These bonds don’t break

ELLE

Bounty hunting is in my blood. For generations there’s been a Jackson running Jackson Bail Bonds and that tradition won’t end on my watch. But my father would much rather see a ring on my finger than a pair of cuffs in my hands, and now I have thirty days to either tie the knot or come up with five hundred grand.

Daddy doesn’t know best. Nothing’s going to stand in the way of claiming what’s mine—not even a sexy bounty-hunting biker.

REBEL

Bonds are my business. I live for the hunt, and if it makes a hefty chunk of change, all the better. The Jericho Brotherhood is the only commitment I intend to make in this life and I swore there’d never be a woman on the back of my bike…until I watched Elle Jackson take down a thug with a smile and a Taser.

When a woman like that asks for your help, you f*ing deliver.

Make sure a knockout, kick-ass woman gets her due? Sign me up. No one is ever going to mistake me for one of the good guys, but for this job, I’m just the man Elle needs.

From my youngest days, I have attempted to be an author writing stories about cartoon characters, which turned into stories of teens as I became a teen myself, and then romances.

A true-believer in happily ever after, romance has always held the number one place on my book shelf, and now my tablet. I enjoy escaping to new worlds and meeting all kinds of people who live in the imagination of others. Now that I have brought my imaginary world to life, I find I cannot write fast enough to bring those ideas to you.

For me, erotic romance offers a gritty, close intimacy that let's readers explore dark emotions and taboo desires, although today, I love that more and more diverse definitions of happily ever after are accepted in our world. It is the dark intimacy that draws me to read and now write erotic romance,

Bail Out was the first book in the Brotherhood Bonds series by Jade Chandler. It was an extension of her Jericho Brotherhood MC series.

Elle Jackson was the heir to Jackson Bonding, the fourth generation company that was currently being run by her father. Unexpectedly her father decided to sell the company unless Elle got married, which was option one. She cut a deal for an impossible option two, bringing in an unreasonable amount of bounty in one week - but no one expected her to succeed. Enter Rebel who was the owner of the Brotherhood Bonds, which he ran for the Jericho Brotherhood. Rebel was the perfect solution to help Elle get what she needed to keep the business.

Chandler took us through the initial meeting, the fireworks, the animosity, the hunt and then the development alongside the challenges of the bounty business. She also provided a secondary story around the MC that overlapped with the MC series.

I loved the characters and I loved the storyline. It was adventurous, suspenseful, action packed, sexy, entertaining and fun. Realistic or not, It was a perfect rainy afternoon escape. Shake Down, JoJo’s story, is next up for the series and hopefully we’ll get more Jericho Brotherhood series as well....we really need Zero’s story! Either way, I’m a Jade Chandler fan so bring it on!

4 Stars - 3 Flames

I am a kid in the candy store at Christmas right now. Why? Because the Jericho Brotherhood is alive and kicking butt, that's why. I was so sad to see the original series come to an end, but O. M. G., this basically continues a year out from the last of the previous series. And boy oh boy, we are in for the same type of ride in this one.

Elle is hating life right now. She's spent the majority of your life trying to prove that she is an amazing daughter, even though her father wished she was a boy. Add in the fact that she's a bounty hunter (man's job) and you can guess the tension that's in the air, right? So when Daddy declares he's selling the business instead of handing it down unless she can come up with the funds to buy it herself, you bet there's some serious drama that goes down. But that's nothing compared to the drama that happens once she meets the one and only Rebel. Master of his domain...and soon to be Elle.

Rebel (side note - if you haven't read the Jericho Brotherhood, don't worry, you'll be ok. But I HIGHLY recommend reading it so that the characters mean more to you moving forward) is the Master of Bound. Master of his domain and now the Master of the new bond company the Brotherhood is running. He's out to cash in on some serious bounties when he's literally undermined by the beautiful Elle. Add in the fact that she's basically a carbon copy of Rebel and you can bet that there's some major head butting going on. But that's not the only thing butting...if you know what I mean.

I have been in love with these Jericho Brothers for a very long time. I can't begin to express how happy I am that Rebel got his own story. And now add in that this is a new series...HOLY COW!!!! This story is jam packed with lust, drama and plenty of MC Alpha-ness that you'll be begging for more. I know I am. Bring on the next one...I can't wait!

*I received this book from the Jeep Diva in exchange for my honest opinion.

Bail Out by Jade Chandler
Brotherhood Bonds #1

Elle is a bounty hunter – a good one – the fourth generation in the family business. She expects to take over when her father retires. Well, as the story begins her father has suddenly set up stipulations that don’t sit well with her. So, with her name, the business and more on the line she sets out to make sure she does not lose the game her father has set in motion. Step into the picture Rebel – a member of the Jericho Brotherhood MC - who also runs a bond business. He first sees her while she is working to take someone in for the money…someone he planned to get the fee for. One thing leads to another and before long they are working together for a common purpose and that purpose includes helping Elle get the family business.

This book has romance, passion, heat, chemistry, biker club issues, fights, intrigue, family, friends, appearances from characters that starred in the Jericho Brotherhood series and the potential for a HEA if Rebel and Elle can communicate and figure things out. I have to say there is more than one character I would like to read the story of so am hoping this series and the Jericho Brotherhood will have many more books out in the future.

Thank you to NetGalley and Carina Press for the ARC – This is my honest review.

I received a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads

I'm 3 books into the Jericho brotherhood series and enjoyed the cast of characters, this is the first in the Brotherhood bonds series and it's Rebel & Elle.
I liked this story, Rebel was written well with the right amount of bad biker boy and heart of gold. I liked Elle's tough as nails character also. She's a woman working in a male dominated field of bail bondsman and she's tough and smart. Working for her fathers company her whole adult life she assumes he's leaving Jackson bonds to her when he retires. Elle is sorely mistaken when her father gives her ultimatums, either get married or you lose the business. Rebel is just helping a fellow bail bondsman out, besides, marriage doesn't mean anything to him or the brotherhood. Elle wouldn't be his old lady and she's definitely not hard on the eyes or bad between the sheets. So he offers to marry Elle. Just temporary until the 3 months is up & she can divorce him and get her business. Turns out Rebel wants her for his wife and more but the Brotherhood has stipulations on old lady's businesses and Rebel couldn't do that to Elle. Things were not meant to go any further for them, he promised to let her go.
The story plays out well and I was entertained throughout. It wasn't your typical formulaic story, Elle kicked butt with every step! Even when her life was in danger, she had it covered, no "OMG she almost died and i realize i love her now" moment. I liked Elle's total badassery! I'm up for a spin off series and I like where this is going.

I really enjoyed this one! Elle was a wonderful strong female character and about the only man that could tame her would be an equally strong bad boy biker. Rebel fits that bill quite nicely. A biker in a fake marriage was an interesting plot line but the author did a great job with it. Rebel definitely brought out Elle's naughty side and it was a nice steamy read. Looking forward to more of this. I highly recommend this one.

4 bail bonded stars for BAIL OUT!

As a fourth generation of Jackson to go into her family business, Jackson Bonds, Elle has worked her ass off to prove herself. Too bad her father wants grandbabies and not a bounty hunter. Threatening to sell the business unless she gets married, Elle strikes a deal to do the impossible: earn the company $500k in a month. The Jericho Brotherhood also has a dog in this fight, and Rebel is getting pissed that some woman is stepping all over Brotherhood Bonds' business.

When the two of them go after a big prize, sparks fly immediately, leaving their competition in the dust. Neither of them expected, or wanted, something other than sex, but it may be too late for these two as feelings get deeper than anticipated.

I love the Jericho Brotherhood series, and the first book in the spinoff Brotherhood Bonds series, BAIL OUT, is no exception! Elle and Rebel made one sexy bounty hunting team, and even though he was kind of a manwhore, he treated Elle with much respect and caring. He was the whole package for her…sexy as hell, sweet and a seriously kick ass bounty hunter. Oh, and the porn films he used to make only helped hone his sexy-time skills until Elle wound up a puddle of orgasmic goo. The two of them had mad chemistry, and I loved everything about their relationship. My only issues with BAIL OUT were that the editing left a lot to be desired ("Good thing we're taking you're truck"), and the random back and forth between first and third person perspective here and there drove me a little nuts. Even so, those things weren't enough to diminish my overall enjoyment of this new spinoff series, and this would definitely be a 5 star read with a good editing re-do. Can't wait for the next book...hopefully Rebel and Elle make a few cameos!!

Bottom Line: No OM/OW or sharing (but plenty of public sex with Rebel's bros); mixed condom use; light BDSM/kink; no sexual assault; loads of violence, no murder.

Elle Jackson is a kick@ss bail bondswoman. She does everything the guys do, better, backwards in heels. She was supposed to take over the family business but now her father wants grandkids and is playing games with Elles’ future. Now she has thirty days to either tie the knot or come up with five hundred grand in bonds. Elle is determined to beat her father at his own game. His father didn’t make ridiculous demands for him to inherit.
Rebel is trying to make his bond company work. He wants his contribution to the Jericho Brotherhood Motorcycle Club to be the best. When a sexy blonde steals his bond he is angry but intrigued.
No matter how well intentioned Elle’s father is a douche. I loved that Elle didn’t take the easier route straight off. I loved that she stuck to her guns. Rebel doesn’t know what is about to hit him in the form of Elle and we get to sit back and watch the fireworks happen.
I enjoyed the book but got the feeling it is a spin-off of another series which I haven’t read. All in all this is a hell of a ride

Oh how much I loved this story. Everything about it was right on. You were start this book with no expectations but then all you have are expectations for Rebel and Elle. Its in a good way too. How these two are thrown together is fun and serious all at once. Elle is a bounty hunter. She is looking for everyone that skips bail. Her family has been in this business for years and she know that is all she wants to do. She lives and breathes it, so when her dad puts an ultimatum on the table she is ready to kill someone. Her dad doesn't want Elle living and breathing it. He wants her to have a life, so the choice. Force her out. e and needs a big kill. She calls up her friend and give her a 48 hour lead on one that keeps slipping out of everyone's hand. Lets just say she finds him and things don't go as planned. She either has to get 500k in bonds or marry someone. Elle is fuming and says she will get the money. The problem is, she doesn't have time. Elle is just awesome. She is a woman that can protect herself and she knows what she wants. Now all she has to do is come up with the money. Rebel is a bondsman too. He is after a mark at a bar that doesn't do anything fro him. When a blonde walks in he gets distracted. She really doesn't give him the time of day and just lets it be, he has a job to do. The funny things is minutes later she is walking out with his mark. He is flabbergasted. Who is she? When he calls up an old friend he learns who she is. Now with his pride hurt and needing a next mark, things get a little tangled up in his world. Elle has come very close to her time is almost up. One more bond and she will only need a little more. A friend is going to give her a 48 hour lead on a case. If she does that, well she will have it in the bag. The problem is that is goes hay wire and Rebel is there to help her. She want to trust him, so she goes with a plan so she can get this guy. When things get heated with her and Rebel a personal things are at stake, well that is when the the tension starts. Feelings start to get involved and Elle knows that she isn't going to make the deadline, so what do you do?

I so want to tell you the juicy details of this book, but I am going to hold off, because this a read that you have to dive into. Elle is this strong independent woman that doesn't want help, but finds a man that could change that. She just doesn't want to change who she is. Rebel has never had a serious relationship and he is the one that could change everything with Elle. The only problem is there are conditions with being with Rebel and he doesn't want her because of them. He knows he can't have her forever and he has to keep distance, but what if he wants forever with her. What if forever is what both of them need. There is a lot of drama, heat and a lot of s$x, and we are not just talking about the pg s$x. It going to get hot and sticky and this book in more ways than one.

I really loved this book and loved Rebel and Elle. There is just a few things that held me back from giving it a 5 stars, but that is on me. I was just looking for something. I hope that this story continues or at least with these groups of characters, I would love to know more about all of them.

This one was 3.5 stars for me. I really liked both main characters, and I love the fake marriage/forced proximity trope, but there were a few things that put me off of giving it a 4-star rating. This is apparently a spin-off of this author's Jericho Brotherhood series, but I didn't feel like I was missing anything vital. This was a standalone story, and it was pretty self-contained.

Elle Jackson is a bounty hunter. It's her family business and it's in her blood. Her daddy owns the business now, and it's been passed down in her family for generations. Her dad is the only family she has, since her mom died giving birth to her, so she's learned the business inside out from the time she was a little girl. She's always had plans to take over upon her dad's retirement. He, apparently, has other ideas. After his heart attack a couple years ago, he's been obsessed with getting Elle married off and her providing him with grandchildren. She has NO interest in that plan, but he's not hearing that. They agree to 2 possible conditions for her to inherit. One seems impossible. One, her pride won't let her go through with.

Rebel is a member of Jericho Brotherhood MC. He's also the owner of Brotherhood Bonds, and a fellow bounty hunter. When Elle sneaks a bounty out from under him, he's pissed, but also intrigued by her beauty and strength. He's been on his own for a long time, and has no family he associates with except his MC brothers, so he recognizes Elle's predicament, and offers to help her. Neither of them knows what they're getting into. They both vow to not catch any feelings. Famous last words...

Rebel and Elle had a great connection and instant chemistry. I really loved their banter, and their obvious similarities, both in their temperaments, and in their lives in general. They really got each other from the start, even before they really knew one another, and I loved that. There were some surprises about Rebel's personality that kind of came out of nowhere, but I feel like if I had read the prior series, I would have known more about him and his brothers, and it might not have been such a surprise. Elle was a total badass, and I loved that she didn't really need anyone's help to collar bad guys. She's a double black belt, and she can take them down on her own. But, they really like working together, and I loved that too. Elle's dad was really acting like a nightmare, and he was breaking her heart, thinking he knew best. It made me so sad for her, and I wanted her to win.

Rebel's brothers were very entertaining, as was his friend Charlie. Elle's best friend Jess was hilarious as well, and I'm hoping we get to learn more about her back story. I'm sure it will be fascinating and fun, just like her. I will definitely look forward to reading more stories in this series, as I'm invested in many of the side characters. Also, now that I know all the ins and outs of their particular MC, I don't feel I would be thrown a curve ball again regarding any of their proclivities.

I definitely enjoyed this book, and I would recommend it. I really liked that while some of the typical MC culture was represented, this club didn't run guns or drugs, or anything so seedy. If you're a fan of MC romance, I would expect you to be a fan of this!

I was asked by the author for an honest review.

I would have liked to give Bail Out 3.5 stars.

This is story is partially about a female bounty hunter trying to keep her family business, and partially about a girl falling into a relationship with an MC guy. Not only does Elle's father give her an ultimatum in order for her to take over the family business, but Elle also has to decide if she wants to be "property" in a relationship with an MC biker.

I liked the parts of the story where Elle came across as a skilled bounty hunter. I would recommend Bail Out to people who aren't familiar with MC rules but aren't opposed to learning about MCs.

Arc review. I like Chandler's voice a lot and I think this is her most fun book to date. It doesn't take itself seriously. The leads are effortlessly compatible. I really liked how Chandler shows the heroine, Elle, repeatedly kicking ass and taking names.

My Thoughts

The initial trilogy based on the Jericho Brotherhood by then a new-to-me author introduced this world of violence, strong men and women, passion, lust, action and romantic pairings that I became addicted to so when it ended glad to find this spin-off that starts a new trilogy set in the same world.

Bail bonding is apparently on the same par as repo-work, down and dirty upon occasion. At least the contracts Elle and Rebel take on seem to be as they track down the men and women who flee justice for the money offered for their capture.

With Bail Out readers are taken deeper into the world of The Jericho Brotherhood MC , also learning more about their allies as well as their enemies.

Like any good story Bail Out embraces change while it also highlights the value of cooperation even while competing in the same business as Elle and Rebel are doing.

Delving deeper into key MC members while also introducing new characters this book is filled with action, romance, violence and fills in some gaps that were left when the initial trilogy ended.

This is the first book in a spin off series from the Jericho Brotherhood series. It can be read as a standalone, however after having read all three books in the Jericho Brotherhood series I felt more comfortable with all of the characters who played a part in the previous books. The book focuses on both the MC life (Rebel) and bounty hunters.

Elle is one of the strongest heroines I’ve read recently. It takes a strong author to write a woman who is strong enough to kick a man’s butt but then doesn’t take that woman so far over the top I have to roll my eyes. Elle is thirty years old, raised by her father from birth and always strived a little harder to compensate for not being the son she should have been. An only child and raised in her father’s shadow as he owned and ran Jackson Bonding Company, she grew up chasing bad men and women and was one of the best bounty hunters out there. In a twist of fate, she meets Rebel one night in a bar when both of them are there to nab a bounty and it all goes wrong. Rebel runs the Jericho Brotherhood bonding company.

Elle’s dad comes up with a bad ploy to make Elle focus more on getting married and having a family in his attempt to make her not live for the company. That backfires and Elle’s heart is broke as well as the relationship with her father. Rebel is thirty two and really has never felt anyone loved him since his own parents kicked him out at the age of 18. He’s hardened his heart and vows to never give his heart over to someone else.

I loved the relationship Rebel and Elle had when they worked together. They clicked and became a team that runs like a well-oiled machine. Rebel was never condescending to Elle but at the same time he projected that alpha possessive trait we all like to see. He was willing to sacrifice for her but finally realized he couldn’t live without her. Rebel realizes he has lost total control of all of the rules about love and relationship in his life because Elle has stolen his heart.

There’s a lot of action with the bounty chases, a lot of drama with Elle taking over the business, a lot of love and hot sex between Elle and Rebel and a lot of emotions that are pulled from you when you pull for these two characters to make it through the hard parts. There’s some MC action going on but the main focus is Elle, Rebel and the two bounty businesses.

This is the fourth book I have read by this author and I have to say it’s my favorite of all. Looking forward to more in this series.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

3 1/2 stars.

I was super excited to receive a copy of this story to review, it sounded really interesting and a little different than the usual line up of books. So basically Elle is a bada$$ bounty hunter, that has an impossible task ahead of her in the course of this task she meets up with bad boy biker Rebel, who is also a bounty hunter for his MC Bounty Hunting business. At first I thought I would really like both Elle and Rebel I love strong women and men, but in the end I didn't end really caring for either one, and I'm not really sure why. Overall it was good story, the writing was good, I just didn't love the characters and I'm not sure if that was the author's intention or not. But don't take my word for it, check it out yourselves.

I love that Elle is a strong, independent woman who happens to be a bounty hunter. This is a very sexy biker romantic suspense. Rebel is the ultimate bad boy, but Elle can't resist when he offers his help. I've already read the next one and can't wait to see which bad boy is next to fall in love.

Bail Out is the first book in the Brotherhood Bonds series. This book combines some of my favorite things to read about MC, tattoos, kinky sex, and hunting down bad guys!

Elle is a bounter hunter and works for her family business. Her father is trying to force her out of the business and into a marriage and grandkids. Elle has to find a way to buy her father out so that he doesn't sell the company from under her.

Rebel is a bounter hunter and is instantly drawn to Elle. He doesn't know what to think about her being a bounter hunter but wants to help her so that she doesn't lose the family business. How does he help? He volunteers to marry her to keep her father happy, but the marriage is supposed to just be short term until she is in control of the company.

I loved their story, although I wanted to punch Elle's father throughout most of the book for being so old fashioned!

Ella Jackson is intent on taking over the family business, but her father insists she get married and make babies.

Rabel also has a bail bond business. When Ella grabs a bail jumper before he can do so, they are certain to be competitors, but each is attracted to the other.

To gain control over the family business, Elle finally agrees with her dad. Okay, she'll get married, but she does so with Rebel and in spite of her intention to make it a marriage of only 4 months, in order to take over her family business and then divorce him, things don't work out as she expects. No easy peasy divorce when Rebel refuses the sign the divorce papers.

Fair warning--lots of hot sex on the pages of this fast-paced suspense-filled tale.
