Interesting and entertaining story! The writing flows great, and I enjoyed Decadent Kane's writing style. Bailey's aunt has died, and Bailey has been left her aunt's new age shop. The shop is in an area that is heavily populated by shifters called the Khimairans, which Bailey feels strongly against Khimairans, so she wants to hurry up and sell the shop, and get the heck out of there. But, Bailey is in for some shocking revelations about her family and herself. Dante is a Khimairan, he shifts into a Lion, and he has some things to talk with Bailey about; one of them being that she is his mate. There's a dangerous crew to contend with, and magical passages to protect, so there's lots of excitement to be had! The characters are great, and I enjoyed the romance! Some hot stuff! Definitely looking forward to reading more Decadent Kane!

Why? Well what does one want with the same creatures who ripped her world apart. Or did they?
Bailey thinks she knows what she is but does she?
She has notes and other items but has no clue what anything means. Aside from the note says to trust Dante.
Can Dante save her and have her?

Khimairas are not usually depicted as good guys. After all, their mother has been called "The Mother of All Monsters". But author Decadent Kane has given us a new twist with Untamed that is unique and refreshing. Here, these shifters are portrayed as fierce but benevolent beings who are set to protect the world from those who would use them for their own warped purposes. Alpha Dante has been waiting for the new portal guardian to appear and holding back his slide into primal beast as best he can. He will be lost to his beast and condemned to death if he doesn't find his mate soon. He gets both when Baily appears. He recognizes her as both guardian and mate. She wants nothing but to hit the road and keep as far away from Khimairans as possible. Will he be able to convince her to stay and assume her roles as both guardian and fated mate? Will he be able to protect her from the evil Bellers who wish to destroy and doom all Khimairans? Read this book to find out for yourself.

Family tradition has kept the portal safe for generations, but the newest guardian that the privilege has been passed to is oblivious to everything. The alpha needs to help her embrace her inherited destiny in top of her fated destiny. Slam dunked me right into this riveting storyline! Actually my first read by this author and I am really pleased! The strength and loyalty of a Leo is captured beautifully by the mighty alpha! And the pages sizzle when the fated pair finally accept each other. Find a comfy seat readers for you truly will want to devour each page non stop!

Decadent Kane is great at taking mythology and fantasy beings/creatures and turning them on their heads do that her readers get a totally new perspective on them. In Untamed she's done that with Khimairas. Dante and Bailey's story is a great one of destined (but resisted) love, fundamental misunderstandings to be overcome, suspense, thrills and adventure. The world building, with it's gates to be guarded, is superb. The plot is strong and lead and supporting characters multi-layered and wonderful. This is hand's down a great book and highly recommended.

Bailey has no known family left living, her father died from drinking too much and her mom and aunt were killed by Khimairans. After all what else would have that of an animal flash in their eyes. Bailey's aunt has given her shop to Bailey but what Bailey didn't expect was to find a co-owner so to speak, Dante. What she doesn't realize is that he's the very thing she hates. Dante realizes his old friends niece is his mate but she hates all things Khimairans. Will he be able to convince her that it wasn't his people that killed her mother and aunt? Loved this story and the struggles that both Bailey and Dante faced with coming to terms with who they were to one another.

A great addition to the zodiac series. Love the story behind the shifters. Both of the main characters are great. Bailey has a past we're she doesn't trust the shifters. But Dante is about to show her the truth about her past and what she means to him. Lots of action and a great ending for the couple. Can't wait to read more from the series.

This book was a quick and enjoyable read! 4,5 stars!
Bailey inherited her estranged aunt‘s shop. The main problem for her is that it is located in a city full of shifters and she hates them because she has been told all her life that they are horrible, selfish creatures who are responsible for her mother‘s death. Naturally all she wants to do is sell all the stuff and the shop, and get out of there as fast as possible! But it’s not all as it seems and as she has been told!
But everything changes when she finds her aunt‘s letter with a pendant inside. She is more connected to the shop and the shifter community than she thought.
On top of that she meets Dante: not only a shifter himself but also their Alpha. Who claims to be a friend of her aunt and that Bailey is very important to the shifter community. Little does she know how especially important she is for Dante as it turns out that she is his true mate.
Will Dante be able to show her that the shifters are not her enemy? Will he be able to make her fall in love with him and be his mate?
Find out by reading the book! I can recommend it to anyone who likes mythology, HEA, strong characters, action and romance!
*I deduced half a star because certain pieces of information were repeated several times throughout the book, sometimes even in the same chapter. For such a quick read I didn’t feel like it was necessary.
Also there were some minor spelling mistakes that sometimes interrupted my reading flow.

Khimairans are shifters destined to be lost to their animal side if they can't find their true mate... but aside from that pressure they also must be careful because hunted for their powers by a faction who spread words that they are savage beasts and must be annihilated.
Bailey has been indoctrinated by her father to believe that they are beasts responsible for her mother's death...she is very set to avoid Khimairans and to stay on the road so when she learns she has inherited her aunt shop she is not sure what to make of that especially in a city full of those she see as the enemy. She sure doesn't have an open mind and while i understand the "how" and "why" she did get on my nerves at first. However when it's needed she is courageous and very determined she grew on me.
Dante is a good alpha, courageous, loyal and a fierce warrior. A lion is his favourite form and it fits him well.
It's a universe new to me but the description made it captivating and this story seemed too short when finished as it was really good...it's dark, there are a lot of violence but some humour ( very light)- i loved the little dragon Smokey- and the romance is well done

This book will quickly grab your attention and keep you in the story! I love the background on the shifters origin. Bailey is the heir to a shop in Currance Colorado. The shop is called The Talisman and she;s inherited from her Aunt Nady. She;s there to do one thing--take stock of the place, sell it and get the heck out of there. She hates the Khimairans, or shifters because according to her father they were the cause of her mother;s death and eventually her fathers. Dante is a lion shifter, or the form he likes to take. He has been going to the shop to see if Nady;s niece has arrived. On this night when he shows up, he finds her on the floor almost passed out. When he introduces himself as Dante, forget telling her about his alter ego, she lets him know she;s selling and leaving as fast as she can. Dante is not only shocked by her news, but also shocked by the fact she is his mate! She;s invoked his leo symbol. Now what;s a lion to do to win over his mate, make her understand that her perceptions of the Khimairans are false. That is a tale worth reading just buckle up and sit back for the read of your life!

I haven't read any of the Zodiac Shifters books before, but I have read Decadent Kane. I loved her other books so I thought I would try this one. I absolutely loved it.
The shifters called Khimairans can changed into any shape they want but there is usually a stronger pull toward one. After they mate, they can only change into the primary shape.
This story is about Dante who is primarily a lion. He is the Alpha of the Khimairans.
This is also Bailey's story. She is a human who was told by her father that the Khimairans were evil and had killed her mother. He lied. She is also the last of her blood line. When her aunt was killed by the same evil that had killed her mother, she became the guardian to the portal between the Khimairan world and the world of humans. Oh, and she is also Dante's mate.
The Bellers are the name of the group who uses dark blood magic in the pursuit of killing all of the creatures of Khimaira.
Read to find out how everything comes together to form this HEA story!

Once again, Decadent Kane has taken a trope and spun it on it's head, resulting in an intriguing read which will pull you in and not let go until it's ready.
Her main characters are colorful, resilient and entertaining in thought, action and deed. The plot was mysteriously stimulating and engagingly refreshing in a way that stays with you long after you've finished the story.
Ms. Kane is a new, rare breed of author that manages to paint her words with emotional passion while staying true to her style AND giving the reader exactly what they want.
I'd highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a fresh and daring read!

When she inherits her aunts shop in a predominantly shifter town, all her prejudices come to the forefront. When Dante meets Bailey sparks fly until he discovers her hatred for his kind and her misunderstanding of how her mother and aunt died. He wants to go slow, giving her time to learn about her family legacy and him but that's not what happens. When the Bellers come looking for her and try to kill them both, Dante has no choice but to protect her.

The threat to Khimairans from the Bellerophon includes a threat to the portal guardians as well. Bailey is descended from a line of portal guardians who have been killed by the Bellers, however, she has been raised by the father thinking that the Khimairans killed her mother and to hate them. This leaves her in the dark about her ancestry and role as the new portal guardian at her aunt Nadia's death. Will Bailey overcome her thrust issues in time to save not only the Khimairan alpha but shifters of the world?
This book was entertaining from beginning to end.

A great book in a great series. Two people torn by their beliefs only to be fated to be mates. Dante feels guilty not protecting Bailey's family from being killed, and Bailey was raised by her father that Khimairan were evil and killed her family. Dante being a Khimairan has to show Bailey that Khimairan's aren't all evil and what her mom and aunt truly were. I love Decadent Kane books and I burned the midnight oil reading this. It's a enchanting story in the Zodiac series. I volunteer to read and review this ARC.

Decadent Kane does it again! Dante and Bailey are perfect for each other. Both strong and independent. I love this the concept of this series and the world she has created. I love the shop, the portal, the magic. And I loved seeing Sadie again. Highly recommend

I loved it, just like I love the other books in the series. It's well written with a great storyline and strong believable characters. I couldn't put this book down and would recommend it to anyone who loves Paranormal romance and especially books with shifters.
