This is a first hand description of what life would be like for you if you were mentally ill and incapable of comprehending social interaction from the perspective of the psychotic person who believes they are normal.
Born and brought up in Dundee, Scotland, David A. Lindsay now lives with his wife near St Andrews in Fife. Gaspar The Thief, a humorous fantasy adventure, is his first novel.
This is the true story of a man the author knew, a rendition of someone with a mental illness and what it feels like to be “insane.” There were some great analogies to feeling like you’re a freak and why you’d feel that way, as well as some advice for those who might be feeling the same way. It’s a very quick read at just 5,000 words. I think it’ll stick with me for a while.
This was a quick-read which I enjoyed. I would have liked to have known more about Mr. Anonymous and the gruelling days that brought him to his previous, unhappy state. His story will remain sealed as he has no wish to revisit the past. I completely understand though.
I was curious about the title, so decided to download it. It's an unusual style of book, and delves deep into the mind and as the title says... what it;s like to be insane. Uncomfortable at times, dealing with emotions & personal feelings.. but found it interesting , gritty and honest.
