An old favorite from my childhood, though much of the scientific terminology went over my head in those days. I still love the illustrations, and the description of the animals' natural habitats on a global scale is fascinating.

Much of the science is clearly out of date, as even a layman like myself can readily appreciate. From obsolete terminology to an unfortunate fondness for theories that have since lost support (see: the origin of birds), it's amazing how much can change in a few decades. But the fascination of the Dinosaurs themselves is as remarkable as ever.
