I’m going to make this angel fall from grace.
She’s my sweet temptation. The apple in the garden. Original sin.

Prim, proper, preacher’s daughter, saving-herself-for-marriage Evangeline Ellis.

She’s too inexperienced. Too innocent. Too pure.

But I’m going to take that pristine purity and I’m going to make it filthy with lust. I’m going to make it mine, and she’s going to beg me for more.

She’s only in Shelter Harbor for a few weeks. Her father’s already promised her to a man she’s never even met.

But she’s down the street from my bar, tempting me every time I think about her, and I’m losing my power to resist.

The hell with the consequences, with her being off-limits, and with her being promised to someone else.

I’d say someone should have warned her about a guy like me, but then, someone did.

I warned her.

If this is a sin, take me to hell, because I’ll be damned if I let her go.

Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Aubrey Irons enjoys writing about bold, sassy, and intelligent women and the hot, cocky, and quite typically forbidden bad boys who love and lust for them. Gripping stories, guaranteed happy ever afters, and LOTS of heat.

In the real world, Aubrey is kept plenty entertained by her own favorite bad boy husband, their two adorable kiddos, and the world's most ill-behaved puppy.

Sinner by Aubrey Irons
Actual rating: 3 stars

Sinner tells the story of Evangeline, the daughter of an extremist preacher, as she falls in love with Rowan, the "bad boy" who owns a dive bar.

Look, I don't think anybody who looks at this book is going to be expecting War and Peace here, and you pretty much get what's advertised. I'm not going to lie, both characters are pretty stereotypical, but Rowan is generally more likeable than I expected. He's mostly not an asshole and repeatedly goes after Eva, even when she pushes him away.

That being said, I was not happy with Rowan's reaction to Eva being dragged away screaming by her father. Eva's father is clearly deranged, waving a gun, and is going to force his daughter into a marriage she DOESN'T WANT...and yet when Rowan thinks he missed the plane she was on, his reaction is basically "oh well". Even when another character suggests driving to Georgia, he literally says "I'm good". That seemed VERY out of character based on the rest of the novel, IMO.

Safety Stats:

Ages:Eva is 21 and a virgin, Rowan is 31.

Cheating: None.

OM/OW:At one point, Rowan's ex-fuck buddy takes her shirt off in an effort to seduce him. Rowan is not interested and tells her to leave. Eva unwillingly goes out to dinner with a man her father wants her to marry.

Separation:None.

Triggers: None, but I'd argue that Eva's father is emotionally and verbally abusive, so something to be aware of if that's a trigger for you.

HEA? Married and pregnant in epilogue.

This is my first book by Aubrey Irons and I really liked it. I enjoyed her writing style, it flowed perfectly.

Eva comes a super religious family who believe everything is a sin and you should never defy your father. Her family is moving to a new place to help with the construction on a new religious center. That's where she meets Rowan the preachers son who is perfectly sinful.

Rowan's family is very lenient when it comes to religion and Eva begins to realize she doesn't want what her father says has to be her life.

Eva and Rowan come to a understanding where he helps her out with some of her fears and insecurities, that's when the fun begins, lol.

They are both drawn to each other but, also know there's not much a future that can happen.

The banter between them was funny. I loved Rowan's sense of humor. This book had the perfect balance of drama, heat & humor.

Let me start off by saying that a) this is the first novel I have read by this author and b) I am very selective about what I pick to read.

When I scroll through the Kindle bookstore I first read descriptions of books that catch my eye. If the description entices me enough I move on to positive reviews. I read maybe two then work my way to negative ones. Negative reviews usually tell one more about a story than positive reviews. At least I think they do. I was surprised that there were very few for this book. Well once I dove in I found out why.
This is a 5 star romance novel. Beautifully written, easy flow, relatable characters.
I'll say I was apprehensive at first about the main female character being a virgin because it is so played out. How many 20-something virgins are there, that are only virgins "just 'cause" then some billionaire stalker comes and takes her away? Yawn.
This book was a breath of fresh air. Although the main male character is a bad boy who owns his own business, he's not pouring in money with some haunted past because of some terrible family who destroyed him.
In the very beginning I didn't think I would like either character, but I found myself falling in love with both.
Warning if you don't like swearing, steaming sex scense or *Spolier alert* steamy sex scenes in a church, this book is not for you.
This novel is funny, witty, hopeful, sexy and romantic. I couldn't put it down.

Temptation always comes in the guise of a sexy and cocky cover ;-)

If you are like me, you like your novels with a touch of naughty. This one is even a little forbidden as it pairs a Preacher's untouched daughter and the problematic owner of a bar. Add some teasing, lots of enticing chemistry and restrictive father, and sin is served!

I liked the taunting and naughty comments on the wicked nature of their steamy break of the rules or morality. The author paints both sides of a religious family, one that is compassionate and the other one that is obsessed.

On the other hand, the dialogues and situations sometimes feel a bit cyclic and become repetitive. However, it was fun to see Evangeline ruffled by Rowan's crude persona and breaking her father's strict upbringing.

It's not all desire and big Os in a taboo couple's life, though. Rowan's problems collide with his illicit relationship, and hell breaks loose on both of them. There's plenty of sinfully hot scenes (the confessional booth encounter is worth reading a few times), and two opposites who fall into temptation and find love. The HEA is worth reaching to.

"This is wrong. This is sin. And you know what? Send me to hell, cause I just want more." - Rowan

Oooooh readers this novel is leading me straight to hell with the "Sinner". The first thing I must say is this is a pleasurable delightfully extremely hot read about the " black sheep" wayward, hard drinking and hard loving beautifully muscled and tatooted badboy preacher's son, Rowan. This delicious man is a dive bar owner and bartender for his bar. The "angel" that comes into his life is daughter to another preacher of hard line zeal and ideas about how children of preachers should conduct themselves. He also dictates who Evangeline should blindly accept as her intended in obedience to her father.
Except Evangeline (Eva), the "angel", come to Shelter Harbor, is not exactly all that obedient or is she? She begins by asking Rowan to teach her about sex and lovemaking for her future bethroed. You know the words to the song, "The only one who could ever reach [teach] me, was the son of a preacherman." Teach and reach her he did. Of course being the truly good person that she is, Eva doesn't fall instantly for the rakish charm of Rowan. Watching them fall for each other and love grow between them; as the characters blossom into different versions of themselves is exciting, touching and beautiful. The erotsism is " off the charts" hottttt!!!
The author writes some intense drama toward the end of the story that has the reader turning pages at a clip. The descriptive language of the author is accomplished and beautiful. This is an exciting well-written dramatic sexy romance. In the words of Evangelinre, "He’s sweet, sweet, sinful temptation. And I’m falling." You as a reader will be falling happily with this sweet temptation of a read. Sin never felt so good. "Sweet, agonizingly beautiful damnation." - Eva

I was happy to accept an ARC for this story. I loved the story so much I bought a finished copy for my personal library. This review is entirely based on the absolute enjoyment I experienced reading the book.

4.5☆

This was an extremely enjoyable story, that quickly hooked me in and kept me engaged and entertained throughout. I especially love all the Hammond Siblings, as they are such a fun and crazy bunch. So I was excited to dive into this story and honestly it didn't disappoint.

I thought the main characters Rowan and Evangeline worked really well together, even if they are pretty much opposites in everyway. Their introduction to each other was truly brilliant, they shared plenty of chemistry and some hot moments. The story itself also had moments of humour, mainly thanks to the Hammond siblings and Rowans Brother in Law Silas. As well as a little crazy in the form of Evangeline's dad who as the story develops seem to become more and more unhinged. Which left me questioning how Rowan's dad was ever friends with him in the first place. But through it all I was desperately rooting for Rowan and Evangeline to get that elusive happy ending and I would definitely recommend this book to others and even though this is the second book in the Shelter Harbour Series. It can easily be read as a standalone.

I absolutely love Aubrey Irons books. In the latest Shelter Harbor book, you get a glimpse into Rowan Hammonds life. He is the ultimate bad boy and only has one use for women. That is until Eva comes into his life. She is nothing like any other woman Rowan had been with. Even though Eva is promised to another man, Rowan just can't stay away from her. She is his angel and nobody else can have what is his.

This series is awesome., and it gets better with each book. While this book is part of a series, you don't have read Thief to know what is going on in this book. If you haven't read a book by Aubrey Irons, then you are missing out. I highly recommend this book to those looking for a new author.

Sinner is a sweet romance about a bad boy preacher's son and a good girl preacher's daughter, who wants to get from under her fire and brimstone father's thumb. This is a quick read, definitely not 800 some pages as the description suggests. It had an entertaining albeit predictable storyline with a "flash" everything gets resolved quickly type ending. The characters were nice, nothing that really stood out as different or unique, just a sweet story of 2 people finding love with a little drama thrown in. There is no angst, except for the crazy preacher man. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

4.5 stars! I usually pick up books like this for a little fun and entertainment and I was not in any way disappointed. I had no idea Sinner was going to ring so true for me. 25 years ago this little Georgia church girl finally broke free of her parents ultra conservative "cult" and never looked back. (You can't imagine the drama that ensued.) I love stories with girl power and I was ready for Evangeline to realize she could fight for what she wanted. And yes, many Georgia dads have a gun collection and are domineering, egotistical, and overprotective of daughters. Note to fathers, this just makes the bad boys even more appealing.

First of all, let me give some kudos to the book’s cover model, who is working it. Seriously, he’s doing his thing and it’s all good. I won’t admit to downloading the book because of him, because that would be admitting that I’m a shallow book whore who totally judges books by their covers. (But just between you and me...I’m a shallow book whore who totally judges books by their covers. *Winks*)

I wish I could say that the book lives up to the bar set by the hot dude on the cover, but…

It’s not that this book wasn’t well-written, because it was. There was a nice flow to the dialogue and the pacing was good. I didn’t hate either of the main characters, which is always good. I also liked that the book put the wonderful Dusty Springfield version of “Son of a Preacher Man” in my head for a day or so while I was reading.

Here’s the stuff that bugged me and dragged down the book’s rating (and totally let down the hot cover dude, in my opinion):

1. I’m going to take a stab at summing up the entire plot in one sentence. Here it goes: “Oh, no, I can’t have sex with you, Mr. Hot Bartender, because I’m a good Christian girl and a virgin so...oh, what the hell, let’s do it, shall we?” Yep. That’s pretty much it. Push from the hero (come on, you know you want to have sex with me), pull from the heroine (no, no, I couldn’t possibly have sex with you), more push from the hero (come on, it’ll be great), followed by heroine totally caving and having sex with the hero. It’s exhausting to read. And tedious, frankly.

2. The whole loan shark subplot was pointless. It added absolutely nothing to the story as a whole.
The heroine’s father and his little flunky, Chastity, were one-dimensional. Their personalities never rose above the level of stereotypical zealot. It seemed their only purpose in the story was to impede the relationship between the hero and heroine.

3. The sex scenes themselves were fairly hot, but...they had sex in a church confessional, y’all. Now, I’m not an overly religious person, but even I cringed at that one.

4. With a story set in modern times, I find it ridiculous—RIDICULOUS, I say—that the whole “arranged marriage” discussion even happened, let alone that the heroine ever considered, even for a split second, that she had no choice in the matter. Ugh. Total crap.

5. The ending was super abrupt, almost like the author herself was sick of the push/pull between the characters and was just ready to end it all.

All in all, for me, this one was a whole plateful of “meh” with a side of “blah.”

Sinfully delicious

I was hooked from the beginning. What started as a love/hate reading experience turned out to be a satisfying and entertaining read for me. I loved Rowan and Evangeline’s story, but I do admit I wanted to shake some sense into Eva, and take off those blinders she had on. There were moments I was a bit frustrated over Eva being indecisive and the blind acceptance of everything her father dictated to her. It seemed her reality existed only for family and church, and not much else. But I loved how her character bloomed towards the end.

I really enjoyed Rowan, he’s absolutely funny with a wonderful sense of humor, quick witted, and just an overall good kind of bad boy. He’s also a preacher’s son. At 30, he owns O’Donnells which is the local dive bar. He’s muscled, tattooed and gorgeous with any pick of the women that run through the bar, and that’s the way he likes it. Until, he meets Evangeline Ellis.

Rowan and Eva are extreme opposites. She’s pious, naive, and as innocent as the driven snow. He’s a womanizing, tattooed, motorcycle riding bar owner. And the slow burn starts between them, only because Rowan is intrigued by the walking contradiction Eva presents. She’s beautiful and stunning, but naive and innocent. Rowan can’t help but corrupt Eva just a little. What can one preacher’s kid teach a preacher’s daughter? Quite a bit, indeed. And Eva is loving all the lessons Rowan teaches her. As Eva’s dad demands she marry an older man he’s picked for her, she makes up her mind that Rowan will be her first and teach her all about pleasure. And Eva learns more about life and what she’s been missing.

Sinner dishes out an absolute, sinfully delicious plot. It’s not too preachy, just the right amount to help understand some of the fanatic behavior of a father who is a religious zealot, and way, way over the top. But the story has wonderful characters, witty banter, humor, emotion and, of course, a whopping dollop of steamy goodness. Ms. Irons really knows how to write those sexy scenes, and my eyeballs were definitely glued to the pages when Rowan and Eva secret away to the confessional booth at the catholic church during a barbeque picnic to do the wicked dirty. I had a chuckle over that one because I know how small those things are. Throw in a loan shark, a vindictive skank, and an unappealing fiance, and you’ve got one heck of a story. And you’ll love and cheer for these two unlikely lovers in a sigh-worthy ending.

EYE-POPPING SIZZLING ROMANCE

This titillating tale is about two families who are getting together to open an outreach program in Shelter Harbor. Reverend Jacob Hammond’s family is happy, full of life and very loving. Preacher Leonard Ellis runs his family with an iron fist making life a bit uncomfortable for his wife and daughter. Evangeline the daughter of Leonard is an intelligent blue-eyed blonde beauty and has a bit of sass. Rowan the son of Jacob has a knock-out buffed body is strikingly gorgeous, and his bad boy charismatic persona melts the hearts of women. Their first encounter is a bit shameful for Evangeline; Rowan adores watching her shocked reactions to his sinful banter. The journey to their sweet happy ending has suspense, life-threatening moments, steamy sensuous romance, and the unexpected twist to who saves Evangeline from the wrath of her dad will have you cheering and smiling too.

A fantastic fast paced well written read with a bit of reality and fantasy make this a most exhilarating story. Breathtaking vivid scene descriptions and spine-chilling action keep you hooked until the end. The back-stories are intriguing and the chemistry between Evangeline and Rowan shine in this story; their relationship is filled with fiery passion and much devotion. I loved these two together as they blended well together. The author does a wonderful job showing that following your heart and true desires is important to have a gratifying life. I really enjoyed this story and found it to be a most entertaining read. If you treasure bad boy romances this is a fabulous book for your library. {This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy}. Without reservations, I recommend this book.

Aubrey Irons delivers another winner with Sinner! This is the second standalone in her Shelter Harbor series, focusing on Rowan Hammond, who is Ivy's brother and Silas' best friend from Thief.

Rowan is the son of a reverend, but his family is on the liberal side -- heck, the guy owns the dive bar in town! Evangeline (Eva) and her family come to visit from Georgia so her bible-thumping, ultra-conservative evangelical preacher father can help his old friend, Rev. Hammond, build a community center. Rowan, who is a bit of a manwhore, and Eva, whom he thinks looks like an angel from the first second he sees her, are immediately drawn to each other, and begin spending more and more time together as he "teaches" her about.... let's say, certain things. Even though Rowan knows he's bad and damaged and would taint Eva's pure innocence, he can't stay away. And even though her father has "God's plan" outlined for Eva, she can't stay away from Rowan, either.

Not only does Irons once again craft an enjoyable romance from start to finish with fleshed-out characters, but her supporting characters are solid and fleshed-out as well, without overshadowing the H/h. And I loved the message by the end about following your heart and desires... even from the one supporting character I never expected it from!

I look forward to reading about the rest of the Hammond sibilings -- I've been waiting for Kyle to get his own story since Player!!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

A minister's son and a preacher's daughter that are as different as night and day find the person they didn't know they were missing in Sinner. Rowan is a far from your idea of a minister's son as you can get; tattoos, owns a bar, enjoys the ladies and a dirty mouth are what Evangeline finds when she shows up at his bar to get the keys for the rental property her family will be staying at while in town helping out his father. Angel is what Rowan thinks when he wakes, hungover, to find Evangeline in his office. Total opposites, but neither can resist the temptation the other represents when Eva asks Rowan to teach her about being with a man, since her father has set up a suitable man for her to marry. The fathers, although friends from seminary school, couldn't be more different either; Mr. Hammond, Rowan's father, is happy, loves his family and in his way embraces his children's' differences. While Preacher Ellis rules with an iron fist; his word is the end all and his daughter and wife are a reflection of that thinking. Rowan and Eva will follow their hearts regardless of what may happen and when all is reveled will they be strong enough to come out of it together, regardless of the consequences? I loved Sinner from Aubrey Irons! Rowan and Eva are so different, yet perfect for the other. i voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

In Thief, we met Rowan, Ivy Hammond’s brother and best friend to Silas Hart, so we know a bit of his back story involving how his dreams of a college hockey scholarship were smashed along with his leg. Sinner is the story of Rowan and Evangeline. Rowan isn’t your typical preacher’s son – no, he’s a gorgeous, tattooed dive-bar owner. And a manwhore who doesn’t really see the point of turning away the hordes of loose women throwing themselves at him on a nightly basis. That is, until he meets the virginal 21-year-old Evangeline, who has accompanied her parents to help out for a few months with the ministry’s outreach and homeless shelter. While Rowan’s parents are, of course, religious, they have a sensible approach to faith and human behaviour, in sharp contrast to the bible-thumping ranting preferred by Evangeline’s father, who rules his family with an iron fist. Having already chosen Evangeline’s future husband from his parishioners (a rounded, older, but rich, divorced man), he informs her in no uncertain terms that she will marry Milton. Evangeline, on the other hand, can’t help the way that Rowan’s attentions make her feel for the first time in her life. The attraction between the two ministers’ children is undeniably hot! Super story, great dialogue and solid character development.

HEAVENLY HOTNESS!!! If there were ever a reason to read a book, this is it! Holy Hell! Rowan, a preachers son that fell astray and lost faith in love. Evangelina (Eva) raised by her father’s Godly rule. He’s a preacher that lives literally by the word and swears that sin will only bring Fire and Brimstone. Only, he’s preaching what HE wants to believe as the word and believes that Giving His Daughter to another Godly man without her consent is OK. She, with the enlightenment of Rowan, now sees the err of her father’s delusional ways and comes to the conclusion that choosing her Own way is OK and NOT against the word of God or her Faith as she believes it. That she CAN fall in Love with someone that she chooses and not burn in Hell. At first Eva was a conquest, a game to Rowan, until he realizes that he has feelings for her, more than anything he’s ever felt for anyone before. Their bond is powerful, their lust is Erotic and their love is beautiful!
Aubrey’s brought light to things that we think of, morality, faith, etc…. This is truly a very wonderfully HOT read. This was an amazing story by Aubrey Irons and I am so touched and love Rowan & Eva that I can’t wait read more from her! Don’t miss out on this!!! Rowan the bad boy with a heart, a reverend's son, owner of a dive bar, a man with the kind of past he would like to keep there, loves his women on the easier non committal side, snarky with with that alpha sexiness that he knows how to use to his advantage has met his match, Eva she came to town with her extremely religious family, her father a preacher as well to help with an outreach project, she has been under her fathers strict rule for 21 years, she knows some ways of the outside world, and as much as Rowan “disgusts” her, she is intrigued and attracted as well, Rowan is attracted and wants what he cannot have.. Going against her father could have dire consequences for them both
This IMO was a great read, I love Rowan! He ranks in my top 5 of Book Boyfriends! I may have to read this book again soon!
I am in love with the fact we to see them get to know each other some, sure the insta attraction is obviously there, but they had an opportunity to find out more about each other than just sex, ( not saying that's not important…)
This one was filled with copious amounts of wittiness, severely hot scenes, sweet heart tugging dramatic moments and a sweet love story ending hea. Aubrey Irons has done it again! I cannot wait to see what comes next!

Another great read

I am a huge fan of Aubrey irons books. It's one reason why I volunteer to read advance copies of her stories as well as buy them when they come out. I read this story in two days (between working) and didn't want to put it down. I could connect with the two characters in this story on a personal level. I would read this book again.
Overview. Evangeline (Eva) and her family (mom, dad, and a church member Charity) decided to travel from Georgia to Boston area to help another church build a church and help the community. Eva's father is the pastor and is very religious. He was driving people crazy with blessing each nail that was hammered into the building. Eva met Rowan the preachers son whom owns a bar on day one. She walked into his office to see him naked, passed out, hung over, and hitting on her. But Rowan decided that he wanted her. She was beautiful and untouched, but he wasn't looking for a girlfriend. Eva finds her self doubting her father and some of their beliefs. When she is told that she will be forced to marry a guy who's been divorced and is 10 years + older she freaks and goes to the one person she shouldn't. But Rowan can't say no to Eva. Which putts them both in a tough spot. Will love prevail.

This was a fun rollercoaster of a ride to be a part of. Eva is a preacher's daughter. She is supposed to follow a line. She is supposed to marry well within the church. She is supposed to not speak out, speak up, speak back, and to do as she is told. WRONG!

This story shows us that sometimes family expectations are too high or unrealistic for the person. Eva just wants to find herself. She isn't given any opportunity for that. Her father is over the top with his actions.

Rowan, a preachers son, has a more liberal family. They are close knit and have been through a few things that have tore them apart to bring them back closer than ever. Rowan is a dive bar owner, trying to make it on his own at almost 30. He has his hands in some things that they shouldn't be but he is trying to take care of himself the best way he knows how.

Eva and Rowan meet when Eva's family comes to help Rowan's family with a building to be built for the homeless. Rowan knows Eva is forbidden, that she is pure, and that only wants him to get to know her more.

These two melted me. They really got the raw end of the deal towards the end. I thought it wouldn't happen for them but Eva's mom really surprises everyone with making a move that will help Eva be a stronger woman.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was full of heat, conflict and humour.

This is written from both POV's, which worked well, as both main characters grew during the story. I didn't feel that decisions were 'out of character' because we had seen the thoughts and feelings that led to them being made.

The story had good pace, was written in a very easy to read style and had some amazing characters. Not all were nice but they were all interesting and rounded. The dialogue was natural and the two main characters were not only likable but also believable.

My only issue was Eva saying 'oh my God' as often as she did. A girl raised in such a religious household wouldn't say it. Unless this was the author showing us the fire and independence hidden inside Eva. My apologies to the author if this is the case, but I'm not great at analysing literature.

Overall this was a fun and engaging read. I cared about Rowan (swoon) and Eva, got frustrated, at times, by Eva (but her decisions reflected her upbringing) and really wanted them to be happy.

I was pulled into this story from the very first chapter and could not put it down, Rowan is pretty much the black sheep of his family, His father is the pastor of the local church and has asked a friend from college to come up to their town to help build and open a community center. Eva (Evangeline) Her Father (who is a religious extremist) her mom and Charity a follower have come to help. When Eva shows up at Rowans bar to pick up the key to the rental cabin she finds Rowan face down on his couch in his office naked as the day he was born, and OH boy she just cant look away. She is pure and innocent but there is just something about the Greek God laying there that hits her.
I absolutely could not put this book down, I LOVED the attraction between Rowen and Eva, (his angel) I LOVED how Eva's mom finally took matters in her own hand. This book was just so good I read it in one sitting. I love Aubrey Irons work and highly recommend this book

This story was fun and engaging. There was the perfect amount of suspense and action. I loved the story line of a pure preacher’s daughter falling for a rough and hard bar owner. I loved that the characters were well developed and bold in their actions. The reader gets a sense of the world that they live in and their reasons for their choices. This is a story that when the reader gets they will need to set some time away to read it. You will not want to put it down. It is so complex yet beautifully written that one cannot help but become engrossed in the story. Aubrey Irons as an author has a way of writing so that the characters are detailed and match their story line this story was no exception. The romance and feelings that each character felt could also be felt by the reader and it was great to see the development of the characters over the story line, how they opened up and grew their own opinions and beliefs based on their own experiences. Excellent story and other hit for sure. I received an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. I am a new reader of Aubrey and I absolutely loved this book. Rowan and Eva are two characters anyone can easily fall in love with. The preacher's son turned bad boy and the preacher's daughter who so very much wants to be bad.The bad boy and the angle. Rowan falls very easily for Eva from the beginning and realizes that she wants to be bad. Let me tell you, you have to read this to see what he does to turn her bad. But hold on to your panties because it is steamy hot. I am thinking Rowan might be my new book boyfriend. He is freaking yummy. I loved the storyline of this book. I loved the chemistry between all the characters and loved how things worked out in the end for everyone involved. There is a part of the book that you want to stop throw the book and start over again. But you have to hold on and see what happens. Loved the suspense that was thrown in makes the book even better. This book I would give at least an 8 not a 5 yep it is that good. Highly recommend.. Enjoy this book. It will be added to my favorite for 2017

Aubrey Irons is awesome!

This book was so clever in so many different ways!

I loved the way she weaved an innocence about Eva while she was "taught" by Rowan! It shouldn't have worked but it did and it was perfect!

This story was told in a way that was heartfelt (and hot) but still so believable!

There were laugh out loud moments from the dialogue between these two but their connection was always palpable through the pages!

It simmered underneath the surface of the entire book!

Both these characters experienced growth in this book and that helped make this such a refreshing to read so when added to the depth and tangibility of this tale it was a done deal!

I fell in love with both characters and this book held my attention from the start to the very end!

5+ stars for such an awesomely created tale of a forbidden love that could overcome all obstacles!

5 stars for this book is not enough. Right from the beginning the story had me captivated and wanting more. The banter between Eva (the preacher's daughter) and Rowan (a preacher's son) was what kept my attention throughout including some very sexy scenes and the chemistry between the two along the way.
Eva is a preacher's daughter through and through, obedient, never defies her father and is a good girl. Rowan is like the black sheep of his family but his family accepts him and they are close now. When Eva is supposed to marry a man she has never met because her father wants her to she goes to Rowan to ask for lessons for their wedding night. He shows her alright but along the way things get complicated and when her father finds out you'll be turning the pages to find out as fast as you can to see what unfolds. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!

Holy smokes

Wow smoking hot I have to say that when I seen the cover of this book and read what it was about I knew I had to get it. And I'm so glad that I did, once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down.

The story is about a young girl who grow up in a religious house and always been shelter about the outside world but all that changes the moment she meet Rowan. Now Rowan is the preachers son and the owner of the dive in bar in town his full of tattoos he don't look like a preachers son.

When he see Eva for the first time he think his seen an angel and that's when he start to call her. After he finds out who she is he knows that he needs to stay away from her but in their case what start as a game of teaching and list they start falling for each other.

I really love and enjoy reading this book love the characters and love how the book turn out to be.

Rowan was a dirty, bad boy who owned a bar, women loved him and he loved them - for the night and then well, he just went to the next "lucky lady".
When Evangeline Ellis arrived, he could tell what she was, too inexperienced to be in his bar, her innocence shone from her eyes, and he wanted to take that purity and dirty it up, make her crave the lust and everything he can give her, make her his.
But Eva's father, the preacher, has promised her to someone else, will she follow her father's wishes or seek a life of her own?

An entertaining story. Rowan's cash problem could have been explained a little better, I thought the conclusion to the problem was rushed a little. Great characters and main storyline though, very sexy. I highly recommend this book.
