Wow. This book is just... I mean... just, wow. 10/10, no doubt about it.

I absolutely loved the characters. Caleb, Zoe, Miles - basically all of them. I especially loved how we got to see Mia and Eli develop throughout the story. It a was beautiful thing to experience. It was to me, at least.

I loved Elijah’s foul mouth (believe it or not), as well as his straightforwardness. Also, I can’t help but appreciate his (sort of ???) humbleness. He always knew he was unbelievably smart, but never flaunted it. Even around the people who already knew about his capabilities (as well as his past), he always remained that way. He never made anyone think any less of themselves, even though he could easily have put everyone else in their places multiple times. I really admire him for that.

He had been through a lot of shit, which shaped him into the person he was when he met Mia. This is another thing I admire about him. He never quit, even though he really wanted to at times.

Yes - he was practically a dick 24/7, and yes - he was unnecessarily violent at times. But he still had a good heart, and it showed from time to time.

I imagine a lot of people could end up not liking him, or even go as far as despising him, after reading this book. I imagine that would mainly be because of his “striking” personality. For me it was quite the opposite, though. I fucking love the guy with all my heart. He’s a fucking legend in my book.

I loved Mia’s character as well. I resented her at first, mainly because of her prejudice, as well as her stuck up and judmental ways. But, as the book came along, she grew on me while she grew as a character. She did a complete one eighty, and had turned into a completely different person by the end of the book. She became selfless, more caring, more giving. (Her love for art was kind of inspiring, too.)

I haven’t actually read the first book yet, but I intend to - especially now, after having finished Genius. I’ll most likely go back and reread this one after I’ve read Alexander, too.

This book had pretty much everything. It was humorous, romantic, extremely emotional, thrilling, and very deep. It really got me thinking about a lot of things. I cant really find the right words to describe this work of fiction I’ve just read, but I’ll have you know it was one of the best books I’ve ever read.

This was so good. Better than the first.
I still don't like Elijah that much, but I've got to hand it to him, he is a GENIUS. A terribly misunderstood genius, and maybe that's why I don't like him that much. But hey, if Mia loves him, who am I to stand in the way of true love :))))
I love how this author writes.
I will definitely check out more of his works.

The second book of the series is everything. I love the toxicity of the two main characters' relationship. The trope is enemies to lovers which is one of my favourite if I have to admit.

Let's start with the things I loved in this book - Eli.
He's the perfect example of the morally gray character lost faith and trust in society due to his traumatic past which has made him emotionally unavailable. And in addition to that he's a sexy, tattooed criminal who's got the mind of genius.

The main female character who's a blondie again (I'm starting to think that the author has a thing for blonds) is the typical good girl - rich chick going to prestigious university using her parents' money. She hates Eli because she considers him a low-life brainless criminal.

When she becomes desperate for inspiration is where the PG scenes begin. He literally "f*ck the inspiration into her" and surprisingly it works, but she involuntarily starts to falling for the bad boy.

Also there was a lot of scenes containing violence, choking and daddy kink so if any of this triggers you I wouldn't recommend reading the books.

But if you're into this sh*t go ahead, I promise you won't be disappointed.

What else but the bad boy and good girl. It was giving me Good Will Hunting as a romance with a hint of Stranger Things. BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE ENDING?? I was waiting for his appearance throughout the entire book. Okay I may have squealed. Shut up I love him.

It used to be one of my favs of the series, but I re-read it, and some of the parts of the book are kind of.. problematic.
