Good Read.

Uttanka story is incomplete. He does not forgive Takshaka who stole the earrings. He visits King Janamejaya and instigates him to conduct a SarpaSatra yagam to kill all the snakes of the world. The Uttanka story is linked to the opening sequences of Vyasa Mahabharata. The sage Vaisampayana recites the Vyasa MahaBharatam at the SarpaSatra yagam and stops it.The sage UgraShravas recites what he heard at the SarpaSatra yagam > to the sages of NaiMisha forests.
