Bruce Pandolfini (born September 17, 1947) is an American chess author, teacher, and coach. A USCF national master, he is generally considered to be America’s most experienced chess teacher. As a coach and trainer, Pandolfini has possibly conducted more chess sessions than anyone in the world. By the summer of 2015 he had given an estimated 25,000 private and group lessons.

:( This is a good book! I figured out how to castle because of it, that's nice! Same with other terms. Only thing I had trouble with was keeping engaged, but that's probably just me.

Some good information sandwiched between redundant definitions and organized in an alphabetical order instead of from novice to advance concepts. I'm sure there's better how to books out there.

when defining a term one should not use the word in the definition, i read the whole book and am still unclear as to what it means to castle, but i have figured out how to defend against it. . .
