Jameson Martin was the presidential candidate who needed a wife. I needed a way out of debt. The moment I agreed to be his pretend fiancée, all our problems should have been solved. Instead, things got complicated. Publicly, we were the picture of patriotic perfection. Privately, we struggled with the one thing that wasn’t in our plan – more. I didn’t realize how lonely my life was until Jameson filled it with everything I was missing. His passionate commitment to public service earned my vote; his icy blue gaze and the way he gave me a purpose stole my heart. But I wanted to be his partner, not his secret. And I wanted the one thing that Jameson struggled to give me – his heart.

I was first indoctrinated into the romance genre by my babysitter who watched hours upon hours of daytime soap operas. I harbored many inappropriate crushes on fictional characters such as John Black from “Days of Our Lives,” Orry Main from the min-series “North & South,” and Edward Fairfax Rochester from Jane Eyre. I am still in love with Davy Jones from The Monkees.

I currently live in the Southwest with my husband, tiny four-year-old terror, and a tuxedo cat with a limp. When I'm not swooning over book boyfriends or dreaming up romances, I can be found educating the youth of America. Or eating tacos

This book was different for me for a couple different reasons. One being that I have never read anything by Rebecca Gallo which is something I need to fix ASAP. Second being that I don't read a lot of romances that are political romances so I had no idea if I would love this book because of these two things. Presidential Bargain knocked it out of the park for me. It won me over and had me completely in its clutches the entire time. I could not put it down because things kept getting thrown at this couple one right after the next.

Jameson thought that finding himself a "fiance" would fix his standing in the polls never taking into account everything that would come his way once he went down this road. One Georgie isn't someone who is going to sit there and be run over. She has a mind of her own and I loved her immediately. Let's not forget this is a race for the seat in the OVAL OFFICE!!! People are going to want to see him lose and with that comes a dirty battle. Unfortunately Georgie is going to pay the price the most in it all.

Will they be able to keep their emotions out of their deal? Things get super complicated the more time they spend together. Who is the one behind all the bad press? Who is the one set out to hurt them?

Never thought Jameson would win me over but in the end he turned things around for me. I highly recommend this book. The author did a wonderful job giving us a story that will have you completely hooked.

I had the opportunity to read an ARC of this book.

Rebecca Gallo brought the heat with this book. I was on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what would happen next. And, just when I thought I might hate Jameson - he proved himself in more ways than one.

Loved this political romance! I’m not usually a fan of fake relationships but it makes more sense to me in political romances so I just rolled with it. Glad I did! I loved the push and pull between these two. Highly recommend! 5 stars, two thumbs up!

Presidential Bargain by Rebecca Gallo
4 stars!!!

“Will you still want me if you don’t win?”

I love reading new authors and this was one that called to me purely because of it being political. I love reading political romances, especially ones about presidential races with all the under-hand tactics and the “I will do anything” attitude to win. Rebecca Gallo delivered the perfect balance of politics and romance with Presidential Bargain, enough to sate both reading loves while delivering a believable, all-consuming story. A sign of a good book is a single sitting read and this was one of those books for me and for a debut author to achieve that is no mean feat.

Yes, this is a fake fiancée trope, which has been done so many times, but, this was one of the best that I have read. I fell in love with this couple from the outset, the underlying sexual chemistry was forever present and I loved that the heroine in this story was no door-mat. Georgie was strong-minded, she stood up for herself and what she believed in and with a man as hard headed as Jameson this led to many an entertaining confrontation. Georgie was a school teacher but her immersion into politics was fluid, she had the head for it, the drive and the ambition, the perfect fiancée for a man as politically driven as Jameson.

“You have no idea how lonely the past few years have been. He has no idea how lonely I’ve been. Now, I have everything I didn’t know I wanted, and he has this awesome power to take it all away.”

Jameson was the “peoples” candidate, he came from humble beginnings, had been in the military and had now turned his hand to politics. Jameson wanted to run a clean campaign and while the candidate he was up against was one of America’s wholesome, family-oriented, well-loved politicians, it seems his integrity and under-hand tactics held no bounds. This book was full of surprises, intense at times, intriguing, suspenseful and totalling engrossing.

“Her expression was genuine. But, was mine? Or was it a mask?”

The growth in both characters plays out in glorious technicolour as Georgie finds her voice and her inner-strength and Jameson finds his heart. Neither wanted romance, neither thought that they would even like one and other, but they both needed each other. As I said above, the chemistry was on point, the development in them as a couple went at a great pace and the change in both of them as they fell was heart-warming.

This book has something for everyone, action, love, politics and one incredibly hot romance. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and will definitely be keeping an eye out for future books from this author. For a debut, this author nailed it.

Right from the start, Rebecca Gallo captured my interest in with her book Presidential Bargain. She kept my interest by building an intriguing story line and developing memorable characters, whose connection dug deep into my heart. The twists and turns of the plot kept me burning through the pages to find out what would happen next.

In this story you meet Presidential Candidate Jameson Martin. He is ahead in the polls, but one hole his campaign is that he is single. He and his closest political advisors come up with a plan to change this. Get him a fiance, well a fake one. The woman he finds just might be the answers to more of his problems than he could have ever realized.

Georgie Washington has been hanging on to everything she holds dear by a thread. Since loosing her parents, she has been doing all that she can to survive. Jameson Martin's proposal was not one she considered lightly. Taking him up on his offer would totally unhinge her life, but it might be worth the risks.

I seriously nearly read this entire book in one sitting. I am new to Rebecca as an author and I have to say I loved the concept, the storyline and the characters in Presidential Bargain. Rebecca Gallo created a world I didn't want to leave filled with quick wit, banter and combustible chemistry. This book does tell a complete story, but I am glad that it is not the end of Georgie and Jameson's tale. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.

I thought this was a well written debut!

Jameson is hoping to be the next President of the US, to improve his image he is seeking a fake fiancee, enter the very feisty and opinionated Georgie.

I loved how this couple worked together, their attraction was completely believable, they had common goals and interests. It wasn't like a constant battle, their issues generally came from other peoples interference, i liked that vibe. The steamy scenes were hot, hot, hot!

Jameson was all alpha, arrogant but protective, his lack of communication skills with Georgie was sometimes frustrating, I was glad she didn't stand for his BS! Georgie was strong, smart and funny, genuinely kind and thoughtful, but not sickly sweet!

I look forward to seeing where the author will take this couple with the second book

Rebecca Gallo's debut novel Presidential Bargain is a one sitting must read! Jameson Martin is your new Justin Trudeau, he's a sexy politician that will make your heart swoon!

What I love about Presidential Bargain is that Rebecca takes you on a ride that keeps you on your toes. The story is a fast-paced page turner but not an insta-love story between Jameson and Georgie. As Georgie begins to see a future with Jameson, Jameson struggles to keep his focus on the campaign and not on the love he is beginning to feel for Georgie.

Throughout the story they are faced with unforeseen events that are made to rock the foundation they are trying to build together but in the end, they come out stronger. Presidential Bargain is a story about accepting love and cherishing the support it gives you during the highs and lows in life!

I received this book through an author giveaway and I was so excited to read it. I loved the couple, and characters. Georgie was surprisingly easy to love and I knew Jameson needed a redemption arc so I jumped right in and finished the book within 3 slow days at work.
My biggest problem was the ending. It just...it was too much in the worst way. I don't want to write any spoilers but it's exactly what I didn't want, and I found myself rolling my eyes through the last couple chapters. That's why I have 4 stars, not 5.

However, I still want to know about the presidency and how they grow as a couple. I'm a huge political drama girl and love House of Cards and Scandal, so if you like those shoes, you'll probably like this book. Awesome first book for Rebecca!

Presidential Bargain by Rebecca Gallo

"Falling for her wasn't part of the bargain, and now I feel like we need to renegotiate."
James will make you want to like him one minute and slap him the next. You will feel for Georgie as she struggles with her conscience and the love she feels.
"We didn't acknowledge each other, but I felt his heated gaze watching me. I found a mug, filled it with coffee, and with a glance back at the handsome, brooding man who tracked my movements with his glacial blue eyes, I headed downstairs. ... I wanted him more than anything else"

There is drama to keep you intrigued with one hell of a twist to shock! Well played Rebecca Gallo.

I voluntarily received an ARC to honestly review Presidential Bargain.

5 There's So Much More To Their Story Stars!!!

What an amazing debut novel by Ms. Gallo! I was grabbed by the synopsis of this book thinking to myself, I've never read a book where the hero is going to try to pull one over on the American public by "hiring" a wife. Well, not only did we get the story that we read in the synopsis, we got so much more.

There's a love story that takes everyone by surprise, murder, intrigue, suspense and an ending I never saw coming. The ability for an author to draw the reader in from the very beginning is a skill that is usually developed over time. However, Ms. Gallo has delivered a story that had me invested from the very first page.

Jameson and Georgie have a little history together that makes what Jameson and his team are suggesting a little more palatable than you'd think. It certainly doesn't hurt that our H is tall, dark, handsome, highly intelligent and oh so sexy. And the draw between them is so strong you can almost feel it coming off the pages. While neither one of them would have thought of this plan on their own, once they come to terms, and yes, there are negotiated terms, it really is, let the race begin stakes!

Once our H/h start to spend a considerable amount of time together, they recognize that their situation has become so much more, but are afraid to mention it for fear they'll be rejected and one thing neither one can handle is that. But I digress....as they give into their attraction, Ms. Gallo delivers a level of heat that had the heat rising in my cheeks and I had to stop and fan myself! Who knew that's what goes on behind those campaign doors?!?!

As the book plays out, there are actions that cause quite the drama for both our H/h and the Presidential race as well. Things that had me gasping and my heart racing with the intrigue that was created by the stunningly fabulous level of detail that Ms. Gallo has given us with each scene and character.

To say that I'm anxiously awaiting Capitol Promises is putting it mildly because OH EM GEE we've got quite the ending for this impressive and extraordinary debut novel!!!

Presidential Bargain is a fake fiancée story full of mystery and drama. I read it straight through in one day, barely pausing to eat. Yes, it's that good.

Jameson is driven, protective, and swoon worthy. Every woman needs a Jameson to adore her. Georgie is sweet, intelligent, and strong. I related to her in many ways. Together they were the perfect team. I fell in love with them both.

The plot was riveting and intense. It seems like every time Jameson and Georgie overcame one obstacle, another one was thrown their way. The twists and turns kept me constantly on the edge of my seat. Some very sensitive topics were addressed and handled brilliantly.

Presidential Bargain was my first book by Rebecca Gallo. It appears to be her debut book, and it was absolutely outstanding! My only complaint is that I wish I had known going in that it would end on a cliffhanger. I anxiously anticipate the next book, Capitol Promises.

Darn near perfect faux relationship story with a political setting. Likeable leads and a well paced story make for a compelling read. Ends with an HFN for the leads but with a teaser for more drama in book two. I *need* book 2 asap!

It’s election season and Jameson Martin is on the campaign trail and looking to bring up his poll numbers. As a leader, he ticks all the right boxes, except for one, and one the American people can’t seem to get on board with.. the fact that he’s a bachelor. When his campaign team approach a girl from his past who seems to be down on her luck, and also has the perfect name for the position (Georgie Washington), they bring her to Jameson’s attention to see if their fake fiancee scheme will fool the American people when they wander into a voting booth.

Georgie and Jameson agree to the terms of the deal and smartly play up their love story and engagement to the public. Not only do his poll numbers climb, but so does her popularity and the attention brought upon her. This has both good and bad effects. For one, us readers find out how strong-minded and smart Georgie is, and how much she has at stake in helping Jameson win a successful campaign, but on the downside, she’s thrown into the lion’s den and becomes the pawn in some cut throat mud-slinging and slander brought about by Jameson’s opposition.

Realizing that not only his campaign, but also his future bride are in jeopardy, Jameson strategizes and moves all his pawns into the perfect attack position, win his voters, and keep Georgie safe.

Like I said, I read this book to gain some inspiration and get me out of my writing slump for my own story, but Bargain sucked me in right from page one and was off the charts with plenty of drama and even more heat. What began as a ploy to win The White House became something so much more once Jameson and Georgie stopped fighting temptation and became a real team. Needless to say, I left this story with not only a strong desire to get back to my own writing, but also with a stronger desire to pick up book two.

I love a good political romance and this book is one of the best I've read. Georgie and James pull off the fake fiance story line with the best of them!
I especially loved Goergie. She never strayed from who she was. She used her newfound celebrity to champion causes that were near and dear to her heart. She remained grounded in her beliefs and didn't let the pressures of the campaign change her. For this reader, she was just what James needed to stay grounded in a world where power and influence mean everything and can make you or break you.
Speaking of James....WOW! Brooding, sexy, compassionate James. He plays his emotions close to the vest and can you blame him? He reminded me a lot of my husband in that aspect. Which is why I fell in love with him.
The story takes a turn that will have you on the edge of your seat (I know it did mine!) and becomes quite the intriguing political dogfight. It's a jarring reminder just how dirty the game is and how some people will go to any lengths to win. Presidential Bargain isn't just a fake fiance story, it's a beautiful love story that shows you you have to fight for what you want...in all areas of life. I can't wait to see the rest of the story!

I read several political romances, and none of them have impressed me so far (or they were too focused on the bdsm, which I think was overestimated or lost political meaning). I love a good political romance and this book is one of the best I've read . Ms. Gallo has delivered a story that had me invested from the very first page. The twists and turns of the plot kept me burning through the pages to find out what would happen next. What starts out as a mutual beneficial bargain (I’m not usually a fan of fake relationships), soon turns into passion, hot hot sex and a romance that just blossoms as the plot. What started as fake slowly turns real. The ability for an author to draw the reader in from the very beginning is a skill that is usually developed over time, but she did it.
I have a few complaints ( one of them is a quick shift from a false relationship to sex , sometimes too sweet words from the male side and maybe a little lack of deeper emotions) but all in all, though, it was a realy satisfying read. Ms.Gallo does a good job for debut novel. If you are fun of political, romances,hot sex,surprise, murder, intrigue, suspense...I highly recommend this book that will keep you glued to your seat.

There is something about an overbearing asshole I love in a story. I think because when the author writes a fabulous counter part, the heroine is an equally strong person I can relate to. Rebecca Gallo has hit the right notes with her debut novel in Jameson and Georgie.

Although the synopsis would indicate that it is a political romance, the story focuses on the microscope that once you reach the interest in the pubic eye. Poor Jameson and Georgie cannot catch a break. Once one thing finally gets smoothed over, it seems like another issue is waiting in the wings which is all played out for the entertainment of the masses. The plot is a based on 'fiancee for hire' and Jameson tries his damnedest to make sure that everyone is aware that his singular focus is on winning the White House. But when you spend quality time with someone, it's hard for the heart to not to get involved. In typical romance fashion, lovely and giving Georgie who falls hard first. Wishes- as weird as it may seem - I wish at times there could have been more tension between the two as Jameson was almost my perfect asshole. However, if we are discussing sexual tension, Ms. Gallo can write a steamy scene and make you feel oh so swoony.

To be honest, I rarely take a chance on a debut author unless I have a trusted friend go first . I was fortunate to have won an ARC along with a friend. We both loved it. Now...here's the trying-not-to-be-spoiler. If you stop at the last chapter, you will have a very satisfyingly entertaining read. If you venture to the epilogue...you get a NO WAY moment. And you'll be with me waiting for the release of Capital Promises this fall. For a debut author, Rebecca Gallo has talent and can't wait to see what she offers next! 4.25 out of 5 stars

WHAT AN AMAZING DEBUT from Rebecca Gallo! I simply couldn't get enough of this highly addictive story! Jameson Martin is running for the President of the United States, and since he's single, his polls are starting to take a hit. So they come up with a plan to hire a fake finance/wife, and this is where Georgina Washington comes in. At first, she's like no way, basically tells him off, and walks out. Jameson decides that she's the one that he wants, so he talks her into it. It quickly becomes more than just a fake situation, as they find that they have a strong connection on the campaign trail. But Georgie wants his heart, and Jameson has a hard time giving that up. Presidential Bargain instantly sucked me in, and held me in it's fantastic grip cover to cover. Jameson and Georgie's chemistry is off the charts HOT HOT HOT, which ultimately leads to some SCORCHIN sexy times, but more than that, they were just perfect for each other. Rebecca Gallo showed a very talented writing style with her first book, and I'm so excited watch her evolve! Her twists & turns came out of left field, which left me dropping f-bombs right and left! Now here's where it gets to name calling, see, I'm going along and believe I'm getting my HEA, when BAM! A cliffhanger that I NEVER saw coming, so now I must put Ms. Gallo on my list of authors trying to KILL ME DEAD, and she starts out her career with being hash tagged forevermore, #EVILWHORE! There's no way for me to patiently wait for the next book, but while I sit her and call her colorful metaphors as I type, I will HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this fantastic book to ALL!

~~~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Jameson Martin was on his way to the oval office and the one thing that stood in his way was he needed a wife. So he found Georgina "Georgie" Washington who needed help saving her family home. She was the perfect woman for the job, maybe too perfect. Georgie had nobody and nothing in her life until Jameson swept her away on the campaign trail. I never knew how hard it would be to resist the feelings I have for him or the ones he is fighting against for me. Where will all this end when he no longer needs me?
Great book and start to this story. I love how Georgie just puts herself out there and with all she goes through she is still the stand up woman that never gives up. Jameson is so strong but he has always had one goal so I love that Georgie upsets everything in his life and makes him think about what is really important. This story is so good, it is sweet, sexy and full of political drama. I honestly cannot wait to read Capital Promises, the next book in this series. Definitely a must read book.
Presidential Bargain is Rebecca Gallo's debut novel and a VERY good book at that! I never thought I could get into a political type of romance but I can say I am pleasantly surprised how well this book blended the political field, a beautiful romance, sizzling chemistry and fabulous characters!
What starts out as a mutual beneficial bargain, soon turns into scorching passion, sweet friendship, SIZZLING HOT sex and a romance that just blossoms beautifully as the plot thickens. I really like Miss Gallo's writing and especially her characters. They have depth, passion, wonderful personalities and the story is well put together!
Oh my goodness, what an intriguing, sexy, and fun read that I didn't expect. I was hooked from the start and fell for Jameson and Georgie.
The 'deal' Jameson and Georgie agree to is provocative and stimulating. Their chemistry is off the charts.
But the twists and turns that I didn't see coming kept me glued to each word. I seriously couldn't get enough of this story. Just wow!
For a debut book, this is a sensational read. The story line is gripping, the passion is intense, and the journey is riveting.
So if you love political romances or not, I highly recommend you pick Presidential Bargain and find out why Jameson is the right choice.
This is Rebecca Gallo's debut novel, and let me tell you, it was fantastic!
Jameson is in the run of a lifetime, a run for the Presidency. He is a bachelor and his team thinks he needs someone by his side. Insert Georginia Washington, Georgie for short. They are the absolute dream team together.
This novel has the perfect amount of drama, love and hatred. It does end on a cliffhanger. So, of course, I cant wait for the second book!
