Better and better
Frank Victorsson is an unusual but marvelous hero, even when enchantment make him forget what is most important. Plus he has a cool axe.

Creative world building
I found the second Northern Creatures book to be very frustrating. I really liked Ellie. I really liked Ellie and Frank together. I really wanted Frank to be able to find a way to help Ellie. But he kept getting distracted by his annoying vampire brother. I'm also not a big fan of storylines that include manipulative exes, even if they have no idea that they're interfering in a relationship. So, all in all, I found this story very frustrating. I have to give the author full points for sticking to her rules when it comes to magic. There were no bending the rules, no convenient exceptions, and no wiggle room to help her characters out of a bad situation. I'm really hoping that the next book provides some relief for Ellie, or I'm going to be very disappointed.

Don't let the cover fool you. He's no badass...

Here's Frankenstein's monster. Frank Victorsson is super strong, super fast,scary, and nigh invulnerable. Hes got a super cool sentient axe. He's also constantly getting his ass handed to him by his enemies and has to be saved by the women in his life and the elves who took him. He spends the first half of book pining for an enchanted woman he keeps forgetting about. Then he spends the other half impaled to a fucking pike being tortured by the vampires and has to be saved by the people he was supposed to protect. Really?! This book is the Worf effect personified. If I want torture porn, I'll read Clive Barker novels.

Similar to the first book, Monster Born, I found this book original and enjoyable. However, it, too, sometimes didn't make sense or was a bit confusing at times. Though it was an interesting read, I felt a little frustrated by the main romance throughout the book. I desperately wanted the two enamoured protagonists to hit it off and live happily ever after, especially after all that they had gone through, but it was simply not to be. Sometimes I also found the story watered down since it hardly made any references to the lead characters in the first book. So, overall, I found it a little underwhelming. But it's still a great read and interesting take on the fantastical creatures that live within.

50% into this book and nothing had happened other than some YA nonsense about Frank falling instantly for some strange woman as you do.
Should be prosecuted under trade descriptions for calling this a story.
Second half of book is him impaled on a Pike whilst the dark lord and his minions threaten and argue with him and he does the whole maudlin introspective shtick. He’s rescued by everybody else at the end and it occurs to me that over two books our hero is in fact just a victim who is saved by others. He’s useless as a protagonist.
And still our authoress can’t write Man to save her life and we get a twee focus on how important characters pets are to them and a lot of silly Anthropomorphism. In fact the person who does for the dark lord is annoyed about his missing horses.

I loved Monster Born, the prior novel involving Frank Victorsson and the elves of Alfheim, Minnesota. Frankly I adore Frank and those elves. Just the very concept of Frankenstein’s Monster living, with elves, in Minnesota gets me happy for some reason.
No surprise then that I’ve been eagerly awaiting this novel, Round 2 of Frank & Co vs Super Vamps. Luckily for me (and for anyone else reading it) this book really delivers. A great and action filled plot. Great supporting cast of characters (special mention to Ellie Jones, and neat backstory: I hope she reappears in future novels).
If you are new to all of this then I strongly urge you to read Monster Born before this one. I can pretty much guarantee you will love both.

Vampire Cursed builds upon Frank Victorsson's backstory that starts in book 1, Monster Born, so I definitely recommend reading this series in sequential order. Frank finds out he has a "Brother" of sorts and is not the only "patch-work" creature put together by Dr. Frankenstein. "Brother" is supposed to be the better, badder model, and let's just say Alfheim is over-run by vampires, Frank gets trapped, and the only person who can help him is a seer that no one but Frank or non-magicals can see, but everyone forgets about her at every sundown due to fae magice and concealment enchantments. What a mess! As with all of Radcliffe's work, it's original writing, fast-paced, edge of your seat writing, amazing world-building, characters with depth, and will leave you begging for more.

Ellie Jones happens to be an anomaly everyone she meets forgets meeting her every day. Frank's brother is causing problems for Frank. Can Frank stop his brother? Will Frank remember Ellie? Your answers await you in Vampire Cursed.
This interesting story is fun to relate to on many levels. The characters are flawed, complex, complicated, mysterious, rich, bold, raw, and real. I want to continue reading this series now.

Another great read! Kris Austen Radcliffe is amazing! Absolutely love her books! I loved Ellie and Frank's chemistry. It was amazing! And Ellie's relationship with Marcus Aurelius was so adorable! The ending though made me sad! I was hoping for good things for Ellie and Frank! I hope to read more about Ellie! She seemed like a very strong character! Can't wait to read more!

Another amazing book by Kris Austen Radcliffe, my favorite indie author. She has a fantastic imagination that starts with "what if Frankenstein's monster met some elves living in Minnesota? adds some living, breathing complex characters, adds a dash of exciting magical situations and ends with an incredible story. This book has lots of romance, excitement and humor. I can't wait for the next installment. 5 stars.

Oh so so good. Kris Austen Radcliffe takes us where we didn't even know we wanted to go.
Victor is the son of "the" Dr. Frankenstein. Ellie Jones is enchanted. He would not remember her tomorrow. No one ever does.
But his brother is coming to town and he's a vampire(also made by Dr. Frankenstein). Go figure.
Have I enticed you enough. It is the season after all. ghouls and goblins and things that go bump in the night.

This is the second book in the Northern Creatures series and we get to watch as Frank meets Ellie Jones who is enchanted so no one can remember her. I love how the only one that remembers Ellie is Marcus Aurelius, Frank's dog. I love how all the characters in the story have grown since the first book and that the humor, excitement and romance is alive and well. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book

This was such a challenging time for our hero. It is like the author decided to mix "30 Days of Darkness" with "50 First Dates" and "The Singing Sword" to see what would happen and yet this wildly weird mashup works, which is a good thing for Frank. I would recommend this to fans of RJ Blain's "Outfoxed" or Jesse Alexander series; this would not be a good match to Blain's Romantic Comedy (with a Body Count) series.

Great book
I really enjoyed reading this book. It's a story about Frankenstein's monster, his vampire brother, and a cast of memorable characters that make up the town in Alaska where he resides. I'd recommend this book to fans of fantasy that like stories that shed positive light on some monsters.

Book 2 starts where 1 ends so I recommend reading in order. Northern Creatures is a fantastic series telling the tale of magical creatures and the world they live in. The approach on magic is fresh and unique. Getting to know these characters and their stories is a journey worth taking

Book two is just as amazing as book one! Frank has cleared Akeylas name, & found his companion as well as a new friend. But Dracula & his brother are hellbent on destroying Alfheim. It is nail biting from the start to finish!

Amazing narration by Mike Carnes and Julianne Scott.
Loved these stories and will definitely continue the series.

Over all an excellent read. I’m not usually a Frankenstein fan but, him having a backstory and something other than destroying everything and anything around him is pretty cool.
