The Alpha Plague #8

The Alpha Plague 8

Rate this book
Flynn is a survivor. From the age of six to twenty-six he’s lived a life of chaos and never been defeated. In one of his most recent moments of darkness, he found hope in the form of another survivor named Rose.

Having escaped the Queen and her wicked ways, Flynn and Rose decide to return to put a stop to her. The vicious self-appointed monarch has her sights on Home, and as much as Flynn hates a small portion of the residents of his old community, he'll do anything to save the rest.

To take the Queen down they need an army. The best place to find one is by liberating the prisoners held by her. To do that is to get close to her and risk capture. If that happens, they won’t walk away again.

But they have to be the change they want to see in the world. A lunatic ruling with violence and control, the Queen has to be stopped.

The only question is; are they up to the task?

Download The Alpha Plague 8 to join Flynn and Rose on their quest to change the world for the better.

"Anger is a secondary emotion, a reaction to the truth. You’re sad, and that’s okay, but deal with that. Don’t be a slave to your rage.”

What an incredible series that was, we follow characters spanning decades. Each and every one of them I absolutely loved, or at very least ended up loving.

"The slightest smile lifted one side of Flynn’s mouth. “If ever there was a story of a hero …”

This whole series did not stop for breath once, it was a thrill road from start to finish absolutely full of action and twists.

"A shrug and Flynn smiled. “Wherever fate takes us.”

Utterly unputdownable 👌
Highly recommend to zombie lovers.

5* for every single one.

Wow, a poop mountain. The depravity is just awful. This was so horrific it was a struggle to finish it. I don't understand the ending. The world is so awful why would you leave. But anyway, I'm glad I'm finally finished.

Thank you Michael!

Often, an author leaves you hanging and wishing for resolve. This segment delivers with abandon. Fast paced, gruesome, witty and unpredictable the author sweeps you along as you find yourself wanting that resolve ; but at the same time not wanting it to end. As always, there are grizzly moments that bring out the demented champion in you as this exercise in gore progresses. As the book ends the possibility of ninth volume is a possibility that I would very much like to read!

Gripping

I had to read the whole series right through to see what happened. In a future world, turned upside down by cold war, it's east vs West. Then a virus is released & it turns people into zombies. The story follows the survival of 4 characters over 20 years, through life, changes, death & extreme hardship. Its a great read.

A good ending

This was a rough book but then all of the Alpha Plague books are. Since you've gone this far with the series, you really want to see the ending.

The characters are ordinary and so real. That trait continues in this book. Some of the old characters surprised me. The action surprised me. The ending surprised me. This is a good book in a very good series.

I'm ready to read his space opera now, it can't be as dark as the Alpha Plague. I hope.

A great conclusion to the series. I have the box set but have posted a review for each installment.

Flynn is a complex character, one we've known since he was six and then ten years later surviving in containers until tragedy changes things again.

There is plenty of action, while emotional content brings depth to the story and characters.

Pure evil is battled.

Enjoyable.

Highly recommended.

Finally the last book of the series. It had lots of action was fairly fast paced, somewhat gruesome. Sometimes sad, but happy to see that some people got what they should. Some scary parts. Just wished the end went a little more into what happens next for Rose & Flynn. If you have read the others, this one is a must read.

Great story, well developed plotline and characters. The author moves the story along from book to book quite smoothly. The dialogue is sometimes a little stilted and formal and the author uses outdated expressions and cliches occasionally, but all together the books are very well written. I enjoyed the series very much.

final book in the series. Excellent characters, well written and likeable apart from the evil enemies. This book is a rollercoaster of emotions. Can they defeat the queen before she attempts to destroy Home? Loved it!
