We all must have made up different and distinct scenarios in our mind where we wonder about how different our Earth can be, how it will be fascinating to see a world which is quite beguiling from the one that we currently know about.
In the book, ‘Tulsi’ by Himanshu Goel, the author has created a completely new dystopian or utopian society, depends on the perspective of the reader, which is somehwat similar to what we know yet quite divergent in its own right as well.
Anisha Thakur is an extremely dedicated detective who loves her profession, however, lately there has come a time where she is not quite satisfied with what she is doing and is waiting for that one case which will skyrocket her career.
As though fate has been listening to her, Anisha is soon tasked with a case that will not only be a breakthrough in her own personal vocation, but rather will be an enlightening experience for the entire community as a whole.
Though this book falls under the Sci-Fi genre, even those who usually don't read the books from this category can give this a try as it doesn't have that much of a heavy emphasis on it. I am going to give this book FIVE TULSI STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book is on the future world of the year 2053 and is full with suspense and thriller along with the element of SciFi too. It is a short book based on the protagonist racing to find the culprits. The protagonist in this story is a detective thus its definitely different from the typical plot with male leads. The female character shown in the plot stands out shining throughout the book as the author has penned down a great potrait of it in the book.
The plot keeps the reader hooked up till the end of it. In the story, the characters and the circumstances around them is being layered neatly and all the characters have been given sufficient scope to contribute to the plot. The language used is lucid. The narration is kept simple and easy making it a comfortable read for all the readers.

What you will like about Tulsi
- The book every bit Indian youth, what it stands for and what it thinks the future will be like
- The analogies used and the small details which most new authors fail to offer
- Subtly picks up important global issues without being too grave about them, making it a fun read
- The characters are very much realistic
What you will not like about Tulsi
- It's not a path-breaking story, but the ideas are fresh
- It's a relatively short novel, ends before the reader can emotionally connect with the characters
Overall review - Amazing work for a first novel. Looking forward to a little more passion in the author's next work.

Tulsi is a great novel for a first try by the author. The novel is written in a sci-fi setting with the heroine taking the lead role of solving a murder mystery while society is shifting from 1 Earth to another i.e. Earth 2.
The characters and the scenes are descriptive and engaging enough to make the plot come alive. The intricacies of every character background show how much thought the author has put in this novel. It is a great book for those who love reading sci-fi thrillers!

Great debut. It is something that is not common in Indian fiction and has an interesting cast of characters. It might not be one of the best novels out there but it surely something different.

The story starts with the 15th anniversary of human civilization on the planet called Earth-2
It's 2053 and advanced technology is booming everywhere. Humans are exploring outer space and have become multi-planetary.
Today everyone is celebrating and remembering the words.....
("I Can Breathe")
....Of Kalpna Singla, the first astronaut who landed on Earth-2!
This new planet is full of resources and opportunities.
It's helping the Earth, generating employment, creating wealth, etc.
But still, some radical groups are acting as villains and working on their plans to mess everything up.
Well, we will talk about it later!!
So, now it's the 15th anniversary, and the celebration is going on.
Suddenly detective Anisha gets a call about a homicide, she goes on to the site and sees the worse dead body ever.
Anisha can't understand anything here. There is no sign of external injury or poison.
So, how the hell did this man die?
On further investigation, it was found that the body was of Raheem Chopra. A powerful man with lots of money.
The trial and error theories keep floating until the horror hits her.
It could be the drug (codenamed: TULSI) she read about ten years ago. The drug can destroy anyone in a couple of minutes.
And if it's that then it means there's tons of it out there endangering millions of lives.
She immediately contacts her boss who tells her to investigate and not to tell anyone about it. Strange!!
So, here she goes.... on her journey, Anisha meets cab driver Liu and a guy named Mahesh.
Together they try to uncover the mystery but life isn't that simple :)
A contract killer is on the hunt for Anisha and she has no clue about it.
Now, they are on the right road!
It's a clothes factory but the most suspectable hide place of those drug lords.
Anisha goes to meet the owner. On the other hand the killer' also there.
And oh no! There are fumes everywhere..Anisha is unconscious Liu and Mahesh are outside the place. The factory owner has a gun.
He points it out on her and boom!...
So, what will happen now?
Will he kill Anisha?
Who's he in reality? And if he's the criminal then, who hired the killer?
What will Liu and Mahesh do?
Why this drug is brought again after so many years? Is there a connection between it and Earth-2?
My friends, now things are getting intense!!

🔷What I liked the most:-
1️⃣. First of all the concept of this book is very impressive.
I mean you can find many sci-fi books but this one is on a completely different level.
It has an awesome story, techie stuff, life lessons, thrill, and above all a jaw-dropping suspense.
It has everything a reader can ask for.
2️⃣. Now, the way it's been presented is just "WOW."
Reading this book was more like watching a movie. I mean those situations, those emotions felt so real.
I was like man! How can this guy write so good?
💫The two instances which I loved the most are:-
• The part where Anisha's past and her final fight were shown parallelly and....
• The ending where the real mastermind was revealed.
It was really mind-blowinggggg
3️⃣. Also, there is an awesome balance between the scientific and thriller stuff.
Unlike many other reads, it doesn't have any technical jargon.
Everything is explained wonderfully. The wormhole, the spaceships it was all kinda Marvel movie.
Also, the fact that the author has put mythological references and tributed the great work by people like Kalpna Chawla mam, won my heart.
4️⃣. The USP of this book is the life lessons it shares.
There are many pieces of advice, tips on every aspect of our lives, so many truths.... and I truly have no words to appreciate them.
They are that good!!
💥So, if you are looking for an awesome thriller or some dashing sci-fi stuff.
Then, go with this one. I am sure you will love it.

"Tulsi" by Himanshu Goel is an amazing and thrilling Sci - fiction story set in the future i.e. the Year 2053. It talks about Earth 2 where people are migrating from Earth 1 and setting up colonies and a deadly drug named Tulsi which is taking the lives of many people on Earth 1. The novel starts with the homicide case of Mr Chopra, who died due to an overdose of the drug. It's a science fiction novel showing lots of advances in science, for instance, our mobile can detect our heartbeat and can inform police if any mishap happens. The homicide case of Mr Chopra has been taken by detective Anisha Thakur. Anisha was quite surprised that this drug which has been banned 10 years ago has started resurfacing again and she wanted to know to catch the drug mafia, but what she doesn't know is that slaughter has been hired to kill her.
The novel is full of scientific advancement making it more engrossing and exciting to read. I completed the book in one sitting as the language was lucid, and the no of pages is under 200. I would suggest Sci-fiction lovers give this book a try and to beginners who just want to start reading in this genre, they should go for it. Now, I am eagerly waiting for the sequel of this book.
Whether Anisha would be able to catch the drug mafia? Whether she is going to die? What is going to be Anisha's fate? Where is this Earth 2? How people are migrating there and setting up colonies? To know the answer to these questions, you need to read the book first.

More often than not, we may have come across the saying pertaining how nothing has more strength than dire necessity, which is what compels human beings and individuals to take certain actions which they would not have thought about taking before.
This is the reason why we hear how necessity is the mother of invention, and while this can come across as boon, but it can also be a curse, since there are always two sides to any stories, thereby making it apparent that it all depends on the perspective.
In the book, ‘Tulsi’ by author Himanshu Goel, we see how an effort to colonise the new planet was launched, which had long been the dream of SpaceZ and they grabbed the opportunity by its teeth when it came.
Anisha, the main female protagonist of the story embarks on a mission surrounding the death of Raheem Chopra, and the case was going to be exceptionally tough because not only were there so many missing dots that she had to connect in order to come to a solution, but even the cause of death was unknown.
On her mission, our main character gets help from two individuals, Liu and Mahesh, who both will have a significant part to play in the tale. Now, will the secrets be uncovered and unearthed, or will everything come crumbling down before its too late is the question that remains to be seen.
I loved how unique the concept of the book is, because in a way, the problems that have been presented herein are that which are prevalent in current scenario, but add to that a touch of mystery and science fiction, and it makes the entire story so very interesting. Hence I am going to give this FIVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Exciting read.

Ps- just a normal review, no spoilers ahead.
I was recommended this novel by one of my friends. He keeps on reading books very often. Believing in his recommendation I went for the kindle edition.
I just gave it a try because he has always been right with the choices ( only when it comes to books) . Sorry, went off track. Ya. So, just picked up this read. First few pages honestly felt like a big no to rest of the book. But tried to focus. And then there was a point when all the boredom flushed away in a nano - sec.
I was there turning the pages. ( took just 2 breaks for some pending stuff to be done) . My eyes stuck on each word written by the author. Maybe he ( Himanshu sir) has now made me like (a bit) of Sci-fi (I don't prefer to go for such roller coaster kind of book, usually read romantic novels) . At least I can now bear and understand it way better I used to.
It's sci-fi novel, as told, also a thrilling one. Like we all have imagined it how the future world would be. But coming up with such imagination and then turning it into the words and giving it a form of novel is what author has won the hearts by.
You'll be having so much of questions in your mind while reading it.
Great work done by author.
Also waiting for further novels by you sir. Congrats to you for turning me to a focused reader.🤧

The book "Tulsi " is written by Himanshu Goel . The book is really well written and the author has tried to come up with a very different concept . The book is a science fiction book which is set in future. The book is set in the year 2053. The Story revolves around the outspread of a very fatal drug named Tulsi . People of Earth are dying frequently by this drug . The best thing about the book is the advancement of the technology . The author should be appreciated for such a great imagination and you will devour the potrayal of the same . People have went so far in science and research that they have find anothet planet for themselves where they can survive and this was named as Earth 2 . So due to the outspread of the drug people are migrating from the Earth 1 to Earth 2 . The story also had a murder investigation part . The murder of Mr.chopra which was sudden and astonishing . An investigator was hired for the investigation of the murder . But here comes the the twist in the story which is surprising and breathtaking . The story is full with twists and turns . Talking about the title of the book it is very appropriate and catchy . The title also had hidden meaning which the author wanted us to know . The cover of the book is very vibrant and creative for which the author deserves a well round of applause . The book is recommended to everyone .

TULSI by HIMANSHU GOEL is a science fiction thrilling story. The story revolves around the detective, Anisha Thakur who was indulged in solving a murder ( or suicide ) case of Mr. Chopra, who had a smile on his dead face.

Tulsi is an adventurous, thrilling book that presents us with a look into the near future. It's a book that explores possibilities and made me quite shocked.
The setting of future year 2053 was intriguing and exciting. I loved reading about how the world we know today could be changed in the future. The details and scenarios had me reading non stop.
In this future, humanity has colonised the newly discovered planet Earth 2. And every step is being watched. Detective Anisha Thakur is summoned to a cafe in Chandigarh where a dead body has been found, mutilated beyond recognition.
Anisha takes the help of a charming cab driver Liu Ali in the most difficult case of her life. Together, they embark on a dangerous journey through cafes, secret warehouses and spaceships.
I really liked the book and the concept it revolves around. It was well written and the narrative made the unknown future world much impressionable.
I loved the storyline too and the murder mystery was thrilling. Though characters weren't that well developed.
The main character Anisha was written strong and determined while none other stood out.
Honestly, it was also a bit scary but I loved this action packed thrilling ride.
Recommended to anyone into futuristic books.

It is a science fiction story by Himanshu Goel and it is full of amazing and thrilling . It has many mysteries concerning the future that is quite different from this current world. Technology has developed so much that our mobile can detect our heartbeats and if anything wrong happens it informs the police. Subtly picks up important global issues without being too grave about them, making it a fun read. The characters are very much realistic . It is a new dystopian or utopian society, depends on the perspective of the reader, which is somehwat similar to what we know yet quite divergent in its own right as well.

First of all, the author must be applauded for bringing something new. The story is interesting and new. It is a mix of sci-fi and crime thriller, beautifully balanced to make it a perfect book to read.
Its 2053 and a new planet has been discovered- Earth 2 where life exists and humans are migrating from earth to earth 2. Technology has reached to a whole new level where your cell phone lets you know about your heart beat.
Back on Earth a deadly drug named "Tulsi" is taking lives of many.
Detective Anisha has been assigned the case of Mr.Chopra who died due to the same drug Tulsi which was banned years ago.
It is an amazing journey of Anisha who is search for the mafia putting her own life at risk. There are many references of science and technology that gives an interesting angle to this entire story.
Overall it was an interesting story and easy to read. I was able to finish it in two days.
What is remarkable is that the author has brought something unique before the readers rather than the usual thriller. This is certainly the USP of the book.

The story transports the reader’s imagination to a second world that was discovered 25 years ago before the first human confirmed that she could breathe there. In this second world, everything is just the same. The story, however, circles around a dreadful death of a person in an apartment in Chandigarh. Anisha, who was on this case, was shocked and couldn’t believe her eyes looking at the dead body. She knew it was a suicide. But why would a man kill himself with such inhumanity? Where did he get Tulsi? Didn’t the government ban the deadliest drug on two Earths?

IT'S THE DRUGS. Same is the story of Tulsi - a drug taking lives of many. Mr. Chopra was one of the victim of the drug and died. His case was assigned to detective Anisha. Where she puts her efforts to find the suspects and put her life in risk. Her life takes a lot of twists a d turns with this case.
People migrating to save their lives for earth 1 to earth 2. This was an interesting part. A page turner sci-fi indeed, keeps you hooked till the very end.
I must say, I'm thoroughly thrilled and in awe of the book. Absolutely loved the setting and the story, while the pacing kept me turning the pages rapidly without a stop. I read the entire book in one go (which I rarely do) and I am amazed by it.

This is an absolute page turner thrilling story,will surely keeps you hook from the first page.
From the plot setting to the character development and narrative style, everything is commendable.The author has indeed done a marvelous job, because in my opinion when you set a plot in future,you should have a great imagination ability,and when you think about making another earth and all,this makes the thing more complex, but the author has done it very beautifully.

I have previously read 3-4 books of Himanshu Goel. I have always liked them and that is what made me pick up this book. It is a science fiction novel. Tulsi is a thrilling read in which the story is set in the future year of 2053. The author has a really strong imagination as the story talks about a second earth where life can be sustained. People are moving to the other Earth. Now the title, Tulsi made me think of something related to medicine(a healing one) which wasn't really so. According the the story it is a drug, taking the lives of people on Earth 1. As the story is shown as set in 2053 there were many technological advances shown. I found the book very intriguing and exciting. The cover is also very attractive. Hearing the Earth 2 might have aroused the maximum curiosity in you and to know what it is you will have to read the book. Reading books of Himanshu Goel is always worth the time. Waiting to read more from the author.

This is an epic story full off all the feels and I may have shed a tear or two along the way. This was the first book I’ve read of Himanshu Goel and it for sure won’t be the last.
At the beginning, I was hesitant about this new type, but the writing style made it easy for me to read this book.
The language is so simple, but it is enough to teach us some values. Do not use sharp jargon. Written fluently.
It has a very fresh story with tantalizing narration hence making it more engrossing.
It's a story of an enthusiastic detective ,Anisha who is just bored with the monotonous nature and wants tge big break-through in her life.
The entry of detective Anisha Thakur adds more energy in the scene . Who is brought to investigate the death cases .
I am really thankful to the author for providing me with such a beautiful book.

🌸Tusli by Himanshu Goel is a science fiction book, the story is set in the year 2053. From the name of the Book I have never thought that it will be so interesting and the concept like this. Tulsi is a drug in future which is the reason for so many deaths making it difficult for inhabitants of the earth to live on this planet, once they used to call their home. They have found a new planet named earth 2.🌸

Future is unpredictable but can be designed. Such is the book TULSI which kind of left me astonished to a certain extent where I found it hard to interpret and decide between which world is way much better. The current one I'm breathing in or the one the author developed through a mere set of words. I liked the truly intriguing environment this book built up where the protagonist is pushed in a zone where choices are limited but she has to make a choice and only the right one with no place for a second chance to be granted. I loved the concept and the writing style used. I liked the way a few Hindi terms were used in the book along with a few titles which also were the beautiful chapters in the book. Like The Chai Hut and the Antariksh. From the word Antariksh, I guess one can imagine how good and upto what extent this book speaks of. A beautiful read indeed with characterization quite commendable.
