Cheyenne and Ryerson's story was hot and sweet and just the afternoon pick me up I needed on a gloomy day! Sophie James did a wonderful job of the narration and Morgan Young's writing and characters were fantastic - I definitely want to read the rest of the series after getting this little taste. There was the perfect amount of emotion, reality, and sex (without being smutty). It was a perfect amuse bouche of romantic fun. 4 out of 5 wine glasses.

This book was a little less than two and a half hours but it really packed in the story. I liked Cheyenne and Ry together. This book really gave you time to get to know them as a couple even though it was short. They really fell for each other fast but it didn’t seem forced to me. I liked the conflict in the story between the couple. It felt realistic and I also like how it was resolved. I guess with a novella there is no time for extra drama. The only thing I didn’t like was the bad rep given to Ry in the beginning of the book. Cheyenne is warned off from him by her best friend Zoe who is engaged to Ry’s brother. It is noted that he is an ex-con but when it was explained why it was a justified reason to me. It made me like him more. I didn’t like that they tried to paint him as this bad guy when he was really a sweet heart. I would have loved if this was a full book because it was really good. This was my first from this author and I look forward to listening to more of her books.

This was my first book narrated by Sophie James. I think she did a really good job with the narration. It kept me engaged in the book and I could listen to more narrated by her. Great job.

Lanjutan nya, ini temennya heroine buku 1 dan adeknya hero buku 1 yg trouble maker, mereka ketemu pas acara barbecue Zoey dan Porter, dan mereka berdua sama-sama di kasih wejangan, jangan hooked up! Zoey wanti2 ke Cheyenne kalau mas Ry bkn orang baik, lo hanya akan sakit hati sementara mas Porter wanti2 ke Ry, lo gak boleh deket2 Cheyenne pokoknya, she is like a sister to my fiance gt lah..

but yaaaahhh... lust mengalahkan segalanya kwkwkw.. blm ngomongin cinta lah ya, terlalu dini.. kl novel2 CR gini kan lust dulu baru cintahhhhh...

Pada hari itu Chey dan Ry doing something, tp gak sampe having sex si.. masnya bilang ude kadung janji ke kakaknya buat jadi orang baek dan tdk akan bobo bareng mbaknya. Dan mbaknya bertanya2 apa emang bener Ry se jahat yg Porter bilang? dan Cheyenne nanya si akhirnya ke Ryerson, kenapa si kakak2nya pada kasih warning gitu? kata Ry die pernah masuk penjara 2x.. wow!.Tapi taunya die masuk penjara karen mukulin bapak tiri mereka yg sering mukulin mamanya, dan Ry ini kasus pertama yg ditangani kakaknya Emerson (ntar ada bukunya sendiri). Nah, alasan Ry pindah ke kota itu karena die butuh fresh start dan tentu saja Porter milih ikutan pindah. Esok harinya, Ry gak sengaja ketemu Cheyenne di bengkel tempat Cheyenne kerja, sekaligus yg punya mantan suaminya yg sll joking "happy wife, happy life" Ry nya kesel pas denger.. dikira mbaknya masih nikah.

Cheyenne, nikah pas umur 17th sama Frankie temen baiknya, kenapa dia nikah muda? karena ortunya Cheyenne itu abusive dan Frankie bilang akan ngelindungin die, sampai 2th kemudian (umur 19th) mereka cerai dan milih temenan. Masalahnya Cheyenne dan Frankie ini punya bisnis yg dimulai bareng (meski itu mimpinya Frankie bkn Cheyenne ya) tp karena bisnis dimulai dari mereka nikah, jadinya sampai hari itu masih harta bersama statusnya. Nah, sekarang (24th) Frankie bilang mau nikah sama pacarnya saat itu, kl Cheyenne bilang "jangan, gw dulu" pasti Frankie ngalah si.. tp die gak mau jadi orang jahat dan pengen Frankie hepi. Makanya pas ketemu Ry, tu Cheyenne mikirnya si "reborn" aja, dan karena kesel jg "kenapa bkn gw dulu yg nikah lagi" (cewe ya LOL). Setelah insiden Ry liat mbaknya sama Frankie dan cemburu buta, akhirnya selesai si.. Zoey bilang kl mereka ude gak nikah dan temen baek.. meski masnya ttp aja kesel, tp akur lagi, di belakang Zoey dan Porter tentu saja.

Sampai suatu hari mantannya Ryerson dateng ke kota itu buat ambil anjing mereka, dan si mantan bilang kalau die sering nginep di rumah Ry kok selama ini, Cheyenne kesel banget.. ditambah pada saat itu Ry nya bilang "lo tunggu dulu deh, gw kelarin dulu masalah gw sama si gw lupa namanya" Cheyenne ngambek dan minta jemput Frankie dan tentu saja langsung dateng.. Ryerson nya murka dan ngusir Cheyenne malah akhirnya.

Endingnya? ya Ry dateng deh.. say sorry dan bilang kl die sama mantannya ude gak ada apa2, mantannya ude nikah dan punya anak kok, die sering nginep buat jagain anjingnya kl die pergi keluar kota, dan sekarang lg demand anjingnya buat die aja. Cheyenne, tadinya kesel2 si tetep.. tp trs calonnya Frankie bilang "itu yg gw rasain tiap gw liat lo sama Frankie, gw tau Frankie cinta gw.. tp deep down lo sll ada di hati die dan gw harus deal dgn itu semua, mencintai Frankie berarti gw harus terima keberadaan lo" buahahahahaa jleb banget..

Ooh, this was so good! This is the second book in the Small Town Sexy series by Morgan Young and it was a great follow up to the first book in the series.

Cheyenne Winslow has been friends with Zoey for years and they have been through so much together in their young lives. Cheyenne has recently watched Zoey fall in love, however since Cheyenne's divorce at the young age of 19, she's been more single than anything in the last several years. When Cheyenne sees a guy she is interested in at her friend's barbecue, Zoey's first words are of warning - stay far, far away!

Ryerson Banks is the brother of Zoey's fiance Porter and he's recently moved to town after his most recent relationship ended. He is a contractor and he is classified by most as a heartbreaker. He's a bad idea. Or is he?

The sparks flew between Ryerson and Cheyenne the moment they laid eyes on one another at the barbecue and when they finally spoke it was more of the same! As the two begin to spend more time together different sides of Ryerson begin to come out and it is evident that he is much more softhearted than most think and his past does not define who his is. The question for this couple is can they put their most recent romantic relationships in the past or are they going to interfere with the relationship Ry and Cheyenne are trying to build?

Another great read from Morgan Young! I am definitely wanting more from this series, so I am hopeful we'll get a book about another brother in the future - we know there are a few more!!

I am loving this series, the short, quick listens that are packed with good content are always a fun time for me. This best bad idea introduces us to Ryerson, the playboy. He has a reputation for being a player and when shows an interest in Cheyenne, there is nothing but warnings given out. But these two cannot stay away from each other. Cheyenne is divorced from her best friend Frankie, and their relationship is still very close. Frankie is getting married again. So there are so many things that need to be worked out! Will Ry live up to his player reputation and just use Cheyenne? Will Cheyenne remain dependent on Frankie even though he has moved on? The complexity that Morgan Young writes with is evident, but the story flows easily and packs the plot full in a short period of time. I love the interaction between all of these well developed characters, each having an opinion and a definite path in the lives of the main hero and heroine. And the dog, has to be my favorite. The howl of Rufus just will do your heart in!

Sophie James gives a wonderful narration, she has the perfect voice for new adult stories. Her voice has a slight huskiness which I really enjoy with her voice characterizations and the pacing is well done.

I enjoy short books that I can fit in easily and this one was a great one. Considering the length I think that the character building was really well done. I would have liked the romance to take a bit longer, I felt like it happened a bit fast, but it was well written and convincing.

Ryerson ended up being my favorite character, he was very open and easy to get to know, and I felt like he got the short end of the stick with even his family being quite judgemental.

I haven't read book one and I feel like I've missed something there, but it's not available on audio yet so I may have to track down the e-book.

The narration was really enjoyable to listen to, I liked the character voices they seemed to match the character descriptions and were distinct.

This was a short, sweet and sexy read. Cheyenne meets Ryerson at her best friend’s house at a party and the sparks are instant! Despite being warned about Ryerson’s heartbreaking ways, things soon end up heating up between the two. When it seems Ryerson might actually be falling for her, can Cheyenne put the past aside and move forward with him?
I loved Ryerson! He ended up being quite the contradiction to his reputation.
I listened to the audible version and listened to it in one sitting. Even though it was only 2 1/2 Hours long I felt that the story wasn’t lacking anything. This is my first read by this Author and I’d definitely check out more of her books. The narrator had a different voice and I ended up really enjoying it. She did a great job differentiating between the female and male characters. I was gifted a copy and voluntarily left my honest review.

Quick sweet story. Cheyenne meets Ryerson at a BBQ...he's the soon-to-be-brother-in-law of her bff, Zoe. Zoe warns Cheyenne off Ry because he is a real bad boy...jail time and all. Cheyenne has a trouble past and a co-dependent relationship with her ex-husband...but she has a thing for Ryerson. Can she see past Ryerson's issues and make a go at a relationship or will her relationship with her ex become a problem? Then there's Ry's ex-gf who suddenly pops up...hmmm.
No spoilers...there is an HEA.

This was sweet, and Ryerson was intense, Sexy and Sweet. I liked the story, but it still lacked something I couldn't quite put my finger on. Maybe I wanted more time, or maybe some things didn't flow as great. I don't know. So it only gets 4 stars from me. But it was still a great read.

I'm liking this quick Novella series very much. On my way back to read book 2 :D

Best Bad Idea by Morgan Young was a great read. Cheyenne and Ryerson have a story that everyone can relate to. They met at a barbecue and her friend Zoey warned her away from him. But neither one can deny their attraction to each other. I loved reading their story.
