A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. After winning multiple writing contests and making the finals in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart contest, she now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary romantic fiction with lots of emotion, plenty of surprises, and, of course, the happily ever after.

Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

Great set . Book 1 Adam Farraday is the oldest brother of the siblings and the town’s veterinarian he is on the way home after working all night when he sees a sports car on the side of the road. What he does not expect is a woman wearing a wedding gown to step out of the car! Meg O'Brien has run away from her wedding when she found out what her husband-to-be was really like just moments before she married, while driving she swerved to miss a dog that is why Adam found her. Adam takes her back into town to see about getting her car fixed when she finds out how much, she has a lot to think about that is when she goes to get a coffee at the café.She meets Abbie who not only brings her the coffee but a muffin as they talk she admits why she ran and that she has no money Abbie tells Meg she needs help and that she could have the apartment above the café. Will Adam and Meg see they are meant to be the more they see of each other? This book makes you want to keep reading to the very end. Book 2 in the Farraday Country series and this is one series that you will not want to put down and when these two meet like the first one there is a dog involved. Brooks Farraday has set up a small doctors office but he wants to go bigger one day but he will have to make enough money to expand . His brother Adam and Adam’s fiancé Meg ask him for supper to meet Toni Castellano but after Brooks looses a patient he decides not to go as he is driving through the town he sees a woman laying in the street but when he goes to help he scares the dog that was with her. Toni is hiding something will Brooks find out what it is and be able to keep her safe? Will these two get a happy ending? Third book in the Farraday Country series and once I started there went my day, but I just could not put it down. Yes it is about Connor Farraday and Catherine Hammond but the major part which I really liked is Catherine’s daughter Stacey who two years ago was in an accident with just her father and herself ,her father died and she was found trying to wake him up ,she was only two! Stacey has not spoken since that day! Ralph Brennan, Catherine’s Grandfather dies and she comes back to make the funeral arrangements bringing Stacey with her on the first day on the farm Stacey wonders onto Farraday land chasing a dog and Connor finds her and is afraid the dog might attack her. While Catherine is there she starts to see a change in her daughter especially when she is around the Farradays. What happens? This is a story you just want to get to the next page .

What a wonderful series! The warmth and strength of the Farraday family and the community is awesome. Both the major and secondary characters are developed into realistic people with tons of heart. Each couple has a story to tell so the books have an outstanding and sometimes suspenseful plot as well as great characters. The connections starts with the town and the family but there is a delightful addition that develops into a family legend. When a couple sees a gray dog, they have met or are about to meet their soul mate. Of course Adam and Meg don’t know about that when he first rescues her on the side of a country road but it doesn’t take long for him to understand that she is the one for him. He is willing to do what it takes to protect her from whatever has put this runaway bride on that country road. Brooks is the doctor in the family and is so busy with his practice that he barely has time to look at a woman. Toni’s secret has her so tied up that a man is the last thing she is thinking of; what she is trying to escape from is much more dangerous that what Meg fled. The reality and insidiousness of mental abuse is a pivotal point but humor still abounds and both pull the reader to the characters and into the tale. Connor is n oil field roughneck and a wild horse wrangler, and the epitome of the strength, gentleness and true heart of the cowboy. His work in the dangerous and exhausting oil fields is about to pay off or maybe it isn’t. His dream of creating a ranch to train wild horses to become outstanding quarter may be destroyed when the elderly neighbor dies who has promised to sell him the land and finance the arrangement dies leaves the land to the granddaughter he has never met, a city woman who is terrified of horses but who is seeking refuge for her daughter. Connor falls for both of them right off the bat. His interaction with the little girl who has a form of PTSD will melt the heart of anyone who reads the book, but some of his decisions may alienate the beauty who has final say on the ranch.
Three fantastic stories about amazing people. I read each of the books as a standalone.

Adam
A wonderful beginning to a new series by Chris Keniston. I absolutely love the reference to Seven Brides, I laughed out loud! I cannot wait to read more about the Farraday family and their wonderful, all knowing, aunt.

Brooks
Toni is in town visiting for Meg's wedding to Adam. Toni and Meg have been friends for years, but Toni has slowly disappeared over the years. She realized she cannot accept the emotional and physical abuse from her husband any longer. Brooks loves being a doctor and wants what Adam has, the love of his life. He does not expect Toni, beautiful but married. I love the Farraday family and cannot wait to read each of the siblings' stories. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Connor
Connor is ready to establish his own stable and their family's neighbor promised to sell him his land. The old man dies before they are able to finalize their deal and his granddaughter is now the owner. No one has seen or heard from Catherine in many years. She is juggling a demanding legal career and raising a young daughter with PTSD. She decides to look at the land and see if country living helps her daughter. Connor is smitten by Catherine and her daughter. He wants to do everything he can for the traumatized child. A wonderful read. I loved the aspect of a pediatric PTSD situation. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Three great stories

Three great stories. Look forward to reading about the other Farraday men!

Adam

Love Adam and Meg. Love Adams family and the town, especially Eileen and Abbie. Hope the dog reappears. Have a feeling about it and can't wait to find out if I'm right!

Brooks

Great story. Love the Farraday men. Brooks is wonderful and Toni, poor girl, is lucky to have found him. Still loving "the dog" and Eileen. Thought it was hilarious and poetic about William!

Connor

Good story. Catherine may be a lot dramatic but I really liked her and poor Stacey just grabs your heart and never lets go. Connor is whipped from the start but I love how he maneuvers around Catherine to help Stacey. He's the perfect mixture.

I thought the books were ok. Was a slow build up to love. In the third book, Catherine was very angry at the Conner for putting her daughter in danger (riding a horse) went storming home, the Connor followed her home and on the next page there kissing. I went back to see if I missed a page from very angry to kissing. Not realistic to me. This is the third book.
The second one, the characters didn’t see to connect that well for me.
I thought the first book was the best one.

Once u read the first book u have to read the rest. The story of Adam gets u hoked into wanting to read about the other 6 in his family, I was a little disappointed in Brooks story thought to could have been longer but as u read Connors story u get the tail end of Brooks’. Hoping Declan’s story does the same with Connors. 3 boys down 3 more and a sister to go 😊

Wonderful

I have read other books from Chris and have loved everyone. This series deals in ranch country in a small town in Texas. They have a matchmaking dog. He's protective of women and children but he always seems to find them. The first is Adam when he rescues Meg, then Brook & Toni, and finally Conner & Catherine and her little girl Stacey.

West Texas, here I come!

I really enjoyed this introduction to the Farrady family. The characters were engaging and the stories kept your attention. Throw in some old-fashioned romance and you have another winning combination from Ms. Keniston.

Seven brothers, stories of first 3 - A, B, and C

A family of 7 brothers whose mother named them in alphabetic order. This book is the stories of Adam, Brooke and Connor. Each has no intention of falling in love yet each finds a city girl they can't let go.
