Dormaine was born in Long Island, New York where she lived most of her life. As an adult she liked to travel out of the country though her favorite places to explore were her fantasy worlds as an author. She may be a nurse by profession but her heart has always belonged to writing. As a young child she spent many Saturdays in the library nurturing her love for books. There she discovered her fascination for the science fiction genre, through books, movies and graphic novels.
She now resides in Colorado with her husband and feisty dog. After many years of working in hospitals and travel nursing, she decided to pursue a career in writing. Her first novel The Keepers is in one of her favorite genres, young adult urban fantasy but the dark side, like paranormal is a close second. She's a Kindle Book award semi-finalist for The Time of Sanura from her Madame Lilly series. Presently, she is working on a paranormal mystery series of stand alone novels.
From The Book Junkie Reads . . . Connor Revealed (Connor, #2) . . . YA Urban Fantasy with some flavor. WOoow. I have to. I must go back and read the first book in this series. I was drawn in. Pulled in. Sucked in. This rich, decadent world has me wanting more.
Love triangle. I think that angle is a bit overdone in YA but it lends to the plot. I want to know and understand more of Connor, Tony, Ronin, and even Willow. There was depth in the world that surrounded these characters. I will be waiting for the next installment. In the mean time I will have to return to the previous one.
Dormain G . . . hats of to you. Excellent job.

This by far was the best in the Connor series. And that's saying a lot since the first book was so good. I didn't think the author could top it! I loved Connor and Ronin but then again the love triangle with Tony still has me rooting for him. The other world that Dormaine G built is a testimony to her writing capabilities. I could literally see myself in Ronins world. And my fingers are crossed for Willow. I can't wait for the next installment. Comment Looking for voting buttons? I was gifted a Kindle copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this second installment of the Connor series. It's full of action and surprises and thoroughly engaging. On occasion, there were a few instances of phrasing I would have worded differently to add clarity or even to add more feeling or emotion, but lack of these things did not take away from the story. It merely prevented me from giving 5 stars.
This story ends with a cliffhanger. It's not one of those extreme ones that makes you want to throttle the author. It's more of a feeling of really wanting to know what comes next. I plan to find out. I recommend this series.
I was a little reluctant to download this book because I found book 1 to be borderline boring. I am glad I did, kinda didn't have a choice; being a touch OCD'ish about things, purchase book2. I appreciate the back and forth of the story but I wish there was a bit more of the younglings history told. Overall it was a good read and since book 2 was a better following of book 1 I went ahead and downloaded book 3. If all goes well, you'll have made a fan outta me.
The first book was good this one was even better. Now we get to find out what happened to Willow in Ether and boy is she in for it, little Miss Rich Girl gets her world rocked. It isn't just that she is alive it is learning that no one cares who she was on Earth. Meanwhile on Earth Connor is stirring up her own world rocked between Tony and Ronin, yes Ronin. Lots is revealed lots is attempted. Lies are revealed and so are truths revealed. The Keepers reveal more the team has no idea about. I'm just saying take a deep breath and get ready for a wild ride. Nothing is what it seems and safe is no longer part of the equation.
Great story and well written. Still feels like it isn't the end of the story but the beginning of another. Can't wait to see where we go from here.
