Home on leave, Blue didn’t expect his first meeting with his curvy housemate to happen in quite the way it did - on his back, bare-arsed naked, with just a towel to conceal his modesty. But it did, he has, and now this down-on-his-love-luck Aussie soldier has a mission he didn’t expect. Will he recognise it, pursue it, and win it?
Or will his chance at true love pass him by?

5 amazing stars

I don't even know where to start with this one. My joy for this book is over the top. First, I know I have said it before but I love how this whole world is connected. When Alex's name came up I screamed I was so excited.

This book gave me everything I wanted. We got an amazing hero in Blue. And, Charley... what a sassy fun loving amazing woman. Her love of yellow is so perfect for her.

And kitty! I LOVE kitty! You know I would have done the same thing she did when kitty was hurt. Although, I would have then gone after Gary right after that.

Now if only we can get a Raymond and Marietta story 🤞🤔😜

After SO many books by this author, loving each and all the books, I can't believe it just got even better, even deeper emotions, even more sensual, more angst, more raw moments of pure emotions and feels mixed with delightful banter, and fun, laughing out loud moments!
I loved it, loved the connection between the brothers, with the Wells family, and most of all, I loved Blue and Sunflower together, because they were just so so very perfect for each other.
Blue and Charley (aka Sunflower) had me swooning and smiling and falling in love with them from the start. They got each other, they had same values and interest, they were comfortable with each other, they had passion, trust, honesty that was just delightful and refreshing, and perfectly swoon-worthy. They talked, they worked, they played, they took care of Kitty, and spend time with family. They lived their lives unapologetically in a way that made me want to cheer for them.
I love that in Ms. Verdenius' books the characters from the previous series might pop in for a walkthrough. Like it is here with Sergeant Alex Lawson. Not a big role in the story, but still a connection between the series.
But even more, I loved the connection between the Wells family members. The talks Blue has with his brothers and his father choked me up and had tears in my eyes. There were such raw emotions, the protective instinct towards each other. The feelings a family has when they send one of them to the military, the not knowing if they will survive if they will make it home if they will see each other again, it was all the in the background, giving these moments with the loved ones even more meaning. That angst and worry that military families and loved ones go through were drawn with vivid and sharp images, the doubts, the concerns, the fears were evident.
And then there was Charlie and Blue, and their tangible attraction, the palpable emotions between them, and the vast passion that had the pages sizzling. The love-making between Blue and Charlie was intense, sensual, tender, detailed, and seriously hot. The love scenes were well done, and such an intricate part of the developing of their relationship, an important, and an amazing, part of the story.
Someone said recently that 'meaty' girls do not belong to romance novels, and I could not disagree more with that statement. And Angela Verdenius is one of the authors who proves that statement wrong with her books. The characters are relatable, they likable, they are attractive and sensuous just as they are with their curves and dimples, their worries and fears are what we can relate to, and knowing that they might look a bit like ourselves, well, that is just a bonus.
I smiled, I laughed, I sighed, swooned, delighted in the joy of the story, and wept with the longing and real, deep emotions. There was the kind of level of raw emotions in the tale, the kind sensuality, and sweet tenderness, that had a shattering impact on me.
Just wonderfully and charmingly done appealing and splendid romance story, a winner in my eyes!

3.5 stars, I enjoyed it but I want more drama! It's been a while since the last time I read Angela Verdenius's book and I guess I kind of miss it. I liked this book so far, Blue's so gentle! I adore him. But I need more trouble in paradise! More drama! Haha. But overall I loved this book!

I read a snippet of this book on Kindle and it got me interested. So after debating whether to purchase this book for 3 months, I finally purchased it and I think I could have waited longer. The book starts off well but somewhere in the middle it stopped working for me. The scenes between the leads though entertaining didn't hit the mark and I couldn't picture those two together. Can I just say I LOOOOOve Luke. OH Dear God! I found Lukey boy the most entertaining and bit in the entire storyline and obviously Jason who is just hot. The converstion between the Wells is just downright fun and I actually missed Mikki and her wierdness. The book is a good one-time read but my favourites have to be Luke( I'm gonna re-read this) and Jason.

A nice read

This was one and Jason's story are my favorites. I liked all but this story was sweet.
I'm from the U.S. so I really enjoy learning some of the lingo and ways of daily life from the people in Australia.
I try to stay away from books with really young main characters but I kinda like the fact we don't know exactly how old all the characters are and if it was mentioned... I missed it.

What a great ending to the Wells Brothers series. Blue’s book was awesome. I could not put it down. I smiled thru the whole book. I loved Blue and Charley story. Had lots of tears on the ending of their story and also because the series is done. Awesome series but every book Angela Verdenius writes are awesome. Can’t wait for the next one to come out.

This is my go to book

I've read and re-read this book so many times. It's a beautiful story of two people finding each other from renter, lonely hearts club, friends to couple. It is a bbw novel, but you wouldn't know it. It's's a great story, funny at times, sexy and warm hearted when you need it to be. I highly recommend this novel.

2.5

no real tension or anything haven't read before.

blue was semi-likable and charley was thru majority of book but she annoyed me a lot too. make it a habit to not read police/military romances as, ew, but made an exception for verdenius. besides a bit of explicit pro-military propaganda his career wasn't mentioned too much.

fun to catch up with characters from other books.

It was unexpectedly good. Their love was not rushed although they only have known each other for 2 week if I was not mistaken.
