Her Harem #1

Her Harem

Rate this book
When image rehabilitation expert Kelsey Lambert is called in to help save the reputation of world-famous rock band Harem, falling in love is the last thing on her mind. After all, her career’s on the line, and keeping untamed musicians out of trouble is a massive undertaking. But when the gig puts her on a tropical resort island with the sexy, unrepentant bad boys, she struggles to remain professional as her inhibitions rapidly melt away. Although getting romantically involved with five rock stars at the same time was definitely NOT part of her business plan, Kelsey soon begins to realize she’s fighting against the very thing she craves most. She was sent to save Harem, but maybe they’ll end up saving her.

Her Harem is a steamy reverse harem romance with scorching graphic sex scenes and a deliciously happy ending.

"Alexis Adaire is the queen of strong female protagonists and Kelsey Lambert is among her fiercest and sexiest!"

I think this is either one of the (unintentionally) funniest or most tragic books I read in 2018. The book is about a "professional" image coach who is anything but professional. The whole book is about her trying not so hard to not have sex with the entire band. She does EVERYTHING and anything to insure that they do in fact have sex and make out. A lot.

He's trying so hard not to look at my tits, it's adorable. His innocent expression contrasts with his hot, ripped body.

As an image coach to the stars I was surprised by how much she acts more like a groupie than a professional. She can't even have a conversation with the band without mentioning how sexy they all are. Like that isn't enough, she keeps thinking about how her past self wouldn't believe she would get the opportunity to make out with the entire band. A title and profession like professional-star-fucker would have been more like it, and probably provided a more believable and bearable plot line.

"Brandon will fit in on stage, too," I say. "He's as sexy as the rest of you."

Who cares whether or not the guy can actually play an instrument, as long as he's sexy. Right?

Just because I do have issues with not knowing how things end, I will be reading the sequel too. However, I don't have any expectations to it - except that I'll be rolling my eyes a lot.

I haven't finished yet and will update when I'm done.

My impression so far is this professional woman, One who needs to save her career, Only thinks about sex.
She's trying to save the image of a rock band. The band is known for getting in trouble with sex, drugs, and alcohol but sex is all she can think of while working with them.

This book could have been much much better if she was actually professional and they had to actually work to break her defenses down.

The reason I wrote this review early is because Travis was Trevor first. Then I flipped the page and he was Travis. Seriously, this is an easy fix and ANY editor should have seen it immediately. So 2 stars.

I've revised my review to 1 star. I did not finish this book. I've read about half of it. There is no point. The book is about a "professional" image coach who is anything but professional. The whole book is about her trying not so hard to not have sex with the band. She does EVERYTHING and anything to insure that they do in fact have sex. The book is pointless. A 10-20 page book would have summed it up.

All she thinks about is sex. All the band thinks about is sex. All games and exercises are for play. The end!

This book is not worth reading. It's dull

I love this book so much!! I've never read Alexis before and honestly I was a little wary at first. She rocked the heck out of this book though. I seriously hope she continues this in a series.

Yes there was some insta-lust but what do you expect when you have 5 hot as hell rockstars. She's the only girl in the whole resort. Of course they are going to try to get in her pants. There's so much more to this book than just trying to hook up though. So much more!!

Was it really love ? Or just the ultimate fan experience?

This was a lil weird at times , I mean I don't mind a little insta-love at times, one of my favorite romance genres is PNR or Paranormal Romance( shifters, vamp.s,fae, witches etc.) and even in Alien romance often have "fated mates" that one person Faye and the universe have picked to be the perfect compatible mate for them, soo that was soo between that kinda background and the emotional place everyone seemed to be in I could kinda the high and or strong emotions of it all....
What got me was RH or not ,working for them or not, two things got me that took away from it for me...
One k,the guys are young and horny and used to having sex when they wanted it ,but seriously ,seriously ?!?? They can't go more than a few freakin days w/out ? I mean this story was pretty good but there wasn't enough balance for me,one minute there feels like there's the makings of pretty interesting story her, a bright, intelligent resourceful woman, who just taken a terrible blow to her career, same for the band (almost) and young rockers or RH or not I was rather disappointed that everything ended up revolving around sex, who, when, where, why, how but mainly all about sex... well for the most part , and if it wasn't sex it was leading up to sex...
Though honestly the worst and most disturbing part for me was, after less than a week together their all telling each other they love each other, Kelsey to the guys and the guys to Kelsey but other than the beautiful song they write her it's still just mainly about sex, but what started to skeevy me out a bit was her one minute acting like she was deeply in love w/one or all of them and the next in her head it's either " OMG! I just sucked all of Harems blank!" Or Omg I'm having with Jason Stone! " ,aaaaaa if your really in love with him, shouldn't you have dropped the fan girl bs and just be happy to be having sex w/a man you love ?
Sure you "love" Jason Stone and he love you,but if you REALLY love him should you acting a little different ?
Same with the guys we all love you but ..... We love you but we aren't making any plans to be w/you, we are acting like we love you but ,well like asking her to come w/was more a last minute save more than anything else...
Between their relationship seeming to mainly revolve around sex,Kelsey's inner fan girl , and "I love you " one minute and What a lucky she will be that get Brandon or such and such, it was I love you but kinda feeling, even if it's insta love ❤️,if they're gonna make us believe it , don't have them say it one minute and act like it's just a passing fancy the next...
I mean even in the epilogue where we're treated to what was most certainly a "Happy for now ending", Kelsey was still throwing out phrases in her head about some lucky man being lucky w/all the skills she's getting from all the sex she's having, then saying then again 'maybe ' lucky men...
Aaaaaaaaaaaa, if the h can't commit even in her own head and in the epilogue? Aaaaaaaaaaa, how am I ?
I like the story I really did and love how all the attention was focused on the woman and we were given 5 distinct men to love and care about , I just wish it had less about sex at times( they loved each other but they made it feel more about sex then love) and just living their lives together and feeling like Kelsey really loved them ,she wasn't just living some serious rock and roll
Sex "gods" fantasy...
The story definitely ended open to other books,if their more I'd definitely be curious to read...

Whoa

This is an outrageously over-the-top harem fantasy that turned into a blistering hot, sex filled romp with five members of a rock band. Kelsey was hired as a fixer/image consultant, tasked with keeping the band, Harem, from being crucified in the media after one too many sexual escapades ends in police involvement. She must meet with the members on a private island and find a solution to the band's image crisis before their label drops them. She has one week.

What she finds when she arrives are four original band bad boys, one Juilliard trained replacement keyboardist and a whole lot of hot man meat! Let's just say that Kelsey finds pieces of her perfect man in each of the band mates. She is able to gain their respect, trust, admiration and love with her strong personality, witty banter and sexy body. They reward her with sex that is out of this world and nothing short of her hottest and wildest fantasies.

This book was well written and we were able to learn about each band mate individually as well as a group. Kelsey is a strong willed, modern woman who knows what she wants and is determined to see things through to the end. I will definitely read more from this author.

Kelsey Lambert is an image rehabilitation expert who has just suffered a huge business setback, so the request to help save the reputation of the rock band Harem couldn't have come at a better time. However, the job is on Fiji, she's the only female alone on a resort with the sexy, sex starved band, and it's now a struggle to remain solely professional. This is a fun Reverse Harem with insta-lust; a perfect distraction for a summer afternoon.

This book could have easily just been a vehicle for one sex scene after another, but it rose above plain erotica (not that there's not a place for absolute erotica). However, there was a story and the characters were flushed out. Kelsey was a smart, strong woman and the 5 guys all had distinctive personalities. The rule "what happens with one band member will happen with them all" really served the book well! There was unexpected humor throughout the entire book. It was pure entertainment, never taking itself too seriously, never gritty or dark, just fun. There's definitely a place in every RH addict's library for a book like this one!

I chose this book to read expecting a relatively short story full of smut. And I was not disappointed. My expectations were pretty low, so I was pleasantly surprised with the plot. It was believable enough and while usually I prefer slow burn, this one was quite good.

What irked me quite a lot were the I love yous basically from the very beginning. That I did not like. Lust is believable enough, but story just did not warrant deeper feelings. That is not to say lust is sometimes enough as a base for the future and the rest comes (or not) afterwards. I think I would have given a higher rating if there were no confessions of love.

“It’s about taking a handful of young men who have gotten everything they’ve ever wanted since they were teens, and teaching them to behave like responsible adults. Or at least, not like a gang of ruffians”

Plot-wise the story is somewhere between the 69 bottles and the Rock-Hard beautiful, except being written on a lighter note.
Having read it, I'm still not sure how I really feel towards it. I didn't hate the book, but I can't say I loved it either. I guess, for the most part it was okey.

Decent

So overall it was an ok book. I explained to my husband last night that it was essentially soft core book porn. There is a story, although it was fluff in the same way a soft core porn would have. Lots and lots of sex. However, it was nice. I like the boys and their personalities. In some cases you just need a smut read and this is it.. so in that sense it was well worth the read. I will move on to the next book and see how the after tour life develops and the turmoil when Jordan returns from rehab.

So I received this book as an ARC and then I bought it! I think I have read EVERY single book Alexis Adaire has written! With every book, I've seen Alexis grow as an Author! Harem is by far, the best, most, captivating story yet! What could be better than 5 Hot Band Dudes and One Image Consultant getting together? NOTHING! Sign me up for that Gig please! I think there is a sequel in here somewhere or a series! Loved it that much! You should pick up your copy today!

OMG!! This book is so friggin' hot!!

Holy ----! I don't know if this book could have possibly been any hotter or sexier! It was a crazy premise, but the characters were so likable and you just become invested in them immediately. It was like a crazy-girl's dream come true? Just wow! I absolutely loved it! Probably the best stand-alone RH book I've ever read! If Alexis' other books are this good, she has a new fan forever!

This book has some very sexy and interesting developments in the way of multiple lovers. I actually enjoyed the slow progress of professionalism and sensuality written by the author for the 6 main characters. Usually these type genre books are quick, hot and heavy with no substance to the storyline. But this author put more thought and emotional understanding into the words in developing the characters p.o.v.

I was very sceptical about this book before reading it. I mean, one girl and five guys? But i very quickly liked this story. It was sexy as hell ! But also sweet and a little romantic. And an ending i did not expect but did love. It was also funny some times and that's something i love in books.
So definitly a good read !!

Pretty good

This was pretty good. It was well-writtrn, but needed more. More buildup, more angst, more time. There was very little relationship nuilding, too Insta-love. Very little character development, and everything was too simple. However, for a quick, steamy read, it was good.

In my perfect fantasy world this would be my dream. Lol. 5 hot rockers who get under your skin and can take no for an answer. The characters are well thought out. They feed off of each other with ease. The dialogue and different perspectives kept me intrigued. Loved it and can't wait to read more from Alexis.

This was a good book and very sexy. It was a good read but I can’t help but to wish it was longer instead of ending how it did. The author should have did an epilogue or continued for maybe 2 or 3 more chapters to actually close out the book; but other than that it was a good read with some funny moments and sexy men.

Ok

This was an ok book. The story was predictable and I had a hard time connecting with the characters. The writing didn’t get enough into their emotions for me to believe they really cared for each other. The sex was pretty hot, but could’ve been a little more detailed on how things felt etc.

Incredible story!

Ms. Adaire is an amazing author. There is so much feeling in her words. She has a way of writing what should be "hide in the room" erotic story & making you see the beauty behind it. The love & respect. I would highly recommend this book to everyone! It's going to be in my "to be read over & over" pile!

3.5 out of 5 stars -Rounded up

A nice piece of fluffy smut. The only reason for this book is to set the hormones raging and that it does pretty well.

If you're looking for deep, meaningful relationships or complex character development with deep conversations, then I'm afraid you'll have to look elsewhere.

Will definitely look for more

Although it's slow in places and too quick in others, I really enjoyed this story and the characters. I'm looking forward to the next one, and will definitely look for more stories by the author. There's a couple of errors, and so it could use a quick re-edit. But other than that, it's very well written.

Super hot

Wowee...the steam level is high on this one. The chemistry is combustible. It is insta-love but I didn't care because the sexual tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. A light and easy read with little drama. Make sure your SO or BOB is nearby.

Fantasies Become Reality

What happens when your fantasies about your favorite boy band becomes reality? You end up being the one woman to make five men happy. This was a good short read. The sex scenes were at times a little too much for me.
