Hello!
Thank you for stopping by.
The short story is I was born in Toronto, Canada. When I was 16, my family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and that is where I met my wife, Bev.
We've been married for 43 years and share our home in Southwest Missouri with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 8 chickens, a herd of goats. We have 3 sons and 12 grandchildren that keep us hopping.
I've been known to ride my motorcycle in nice weather, play golf in nice weather, and tend my garden in nice weather. In bad weather, I prefer to stay inside. :)
Thanks to the support of you, our readers, I've been able to devote full time to my writing. Bev does our cover designs.
We hope you our books are enjoyable and you'll let us know.
Please feel free to contact us at: jdalglish7@gmail.com or on Facebook
God Bless, John & Bev

Good mystery.

Liked his writing style, really a clean mystery. Jason Strong and his partner and others around them all supportive, caring people. Assistant manager is found dead in her apartment, restaurant she worked was robbed. Suspects for murder and robbery are plenty. Don't even try to guess who the murderer is, all my guesses was wrong.

Well, that left me in tears at the end!!

I'm enjoying John C Daglish's books. They aren't overly complicated with extraneous plot lines and red herrings like some crime books are, but still keep the reader guessing as to the outcome of the story. This book was in the same vein. Yes, he has personal touches to the story .... we do need to get to know the main characters and their growth, you can't enjoy a series without character development.

This book finds Vanessa Lane back at work after the events of book 15, and back with Jason Strong as her partner. This time it's Jason's personal life that provides the background character development. As his wife deals with medical issues, Strong and Lane investigate the murder of a manager of a restaurant, which turns out to have been robbed the same night. When clues and suspects lead to a second body, the two slowly unravel the case.

The tears? Well, you'll just have to read the book and see for yourself.

Another great detective audiobook that brings Jason Strong back together with his partner, Vanessa. An entertaining, clean who-done-it that builds on previous stories and yet can still be read as a stand-alone story. The carefully woven plot thickens slowly as the two detectives team up to find a duel killer and solve a complex crime. At the same time, Jason is also trying to cope with a scary problem at home, that creates realistic worries in the reader. The narrator once again does a great job. The individual voices he gives the characters are consistent and appealing from one book to the next and his tone and intonation creates tension and emotion in just the right places, making a well written story even more enjoyable.

Reading this series is like meeting old friends. Dalglish has done a good job of combining personal life with professional life. These are people the reader has grown to care about and want to know more.

Vanessa is back as Jason's partner. Their case is the discovery of a young woman's naked body and a disturbing scene.

Twists and turns added with mystery made this a great story. I cringed when John's personal life took a few bumps in the road. It was one of the rare times I figured out the killer before the reveal. But, I wasn't expecting the surprising ending. Great read.

I went on a binge reading marathon. Read all 16 Books in a matter of days (6 to be exact.) I loved every book, every twist and every turn. Great reading. I am looking forward to the next series, and have already downloaded the first book. I especially loved finding the bible verse from 1 John when I finished each book. God Bless.

Another Strong Case Closed

The storyline led to a logical conclusion. It was good to have Jason and Vanessa back together. It is good to have the added element of friends watching each other’s backs.

Was it jealousy, revenge or both. A little money never hurts.

Jason and Vanessa are partners again . Along with the necessary jibes that goes with partners .They are devoted to catching the criminal.

Good read

As with previous books in this series, this one was a good story and interesting. Only four stars because it lacked that extra something that says "don't stop reading until you reach the end."

It is an extreme pleasure to read Mr. Dalglish's books! They are well-written, thought-out, intricately plotted, and all in a clean, inoffensive presentation. Thanks, also, to the publishers for not pandering to the salacious materials on offer, but respecting readers to choose stories they don't feel unclean for reading.
