I’m not an avid “sci-fi-paranormal” reader as such but I wanted to support friend and fellow writer Andrew Garrison, as well as many of the talented authors he showcased in his earlier book, “American in Twilight: Not Quite True Tales & Poems Through America.” I very much enjoyed many of the stories here and I am ever amazed at the otherworldly imaginations of some writers (I’m lucky if I can nail reality!). In particular: Benjamin Kissell’s humorous and unique voice, C. Vincent DeVellis, A.C Hernandez, Jenna Anne Waltuch’s compelling entry, and Andrew Garrison’s goose-flesh creepy finale. An interesting assemblage of talents.

Disclaimer: I'm one of the featured authors in this anthology. However, this is a lovely little collection of stories exploring the creepy, the unknown, and the darker side of humanity, with some excellent concepts. There are definitely some influences of King and Lovecraft to be seen here, and overall I enjoyed the stories.

The theme of Shadow Within the Labyrinth is enough to frighten, but these stories and poems offer insightful and detail-splattered elements to implore a curious mind. Because of the diversity of this collection's writers, "Labyrinth" offers you thought-provoking and ghoulishly delicious short stories. Read on, my friends!
