Absolutely loved this book. Both humorous and incredibly touching, with a genuinely thought-provoking "way in" on relationships and human interaction. Cliffie was a strong spirit who lived through some harrowing times in our country, times that are shockingly still echoed in our current news cycles. She reminded me so much of my own grandpa that I found myself laughing through tears (or tearing up through laughs?). A dairy farmer and milkman from Monongahela, he also made best friends from total strangers in a matter of minutes and LOVED a buffet. "Let's beat that buffet, kids!" is my Cliffie-esque quote to attribute to Grandpa Jack. And maybe "Show me that supermarket strut!" Anyway, Cliffie's quotables are much better life lessons and just as funny. Do yourself a favor and check this one out. Your soul will smile.
