I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were funny and interesting. The plot kept my reading to the end and I am anxious to see happens to the characters in the next book. I also liked the author's way of describing the alien planet. The funny parts with the dimwits and the thinking mittens had me laughing out loud.

Meh

I'm not sure if this was meant to be a YA novel or not. We do have a civil war. And the different breeds of cats fighting each other could be considered racist. Granted, this kind of book could be considered YA, but then I read Watership Downs when I was 11.
