New Mexico Sunset #1

The Heart's Calling

Rate this book
Sent away from the man she wants to marry by her wealthy parents, Pamela Charbonneau now finds herself in a stifling small town in Missouri under the watchful eye of her strict grandmother. But trouble has a way of finding Pamela no matter where she is.

As she schemes to accompany her new friend Zandy Dawson and her mine-owner husband back to Colorado, Pamela's wildest dreams could not contain what lies ahead. But Pamela also could not imagine a friend as strong and dependable as rugged Jim Williams, or a faith in God that she will test to the limit.

As she seeks to find herself amid the scourges of the sagebrush, will Pamela ever realize her true heart's calling?

Light and easy but it has deep themes for such a quick read. Enjoyable

realising Tracie has written her 100th book I decided to check a few stand alone books and this was one of them. Very spiritual at times but good for me. Men seem to struggle at being the spiritual guide in homes. But what annoyed me was Pamela's parents (they were not a mum n dad at all). The main characters Riley, Zandy, Pamela, Jim needed spiritual awakening but the circumstances n environment of what was going on round them had past influences that needed to be addressed. Getting someone to listen can be difficult. Money n position can be a stumbling block. Societies traditions n doing the right thing does not make you a Christian when it comes to eternity with God.

Great book

This is really awesome book that shows how we need to grow in our relationship with God. On top of that you have a wonderful romance and a marriage growing in its strength.
