Not to be read before The Luckless (book 1 in the series).

Short little freebie story about Solus Miles and how he got his Legendary Class. It didn't really add that much but it was nice to read from Miles point of view and his loneliness broke my heart a little.

I received this newsletter freebie for free, and so I just picked it up. It's fairly short — I think it's meant to be a novella or just a bonus short story. I'm not really into LitRPG, so this was a bit confusing... It was interesting, though. If I ever get a chance to read the actual books, I'll definitely come back and read this again.
This is a short story that maps out exactly how Solus Miles got his Legendary Hero Class of Royal Knight , a class previously undiscovered. It also gives readers more depth and insight into his character and playing style. We see how he really is a loner at heart, and how his character class reflect that. (P.S. Solus means alone) You can get this short story by subscribing to AM Sohma's Monthly Newsletter, although I would recommend also getting KM Shea's for new blog posts. (AM Sohma doesn't have a separate blog, something I think should happen) This story should be read after The Luckless, but doesn't have to be read after or before The Desperate Quest.
This was an interesting insight to Solus Miles. It was very short but I'm looking forward to seeing more of him through the series, especially once he learns who Kit's first player character was.
I paused to read this because I didn't have enough time to finish The Revived (third book in the series this is part of) this morning, but couldn't entirely pull my mind free of Retha. And this story was conveniently here, a prequel to the entire series, so spoiler free. It's more a character study than anything else, I guess. In it you get to see some of Solus Miles' determination and desires in playing the game; what makes him the character we see in the longer novels. I enjoyed it. Not sure I would have enjoyed it prior to reading the series, but since I don't think it's easily available to anyone who hasn't read at least some of the series, I don't think it's really a problem.
A humorous short story which sheds more light on Solus Miles' character and how he got to acquire his legendary class as a Royal Knight. I especially loved the part where Solus became frustrated because he still hadn't gotten his legendary class even though he was sent to complete numerous quests by the monarchs and goverments of Retha! Grumpy Solus was hilarious 🤣and I hope I'll see more of him when I read the next books!!!
Ne pada mi na um da pišem rivju o 20 strana. Ovo je samo prolog i blah je. Sadrži insinuaciju ili dve o budućem ljubavnom interesu u seriji, i to je bukvalno to.
After reading the main novels, I really wanted more Retha so I picked up this ebook and really enjoyed it!
It was fun to kinda see where Solus Miles was before he met Kit and how he became a Royal Knight, but also see a little bit into his loneliness which was a little sad and very relatable.
I would recommend reading this after The Luckless or even The Desperate Quest, as if you know Miles a bit more from those books I think you would enjoy this short story more. ☺️
While I'm not a huge fan of short form fiction, I appreciate this short prequel story to give a bit more of an insight into Solus Miles' character and skills.
This was a fun short story I was able to download once I joined the author's email group. My kids and I throughly enjoyed this quick insight into Solus' adventures prior to meeting Kit in the first book. Too bad it wasn't longer.
