to listen to and as for the story voice, and the non-main character voices, it was easy to distinguish the differences. As for the two main characters it gets a bit confusing. Blake is the dominant one so the more demanding words often come from him, but sometimes you just can't tell who is talking. It's not a huge deal because either way it's still just the two of them and they are H-O-T-!
Overall I give this 4 of 5 stars!

I've become a fan of Lucy Felthouse's novellas. Her characters are quick to love and quick to jump in the sack, but it all just works.
In this particular book, our leading men are already in a relationship. That allows this book to jump right into the sex while maintaining the healthy relationship between the characters.
This story is free of drama. It is full of fun, love, and sexy times. It is smut for the sake of smut.
And sometimes that's really all you need in a book. Smutty smut. No drama. Love.
Thanks for the light read, Ms. Felthouse. I needed this break from the drama.

Doctors Orders by Lucy Felthouse was a good read. It is Aaron's birthday but he wasn't expecting to do anything special since he and his boyfriend work in hospitals. This was a good read.

Listened to audio narrated well by Mitchell Pett. Loved his accent, loved listening to his narration. One note, audible says the narrator is Mitchell Pell but Goodreads says it's Peter Revel-Walsh, since I listened through Audible I'm giving credit to Mitchell Pett.

Two men, partners, on a mini holiday, party to celebrate one's birthday. I enjoyed the first half but once they hit their hotel room sexy turned to kink, and I mean really kinky, I'm not a prude but it was a teensy bit too much for me, I skimmed through some of it. The two men were very likeable characters, when they weren't going at it, kinky aside I enjoyed their story.

It's Aaron's birthday but he's portering at the hospital on one shift and his lover Blake is doctoring at the same hospital but on the opposite shift. Expecting a lonely night, Aaron is very pleasantly surprised by a sexy rendezvous in a store cupboard. A steamy, feel good short story.

It was....eh, really kind of boring. I wouldn’t put this in the romance category, per se, more of an extended erotic scene since almost the entire story is just a sex scene. Although I find moderate BDSM quite hot when incorporated into a fuller story, I was really bored with this. I found myself dozing a few times and started skimming in places just to get through it.
