Jaya I got shot. Fired. And my partner was left in a wheelchair. Heading home to Chicago to lick my literal and figurative wounds, I ran into the one person I never expected to see again. My ex, Colt Sharpe. The love of my life. The reason my heart beat. The man who left me with five minutes’ notice and never looked back. This city isn’t big enough for the both of us.
Colt I’m a Navy SEAL. A successful CEO. But the one thing that’s missing is something I’ll never get back. The girl I’ve loved all my life. Then she walked back into my life, scowling, snarling and hating my guts. Jaya Martinson was the woman I was meant to be with. Meant to have babies with. She can’t stand me now but I’m not above playing dirty to get what I want. And all I want is Jaya.
Author’s Promise: A Steamy Second Chance Military Romance with a HEA ending.
Piper Sullivan is an old school romantic who enjoys reading romantic stories as much as she enjoys writing them. She spends her time day-dreaming of dashing heroes and the feisty women they love.
Un romance militar con segunda oportunidad. Predecible. Lectura pasable.
Seal'd to Her de Piper Sullivan
Me gustó.
I just have to say there is something about Piper Sullivan’s books. Each book I pick up to read it just draws me in from the first page. The only thing to dislike about her books is they are too short. I loved this book. I loved Colton he was so down to earth and he knew what he wanted. Jaya was very lost because of some tragic things that happened in her past. Together Colton and Jaya had chemistry. They just had to work on their communication. I loved this book from start to finish. Definitely 5 stars. I voluntarily received a copy for my honest review.
Humility and heartbreak...this is such a heartrendering story about miscommunication, choices and consequences that rip lives asunder! But then Ms. Sullivan grabs your emotions by the tail and whips Colt and Jaya into shape by forcing an honest admission that brings acceptance and forgiveness. The palpable pain is evident in Ms. Sullivan's writing but so is the scorching chemistry and happily ever after that she paints so gloriously and you turn the last page with a smile! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
A story that is very well written and uses a realistic language. It is written with words that captivates you and makes you feel you are there with the main characters. Jaya and Colt has been together several years ago. She does not know what happened then. He wants a second chance with her now. She does not put up with him without giving him a rough time. Jaya wants to be together with Colt. But the great chemistry and very complex emotions they have towards each other makes it all difficult. They have to get the past out on the table and go on to have their HEA. In this story communication really is a topic that would have made everything easier for them. Luckily Colt is determined that he wants Jaya to be his again. The story is hot and has steamy scenes in it. It has also made me laugh, feel angst, hotness and sigh. I was a bit too predictable but I liked it very much in spite of that.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Another good one from Ms. Sullivan. I enjoyed this second chance romance. It was a little angst-y but had an underlying sweet vibe to it than ran through til the end. I definitely recommend it to those who love sweet, military-esque romance.
I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.
I really enjoyed this book. I guessed the secret that Colt didn't know but was curious as to why Jaya hadn't told him. This book is heartbreaking and uplifting in parts. True love really will overcome obstacles and miscommunication.
First let me say I really enjoyed this book with the struggle between the two characters Jaya and Colt. How Colt went off to serve his country with ever telling his long time girlfriend, and never returned any of her text. Just assumed he was doing the right thing for them. Jaya had been crushed beyond anything by his leaving her and what happened to her afterwards. It wasn't until she left Miami police force after being shot twice while trying to settle a domestic situation, and to just ask the shooter some question; the the police force wanting her to apologize to the shooter after he had even crippled her partner for life. She returned home to her mothers to regroup and to receive much needed physical therapy if she was ever to be able to use her right arm again. Her mother and Colt's mother had been friends for years but had just recently moved across the hallway from one another. It was at the invitation that she went with her mother for dinner across the hallway that she looked and saw Colt standing in the living room.
Colt hadn't know that Jaya was next door, or that she was coming to dinner, it was just before she arrived that he found out that she was, that she had been shot, and things were not going well for her.
She was so angry she turned around and left but the mothers assured him she would be back as soon as she collected herself and she did.
There are things that Colt does not know about Jaya things that if he had stayed in touch with her he would have know but he had left no way for her to do that. His email account was closed from the college that they both attended before his abrupt departure. She was left alone to deal with things on her own. It wasn't until later in the story Colt realized he forgot to give her his military email and how misguided his frustration had been about her.
The story goes on, he is a big shot security, type now and is offering her a job in his organization. With not may option right now and not know what or where she would go she excepts the position if in her mind temporarily. This is a really good story and I don't want to tell too much of it and spoil it for everyone. You just have to read it.
This book also came with several other books along with it and I have to say that each book was excellent; that was the only reason that it took me so long to finish the book itself. Definitely a must read
Another fabulous book from Piper Sullivan! Colt and Jaya hadn't seen each other in years, since he left for the Navy Seals and never looked back. Jaya had came home to lick her wounds after being shot and fired from being a homicide detective and her partner now in a wheel chair. Colt didn't even know she was back. Neither one knew their moms had planned to get them all back in the same place for dinner. The spark was still there and Colt was determined to get her back. The love of his life. Jaya had no plans to reunite after the hell she went through and the terrible things that happened. That didn't stop Colt from trying and he offered her a job at his security company where he employed all his ex-seal buddies. From that moment on he constantly tried to win her over and finally the sparks blew up into a huge bonfire. Jaya could no longer deny she still loved him. Both never knew exactly the real story of what happened all those years ago and when the truth comes out, can they work through it? Don't miss this story! Hot sex, best book boyfriend ever, drama, friendship, family, loyalty, honesty, true love. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Jaya and Colt’s second chance HEA is a story of perseverance, hope, and love. Jaya life is in desperate need of a restart button. Her last call with the Miami PD homicide left with a partner in a wheelchair, a DV call with a perp that caused the mess crying foul and his victim protecting him and a badly timed bullet in her chest, and Jaya without a job. Dejected she decides to head home to Chicago to regroup and figure out her next steps. She just didn't think that would land her face to face with her past…Colt Sharpe. They grew up together and she thought they loved each other, but when he left without so much as Dear John letter for the service and broke her heart she was shattered. Colt had always planned on coming back to Jaya. He only left so that he could set phase one of their future together on track. Now a decade later the fates have seen to bring them back together and he is not letting her escape this time. He is going to get back the only woman he has ever loved. But wounds run deep and he is going to need work very hard to win back her trust and her heart. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.
SEAL'd to Her is on of my favorite type of romances when the sexy guy, Colt Sharpe an ex-Navy SEAL gets a second chance with Jaya Martinson his ex-girlfriend. When he left for the Navy in the middle of college, he made some big mistakes. First he did not discuss his plans until he was ready to leave, which upset her and he didn't give her his contact information in the military.
She felt abandoned, faced the loss of their baby alone and changed the course of her career to avoid Colt. She returns to Chicago after being shot in her job as a cop in Florida. She needs a job and Colt's company needs a logistic specialist with her skills so they are drawn back together and he keeps trying to restart their relationship.
Both their mother's add a lot of fun, lots of motherly love and encouragement. Misunderstandings are brought into the open and healing helps solve the problems for these two in a very happy ending.
This is a great second chance story between Jaya and Colt, ex-high school sweethearts. Jaya is a detective in Miami and her last call goes sideways and she walks away and goes home to Chicago to recover. Colt left for the Navy during his first semester of college and does not look back and makes his dream of owning his own top security company come true. Jaya has had a hard time with how things went down all those years ago and wants nothing to do with Colt but their attraction and Colts desire to have Jaya drives them together. The only thing that is stopping them is the past and if they can work out the past then there's a chance for them. This is a great love story between childhood friends. At times you will feel Jaya's pain, laugh, and get hot under the collar!! I voluntarily received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Wonderful story about a Seal and the woman he left behind. Colt had left for the Navy and didn’t tell Jaya until the day he left for training. They didn’t see each other again until Jaya got shot in the line of duty and came back to her mother’s to regroup. Both still loved each other but was there too much history for them to get together again? Will Colt convince Jaya that he has always loved her? Get the book and read about it. There is a secret that you will find out. Piper once again built a great story from her plot where she built her character up. She has the talent to make you fell like you are there in the story living it with the characters. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Piper Sullivan did wonders with this book! This book really does show what happens to people in every day life when it comes to someone making big life changes to better their future and the miscommunication that unfortunately happens sometimes that will push people apart. Even after all that time of being apart, neither one of them has forgotten each other and the love that once had...or better yet never lost. They find their way back to each other even though she tries to push him away still. I thought the story line was fantastic and very hot!! Like super hot that you need a cold shower kinda super hot!!
Jaya and Colt reconnect after Jaya returns to her hometown. Jaya is determined to keep Colt firmly in the business relationship category. After the way Colt left her before, Jaya doesn't want anything to do with Colt romantically.
Colt doesn't understand why Jaya hates him...she was the one who didn't write him when he joined the military for their future. When Colt finds out what happened to Jaya, he wonders if he has any chance of getting the woman he's always loved back.
Read the book to find out what happened to Jaya and Colt...and what will happen. I volunteered to review for an ARC of the book.
This was a real good "second chance" story. When Colt left to join the Navy, he broke Jaya's heart and she hasn't forgiven him. A shooting incident not only wounds Jaya but causes her to quit her job as a Miami homicide detective. Returning home to Chicago, the last thing Jaya wants is a run-in with Colt. Fate- and meddling mothers- have a different plan. When all the information about the past comes to light, will Colt be able to win Jaya's heart again? I loved Colt. He was patient, understanding and HOT.
*I received an Advance Readers Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
Sometimes when life hands us a second chance, there's a reason for things happening the way they do. Jaya and Colt had a breakup full of miscommunication and assumptions. The way that they were able to reconnect was emotional and touching. It was also frustrating at times, but I really enjoyed the twists and turns in their story, and it was good to see they had both moved on in their lives despite everything that had happened. Getting a new chance at happiness was an opportunity they couldn't ignore. I really enjoyed this story, and I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Jaya was a detective of homicide division in Miami. On a call she and her partner were both shot. She comes back home to Chicago and stays with her mom. Colt comes to diner with his mom and there she is the love of his life. He offers her a job and tries to win her back. I love second chance romance and this is a great one. I also love the way Piper Sullivan weaves Jaya and Colt story together. This one is well worth your time. I received an ARC and have voluntarily left a review.
Seal's to Her is a second chance romance. Jaya a former police officer returns home to Chicago after being shot & runs into her ex boyfriend Cole a former Seal & now a billionaire. She wants nothing to do with him because she still can't forgiven him for leaving her. But Cole wants her back & will not take no for an answer. When the two get together the chemistry is off the charts & the sex is steamy! Loved the humour & bantering between Jaya & Cole. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.
The story starts off with things going on. Right away the story pulls you in and keeps you reading till the end. I thought the story was good and characters were likable. Second chances for trying to make a relationship work, makes for a even better read. Jaya and Colt have chemistry and can heat the pages up. Another great story from the author. Hope to keep reading from the author or stalking their shelves. Got ARC for an honest review. Thank you for sharing your book with me.
Colt and Jaya get a second chance at true love. This book was pure romance. The sweet, touching, romantic with sensual love scenes that make you sigh. If there was ever a book that showed true lasting love it was this one. Colt and Jaya loved each other for years. Even apart, angry and hurting it never went away. This book touched my romantic heart and made it so flip flops. So if you want that kind of romance you have to read this book. I voluntarily received this ARC for an honest review.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. My favorite book by this author!! I was hooked from the beginning until the end! Her books are the perfect length for when you don't have the time to really invest in a full length book. Jaya and Colt were former sweethearts who had a misunderstanding that led to heartache on both sides. Fast forward ten years when they meet again and begin to fall for each other all over again. A really great and quick read!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
Ms. Sullivan does it again. I just love her books. Once you start reading, you will not be able to stop. Her characters and plot are so believable. The story is written with dual POVs so you really connect with the characters. Be prepared for a fun, fast read with just enough angst for a second chance romance. Highly recommend.
This a starstruck love story. If you are up to for a romance with a sexy SEAL and some hot scenes This is the book for you!
Jaya is a homicide detective in Miami till the day that as part of an investigation she ended in a domestic violence scene were she an her partner got shot. Ending her career and deciding to return home, Chicago.
She didn't know what was waiting for her at home. The mother of her ex is her mother neighbor and the two are matchmaking.
Colt didn't know a thing about his ex since the day he told her that he was leaving to the NAVY just hours before he was suppose to leave. He was and still is hurt because of her silence treatment. But when he sees her all bets are off. He still love her and he is going to win her love again.
Jaya try to stay away from Colt but she ends working for him. Now staying away is even harder, not because she is working but because he is not done with her.
Can they work things? Can they move foward? Will the secret between them break them apart? Or will LOVE rise?

I voluntarily read this free ARC for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book, the characters were all so strong & well developed. The miscommunication of 2young people in love caused a decade of pain for both of them. Colt & Jaya have been friends since first grade & in love since eighth grade, that is until Colt decides to leave college & join the Navy for the betterment of their future without talking it over with Jaya. Devastated by the loss of the love of her life, Jaya attempts to move on only to be devastated by another loss a few months later. Now a decade later they're brought back together by Colt's plan for them & hopefully their future. Slowly they get closer only to have the same fears of abandonment again for Jaya when Colt doesn't show up for a special dinner. We get to see the clear torment for both of them when it looks like their happy relationship might been torn apart again. I definitely recommend this book.
Jaya and Colt have a history in the past. After years of separation - he enlisted in the Navy and became SEAL, she moved to Miami and was a police officer - they meet again because of a tragedy in her life. When they meet, the past has surfaced. Colt wanted back the only woman's love for him. Jaya only wanted the sharp pain to go away. And Colt did not even know what the pain was.
Between uncompromising dating and bombastic revelations, would the couple have any chance of reconciliation?
Colt had left to prepare a future for them. But there was a problem: he forgot to include her in the plans and warn her about his leaving. Wounded, Jaya had to face some difficult moments herself, and she did not want them back. But the chemistry between them was deep and great. And what harm would it take to just play the moment? Until Colt takes the next step and Jaya is forced to show him that the past was still haunting them...
This book, even if it was a short one was ultimately an excellent book, it made me fall more in love with seals and military, I love the idea that they have been one of those lifelong loves and that as children their love continues to remain intact. I fell in love with colt not surrendering and fighting for beautiful jayaThis book, even if it was a short one was ultimately an excellent book, it made me fall more in love with seals and military, I love the idea that they have been one of those lifelong loves and that as children their love continues to remain intact. I fell in love with colt not surrendering and fighting for the beautiful jaya. Love their mothers because they're creamy housers, I fell in love with the story and the way I write about it I loved. In short, what I recommend for it is a very short story that I could read quite quickly and leaves you very in love.
4.5 stars Excellent contemporary military/Law enforcement and second chance romance. Cole formed his own security company after spending years as a Navy SEAL. Suddenly, the girl He loved since childhood, Jaya is back in his life and he wants to keep her there. Jaya was recently shot while on duty so she moved home to her moms. She never expected to see Cole again. Jaya has had a lot of heartache and pain throughout her life and now seeing Cole brings out her distrust. There is an ongoing struggle for the main characters as well as anger, loss and bitterness. It was a quick smooth read but was a tad predictable which is fine. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.
"I'm not above playing dirty to get what I want. And all I want is Jaya."
Oooh I love Colt. This sweet, hot, determined, former SEAL really got me hooked. And Jaya. This girl has been through a lot and I admire her for trying to heal, to move forward, and to find her happiness. A former SEAL and an ex homicide cope, yup this one is a badass couple.
As for the book. I enjoyed reading this second chance romance. Although it's a bit predictable for me, it doesn't take away the fun of reading this sweet story. I got the angst, the hotness and the love, so yeah, I like this book.
If you love second chance romance, you need to try this one.
